LOW Global Wrestling Association - Atlas Arena - Lodz, Poland (Card #822)
1) Super Crazy & Halcon Oro defeated Matt Striker & Mr. X: The first ever pairing of lucha libre stars Super Crazy & Halcon Oro proved to be a great success as they handily defeated the ASW team of Matt Striker & Mr. X. It was Crazy dominating Striker before laying him out with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. That set up Oro hitting the Ave de Rapina, a top rope huracanrana into a roll-up, on Striker to score the pin as Crazy prevented Mr. X from making the save.
2) Dan Spivey defeated 2 Cold Scorpio: It was seemingly only a matter of time before “Dangerous” Dan Spivey got things going and he showed why here as he defeated 2 Cold Scorpio handing the native of Celebration, FL, his first one-on-one loss in the GWA. The 6’7” and 310-pound Spivey, hailing out of Tampa, FL, was on top of Scorpio from the start putting him on the defensive. Spivey struck with a big clothesline for a two count and then connected with a sidewalk slam. Scorpio fought back and hit a piledriver but was then nailed with a forearm to the back of the head as he attempted a backdrop. Spivey then nailed Scorpio with a devastating Power Bomb to score the pin.
3) New Age Outlaws vs. Finlay & David Taylor was a Draw: This was tag team action at its finest as the New Age Outlaws (B.G. James & Kip James” took on the “Belfast Bruiser” Finlay & “Squire” David Taylor. Both teams are looking for a shot at the LOW World tag team titles and their respective performances in this match will put them on the radar of the championship committee. The bout was filled with dramatic near falls, pin saves and failed pin saves resulting in dramatic kick outs. B.G. James showed great resilience surviving the spear in the corner by Finlay and a floatover fallaway slam by Taylor. After he and Kip combined on a spike piledriver it was B.G. hitting the Pump Handle Slam on Taylor for a big near fall. Finlay, perhaps out of frustration, used the Shillelagh on Kip late in the bout but somehow he kicked out just before the three count. The crowd was on fire going into the home stretch as both teams looked to put this one away. The end result was a time limit draw but both teams received a great ovation from the crowd for their efforts in a grueling contest.
4) Ted Dibiase defeated Steve Williams: In a match that could be a main event in any arena it was Steve “Dr. Death” Williams taking on the “Million $ Man” Ted Dibiase. It was also a battle of former tag team partners and co-members of the Axis of Violence. In addition, the two are former two-time LOW World tag team champions having won those belts during a torrid feud with the Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk). They had an amicable parting of the ways but the crowd was still shocked when the two shook hands to start the match. Noticeably absent from ringside were Kurrgan, the seven-foot bodyguard of Dibiase, as he was preparing for his match against Andre the Giant while Williams’ tag team partner, Terry “Bamm Bamm” Gordy, had the night off. Dibiase opened up strong including trapping Williams in the figure four leglock. Williams countered out and struck back with the press slam and lariat. He had Dibiase in trouble until the “Million $ Man” caught him in the Million Dollar Sleeper. Williams was able to escape but then fell victim to a top rope flying bodypress and a backward elbow off the ropes for consecutive near falls. Dibiase survived another offensive by Williams and after an elbow to the head from the second rope (deathjump) he again locked on the Million Dollar Sleeper and put Williams out to score a submission victory.
5) LOW Junior Heavyweight title: Paul London defeated Bryan Danielson to win the title: History was made in Poland as Paul London defeated Bryan Danielson to win the LOW Junior Heavyweight title. It was over four years ago that London also won the title from Danielson beating him in Denver, CO (Card #361) so the Austin, TX, native seems to have the number of the “American Dragon” in championship matches. It was a spectacular match from start to finish featuring some nice reversals and high flying action. Danielson also punished London with the German Suplex, back superplex, and roundhouse kicks. He went for the pin after the kicks but London kicked out with authority. It was after a double clothesline off the ropes that this one was decided. London recovered first and climbed up to the top rope connecting with the 450 Splash on Danielson to score a snake eyes pin. The crowd erupted in cheers as London was crowned a two–time LOW Junior Heavyweight champion ending Danielson’s reign in what was his attempted version two defense of the belt. Danielson showed class post-match by shaking hands with London and presenting him with the title belt. He then, however, grabbed the mic and informed him that he was invoking his rematch clause in his home base of Pacific Coast Wrestling so it will be London vs. Danielson in a rematch for the title in Phoenix, AZ (Card #826).
