What a huge victory for Dupea Rupa over the French Angel, were you a litter shocked he won? I like both Finlay and Erick Stevens and either one winning is cool, but I can say Stevens losing is a bit of a bummer. I really liked the Valiants winning their match, it's always cool when they win...

Great to see Andre keep his undefeated streak alive... And I was happy that Finlay scored a win in his AWE debut...
Highlight match for me was definitely Doring & Roadkill vs. PG-13... Great action and the hubcap shot was just TOO cool... Very entertaining!

Thanks for the comments Crimson and Pariah. That win by Dupae Rupa was a major upset in my book but you have to hand it to "The Belgian Brawler" for pulling off a win over The French Angel. I booked that match hoping that the Angel would have a successful AWE debut, as Finlay did over Erick Stevens, but Rupa (and the dice!) had other things in mind. It will be interesting to see how The Angel rebounds from that. Hope to have another show posted during the week.

LOW Pacific Coast Wrestling - Tucson Gardens - Tucson, AZ (Card #906)
1) Les Thatcher & Little Beaver defeated Mr. X & Sky Low Low: The opening bout saw popular ASW star Les Thatcher team up with the equally popular Little Beaver to take on Mr. X, also of ASW, and Sky Low Low. The tag rules for this match of course meant that the midget stars would have to face each other and not their larger opponents. That didn’t stop Sky from getting involved when it was Thatcher hitting a flying bodypress from the top rope on Mr. X. He ran in and broke up the pin by hitting Thatcher with a low angle dropkick to the head. A fun and entertaining bout ended when Beaver got some revenge on his longtime adversary Sky and caught him with the Boomerang to score the pin.
2) Brad Armstrong defeated Lash Leroux: A highly competitive bout between two popular stars saw Brad Armstrong making his PCW debut taking on the “Rajin Cajun” Lash Leroux. Armstrong recently left the SWA to move to the west coast for PCW in large part to branch out on his own after having teamed with his father, “Bullet” Bob Armstrong, for many years. Leroux was on fire in the early going using moves like the spinning headscissors and twisting Northern Lights Suplex to great effect. Armstrong then stunned Leroux with a knee lift netting a two count to turn the tide. A perfectly applied abdominal stretch by Armstrong nearly resulted in a submission but Leroux escaped with a hip toss. It was an alert Armstrong then quickly springing up to his feet and nailing Leroux with a Dropkick flush on the jaw to score a snake eyes pin.
3) John Tolos defeated Cousin Luke: Two men making their debut in PCW in Cousin Luke and the “Golden Greek” John Tolos barely had any time to compete. That is because Tolos jumped Luke out at ringside as he was shaking hands with the fans. Tolos hit Luke across the back with a chair and assaulted him on the floor. He then tossed him into the ring and shortly after the bell sounded he hit the Flying Knee Drop on a prone Luke to score the pin. It was a quick victory for the hated Tolos and a message clearly sent to anyone who opposes him in the future in PCW.
4) Tommy & Doug Gilbert defeated Texas Hangmen: Tag team action was up next as the father-and-son team of Tommy & Doug Gilbert took on the Texas Hangmen (Killer & Psycho). Both teams put forth solid efforts in this bout and it easily could have gone either way. The Hangmen hit the Hangmen Backbreaker on Doug in the early going but Tommy made a last second save breaking up the pin. The Hangmen also relied on some serious double-team attacks often turning the tide of the battle. Late into it Tommy executed the Back Suplex on Killer for what looked to be a sure pin but Psycho made the save. Psycho used the bullrope to choke out both Tommy and Doug and also joined Killer in some strong attacks out on the floor. The Gilberts’ would get the better of the masked men in the end, though, when Doug cut off a save attempt by Psycho as Tommy caught Killer with a Running Knee Lift to score the pin.
