Sweet turn by the Blond Bombers... Even though it was a 'classic doublecross', I never saw it coming... Dillon is building a nice little stable for himself...
The main event between Muraco and Valentine was a blast! Nothing like some attempted vehicular manslaughter to escalate a rivalry...
As always, the writing in this fed is top notch... Define pleasure to read...

Thanks for the comments Pariah. That situation with Dillon, Rogers, and the Blonde Bombers taking out Eddie Fyne played out over several shows. Glad you liked it. Next up is action from the AWE...
LOW American Wrestling Enterprise - Kiel Auditorium - St. Louis, MO (Card #854)
1) PG-13 defeated Les Thatcher & Henry Irslinger: A solid opening bout saw Les Thatcher & Henry Irslinger of ASW take on PG-13 (J.C. Ice & Wolfie D). The often obnoxious duo of PG-13 has been looking to build some momentum in the tag team division but they found some game opponents in the veterans Thatcher and Irslinger. Ice was impressive early as he caught Thatcher with a DDT for a big near fall. Irslinger tagged in and used his technical skills to gain control for his team. That set up Thatcher scoring with moves like the backdrop and series of dropkicks. PG-13 made use of frequent tags, some of which were in desperation, and that made a difference in the match. In the end they combined to take down Thatcher with the Tilt-A-Whirl, a rope whip by Wolfie slamming Ice down with a tilt-a-whirl slam on the opponent, to score the pin.
2) Stevie Richards defeated Chris Tolos: The crowd was on its feet as the bWo (Stevie Richards & Blue Meanie) made their way to the ring for Richards’ match against Chris Tolos, one-half of the Hamilton Wrecking Crew along with his brother the “Golden Greek” John Tolos. The bWo have already developed a cult following and Meanie was at ringside for support of his tag team partner. John Tolos, on the other hand, was not at ringside due to preparing for his big match with Randy “Macho Man” Savage later on the card. Richards was on fire early as he had Tolos in trouble hitting the legdrop, sitout facebuster and the Stevie Kick for a near fall. Tolos battled back aggressively and connected with the Flying Knee Drop but Richards kicked out with authority to a big pop from the crowd. Richards hit another Stevie Kick for a two count and followed up with a third one on a weary Tolos to score the pin. The crowd cheered the big win for Richards and the Meanie did his “Meanie Dance” in celebration.
3) King Kong Bundy, Mad Dog Vachon, & Butcher Vachon defeated The Crusher, Yukon Eric, & Jim Brunzell: Six-man tag team action saw the popular team of The Crusher, Yukon Eric, & Jim Brunzell take on the Jimmy Hart-led First Family trio of King Kong Bundy, Mad Dog Vachon, & Butcher Vachon. Early action saw The Crusher punish Bundy by twice locking the stomach claw on the ample midsection of the 446-pounder. Bundy would come back and hit the Avalanche on Eric but his request for a five count failed as he kicked out at four. Eric had furious battles with all three opponents during the match and nearly put Mad Dog away when he locked on the Kodiak Krunch. Both Mad Dog and Butcher looked strong during their time in clawing and biting their opponents. Butcher impressively lifted Eric up into the Hangman going for the submission. The finish of a great battle saw Bundy overpower Brunzell nailing him with a backbreaker followed by a Running Powerslam to score the pin.
4) Larry Zbyszko & Angelo Poffo defeated William Muldoon & John Pesek: Fury and aggression are two terms best used to describe this grudge tag match as “The Solid Man” William Muldoon & John Pesek took on Heenan Family members Larry Zbyszko & Angelo Poffo. Pesek has been fired up to gain revenge on Zbyszko who turned on him to join up with manager Bobby “The Brain” Heenan. Zbyszko got the better of Pesek in a recent singles match so Pesek was hoping to avenge that here. Zbyszko and Poffo worked well together and got the heat on Pesek for a long stretch. That included Poffo scoring consecutive near falls with the knee lift and Neckbreaker. Zbyszko also hit the Piledriver and went for the pin but Muldoon made the save. Pesek finally made the tag after hitting a waistlock slam allowing Muldoon to try to turn it around. Muldoon used the double shoulder lock on Zbyszko which set up Pesek applying the lateral press keylock on him for a submission chance. Things broke down after that with several out of ring battles involving all four men. The finish saw Zbyszko use the Larryland Sleeper on Pesek before planting him with the Piledriver to score the pin.