6) Jim Londos, Nick Bockwinkel, & Danny Hodge defeated The Mountie, Val Venis, & J.D. Michaels: An all-star six-man tag team trio of Jim Londos, Nick Bockwinkel, & Danny Hodge took on The Mountie, Val Venis, & J.D. Michaels. Bockwinkel recently joined the GWA after a memorable bout with Hodge at WrestleCade VIII. He lost that bout and is looking for a rematch with Hodge but here the two were part of the same team along with Londos. They worked well together and had The Mountie-led team on the defensive most of the way in this match. Michaels, a former LOW Junior Heavyweight champion, looked good during his time in and scored a two count on Londos with a flying elbow smash. The Mountie also picked up a near fall when he caught Bockwinkel with the Short Choke Slam. It was Hodge that led his team to victory when he battled back against The Mountie countering a backdrop and then trapping him in the Oklahoma Side Roll to score the pin. The crowd cheered the victory by Hodge, Londos, and Bockwinkel who exchanged hand shakes with each other while Venis and Michaels argued with The Mountie over the loss.
7) LOW Tex-Arkana Television title – No DQ Match: Curt Hennig© defeated Brent Albright to retain the title: This special No DQ Match for the LOW Tex-Arkana Television title was ordered after defending champion Curt Hennig twice retained the title via disqualification losses to “The Shooter” Brent Albright. It was a determined Albright in control early as he nailed Hennig with a half nelson suplex and locked him in the Sharpshooter. Hennig bounced back and executed the Hennig Plex but Albright kicked out just before the three count. Hennig looked on in disbelief as the referee explained that Albright had indeed kicked out. Hennig regrouped and caught Albright with The Axe before locking on the sleeper hold going for a submission. Albright managed to get to the ropes for a break but was in a bad way by that point. After being tossed out of the ring by Hennig, Albright attempted to get back in but the champion brought him in the hard way. Hennig then executed the Rolling Neck Snap and caught Albright with a jackknife cradle hold to score the pin. Hennig retained the title in his version eight defense of the belt in surviving a strong third challenge from Albright.
8) Andre the Giant defeated Kurrgan: The main event was a true “Battle of the Giants” as the undefeated “Eighth Wonder of the World” Andre the Giant took on Kurrgan, the seven-foot bodyguard of the “Million $ Man” Ted Dibiase hailing out of South Africa. Dibiase was in the corner for Kurrgan giving Andre something to think about as he prepared for battle. These two giants have only met one other time in singles competition (Card #514 in Glasgow, Scotland) and it was Andre getting the victory that night. Andre dominated the early action with the turnbuckle squash and a powerful bearhug. The two men traded headbutts before Kurrgan took control on the outside. The South African giant then stunned Andre with a big boot to the face and looked poised to deliver more damage. Andre, however, turned things back around and caught Kurrgan off guard with a dropkick followed up by a big Bodyslam and press to score the pin. It was another victory for the giant out of Grenoble in the French Alps and Dibiase looked none too happy as his hired bodyguard failed to break the vaunted undefeated streak.

Knowing it would've been cool to see Albright win over Hennig, but Hennig keeping the gold is good stuff. I really liked that Paul London defeated Bryan Danielson for the Jr. Title, that's pretty cool seeing that happen...

Happy Holidays to all of my fellow promoters, here is the next card with some history being made...
