Breaking News
Not sure what to make of it at this time but the LWF off-season show "Ring of Victory" has had its time-slot cancelled. Fans are sure to hear some interesting developments at the 2010-2011 LWF Season Premiere. Not sure what this means for the two LWF titles featured in that promotion, nor whether there are any plans for the LotF roster to be shopped to a new network.

LWF 2010-2011 Season Premiere- The show kicks off with Rikidozan, who comes out with the LWF World Heavyweight Title. Rikidozan speaks through a translator and tells the LWF fans that he is proud to be the reigning champion. Rikidozan is still wearing a brace on his knee from his match last season against Superstar Graham, which was re-injured again by Don Muraco and the Heenan Family. Rikidozan says he welcomes any and all challengers.
Frank Gotch and the Ortons interrupt Rikidozan. They surround him and start to taunt him. Eventually, they go for his knee! There’s a brawl in the interview area. Three-on-one! Bob Orton Jr. chop blocks Riki at the knees and the champ is down. Just then, Harley Race charges in with a steel chair and cleans house!
- Before the first match gets underway, Chairman Filsinger comes out and announces that there will be some major changes this season in the LWF. First off, he notes that no one on the roster is “protected”. He also notes that he personally dropped many stars from the active roster. And he states that, with Ring of Victory no longer around, the LWF needs to drop some belts. So he makes the first match a UNIFICATION MATCH for the LWF World and US Tag Titles!
- The Heartbreak Express (w/Jonny Fairplay) def. Brent Albright & D’Lo Brown © (w/Sherry Martel) in an LWF Tag-Title Unification Match
The match starts out with Albright & Brown dominating the Heartbreaks with their power advantage. But a well-timed interference gives Sean Davis the upperhand and the Heartbreak Express get a pin on D’Lo after a Heartbreaker. THE HEARTBREAK EXPRESS HAVE WON THE LWF TAG-TEAM TITLES! (16:30) B-
- The next match is scheduled to be Frank Gotch going against Mike Quackenbush but Gotch does not come out. A frustrated Chairman Filsinger comes out to the ring and announces that the LWF roster has had a walk-out. Show’s over. Pick up a refund at the door. Filsinger drops the mic and walks out of the building.
- An interviewer catches up with the Ortons outside the arena. Bob Orton Sr. says that this was something “the boys” had been discussing ever since Filsinger’s plan to mix up the rosters of the “real” legends with these Ring of Victory guys first came to light. Sr. said he doesn’t feel that those guys have earned their spots in the LWF and if Filsinger thinks so highly of them then let him have ‘em.
- An interviewer catches up with Harley Race who says he has no comment on the situation.
- An interviewer runs into Bobby Heenan who says that not “all” the Legends feel this way. Some view the competition as a good thing but those who decide to stay are putting their reputations on the line. For the record, Heenan says he’s pulling all the Family out of the LWF -- including Andre the Giant.
What’s going onThis season, Ring of Victory was cancelled. Chairman Filsinger decided to mix the LOTF and LOW rosters on even ground. This ticked off the Legends because they felt they now were having to compete against guys who hadn’t paid their dues to get to their level. So the Legends walked out and are currently on strike. What this meansThis season, the LWF will not feature any LOW talent that has higher than a 20 Rahl rating. There will be some renegades who decide to wrestle no matter what. So there are a few surprises lined up for the roster. But for the most part, it’s going to be LOTF, some Memphis guys and the undercard of LOW. This could be the shot of a lifetime for some guys. Likely a lot of these cards won’t set foot in the ring otherwise. What's Next?- The Women's division will be suspended this season. It's too decimated without the LOW women. No telling if the LWF will allow Sherri Martel to retain her title after a walkout.
- A revised roster will be released with the new talent that will be featured this season in the LWF.

LWF210 - 2010.02- Tag-Team Qualifier
The Love Brothers (w/Jimmy Hart) squashed The Naptown Dragons Hartford and Reginald Love squash The Naptown Dragons. The Love Brothers beat Scotty Vortex and Dustin Lee all around the ring until finally pinning Lee to the mat after doubleteaming him in the corner. Better luck next time, Naptowns. (12:00) C+
- After the match, The Love Brothers and Jimmy Hart continue the punishment on the Naptown Dragons with Hart taunting and kicking Vortex. J.D. Maverick runs into the ring to make the save.
