It's always cool seeing a friendly match and the Graham versus Armstrong bout opening the event was a good start, plus Graham winning is good stuff. I really like that pairing of Ox Baker & Ghengis Khan, plus them gaining the victory is cool. It would've been nice to have seen Rich win the gold, but I'm glad that Harley Race retained...

Just getting caught up on your action Curefan. Larry Sharpe was all over card #817 in Portland. Really enjoyed the slow build with Doug Gilbert and the tag match on #826 should provide some hot action. I actually liked the fact that Piper did not come away with the gold. Your Chikara action is always a fun ready. The image of Lee taking a Beach Break...that would a crowd pleaser for sure! Kings of Wrestling will be hard to stop if they really decide to go after the Campeonatos de Parejas. All Star Wrestling (#821) was also a fun read. Love the Nature Boy stopping by announce table. Classic stuff. Saito and Fuji kicking the stuffing out of Ware & South post match was also a nice touch. Loved the eating Twinkies to recover! That London – American Dragon match in Poland (#822) would have been awesome to see. I was recently checking out there best of three falls match from ROH back in the day and am looking forward to their rematch. Hope Danielson reclaims the belt. I have always enjoyed the Michaels card and was glad to see he stood out in the six man tag team bout. Card 823 was classic North East Wrestling with a huge main event and a big title change. Glad to see Thesz come out on top and was surprised/glad that Brazil did not have a major impact. Sabu & Van Dam as tag champs is all right in my book. Great way to open the night with T going over on DiPaolo. Card 824 was classic southern action from start to finish. Like the Blond Bombers team and the feud with Brown and King will be fun to watch play out. Khan with the cross body was crazy. Looking forward to more action.