LOW Northern Wrestling Corporation - Capitol Centre - Landover, MD (Card #823)
1) Savage-T defeated Ilio DiPaolo: A huge night of wrestling action opened with an upset as Savage-T of ASW, accompanied by his valet KJ Hill, defeated the popular Ilio DiPaolo. It was not without some controversy, however, as an appearance by George “The Animal” Steele distracted DiPaolo. That allowed Savage-T to nail DiPaolo with a Superkick and cover him for the pin. Hill was ecstatic over her man winning but quickly ran off with Savage-T as a berserk Steele tore up the ringside area. DiPaolo recovered and went after the “Animal” but LOW officials got in between them. The “King of Men” Fred Blassie then showed up at ringside to calm Steele down leading to…
2) George Steele defeated Chief Omega: Veteran ASW star Chief Omega had the unenviable task of taking on George “The Animal” Steele who had Fred Blassie in his corner. Steele went at Omega with a reckless abandon battering him in and out of the ring. Omega made a brief comeback with the cosmic war dance before Steele reversed the momentum. He wound up trapping Omega in the Flying Hammerlock resulting in a submission victory. Blassie grabbed the mic post-match and said that he was the new manager of Steele and that he has brought him to the NWC to unleash a path of destruction. As Steele bit open a turnbuckle and removed the stuffing, Blassie said that the “meatball” DiPaolo learned the hard way about what an “animal unleashed” can do and said the rest of the NWC will find out as well.
3) Samoan Island Tribe defeated The Sheepherders: The intense tag team rivalry between the Samoan Island Tribe (Alofa & Samu) and The Sheepherders (Butch Miller & Luke Williams) resulted in a quick and brutal battle. The SIT were firing on all cylinders as they battered Miller and eventually blasted him with the Double Team Headbutt resulting in Samu covering him for the snake eyes pin. Afa, Jr. joined the SIT post-match and went at it against The Sheepherders in a three-on-two situation until the bloodthirsty New Zealander’s bailed out of the ring. An angry Miller then grabbed the mic and said that the SIT had done it now and that they will be bringing in an associate to even things up and take them down. Alofa, Samu and Afa, Jr. looked on with some surprise wondering what Miller was talking about but it looks like a six-man tag team matchup is in the offing for both sides in this ongoing rivalry.
4) 12-Man Battle Royal for $12,000: Antonino Rocca eliminated Greg Valentine to win: A special 12-Man Battle Royal saw each participant put up $500 in cash which was matched by the NWC making it a $12,000 prize. The action was all over the place in this one and came with some surprising moments. One in particular saw the Iron Sheik accidentally eliminate his tag team partner Nikolai Volkoff while trying to save him from elimination. The Iron Sheik was then unceremoniously dumped over the top rope by another ring villain in Killer Kowalski. A similar situation occurred when Greg Valentine tried to save The Warlord from elimination but eliminated him instead as Antonino Rocca ducked out of the way. Captain Lou Albano was upset at ringside as he was hoping that Valentine, The Warlord, and Kowalski would bring the money home. Instead it was the popular Italian star Rocca who won the cash by eliminating Kowalski, Cowboy Bob Orton, and Valentine in succession. Albano frantically paced up and down the ring steps as the final two battled it out and it was Rocca lifting Valentine into the Argentinian Backbreaker and dumping him over the top rope for the win. Rocca taunted Albano with the check post-match and invited everyone to join him at a local Italian restaurant for a victory celebration getting a big pop from the crowd.
