I have liked the character, but after seeing the documentary on A&E this weekend finally that showcased him, to me his card just doesn't seem powerful enough (despite the triple finisher).
Anyone on the Legends team care to comment on how his stats were derived?

I don't claim to speak for the rest of the LOW team, but I believe his final stats were toned down from the draft we provided.
I no longer have the original, but I believe the changes were: Charts were B/A/B/B instead of B/B/B/C He had a "dazed-1" on Level 2 Defense in place of a "hurt-2"

That would be cool. Honestly I think a lot the vintage guys should be at least a bit more powerful. Gotch had a title reign of about 5 years, Lewis's record is one of the best ever.

Oh well, maybe in the second printing of Vintage we can correct that.

The stats Tim mentioned sound about right to me, from what I remember. Maybe a SE card in his future? I wouldn't mind seeing one. But keep in mind, the changes that were made were largely from Tom. So it'd be up to him to decide on that. I think with the final version that came out, Strangler does have a good card. (You can tell from my current avatar that he does well for me.) But when I first brought him in to my fed, he had a rough start. I wouldn't mind seeing a few more changes. But it seems like no matter how tough you make a card, the dice may have other plans.

He had some awesome matches with Dan Severn in my fed, but ultimately, I made him Killer Kowalski's advisor. Since he trained the man who trained Kowalski, it seemed like a perfect fit.
Take care,
Jay

I hade the same experience as Cory. Lewis bounced around different regions and finally found his spot wrestling in my Texas region, which emphasizes hardcore wrestling. He does a great job as a heel running down the hardcore style the fans love. Next stop a title shot against champ Bo Bo Brazil.

Ed Lewis was champ in my fed for a while. His triple finisher was so deadly!
