Thoroughly enjoyed the No-DQ confrontation between Moxley and The Mountie... Two of my favorite superstars! Wonder how that would've turned out if Johnny Polo had been on the scene... The main event was excellent as well... Great seeing Andre pick up the win (even via disqualification) and gaining some retribution after the match... Superb show, my friend... All roads lead to Wrestlecade... Sign me up!

Solid work by Moxley to snag the win against the treacherous Mountie. I am behind on my reading but I was loving the run by Stars and Stripes in the tag team tournament!

Great dominance by Andre although I was hoping Zukhov would get squashed too!

Kings Road United, as usual, was a great tour.
Looking forward to both the Tokyo Dome show and also to WrestleCade IX.
6 years, 260 pages, approaching 900 shows, and this fed is just as good as ever!

Great dominance by Andre although I was hoping Zukhov would get squashed too! Agreed on Andre, but I liked the fight in Zhukov and a good win by Jim Londos is a highlight...

When it is summed up like that Vegas it is hard to believe the point I have reached in my fed and many thanks to all of you have inspired me as well. This is an awesome community, no doubt about it.

A big night for the Russians in France with attacks on both Bockwinkel and Andre and Koloff getting crushed for his trouble in response. Super Crazy & Oro look to be ready to make a run in LOW. Looking forward to the next chapter of Moxley v. Mountie. The buzz for his fed heading into Wrestlecade is awesome. Always a fun read.

