Then a normal episode of Underground Television. The Twitter link at the bottom of my page is also for the results to this promotion. They get posted in real time as I play the matches. Here are some of the angles:
Eddie Fyne and Northern Outlaw Wrestling forced themselves into Underground Wrestling early in the summer. Fyne purchased the rights to the Underground Podcast for $150,000 and then renamed it the Outlaw Cast. At first the show was exclusively for the NOW talent but Underground Wrestling talent was slowly added. Eventually NOW talent began appearing on Underground Television.
Bryan Danielson and Crossbones have had quite the feud over the last 2 weeks. Crossbones stunned the Underground Wrestling fans by defeating Danielson for the NOW Heavyweight Title. Crossbones further stunned fans by winning the rematch a week later. Danielson has challenged Crossbones to a third and final match. He's willing to put the Underground Television Title on the line against the NOW Heavyweight Title. At Frightfest 09 it will be title vs. title as Bryan Danielson takes on Crossbones.
Adam Pearce has finally been granted a shot at the Underground Championship. Sweet N Sour Inc. has had their sights set on championship gold for over a year and have failed at every turn to capture it. Can Adam Pearce defeat Brent Albright for the Underground Championship at Frightfest 09?
Age of the Fall have a list. Take out Delirious, Mike Quackenbush and any other good guys in Underground Wrestling. Necro Butcher is after the first name on the list... Mike Quackenbush. Age of the Fall will also be challenging for the Underground Tag Team Titles.
Here's the card for Frightfest 09:
Eddie Kingston vs. Chuck Taylor Young Bucks vs. Backseat Boyz Patriot III vs. Savage-T the Samoan Island Tribe vs. Northstar Express the Heartbreak Express vs. Naptown Dragons Ultramantis Black and Dr. Cube vs. Barking Spiders Delirious and Daizee Haze vs. Brodie Lee and Trinity DeNucci Necro Butcher vs. Mike Quackenbush Erick Stevens vs. J.D. He's 3-0 against Danielson and he deserves a shot at the Television Title. Commissioner Charlie Cox walks out. He admits that he doesn't view Crossbones as a contender for the Television Title. Crossbones needs to sweeten the deal. Maybe make things title vs. title again. Crossbones agrees to put his NOW Heavyweight Title belt on the line.
Arik Cannon pins Brodie Lee w/ the Glimmering Warlock Lee absolutely dominated the early going. He hit a big swinging sidewalk slam and then caught Cannon with the Big Boot. Cannon managed to avoid the three count with a foot on the ropes. Lee applied a bear hug in an attempt to wear down Cannon. Cannon avoided a corner charge and then caught Lee with two Glimmering Warlocks to get the win.
Jimmy Jacobs and Tyler Black are backstage. Jacobs laments the fact that the Kings of Wrestling escaped with the titles last night. But the Age of the Fall isn't through yet. They have an automatic rematch for the belts next week. This time they'll capture the Underground Tag Team Titles.
Young Bucks d. Northstar Express when Matt pins Cruz with the More Bang For Your Buck Matt Jackson and Darin Corbin started the match. Jackson and Corbin exchange a few arm drags and attempted a few high flying moves as they felt each other out. Corbin and Cruz managed to hit the Cruz Control but Nick made the save. Ryan Cruz tagged in. Matt dodged a dropkick. Matt and Nick hit a flipping sitout facebuster and then the More Bang For Your Buck to get the win.
Larry Sweeney and Adam Pearce come down to the ring. Sweeney says that October just wasn't there month. They failed to capture the tag titles and then failed to capture the Underground Title. Sweet N Sour Inc. won't let this get them down though. They will capture a championship in Underground Wrestling sooner or later. He's working on signing a big name to his group. So stay tuned. Everyone's going to be surprised.
J.D. Maverick pins Brad Armstrong with the Top Rope Elbow Drop Maverick and Armstrong went back and forth all match. Maverick managed to escape the Russian Leg Sweep. Maverick finally hit the Top Rope Elbow Drop to get the in.
Underground Champion Brent Albright is backstage. He's been told by Commissioner Charlie Cox that he'll probably be facing the winner of the title vs. title match later this month. Crossbones or Bryan Danielson would make for very tough challengers.
Harker Dirge pins Dupae Rupa with the Dirt Nap Dirge made really short work of Rupa and got the win with the Dirt Nap.
Louden Noxious catches up with Drake Younger before his match. Younger says that last night was a mistake. He overlooked Dirty Ernie and lost the trophy because of that. He's not going to make the same mistake tonight. He's going to win back the trophy.
King of the Deathmatch Trophy Match: Drake Younger pins Dirty Ernie with Drake's Landing Younger was true to his word here. Ernie barely got any offensive moves in as Younger brutally beat him down. Younger smashed a series of light tubes over the head of Ernie and then finally hit Drake's Landing to win the King of the Deathmatch Trophy for the third time.
Bryan Danielson says that he plans for tonight's match to be his final match with Crossbones no matter what the result is.
Title vs. Title: Bryan Danielson submit Crossbones with the Cattle Mutilation to win the NOW Heavyweight Title Danielson seemed to finally figure out Crossbones in this match. Danielson absolutely dominated this match. He applied a Triangle Choke but Crossbones got a foot in the ropes. Danielson finally locked in the Cattle Mutilation and got the win and is now a double champion.
Underground Champion Brent Albright can be seen watching the match on the entrance ramp and then walking to the back as the show fades to black.