5) 10-Man Battle Royal for $10,000: This 10-Man Battle Royal saw each man put up a $500 entry fee while PCW put up the additional $5,000 for the big prize. With $10,000 at stake it meant that all ten men were going to be going all out to pull off a victory. The ten entrants were a nice cross section of the stars of PCW all whom knew that the win would not only bring them a nice cash prize but a move up the rankings into possible title contention as well. Sharpe Sports Agency, Inc. went in with a nice advantage as Playboy Buddy Rose, Dewey Robertson, and Billy Red Lyons represented the faction headed up by “Pretty Boy” Larry Sharpe. That didn’t last long, however, as Larry “The Axe” Hennig, a longtime rival of the group, managed to eliminate all three men in the early part of the match. It was a masterful performance by Hennig and Sharpe was livid over the turn of events. The final four were Hennig, Don Leo Jonathan, “The Rapmaster” P.N. News, and Pepper Gomez. After Jonathan ousted Hennig, a determined Gomez managed to rattle the larger News with dropkicks before a criss cross smash led to the big man being eliminated. Gomez proved that the size of his opponents didn’t matter as he wore down Jonathan with a sleeper hold before eliminating him to win the match and collect the money.
Order of Elimination:
â—Ź Billy Red Lyons (by Larry Hennig) â—Ź Playboy Buddy Rose (by Larry Hennig) â—Ź Dewey Robertson (by Larry Hennig) â—Ź The Sandman (by Don Leo Jonathan) â—Ź Dutch Savage (by Pepper Gomez) â—Ź Brian Kendrick (by P.N. News) â—Ź Larry Hennig (by Don Leo Jonathan) â—Ź P.N. News (by Pepper Gomez) â—Ź Don Leo Jonathan (by Pepper Gomez) W) Pepper Gomez
6) Tom Prichard defeated Curt Hennig: Coming off of a tough loss to Bruiser Brody in the finals of the PWI Invitational Cup Tournament at WrestleCade IX, Curt Hennig hoped to kick off the new year with a win as he took on the capable Dr. Tom Prichard. It was all Prichard early as he caught Hennig with a blistering attack including the enzuigiri. He also choked him out with a piece of rope and covered him for a two count. Hennig battled back hitting a missile dropkick and The Axe. He had Prichard in serious trouble until Prichard was able to execute a slingshot suplex for a big near fall. With Hennig dazed it was Prichard resorting to another Foreign Object, appearing to be brass knuckles, and he hit him point blank resulting in the pin. It was a controversial win for Prichard and Hennig will no doubt be looking to get him back in the ring to try and even the score.
7) LOW Junior Heavyweight title: Johnny Saint© defeated Red Bastien to retain the title: The LOW Junior Heavyweight title was on the line in the semi-final as the popular Johnny Saint defended the belt against Red Bastien of Sharpe Sports Agency, Inc. “Pretty Boy” Larry Sharpe was in the corner for Bastien which looked to be a decided advantage for the challenger. Bastien put up a strong challenge against Saint as he dominated a good portion of the match. The finishing sequence was incredible as Bastien had Saint set up in position for the Boston Crab but Saint countered into the turtle up position. Bastien was confused and reached in allowing Saint to execute the Johnny Saint Special to score a snake eyes pin and retain the title. Both Bastien and Sharpe were livid as Saint was successful in his version four defense of the title. Billy Red Lyons hit the ring post-match and joined Bastien in an attack on Saint as Sharpe encouraged them. Dutch Savage and Don Leo Jonathan then ran in and helped out Saint by running Bastien, Lyons and Sharpe out of the ring. That led to Savage grabbing the mic and challenging Bastien and Lyons to face him and Jonathan on the next PCW card in San Diego, CA (Card #917).
8) Mil Mascaras, Jimmy Snuka, & Roddy Piper defeated Ray Stevens, The Grappler, & Konnan: The main event featured two all-star teams as Mil Mascaras, Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka and “Rowdy” Roddy Piper took on Ray “The Crippler” Stevens, The Grappler and Sharpe Sports Agency, Inc. member Konnan. All six men had moments to shine in this one which really could have gone either way. Piper nearly won it in the early going as he trapped The Grappler in the Sleeper but Konnan made the save. Konnan in turn had some great battles with both Mascaras and Snuka. He nearly pinned Mascaras, the record seven-time LOW World Heavyweight champion, with the 187. Stevens joined in twice planting Mascaras with the Crippling Piledriver. It was an impressive assault on Mascaras by the opposition but they were unable to put him away. The crowd popped big whenever Piper battled The Grappler who is his longtime nemesis in PCW. The two had some heated exchanges both in and out of the ring. The finish of a great bout saw Konnan going for a backdrop on Snuka but he executed a leapfrog followed by a big powerslam. Konnan was in serious trouble as Snuka made the tag and Piper exploded into action nailing him with a Knee Lift to score the pin as Mascaras and Snuka prevented a save from being made. The crowd erupted in cheers as Mascaras, Snuka and Piper stood victorious to end the show.