Ok here is the final show before the start of WrestleCade IX weekend. I am not sure when I will start posting that as I am in the early process of rolling out the shows but I would imagine the first bit should be up by the weekend. Thanks as always from the comments and for following along it is greatly appreciated...
LOW Northern Wrestling Corporation - Providence Civic Center - Providence, RI (Card #896)
1) Les Thatcher & Jim Powers defeated Dupae Rupa & Mr. X: The stars of ASW kicked off the night of action with Les Thatcher & Jim Powers taking on “The Belgian Brawler” Dupae Rupa & Mr. X. Thatcher and Rupa had some nice exchanges early but that would be the only offense for Rupa’s team. Mr. X tagged in and attempted an offensive but Thatcher reversed that. A tag to Powers led to the popular New York native battering the masked man. The end result saw Thatcher back in and trapping Mr. X in the Stump Puller scoring a submission victory.
2) Sky Low Low defeated Little Beaver: The always popular mighty midget stars squared off as Little Beaver took on his rival Sky Low Low. The crowd ate up their comedic antics which included Sky doing a backdrop counter with a jumping neck twist but then falling on his rear end. Beaver bounced back and used the spinning toe hold for a submission chance but Sky broke it up by biting him. Sky scored consecutive near falls with the rollup with tights and dropkick before nailing Beaver with a Clothesline to score the pin.
3) Tony Atlas defeated Savage-T: “Mr. USA” Tony Atlas, who is headed to WrestleCade IX, took on Savage-T of ASW. Savage-T, who was accompanied by his valet KJ Hill, wrestled the match of his career. He had Atlas in trouble for long stretches including hitting the superkick and running reverse neckbreaker. He also relied on Hill who twice distracted the referee preventing pin attempts by Atlas. In the end, though, the powerful Atlas took control and pinned Savage-T after executing the Press Slam and Splash.
4) Heartbreak Express defeated The Warlord & One Man Gang: The cult favorite Heartbreak Express (Fabulous Phil Davis & Superstar Sean Davis) took on the intimidating team of The Warlord & One Man Gang who were without the services of Captain Lou Albano who was said to be “in training” for WrestleCade IX. Warlord and OMG dominated early with The Warlord, in particular, looking very strong as he assaulted Phil Davis. The crowd was rocking when Sean Davis got in there with OMG as it was over eight-hundred pounds of humanity battling it out. The turning point in the match came when OMG went for the 747 Splash on Phil but he rolled out of the way. Tony Atlas then showed up at ringside and distracted The Warlord allowing the Express to hit The Heartbreaker on OMG with Superstar Sean scoring the pin. The crowd erupted in cheers as the Heartbreak Express picked up a huge victory and the two celebrated with a post-match dance off joined by Atlas as The Warlord and OMG angrily looked on from ringside.
5) Dick Hutton defeated Cowboy Bob Orton: Two veteran ring technicians squared off as Dick Hutton took on “The Ace” Cowboy Bob Orton. This was a tenacious battle with some stiff exchanges back and forth. Early action saw Hutton use the sleeper hold on Orton before transitioning into the Abdominal Stretch going for a submission. Orton made a quick escape and nailed Hutton with a piledriver to take control. A nice sequence saw Orton trap Hutton in the stepover toehold which he transitioned into a Texas Cloverleaf (ch, substitute for Scorpion Deathlock). Orton scored near falls with the middle rope splash and another piledriver. Hutton hung in there, though, and caught Orton with the devastating Cowboy backbreaker followed up by a Side Salto to score the pin.
6) Sabu & Jerry Lynn defeated Drake Younger & Justin Credible: The first meeting in what could be an intense rivalry saw Sabu & Jerry Lynn team up to take on the “Psycho Shooter” Drake Younger & Justin Credible. This match came about when Credible made a surprise return to the NWC helping Younger attack Sabu until Lynn made the save. Manager Bill Alfonso, who handles the contract of Sabu, was not at ringside for the match. This was a great bout with all four men looking impressive. The finishing sequence saw Sabu get the better of Younger as he took him out with Air Sabu. Lynn then ran in and tackled Credible off of the ring apron allowing Sabu to nail Younger with a Slingshot Legdrop to score the pin. It was a huge win for Sabu and Lynn, especially for the former who is headed to WrestleCade IX as part of a team led by Andre the Giant against the army put together by Captain Lou Albano. That match will also feature Sabu opposite his uncle, The Sheik, so there is an interesting story underlying there.
7) Ilio DiPaolo vs. George Steele was a DDQ: The battles between Ilio DiPaolo and George “The Animal” Steele have been a highlight of NWC shows and this one was no exception. The two tore into each other from the opening bell with DiPaolo doing his best to counter the craziness of Steele. A great spot saw both men go down from a double clothesline off the ropes and it was DiPaolo recovering first and executing an Airplane Spin for a big near fall. He followed with a rope climb headlock takeover and applied a leg nelson prompting Steele to bail out of the ring. DiPaolo followed him out and the two continued brawling while refusing to listen to the orders of the referee. A chair came into play with both men hitting each other with the weapon. The referee then called for the bell and ruled the match a double disqualification.
8) Mil Mascaras defeated Gorgeous George by DQ: The main event featured freelance star and record seven-time LOW World Heavyweight champion Mil Mascaras against the flamboyant Gorgeous George who was accompanied by his valet Cherie Dupre. George has been in a foul mood of late after suffering losses to Afa, Jr. of the Samoan Island Tribe and failing to qualify for the PWI Invitational Cup tournament during WrestleCade IX weekend. He grabbed the mic before Mascaras arrived and began berating the fans and the city of Providence before ordering Dupre to “remove the stink” by spraying her perfume atomizer around ringside. When Mascaras made his way down the aisle she tried to spray him but he grabbed the atomizer away from her. That prompted George to jump Mascaras from behind and assault him before the match could even get underway. George went to use a chair but Mascaras beat him to it and hit him with the weapon. The fighting continued with the referee calling for the bell and ordering them to take it into the ring. George refused to listen and sent Mascaras head first into the ring post resulting in a quick disqualification decision. The crowd jeered the call by the referee as George escaped to the back along with Dupre. Mascaras then grabbed the mic and apologized for the short main event but then invited the fans to come to the ring and pose for pictures attempting to send the crowd home happy. He was then joined by his tag team partners at WrestleCade IX, Tony Atlas and Sabu, ending the show with some goodwill towards the fans. As for Gorgeous George it will be interesting to see what comes of him in the new year as he ended this one on a bad note.

Despite standing in the shadows of Wrestlecade, the show from Providence was a fun read. Heartbreak Xpress over Gang & Warlord was awesome enjoyed the Sabu and Lynn taking on Younger & Credible. Some real potential for violence with those four in the ring. DiPaolo v. Steele was a highlight despite the non finish. The main event was a let down. Sabu and goodwill somehow just don’t go together.

Sabu & Lynn vs. Younger & Credible was a definite show stealer in my eyes... Great to see Sabu score the pinfall, as he heads into WrestleCade alongside the rest of Andre's team for a very important match...
Unfortunate that the closing contests resulted in DQ finishes... But, sometimes it simply cannot be avoided...
Cannot wait for the WrestleCade weekend to begin... I've got my ringside ticket!