5) LOW Tex-Arkana Television title: Hacksaw Jim Duggan© vs. Bill Dundee was a DDQ: The popular Hacksaw Jim Duggan returned to the AWE a conquering hero holding the LOW Tex-Arkana Television title which he put on the line against “Superstar” Bill Dundee who was accompanied by his manager Jimmy Hart. Dundee looked good in the early going as he applied a Boston Crab going for the submission but it was broken up in the ropes. He continued his attack until Duggan struck back with a spinning bodyslam for a two count. Duggan followed with the Old Glory kneedrop and had Dundee in trouble causing Hart to pace frantically at ringside. After Duggan nailed Dundee with a piledriver it was a fatigued “Superstar” bailing out of the ring. The battle continued on the floor with both men trading blows and that led to the referee calling for the bell ordering a double disqualification. Duggan retained the title in his version two defense while Hart and Dundee argued with the referee over the call.
6) Randy Savage defeated John Tolos by DQ: A special attraction match saw freelance star Randy “Macho Man” Savage do battle with the “Golden Greek” John Tolos. It has been a rough stretch for Tolos who was showered with chants of “you tapped out!” coming off the match where he and his brother, Chris Tolos, lost to the bWo (Stevie Richards & Blue Meanie) in Kansas City, KS (Card #846) as Richards beat him by submission with the Rat Trap. Tolos brought out the anger he is feeling as he tore away at Savage including scoring a two count with a thumb to the throat. Savage bounced back in spectacular fashion hitting a piledriver and the flying axe handle from the top rope to the floor. The floor is where much of this battle was waged as the two battled furiously back and forth. It wound up with Tolos getting disqualified snake eyes style when he speared Savage head first into the ring post. Chris Tolos ran down post-match and helped John assault Savage including laying him out with the Flying Knee Drop.
As the Tolos Brothers left the ring area it was Savage struggling to get back to his feet and calling for the microphone. He dared the Hamilton Wrecking Crew to get back in the ring but the two laughed it off. Savage then dared them to accept a tag team match on the next AWE card in Indianapolis, IN (Card #866) and John came back towards the ring motioning that they accept. That led to the intense “Macho Man” saying that he would be bringing his main man, Bruiser Brody, back to the AWE to take out the Hamilton Wrecking Crew drawing big cheers from the crowd. Chris Tolos appeared concerned but John whispered something to him before they returned to the locker room area.
7) Rick Rude defeated Dan Severn by Count Out: A third straight technical decision ended this hard fought bout between Dan “The Beast” Severn and “Ravishing” Rick Rude, the cornerstone of the rebuilt Heenan Family. With manager Bobby “The Brain” Heenan serving as a distraction it was Rude jumping Severn before the bell. He delivered a nice suplex and clothesline that led to an early near fall. Severn battled back going to the choke sleeper which he used to neutralize Rude. A knee to the head stunned Rude but then Severn mistimed a leap off of the second rope (ch) losing the advantage. Rude capitalized on that missed move by hitting a piledriver, a top rope kneedrop and a suplex floating over on top of Severn for a near fall. The two battled out to the floor after that and Rude gained the upper hand executing the Rude Awakening on Severn. Both men were down but as Rude recovered he was rolled back into the ring by Heenan allowing him to score a count out victory. It was a tough loss for Severn and a big win for Rude over a former LOW World Heavyweight champion.