Order of Elimination:
● Arik Cannon (by Diamond Dallas Page) ● Nikolai Volkoff (by Iron Sheik) ● Iron Sheik (by Killer Kowalski) ● Dick Hutton (by The Warlord) ● The Warlord (by Greg Valentine) ● Jerry Lynn (by Greg Valentine) ● Drake Younger (by Cowboy Bob Orton) ● Diamond Dallas Page (by Killer Kowalski) ● Killer Kowalski (by Antonino Rocca) ● Cowboy Bob Orton (by Antonino Rocca) ● Greg Valentine (by Antonino Rocca) W) Antonino Rocca
5) Tony Atlas defeated One Man Gang: The popular “Mr. USA” Tony Atlas, one of the strongest men in LOW, had a tall order here as he took on the 495-pound One Man Gang. Captain Lou Albano was back out at ringside for OMG hoping to see some success following the failure by three of his men to win the Battle Royal. OMG dominated this one early executing the scoop bodyslam and running corner splash. He also decked Atlas with the big right hand covering him for a near fall. Things turned around for Atlas when he caught OMG with a counter running lariat out of the corner. A jumping headbutt scored a two count for Atlas as Albano paced back and forth at ringside. Atlas had OMG on the defensive and scored another two count after executing an impressive vertical suplex. Albano interfered to prevent a third cover as OMG began battling back. Atlas took some punishment before surprising OMG with a jumping headbutt off of the second rope. With the crowd buzzing it was Atlas hoisting OMG up for the Press Slam and Splash to score the pin as Albano spun around uttering gibberish at ringside. The crowd erupted in cheers as “Mr. USA” scored his biggest victory to date in the NWC.
6) Mil Mascaras defeated Gorgeous George: A special attraction match saw freelance star Mil Mascaras, a record seven-time LOW World Heavyweight champion, take on the flamboyant Gorgeous George who was accompanied by his valet Cherie Dupre. George recently lost the LOW Junior Heavyweight title and was in a sour mood going into this high profile match. He had control early using the Gorgeous Grip and a face rake with the Georgie pins. Mascaras looked for an opening and got out when George missed with a dropkick. He then used both the bow and arrow hold and octopus hold on George for submission chances. Dupre looked on concerned as Mascaras seemed to be dominating by this point. He stunned George with a slingshot plancha and again went to the bow and arrow hold but Dupre distracted the referee. That assist allowed George a chance to escape and he took over running Mascaras into the ring post as they battled on the floor. Dupre distracted the referee there as well and George took it back inside using the figure four leglock to punish Mascaras. The masked man battled back, however, and after a double clothesline off the ropes it was Mascaras coming off of the top rope with his trademark Flying Bodypress to score the pin.
7) LOW World tag team titles: Sabu & Rob Van Dam© defeated Valiant Brothers to win the titles: History was made in Landover as Sabu & Rob Van Dam, led by manager Bill Alfonso, became two-time LOW World tag team champions as they won the belts from the Valiant Brothers (Jimmy “Boogie Woogie Man” Valiant & “Luscious” Johnny Valiant) in incredible fashion. Manager Bobby “The Brain” Heenan was at ringside for the defending champions who were set to make their version one title defense since winning the belts from the Fabulous Kangaroos in a No DQ match in Detroit, MI (Card #815). They hardly had the chance to get things together as Sabu and RVD brought forth their unique aerial based offense keeping the Valiant Brothers on the defensive most of the way. RVD hit the Five Star Frog Splash on Jimmy in the early going with Heenan distracting the referee to prevent a pin. Sabu then scored a big near fall on Jimmy by coming off of the top rope with a flying bodypress. Johnny urged Jimmy to get to the corner for a tag but he failed to do that and RVD would then combine with Sabu hitting the spectacular Rolling Thunder on the “Boogie Woogie Man”. As Sabu made the cover to score the pin it was RVD blasting Johnny with a jumping kick to prevent the save. Heenan threw his arms up in disgust and then slammed his hands on the ring apron as the crowd erupted in cheers. Sabu and RVD ended a two-year drought and became two-time LOW World tag team champions much to the delight of Alfonso and a supportive crowd.