- Singles Qualifier
Bob Armstrong squashed Justin Credible Wow. Another squash. Armstrong simply overpowers Credible. Armstrong gets the pin after an Atomic Drop. (3:00) D
- Commissioner Filsinger came out to a chorus of boos. Filsinger said that those legends whose egos were too big for their own good are sitting at home watching the REAL legends make history. He said that he promised that he would shake things up this season and that he always keeps his promises (wink, wink). He mentioned the new ranking system: qualifying matches for competitors who are trying to earn a spot in the LWF, challenge matches for singles competitors who want to try to get a chance to compete for the title and then a contenders bracket where competitors win titles and make it all happen.
Filsinger also points out that the World Title is vacant right now because Rikidozan fled back to Japan. He insinuated Riki was cowardly and didn't want to lose his title to an up-and-coming contender. So Filsinger says there's two Championship brackets for the world title right now. And the top competitor in those brackets will meet to determine the LWF World Heavyweight Champion. He also noted that the Destroyer taking a hike freed Filsinger up to unify the Legends Heritage and World Title. So now the LWF has the LWF World Heritage Title, uniting the world's most prestigious title with history's oldest and most controversial title.
- Tag Contenders Match
The Backseat Boys (w/Eddie Fyne) dominated Tyree Pride & Koko B. Ware This one went down to the wire, almost ending in a time-limit draw. Trent Acid & Johnny Kashmere did a great job of controlling the ring. Koko Ware was never once tagged in. Acid & Kashmere double-teamed Pride, who put up a good fight despite being outgunned. In the end, Kashmere finished Tyree with a spear. (28:00) B
- Contenders Bracket A
Bryan Danielson def. Playboy Buddy Rose (w/Jimmy Hart) Rose starts out on the offensive but gets frustrated with Danielson and throws him out of the ring while Jimmy Hart distracts the ref. Rose goes to whip Danielson into the ringpost but Danielson reverses and Rose hits the ringpost head on. Rose is busted open and Hart complains until the ref stops the match so Rose can get medical attention. After the medics tape Buddy Rose up, he’s helped back into the ring.
The match continues and Danielson gains the advantage. Danielson has Rose covered for a three-count after a suplex arsenal but Jimmy Hart distracts the ref! Rose makes one last attempt at taking control of the match and is met with a boot to the head after sending Danielson into the ropes. 1... 2... 3! Danielson wins! (16:00) B
- Contenders Bracket B
Adrian Street (w/Miss Linda) squashed Fritz Von Goering This is an odd pairing. The crowd is completely unsure who to root for here. Von Goering comes out with a lot of bluster and throws Street down with a hair pull. This angers Street who then makes short work of Von Goering. Adrian Street finishes the German with a Crucifix. (5:00) C-
- Contenders Bracket A
Les Thatcher def. The French Angel After mopping the floor with Von Goering, Adrian Street heads over to join the announcers. He makes several derogatory remarks about Les Thatcher’s skill as a wrestler. Thatcher exchanges words with him from the ring.
Things get pretty heated in this match. The French Angel takes the match ringside more than once and both men nearly get DQ’d for a ringside brawl. Thatcher gets a decisive advantage with a flying headscissors. He follows that up with a Stump Puller in center ring. The French Angel is forced to submit. (15:00) B-
- Contenders Bracket B
Nigel McGuinness def. Sabu Surprisingly, Nigel McGuinness agrees prior to the match to make this a No DQ, No Time Limit match. Most likely to insure that Sabu’s manager, Sir Oliver Humperdink, is not at ringside to cost him the match.
These two have an interesting match, if a bit formulaic. There’s a bit of brawling outside the ring at the start of the match but no blood. Sabu gets in some offense but never finds a rhythm, while Nigel works consistently towards weakening Sabu up for his finishers. Nigel locks in the London Dungeon and Sabu is forced to tap! (11:00) C
- Overall: C+
Interviews- Jimmy Hart says that Buddy Rose and the Love Brothers are the only “family” in the LWF. He says that the First Family has come to the LWF to take the title gold and tells Rose to shake off his loss against Bryan Danielson because next week it’s a whole new ballgame. “Shake it off! Shake it off, baby!”