8) LOW World tag team titles: Sabu & Rob Van Dam© defeated Midnight Rockers to retain the titles: The main event was a highlight reel of action as the popular Midnight Rockers (Stan Lane & Marty Jannetty) challenged Sabu & Rob Van Dam, accompanied by their manager Bill Alfonso, for the LOW World tag team titles. There were a ton of near falls and high flying moves in this one, including a remarkable pin save by RVD. It came after Jannetty caught Sabu with the Rocker Dropper with RVD coming off the top rope with the Five Star Frog Splash to break up the pin. Sabu then rolled over on top of Jannetty for a near fall and followed up with the Triple Jump Moonsault but Lane broke up that pin attempt. Lane also came close to winning it pairing up with Jannetty on their version of the Rocket Launcher and later blasting Sabu with the Superkick for a big near fall. The crowd was at a fever pitch going into the closing moments which saw Sabu and Lane both go down on a double clothesline out of the corner. Sabu recovered first and locked on the Camel Clutch as RVD ran in to cut off a save attempt by Jannetty. Sabu cinched the hold on and Lane tapped out ending a great battle for the tag titles. It was a successful version five defense of the belts for Sabu and RVD and afterward both teams shook hands drawing cheers from the crowd along with a well deserved standing ovation.

Very happy that RVD & Sabu were able to retain the tag straps... And it's always cool to see Savage bounce back from a beating... But, I am concerned about what the Tolos brothers might have in store for Macho Man (what was that whispering about?)... Another superb show!

There were some interesting and fun results on this card from PG-13 with the opening match victory and I'd thought they would've lost. Zbyszko & Mosca with a cool victory was another nice victory and seeing the Tag Champs retain is a good thing. The highlight was that Duggan & Dundee double dq match looked wild...

Thanks for the comments Pariah, Crimson and Daytondave. Is Brody going to turn on Savage? stay tuned. Sabu & RVD have been strong in this second run as champions and dave you are right the Tex-Arkana television title is the greatest thing ever. I love having it in my fed and helping to keep the memory of Larry Sweeney alive. Next up is action from Pacific Coast Wrestling...
LOW Pacific Coast Wrestling - San Diego Sports Arena - San Diego, CA (Card #855)
1) Konnan defeated George South: George South, appearing courtesy of LOW All-Star Wrestling, had a tough task as he took on Konnan of Sharpe Sports Agency, Inc. With “Pretty Boy” Larry Sharpe watching from ringside it was Konnan getting off to an explosive start hitting the somersault lariat and a power bomb. South barely knew what hit him as Konnan got into position to trap him the Tequila Sunrise registering an impressive submission victory.
2) Dutch Savage vs. Fritz Von Goering was a DDQ: Dutch Savage, the “Master of the Coal Miner’s Glove Match”, had his toughest test since arriving in PCW as he faced anoter veteran star in Fritz Von Goering. The rugged star from Berlin, Germany, matched Savage hold for hold in this intense battle. It wound up out on the floor when Von Goering bailed after taking a thumb to the throat. The two men began trading blows back and forth while ignoring the referee and that led to a double disqualification decision. The battled continued after the match and ended up with Von Goering challenging Savage to a Coal Miner’s Glove Match saying that he would end his unbeaten streak in such matches. Savage was all too happy to accept and the two will meet in the rugged specialy match on the next PCW card in San Jose, CA (Card #872).
3) P.N. News & Brian Kendrick defeated The Sandman & Tom Prichard by DQ: Another technical decision decided this grudge tag team battle between the “Rapmaster” P.N. News & Brian Kendrick and The Sandman & Dr. Tom Prichard. It was a short battle too as The Sandman took control on News and hit the White Russian Leg Sweep before going to town on him with Singapore Cane shots. That took place in full view of the referee who had no choice but to disqualify Sandman and Prichard giving News and Kendrick the victory. The four continued battling post-match until being separated by LOW officials. It was later learned that News and The Sandman would meet in a Singapore Cane Match on the big card shaping up in San Jose.
4) Roddy Piper defeated Playboy Buddy Rose: A legendary northwest rivalry was renewed on the west coast under the PCW banner as the popular “Rowdy” Roddy Piper took on Playboy Buddy Rose representing Sharpe Sports Agency, Inc. “Pretty Boy” Larry Sharpe was at ringside for this one hoping to see Rose pull off a big win. Piper seemed to be a step ahead of Rose at all times in this match including countering the abdominal stretch and elbowdrop. Rose was visibly frustrated as was Sharpe and Piper and the crowd were loving it. Piper scored near falls with a swinging neckbreaker and back suplex. He then decked Rose with a Foreign Object, appearing to be brass knuckles, scoring another near fall as Sharpe draped the leg of the nearly unconscious Rose over the bottom rope. A short time later it was Piper trapping Rose in the Sleeper Hold and getting the victory via submission. The crowd cheered the win by Piper who decked Sharpe post-match for good measure.