8) LOW World Heavyweight title – Texas Death Match: Lou Thesz© defeated The Sheik to retain the title: The controversy surrounding their last meeting at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY (Card #816), where The Sheik won a TKO decision via blood loss but did not win the LOW World Heavyweight title, saw the Syrian madman battle Lou Thesz in a Texas Death Match for the championship. Thesz won the belt from The Sheik at WrestleCade VIII (Card #800 in Atlanta, GA) and the controversial rematch at MSG led to LOW Commissioner Charlie Cox, with urging from The Sheik’s manager Abdullah Farouk, ordering this rematch. A wild card in all of this was Bobo Brazil, a longtime rival of The Sheik, who interjected himself in the match at MSG and was at ringside here taking a seat in the front row. Farouk protested his presence but Brazil showed a ringside ticket to the referee allowing him to stay and watch the match. The crowd was at a fever pitch as Thesz, his head still bandaged from the previous meeting, made his way to the ring. The normally reserved Thesz had fire in his eyes as he stared down The Sheik prior to entering the ring.
Thesz dominated the early action as he tied up The Sheik in the STF, or stepover toehold facelock, for a submission chance and scored near falls with a released power bomb, side salto and a counter sunset flip. Farouk was seen arguing with Brazil as The Sheik looked for a way to get back into it. That opportunity came on the outside when he caught Thesz with a low blow and then used both a chair and a lead pipe on the right arm of the champion. The Sheik then went to the sadistic hammerlock resulting in a number of submission chances. Thesz was in great pain but he fought back valiantly busting The Sheik open after another battle on the floor. He whipped The Sheik hard into the guard rail and the two then fought into the front row of fans right near Brazil. It was a wild scene and Thesz would also be busted open as The Sheik ripped away at the bandages and bit him on the forehead. Both men were fighting exhaustion late into this one before Thesz mounted a big attack culminating in hitting the Greco-Roman Backdrop to score the pin. The crowd along with Brazil erupted in cheers and applause as Thesz retained the title in his version four defense of the championship. The bloody champion raised the title belt up high as the equally bloody Sheik and Farouk looked on with disdain. To add insult to injury the two saw Brazil hop over the guard rail and celebrate with Thesz at ringside along with a jubilant crowd.

That was a fun 823 with Savage-T pulling out the upset on Ilio DiPaolo, plus seeing Antonio Rocca and RVD&Sabu winning their 2nd titles, but it's too bad the Valiants had to lose...

"...as Albano spun around uttering gibberish at ringside..." classic. can totally see it. hell, HAVE seen it. big wins for Sabu and Van Dam crazy upset opener and some sweet revenge for Thesz. gotta say, i probably haven't read ALL of your results but I do have this fed bookmarked and try to keep up. this card for some reason just blew me away unlike any other. All of which are good BTW. But this one, I dunno, to see it in "real life" would have been amazing. you did a nice job of providing the next best thing. also, wrestling in POLAND? does that exist? my parents were from there so that was kinda cool. dad was a total mark who got me to love this nonsense in the first place. ok, i think i've had enough egg nog.

Thanks for the nice comments Pariah, Crimson, and Godzillajoe. It was a surprise to see the Valiants lose the titles so quickly but Sabu & RVD have had great success for me as a team. I always try to capture the zaniness of Captain Lou Albano so I'm glad you enjoyed that GJ. I have seen it as well and it was glorious. I'm not sure if there is wrestling in Poland but they do have the arena so I decided to use it for my GWA fed which holds all of their shows outside of the US. Hope to have the next show posted soon, thanks for following along.

LOW Southern Wrestling Alliance - Louisville Gardens - Louisville, KY (Card #824)
1) Mike Graham defeated Brad Armstrong: A friendly scientific contest opened things up as Mike Graham took on Brad Armstrong. Both men are contenders for the LOW Junior Heavyweight title so they knew going in that a win would steer them towards that opportunity. Armstrong is a former champion (Card# 586-600) while Graham aspires to reach that goal in LOW. It started with a handshake before Armstrong took over with a powerslam and knee drop. He had control until Graham countered a hip toss and executed a rolling cradle for a two count. Armstrong battled back and hit the Russian Legsweep for a big near fall. He then went up top but Graham countered picking him off with a bodyslam before trapping him in the Figure Four Leglock resulting in a submission victory.