- Asked why he chose to ignore the Legends Walkout, Adrian Street replied that this was his best chance for the world to see him in all his terrifying beauty. He reminded the interviewer that a title is a title and that, if he can get the LWF World Title around his waist, he’ll go down in the history books like Jimmy Snuka, Lou Thesz and Rikidozan -- no matter the circumstances.
- Bob Armstrong is interviewed briefly and says he’s come to the LWF for respect. He says what we saw today with Justin Credible was just the start. He says he’s going up the rankings “with a bullet”!
Notes- Not as bad as it could have been, given the limitations on talent. I like that I'm limiting myself to LotF guys, lower-tier Legends and also the mavericks of the Legends roster. I'm getting to see a lot of guys and pairings I wouldn't have used otherwise.
- I felt bad for the team of Pride & Ware because Tyree put up such an effort. It’s now likely they’ll be fighting for their lives in the Tag-Team bracket. Tyree Pride is a bootleg I made. A little lower in effectiveness than Ware. He was featured in Championship Wrestling in Florida in the '80s. They billed him as the Haitian Sensation.
- Man, I haven’t had a good match with Sabu in ages. Last one was probably Sabu vs. Delirious at least a year ago. And even that was only “meh”. Wassup Sabu? Do I need to bring your uncle in?
- I’m liking the new scheduling system. Fewer specialty matches. But that suits me fine. I’ll have them, sure. The schedule doesn’t prevent that. But I’ll have a good deal fewer. That’s for sure.
- As far as details, I can supply them if anyone's interested. One of the things I've been working during my "hiatus" was a way to have a "self-perpetuating" schedule. It took some effort and some experimentation with Ring of Victory and afterwards. But I think I'm close.
- I also worked on a way to "speed-up" the matches without losing any of the drama. That took a long time to figure out. But I think I nailed that as well. As an example, I was able to finish all seven matches here in around an hour and a half. Previously, a single match could take anywhere from 15-45 minutes of real time. Now I'm blazing through matches in 10 minutes or less. And it's LOW. 100% LOW. Well, with a couple of twists. But I feel the matches carry a bit more drama now, especially towards the end-game.
Coming Soon- Arik Cannon & Amish Roadkill’s tag-team debut!
- A surprise all-time great comes back to the LWF
- Bryan Danielson faces The French Angel
- Adrian Street faces Nigel McGuiness!!!

LWF211 - 2010.03- Tag-Team Qualifier
The Naptown Dragons def. Arik Cannon & Amish Roadkill The Naptown Dragons come out with something to prove. They lay into Cannon. Cannon ducks out of the ring at one point and Dustin Lee busts him open on the ringpost. Cannon continues to take a beating in the ring until he dodges a double-team manuever by the Dragons! Cannon makes the tag to Amish Roadkill.
Roadkill overpowers Dustin Lee until he can make the tag to Scotty Vortex. Vortex hits the Cyclone Kick and gets the three count. (20:00) B
- Contenders Bracket B
Fritz Von Goering def. Sabu (w/Sir Oliver Humperdink) by DQ Both competitors need a win here after losses last event. They start out well enough with some technical wrestling but then Von Goering takes it outside the ring. The referee repeatedly attempts to get both men back into the ring. Sabu busts Von Goering open on the ringsteps. The ref disqualifies Sabu! (6:00) D
- Contenders Bracket A
Les Thatcher def. Playboy Buddy Rose (w/Jimmy Hart) by DQ Thatcher is riding high after his victory against the French Angel, while Buddy Rose and Jimmy Hart’s First Family desperately need a win here. Thatcher and Rose have a good opening with both men trading advantage. Thatcher gets Rose in trouble, though, after a series of dropkicks and goes for the pin. Jimmy Hart jumps up on the apron and grabs Thatcher, however, drawing the DQ for outside interference. (10:00) C-
- Tag Contenders Match
Sandman & Necro Butcher (w/Sir Oliver Humperdink) vs. Boris Zhukov & The Terrible Turk - Double DQ! Man. Can’t finish a match for anything today. Sandman & Necro Butcher are actually a pretty sweet tag-team. Things break down, though, when The Terrible Turk and Sandman start brawling outside the ring. Sandman is busted open and the teams brawl all over the arena. This guarantees The Backseat Boys a shot at the tag-titles. C-
- Singles Qualifier
Steve Corino (w/Johnny Fairplay) vs. Strangler Lewis - Time Limit Draw Corino comes out with the Legends Inter-Continental Title he won in Ring of Victory. He is accompanied by his manager, Johnny Fairplay. When Strangler Lewis is announced, the crowd is a mix of cheers and boos. Lewis looks like he means business in this qualifying match.