5) Jimmy Snuka defeated Ray Stevens: Another classic rivalry coming from the east coast saw Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka take on Ray “The Crippler” Stevens. Snuka recently left the NWC after a lengthy stay and joined PCW where he has fit right in. The popular “Superfly” dominated the action in this match including scoring near falls with the leap frog and chop and with a cradle hold after a mistimed deathjump by Stevens. It wasn’t until late in the match that Stevens gained control by winning a battle on the floor. He laid out Snuka with the Crippling Piledriver but he was unable to keep up that momentum. Snuka battled back furiously and after connecting with a flying headbutt he came off of the top rope with the Superfly to score the pin. It was an incredible performance for Snuka as he picked up a win over the double tough Stevens.
6) Red Bastien & Billy Red Lyons defeated Don Leo Jonathan & Pepper Gomez: This rematch from the last PCW card saw Don Leo Jonathan & Pepper Gomez take on the “Flying Redheads” Red Bastien & Billy Red Lyons representing Sharpe Sports Agency, Inc. The “Redheads” were looking to avenge their loss to Jonathan and Gomez and restake their claim as the top tag team in PCW. It wasn’t looking too good for them early when Jonathan hit the Mormon Swing on Lyons for a big near fall with Bastien making the save. Bastien again saved Lyons from defeat when he was doubled over and nearly pinned by Gomez with the wind-up punch to the stomach. Lyons would make a comeback hitting the rapid fire dropkicks and he caught Jonathan in the Figure Four Leglock going for the submission. Jonathan reached the ropes for a break but Lyons would quickly lock the hold on again. A failed save by Gomez led to Bastien diving off of the second rope with a knee across the neck and head area knicking Jonathan out. The referee moved back in and called for the bell when he saw Jonathan unable to respond and that gave the “Flying Redheads” the victory via submission.
7) Mil Mascaras defeated The Grappler: Freelance star Mil Mascaras, a record seven-time LOW World Heavyweight champion, made a special appearance in PCW taking on The Grappler in a battle of the masked men. The Grappler has posted some big wins in PCW and had his sights set on taking down Mascaras in the semi-final. He got off to an aggressive start but a counter sunset flip by Mascaras resulted in a two count and also turned the tide of the battle. Mascaras went to his aerial skills to take over and also locked on the bow and arrow to subdue his masked rival. Another dive off of the ropes led to Mascaras going up top and hitting a picture perfect Flying Bodypress on The Grappler to score the pin. The crowd cheered the victory by the “Man of 1,000 Masks” and no doubt would welcome him back to PCW.
8) LOW International Heavyweight title: Harley Race© defeated Curt Hennig to retain the title: Former LOW Tex-Arkana Television champion Curt Hennig, accompanied by his father Larry “The Axe” Hennig, received a huge opportunity as he challenged Harley Race for the LOW International Heavyweight title in the main event. The referee allowed Larry to stay around for the introductions but then sent him to the back at the request of Race. Larry offered Curt some final words of advice and looked intently at Race before heading to the locker room. Hennig dominated the early action and had the champion in serious trouble including scoring a near fall after hitting a running knee lift. A frazzled Race bailed to the outside but Hennig followed and stayed in control. He then executed the Hennig Plex but Race was able to kick out just before the three count. A sleeper hold applied by Hennig had Race again bailing to the outside where he managed to turn the tables on the challenger. Back inside it was Race executing the Piledriver for a big near fall. That blow stung Hennig and a second delivery of the Piledriver resulted in Race scoring the pin to retain the title. The crowd jeered the decision which saw Race survive a tough challenge in his version seven defense of the championship.

I liked the opening match and seeing Konnan slapping on the Tequila Sunrise to beat George South is cool, but the victory for the SSA, Inc. is wild stuff. The highlight was that second match where Dutch and Fritz going to a double dq ending is wild, but FVG throwing out that challenge could be bad for him. Harley Race with a 7th defense is top notch, but I think the pressure is on and I'm looking forward to see who beats him for the LOW IH Strap...