2) Ox Baker & Genghis Khan defeated S.D. Jones & Phil Davis: The makeshift ASW tag team of S.D. Jones & Phil Davis took on House of Humperdink members Ox Baker & Genghis Khan in a grudge match. Davis has been after Baker due to the “Master of the Heart Punch” putting his Heartbreak Express partner Sean Davis out of action with the devastating move. Fabulous Phil and Baker are set to collide in a No DQ Match on the next edition of LOW All-Star Wrestling (Card #831) so this was a preview of sorts. Jones did a good job against Baker early to set up Phil going for some revenge. Baker, however, blasted him with a clothesline and tagged in Khan who nailed Phil with the Twin Thrust for a big near fall. Khan would not look back from there as the 277-pound madman from Mongolia came off of the top rope with a Flying Bodypress on Phil to score the pin. Jones attended to his fallen partner post-match as a smiling Baker teased the Heart Punch while surrounded by Khan and manager Sir Oliver Humperdink.
3) Eddie Gilbert defeated Tracy Smothers: A fired up “Wild Eyed Southern Boy” Tracy Smothers took on “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert who was accompanied by manager Sir Oliver Humperdink. Smothers has faced some adversity in recent weeks, including trading wins with The Executioner of ASW, and was hoping to gain some momentum by beating Gilbert. This was a real war of attrition as both men went all out from the opening bell. Smothers, perhaps in a thirst for victory, nearly got disqualified when he hit Gilbert with a chair shot as they battled on the floor. He hit the Jawjacker at one point but was late in covering as Gilbert kicked out just before the three count. Gilbert fought back hard and after both men went down from a double clothesline off of the ropes he recovered first and nailed Smothers with a DDT. Moments later it was Gilbert hitting the Hot Shot on a stunned Smothers to score the pin.
4) D-Lo Brown & Kenny King defeated Blonde Bombers by DQ: Two teams that have been on a collision course since their first meeting saw the popular D-Lo Brown & Kenny King take on the hated Blonde Bombers (“Suicide Blonde” Chris Candido & “King of Wrestling” Bobby Shane, with manager “Elegant” Eddie Fyne). The Bombers jumped Brown and King at ringside before the bell and ran King into the ring post before taking over on Brown. They punished Brown relentlessly including scoring near falls with a rolling reverse cradle by Shane and a diving headbutt by Candido. Brown finally rallied back picking Shane off of the top rope with a bodyslam and then hitting the Lo Down for a big near fall. He followed with a hot tag to a recovered King who did a great job turning things around for his team. King also scored a near fall on Shane with the swinging side slam. Both teams engaged in a bitter battle that ended up out on the floor where Candido was disqualified for again running Candido head first into the ring post. LOW Officials had to break things up afterward with Fyne urging his men to return to the back.