Corino stands toe-to-toe with Lewis in an impressive technical match. These two take it down to the wire. Lewis goes for the pin at the 30-minute mark with a bear hug and leg trip. But Corino kicks out at two! (30:00) B+
- Contenders Bracket A
Bryan Danielson def. The French Angel The Angel desperately needed a win and it showed. He came out and pummeled Danielson for the first half of the match. But then Danielson rallied and locked in the Cattle Mutilation in center ring. (19:00) B
- Contenders Bracket B
Adrian Street (w/Miss Linda) def. Nigel McGuinness Adrian Street is looking like the man to beat this season. This was a fast match with non-stop action. Street hits McGuinness with a knee lift and covers. 1... 2... 3! Another dominant performance by Street who earned a shot at the World Title with this win. (9:00) C
- Overall: C+
Interviews- Eddie Fyne and the Backseat Boys congratulate themselves and thank the Sandman, Necro Butcher, Boris Zhukov and especially the Terrible Turk for giving them a shot at the LWF World Tag-Team Titles. Fyne says the Backseat Boys are the team to beat in the LWF.
- Les Thatcher says that he’ll meet his greatest challenge on the road to the world title next week against Bryan Danielson.
- Steve Corino and Johnny Fairplay preen for the cameras while Corino claims his time limit draw against Strangler Lewis was the greatest match in the history of the LWF. He compared it to Rocky Balboa and Apollo Creed in the first Rocky movie and reminded Lewis how that worked out for Creed in the second flick.
Notes- Lots of DQs this time out. Lots of blood in the early matches too.
- Sandman & Necro Butcher were surprisingly effective together.
Coming Soon- Bryan Danielson meets Les Thatcher for a shot at the LWF World Title
- Steve Corino and Strangler Lewis in a rematch with No Time Limit!
- Sandman & Necro Butcher in a grudge match against Boris Zhukov and the Terrible Turk!

LWF212 - 2010.04- Contenders Bracket B
Nigel McGuinness def. Fritz Von Goering One Fall, 30-Minute Time Limit
# - McGuinness is still in the race for a shot at the LWF World Title. Von Goering is fighting for his spot on the roster.
Nigel starts off strong until Von Goering takes it outside the ring. Von Goering brawls outside the ring and then Nigel hulks up and busts Von Goering open on the guardrail. The match then goes back-and-forth with neither man taking a decisive advantage. A series of near falls ensues. Nigel hits a short-arm lariat... the London Dungeon.... Von Goering taps! (25:00) B+
- Tag-Team Qualifier
The Love Brothers (w/Jimmy Hart) vs. Arik Cannon & Amish Roadkill - Time Limit Draw One Fall, 30-Minute Time Limit
# - The Love Brothers have a chance to clinch a spot to contend for the Tag Titles, while Roadkill & Cannon are likely to be eliminated from the roster with a loss.
The Love Brothers dominated the match but Cannon & Roadkill would not give up. They just kept kicking out of pin after pin. Cannon & Roadkill take it all the way to the wire. (30:00) A-
- Contenders Bracket A
Playboy Buddy Rose (w/Jimmy Hart) def. The French Angel by DQ One Fall, 20-Minute Time Limit
# - A loss for either man will put their spot on the roster in jeopardy. This was a crazy match that almost ended in a DQ. Both men were firing away at each other, neither really taking control of the match.
The French Angel busted open Buddy Rose by biting him on the forehead, which set off a street brawl outside the ring that left both men bloodied to all hell. The ref almost called a DQ on Rose but Jimmy Hart pled his case and, so, Rose was awarded the win by DQ. Rose and Hart fled the building as The French Angel went on a rampage and destroyed the announcer’s desk! (9:00) C+
- Tag Contenders Match
Boris Zhukov & The Terrible Turk def. Sandman & Necro Butcher in a Grudge Rematch One Fall, 30-Minute Time Limit; Stopped only by injury or count-out; No DQ for rough tactics or brawling outside the ring
# - The winner here retains their spot and will earn a chance to move up to contention for the tag titles after the pay-per-view. Sir Oliver Humperdink comes to the ring with Sandman & Butcher but the referee sends him back to the locker room.