Thanks for the comments Crimson. Pariah, Bookerbill, and Kamala. A special shout out to BB for that amazing recap of the last bunch of shows. Also I want to wish a very happy and healthy New Year in 2015 to all of my fellow promoters. Next up is action from the AWE...
LOW American Wrestling Enterprise - Nationwide Arena - Columbus, OH (Card #825)
1) PG-13 defeated Naptown Dragons: An outstanding opening match saw the popular team of PG-13 (J.C. Ice & Wolfie D) take on the ASW team of the Naptown Dragons (“Die Hard” Dustin Lee & Scotty Vortekz). PG-13 did a nice job of setting the pace early and they picked up a near fall on Lee with the Hood Attack. The Dragons bounced back and hit their trademark double-team moves like the Dragon’s Breath and drop toehold and double stomp. Ice survived a moonsault by Vortekz and combined with Wolfie D on the Leg Sweep and Clothesline. He then cut off an interfering Lee while Wolfie D covered Vortekz to score the pin.
2) The Crusher defeated Adam Pearce: The long awaited return of The Crusher to the AWE has been met with great adulation from the fans and here the “Man that made Milwaukee Famous” took on tough AWE newcomer “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce. The early action saw Pearce in control as he used his slight speed advantage to keep the Crusher off balance. He never had him in serious trouble, though, and The Crusher resorted to his trademark roughhousing to take over. The finish saw The Crusher using repeated eye rakes before he locked on a powerful Bearhug to score the submission victory. It was a convincing win for The Crusher and one that will surely serve notice to future opponents that he is back and he means business.
3) Larry Zbyszko defeated Blue Meanie: The popular Blue Meanie out of Pepperland took on the self proclaimed “Living Legend” Larry Zbyszko who was accompanied by “The Miser” Angelo Poffo. Zbyszko made headlines on the last AWE card when he turned on his longtime bodyguard and tag team partner John Pesek and signed a contract with manager Bobby “The Brain” Heenan. Poffo was at ringside serving as a manager due to Heenan recently being on the road with the now former LOW World tag team champions the Valiant Brothers. This one was all Zbyszko and even including him removing the turnbuckle pad for a painful attack on the Meanie. After wearing him down with an abdominal stretch it was Zbyszko nailing the Meanie with a Spinning Back Kick to score the pin.
4) King Kong Bundy & Bill Dundee defeated Hacksaw Jim Duggan & Yukon Eric: Big time tag team action saw Hacksaw Jim Duggan & Yukon Eric join forces to battle the Jimmy Hart-led team of King Kong Bundy & “Superstar” Bill Dundee. The longtime rivalry between Duggan and Bundy played out early with both men trading blows in and out of the ring. Duggan was nearly disqualified when he ran Bundy into the ring post but the referee opted to waive it off. Eric took over on Dundee and had the “Superstar” reeling scoring near falls with the Woodsman’s Chop and the bodyblock into the turnbuckle. Things were looking bad for Dundee until he caught Duggan going to the top rope and countered with a superplex. Bundy then knocked Eric off of the ring apron with a shoulder tackle as Dundee came off of the top rope with the Superstar Bomb on Duggan to score the pin.
5) Rick Rude defeated Jim Brunzell: It was a battle of Minnesota natives as Jumpin’ Jim Brunzell took on “Ravishing” Rick Rude, a member of the Heenan Family who was also accompanied to the ring by “The Miser” Angelo Poffo. The referee warned Poffo to keep out of it but he ignored the official and discussed strategy with Rude on the ring apron. Brunzell surprised Rude with a figure four leglock early and then nearly pinned him after hitting the Killer Dropkick. Rude battled back and connected with a piledriver and a top rope kneedrop, the latter of which resulted in a big near fall. Brunzell would give Rude all he could handle and more in this bout but in the end Rude delivered a Swinging Neckbreaker and scored the pin. A smiling Poffo raised the arm of Rude in victory and the Heenan Family members posed over the fallen Brunzell.
6) LOW Tex-Arkana Television title: Curt Hennig© defeated The Terrible Turk to retain the title: The prestigious LOW Tex-Arkana Television title was on the line as the popular Curt Hennig defended the belt against former champion The Terrible Turk (Youssuf Ishmaelo). The Turk held the belt briefly (Card# 654-660) nearly two years ago and so he was hungry to win it back. He dominated the early action scoring a near fall with the Neck Wrencher. He also locked on the controversial Stranglehold but Hennig managed to get to the ropes for a break. The crowd rallied behind Hennig who was able to mount an impressive comeback. A rolling neck snap resulted in a near fall and then action on the outside saw Hennig nearly win it by count out. The finish came when Hennig wore The Turk down with a sleeper hold and then blasted him with a Standing Dropkick to score the pin. It was a successful version nine defense of the title for Hennig against a very tough opponent in The Terrible Turk.
7) Midnight Rockers defeated Mad Dog & Butcher Vachon by DQ: The first ever meeting of the popular Midnight Rockers (Stan Lane & Marty Jannetty) and the Jimmy Hart-led team of Mad Dog & Butcher Vachon just about tore the house down. The Rockers were on fire early including laying Mad Dog out with the Flapjack. The Vachon Brothers fought back and got the heat on Jannetty for an extended stretch. Butcher used the illegal abdominal stretch while Mad Dog executed the airplane spin and jumping knee drop. They scored a few near falls on him before Jannetty was able to make the hot tag to Lane. The native of Myrtle Beach, SC, had the crowd rocking as he tore into both Mad Dog and Butcher. He scored a near fall on Mad Dog with the Superkick with Butcher making a last second save. The two teams fought to the outside a few times as well and that is where Mad Dog and Butcher were able to turn things around. That is until Mad Dog missed a corner charge on Lane and hit the ring post falling to the outside. As a dazed Mad Dog got back in it was Jannetty tagging in and hitting the Rocker Dropper for what looked to be a sure pin. Hart interfered, however, distracting the referee as “Superstar” Bill Dundee ran down and hit the Superstar Bomb on Jannetty. The referee was able to see that, though, and he called for the bell giving the Rockers a disqualification win.
8) Dan Severn defeated William Muldoon: A titanic main event between two of the top ranked stars in the AWE saw “The Solid Man” William Muldoon take on Dan “The Beast” Severn. Both men are former holders of the LOW World Heavyweight title as well as being good friends and occasional tag team partners. Things started off with a hand shake but then quickly got intense as Severn struck early locking on a choke sleeper. Muldoon came back with a flying head mare and used the double shoulder lock to punish Severn. The two had some great exchanges after that including trading the front chancery and using a variety of takedowns. Both men would score big near falls late in the bout with Muldoon using the suplex and press and Severn the German Suplex. Fatigue was setting in for Severn as Muldoon continually caught him with that suplex and also the double shoulder lock. A battle on the ring apron saw Severn win out and then catch Muldoon with a shoulder slam for a near fall. Muldoon was stunned and that led to Severn trapping him in the Heel Hook and cinching it on to get the victory via submission. It was a huge victory for Severn and Muldoon showed great class after the match by shaking hands with him and raising his arm in victory.

Love the Bundy vs. Duggan rivalry. I was just getting involved in LoW at the Origins game convention in Columbus in 2005. Hacksaw was Tom's guest at his booth, and I got to sit with Hacksaw and my three sons and play a match together. We chose Hacksaw's card, so Hacksaw played Bundy. Hacksaw was hysterical! My sons and I took turns rolling the dice, and whenever we changed up, Hacksaw would bellow, "Illegal tag! Illegal tag!". Hacksaw topped it all off by grabbing all three of my sons in a massive triple headlock and posing for a picture.
Such are the memories that make LoW the best game ever!

EpicDave great Duggan story. I have three boys as well so I can really appreciate how special that must have been for you. cruefan68 really enjoyed the AWA vibe to that last card. PG 13 v. Naptown Dragons would be a match I would to play out in the future. Enjoyed the main event. Dundee was all over the place and pinning Hacksaw was a surprise.