5) Blackjack Mulligan & Angelo Mosca defeated Kevin Sullivan & Lord Humongous by DQ: A second straight technical decision occurred after very little action took place. It was Blackjack Mulligan & Angelo “King Kong” Mosca taking on Kevin Sullivan & Lord Humongous of the House of Humperdink. Sir Oliver Humperdink ordered his men to attack Mulligan and Mosca at ringside getting it off to a wild start. It was a move that backfired, though, as Mulligan and Mosca turned the tables. Mulligan slammed Sullivan head first into the timekeeper’s table while Mosca hit Humongous with a football tackle knocking him into the guard rail. Humperdink got involved and it was Sullivan grabbing his kendo stick and striking Mulligan with it leading to the disqualification decision just seconds after the bell had rung to get things started. Both teams continued battling after the bell as LOW officials and other wrestlers ran down to break the four men apart. It was a chaotic situation that also saw Don Muraco and Johnny Valentine involved leading to…
6) Johnny Valentine defeated Don Muraco: The intensity between these two ring greats was off the charts as “The Magnificent” Don Muraco took on House of Humperdink member Johnny Valentine. The crowd was at a fever pitch as the two squared off and noticeably absent from ringside was Sir Oliver Humperdink who had gone to the back along with Kevin Sullivan and Lord Humongous after the brawl with Blackjack Mulligan and Angelo Mosca. Valentine showed that he needs no guidance as he went at Muraco with a vengeance in an attempt to get him back for beating him to win the 12-Man Steel Cage Match on the last SWA card in Columbia, SC (Card #814). Valentine hammered away on Muraco using forearms and chops. Muraco struck back and connected with the devastating falling face slam showing Valentine that he also meant business. He worked on the back and neck of Valentine attempting to soften him up for the Hawaiian Hammer, his devastating version of the Tombstone Piledriver. Valentine cut him off late in this one and after a backbreaker he locked on an Abdominal Stretch in mid-ring. Muraco tried to fight off the pain but conceded as Valentine cinched the hold on preventing escape. It was a huge victory for Valentine via submission over the double tough Muraco but you can bet that their paths will likely cross again in the SWA.
7) Midnight Express defeated Randy Savage & Bruiser Brody by DQ: The third match in a tumultuous series between the freelance tag team of Randy “Macho Man” Savage & “King Kong” Bruiser Brody and three-time LOW World tag team champions the Midnight Express (“Loverboy” Dennis Condrey & “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton, with Jim Cornette) had the fans in a frenzy. Savage came out carrying a box which he opened up revealing a Birthday Cake that had an image of Cornette displaying the infamous “Cornette Face”! It was a reminder of a recent edition of LOW All-Star Wrestling when Savage and Brody interrupted Cornette’s birthday celebration and the manager had his face shoved into the cake. Cornette went into a fit of rage as Eaton and Condrey held him back. Savage taunted Cornette with the cake as a chain wielding Brody stomped around ringside itching for the fight to begin. Although the Express have held their own in their matches it is clear that Savage and Brody have the psychological advantage over Cornette and his men. The Express did a great job controlling the action as they isolated Savage preventing Brody from getting a tag. Cornette also got involved hitting Savage in the ribs with his tennis racquet setting up the Face First Legsweep by Condrey for a two count. After executing the Double Goozle it was Eaton getting tagged back in and hitting a top rope flying bodypress on Savage but Brody broke up the pin. Brody went crazy attacking both Eaton and Condrey and then decked “Beautiful” Bobby with a chain shot to the head drawing a disqualification. Condrey and Cornette then pulled the unconscious Eaton out to safety as Savage and Brody argued with the referee. The victory gave the Midnight Express an impressive 3-0 record against Savage and Brody and Cornette saw his team get a big victory in his hometown.
8) LOW International Heavyweight title: Harley Race© defeated Tommy Rich to retain the title: The main event saw the highly touted “Wildfire” Tommy Rich, a protégé of LOW World Heavyweight champion Lou Thesz, attempting to strike gold as he took on veteran star Harley Race for the LOW International Heavyweight title. This was a great bout going back and forth most of the way. Race scored early near falls with a swinging neckbreaker and a flying bodypress off of the top rope. Rich struck back with an airplane spin, piledriver, and finally the Thesz Press for a near fall. He also hit a Thesz Press off of the ring apron which saw Race nearly counted out of the ring. Race launched a vicious assault striking with headbutts and a nice back suplex for another near fall. The crowd rallied behind Rich hoping to see him dethrone Race and he fought back furiously scoring another near fall following an elbow smash and right uppercut. Fatigue was setting in as the match wore on and Race laid out Rich with a vertical suplex before delivering his trademark Piledriver to score the pin. It was a bitter defeat for Rich but Race acknowledged his tough challenge post-match and the two shook hands to cheers from the crowd. It was a successful version four defense of the championship for Race.