It doesn’t take long for this match to get out of control. Zhukov busts Necro Butcher open after Butcher ducks out of the ring for a breather.
The brawl heads back into the ring. Zhukov covers Necro Butcher and Sandman attempts a Pin Save. The ref is too slow and gets hit by Sandman’s Singapore Cane! The ref is out! The Terrible Turk charges into the ring!
Both teams have a wild brawl. When the new ref makes it out to the ring, Sandman has taken over in the ring because Necro appears to be seriously hurt. Zhukov rallies and plants Sandman with multiple headbutts. Sandman is dazed and cannot break the pin. After the match, Zhukov & Turk continue to punish Sandman & Butcher. Both Sandman & Butcher are a bloody mess. Then Sabu and Humperdink run out to the ring with Singapore Canes. Zhukov & Turk retreat back to the locker room. Sandman & Necro Butcher do not appear to be doing well. (13:00) B
- Singles Qualifier
Strangler Lewis def. Steve Corino No DQ, No Time Limit
# - The winner goes on to face Bob Armstrong for a shot at the Challenger’s bracket. The loser goes home.
Corino comes to the ring with the retired LWF Inter-Continental Title around his waist, accompanied by his manager Jonny Fairplay. The ref is explaining to Fairplay why he needs to leave the ringside area, when Strangler Lewis comes up and slaps Corino in the face! It’s on! What follows is a complete schooling. Lewis dominates Corino, kicks him all over the ring, prevents him from ducking out and locks in the Strangler Headlock for the win. Corino never stood a chance. (9:00) C-
- Contenders Bracket B
Sabu (w/Sir Oliver Humperdink) def. Adrian Street (w/Miss Linda) One Fall, 30-minute Time Limit
# - If Street wins, he’s got a clear shot at the LWF World Title. If Sabu loses, he is likely to be dropped from the roster!
This starts out as a good technical match. But then Sabu drags Street out of the ring and starts pummeling him. Humperdink distracts the ref to avoid the DQ! Street rolls back into the ring and Sabu hits him with a deathjump! Cover! Miss Linda jumps into the ring! Street reverses the pin! 1... 2... Sabu kicks out! Great match thus far.
Sabu controlling the match. This is the best Sabu has performed in ages. He locks in the Camel Clutch center ring. Miss Linda distracts the ref again! Sabu releases the hold to chase her off the ring apron. Sabu continues to control the match. He hits the Air Sabu. Cover! 1... 2... 3! A desperation win for Sabu to stay alive in the LWF! (17:00) A-
- Contenders Bracket A
Bryan Danielson def. Les Thatcher No Time Limit, Two-Out-of-Three Falls # - The winner here gets a shot at the LWF World Title!
Danielson comes out strong and almost wins the first fall with a Triangle Choke but Thatcher gets to the ropes. The first fall goes well into the 15-minute mark. Thatcher gets a near pin after a flying headscissors. Thatcher controls the match. Then Danielson wraps him up out of the turnbuckle. 1... 2... 3! Danielson takes the first fall at 18:00!
Thatcher controls the early portion of the second fall. Once again, it’s a reversal out of the turnbuckle that turns the tide for Danielson. Danielson hits a Yakuza Kick. Cover! 1... 2... 3! Danielson takes the second fall at 27:00! Danielson wins in two straight falls. (27:00) B-
- Overall: B
Interviews- Arik Cannon - “I think tonight Roadkill and me turned a real corner. We stood toe-to-toe with a really good team and kept ourselves from being eliminated. That’s all that matters now. We go out there and we stay alive.”
- Oliver Humperdink - “Fate ebbs and flows. Tonight it ebbed for Sandman & the Necro Butcher. But it flowed for Sabu. Sabu showed everyone why he deserves to be at the top of the LWF. And everyone should take note. This is nothing short of a new dynasty in the LWF. The House of Humperdink! It starts right here!”
- Bryan Danielson - “It was a tougher match than it might have seemed on paper. Thatcher is a true competitor and someone who cannot be taken for granted. But right now, I’ve got my eyes set on the World Title.”
Notes- Despite Nigel McGuinness’s win and Adrian Street’s loss, Adrian Street will go into the title match because Street defeated Nigel cleanly at LWF211.
- With a total of three losses and no wins, The French Angel will be eliminated from the roster barring a win in the upcoming Ladder Match.
- Despite a loss to the Love Brothers, the Naptown Dragons have secured the spot in the Contender’s Bracket for the Tag Titles. This is due to the Time Limit Draw the Love Brothers had with Arik Cannon & Amish Roadkill. These two teams will meet at the next event to determine who will stay and who will go.
- Boris Zhukov & The Terrible Turk’s clean win over Sandman & Necro Butcher secured them a roster spot. Sandman & Necro Butcher must now face the team of Tyree Pride & Koko B. Ware to determine which team will be removed from the roster. Could be a tough match for Tyree & Koko.
- This was the best event this season. After the next event, either Bryan Danielson or Adrian Street will be the LWF World champion. Don’t wanna miss it!
Coming Soon- The Heartbreak Express defend the LWF World Tag Titles against the Backseat Boys.
- Bryan Danielson and Adrian Street square off in a match to determine the LWF World Champion.
- The French Angel, Fritz Von Goering, Playboy Buddy Rose, Justin Credible, Steve Corino and Sabu face-off in a Ladder Match with the winner earning the #4 spot in the Contender’s Bracket. This is a great opportunity for one of these guys. Three of whom will be going home if they don’t make it to the top of that ladder.
- An empty spot on the roster will be filled by another Legend crossing the picket lines!
- The 2010 World Tag Grand Prix is only two weeks away!

The Dirt Sheet - December 2010This month's latest news from around the globe. What This IsThis is a short newsletter to give fans an idea of what's happening in the regional promotions of the LWF. There are a number of regional promotions affiliated with the LWF. They are... - Legends Europe
- Sunshine State Legends (Florida, Georgia and Alabama)
- Mid-Atlantic Legends (The Carolinas and Virginia)
- Capitol Legends (New York, D.C. and the East Coast)
- Legends of Wrestling (Ontario, Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio)
- Legends America (St. Louis, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana)
- Legends Southwest (Texas, Oklahoma)
- L.A. Legends (California, Arizona)
- Maple-Leaf Legends (Western Canada and Pacific Northwest)
- Legends South (Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi, Arkansas)
- Legends Japan
Each of these regions has their own title and tag-title. I'll be posting brief snippets of what's happening and to help build a history for these wrestlers in the fed. Title Changes- Following the Legends walk-out, there has been a shortage of talent on the LWF rosters. A number of titles were vacated or are still in dispute with the current title holder.
- CM Punk won a tournament to become the LWF European champion. He is having a successful run in the old country as a "better-than-thou" heel. (Legends Europe)
- "Precious" Paul Ellering defeated Giant Haystacks to become the new LWF Mid-Atlantic champion. (Mid-Atlantic Legends)
- Bobby Fulton won a battle royal to become the LWF Texas champion. (Legends Southwest)
- The Osirian Portal won a prestigious tag tournament in Legends Europe, defeating fellow finalists Paul London & Brian Kendrick who continue their streak of bad luck in the LWF. (Legends Europe)
Notable Feuds- Jimmy Golden and The French Angel had a notable feud ending in a Texas Bullrope match. Golden was victorious after this bloody feud blowoff. (Legends Southwest)
Events of Note- The team of Chris Hero & Sabu lost a "loser leaves town" match to LWF Texas Tag champions Dewey Robertson & Yukon Eric in Legends Southwest. (Legends Southwest)
- The teams of Sandman & Justin Credible and Dewey Robertson & Ray Stevens battled each other to a double DQ in the Legends Europe tag tournament. (Legends Europe)
- Representatives for the Legends who are in walk-out status are in arbitration with officials from the LWF. The LWF's season is currently exceeding expectations. But the walk-out has seriously impacted the LWF affiliated regional promotions, as well as the talent remaining with the LWF -- who are being asked to perform in multiple regions until the walk-out is over.
This Month's Region of NoteLegends Southwest: This Texas promotion has really heated up since the walkout. Successfully rallying around former LWF World Tag Champion Bobby Fulton and pushing feuds between lesser known stars in the LWF. Hats off to Texas. More News About the Walk-Out- Reportedly, the LWF is doing well this season. Not as good as they were a couple of years ago during Jimmy Snuka's championship reign. But not as badly as they anticipated following that disastrous Season Premiere.
- The Legends apparently became concerned during the Ring of Victory off-season when Legends like King Kong Bundy and Larry Zybysko were put up against the unproven roster in ROV. Tensions sky-rocketed when it became clear that Chairman Filsinger wanted to combine the rosters after ROV was cancelled.
- Currently, the Legends want to be guaranteed more pay and don't want to face the same hurdles as the new wrestlers from ROV. Filsinger and the LWF want to pay on a performance scale and want to be able to address the roster issues on a case-by-case basis. Not giving someone like Greg Valentine the same privileges as someone like, say, Frank Gotch or Harley Race.
- As the strike goes on and it becomes more apparent that the LWF will weather the storm, more Legends have quietly been discussing crossing the picket line. It is open season on the World Title right now. And a lot of overlooked talent is seeing an opportunity while the big names are at odds with Filsinger.

LWF213 - 2010.05- Bob Armstrong: “Truth is this going to be a heckuva match. Strangler Lewis, when he’s got himself together, is one of the toughest men to ever step into the ring. And I’ve gotta be prepared for whoever shows up. There are no second chances tonight. Just two men. Two competitors. And one of ‘em stays and the other goes home.”
- Tag Contenders Bracket
Sandman & Necro Butcher (w/Sir Oliver Humperdink) def. Tyree Pride & Koko B. Ware One Fall, 30 Minute Time Limit, Loser is dropped from roster Tyree Pride comes out strong, forcing Sandman to duck out of the ring and then ambush him as he pursues. Humperdink distracts the ref while Sandman whips Pride into the ringsteps. Back in the ring, Pride gets away from Sandman to make the tag! Koko comes in but doesn’t carry the momentum for long. Sandman takes the fight outside the ring where he and Necro Butcher double-team Ware. Ware is hurt. Sandman tags in Necro Butcher. Butcher locks Ware in the Asiatic Spike Submission. Ware taps! (9:00) B-
- Chairman Filsinger comes out and announces that yet another Legend has signed on to the LWF roster. And that Legend will be coming out and addressing the crowd prior to the World Tag Title main event tonight!
- Qualifying Match
Strangler Lewis def. Bob Armstrong One Fall, 30-Minute Time Limit. Winner moves up to Challenger bracket. Loser goes home. Armstrong offers Lewis his hand. Lewis slaps Armstrong and locks in an armbar! It’s on! Armstrong gets some offense in early. But Lewis wears him down. Armstrong won’t quit though, kicking out of pin after pin and narrowly escaping Lewis’ headlock. A frustrated Lewis busts Armstrong open by slamming his head into the turnbuckle. Lewis locks in the Strangler’s Headlock after wearing Armstrong down. Armstrong loses consciousness. (18:00) B+
- Jonny Fairplay: “You know what? The Heartbreak Express are excited about this opportunity to FINALLY get the respect they deserve. The main event, no less! Phil & Sean have held title gold in the LWF since 2008! They’ve traveled all over the world. They’ve beat the Valiants, the Fantastics and... now... what? The Backseat Boys? You can’t be serious!”
- Ladder Match

Notes- The LWF delivers on their first big show of the season. The main event could have been better. The Heartbreak Express didn't look nearly as polished as The Love Brothers and Roadkill & Cannon. But the Backseat Boys weren't so hot either. Given the roster depletion, I'd say this was about as good as we could hope.
- Says a lot that this season's first Match of the Year candidate was a mid-card match between The Love Brothers and Arik Cannon & Amish Roadkill. On one hand, it was a fantastic match. On the other, I'm not sure those teams would've gotten a chance to compete at this level without the Legends walkout.
- Adrian Street joins the ranks of Nick Bockwinkle, Superstar Graham, Lou Thesz, Rikidozan and Jimmy Snuka as the LWF World Titleholder. Didn't see that coming.
- I'm so tired of Steve Corino. He just won't go away. I guess that makes him the best heel on the roster...