That's a pretty big victory for Tom Prichard in the Battle Royal, plus I like the win by John Tolos. The Main Event was very cool, glad to see Mil Mascaras, Jimmy Snuka, and Roddy Piper winning it. Speaking of Mil Mascaras, on a side note he appears in DC Comics Batman '66 issue #67 of the digital version where they've made Bane into a Luchadore, pretty cool story...

Great PCW action!
As they usually are, the Battle Royal was filled with excitement... Was hoping for a better performance out of The Brian Kendrick... But, it was awesome fun regardless... And nice work by Johnny Saint on keeping LOW Junior Heavyweight title belt... There's just no counter to the 'turtle shell' defense...
The main event rocked! So wild seeing Mil, Superfly and the Rowdy One standing in triumph at the end...
Great stuff, as always... Loved it!

Thanks for the comments Crimson and Pariah. I really had fun with that show. I have been looking to move John Tolos to the west coast for a while now and his debut didn't disappoint. I am hoping he will really stir things up in PCW. The Mascaras-Snuka-Piper vs. Stevens-Grappler-Konnan match was really fun and I have to admit I marked out when Roddy scored the pin after the save attempt failed. It felt like a fitting tribute to the "Hot Rod" in my fed.
Crimson, that was a cool note about Mascaras in the Batman comic I had no idea. Next up will be SHIMMER (Lufisto vs. Mercedes Martinez for the title headlines) and then King of Trios. My dice rolling is still limited due to injury but I am trying my best to enjoy this great game. Hope to get some cards done over the coming weekend. Thanks again guys your support is greatly appreciated.

SHIMMER action is coming right up Daytondave, hope you enjoy it. Next up will be the IWA King of Trios event which I hope to have posted by next weekend...
SHIMMER - Women Athletes - Volume 25 - The Eagles Club - Berwyn, IL (Card #907)
1) Angelus Layne defeated Leva Bates: Volume 25 opened up with ole “Blue Pants” herself, Leva Bates, taking on the tough Angelus Layne. The crowd was solidly behind Bates as she took the fight to Layne in the early going. She had things under control until Layne nailed her with a full nelson bomb for a near fall. Layne took over on offense until a deathjump (ch) saw her take out the referee as well. Bates regained control and took out Layne with the Shiranui and Superhero kick. After the referee recovered it was Layne hitting Memory Layne, a Gori Bomb, and Victory Layne, a TKO, back to back to score the pin.
2) Glamour Girls defeated Veda Scott & Su Yung: Former SHIMMER tag team champions the Glamour Girls (Leilani Kai & Judy Martin) looked very impressive as they took on Veda Scott & Su Yung. Kai and Martin dominated most of the match using quick tags and great teamwork. Martin scored near falls on Scott with a face first suplex and on Yung with the double leg slingshot. A later pin attempt by Martin on Yung saw Scott break it up with an elbowdrop and reverse positions as the referee tried to get Kai out of the ring. That resulted in a near fall for Yung but a short time later Kai caught her with a double chop off the turnbuckle followed by the Running Splash for the pin.
3) Sassy Stephie defeated Delilah Doom: Spunky SHIMMER newcomer Delilah Doom from San Dimas, CA, took on Sassy Stephie, the ruthless competitor out of Akron, OH, who was accompanied by her tag team partner Nevaeh. Stephie roughed up Doom in the early going including planting her with the underhook DDT and delivering the Sass Squash, a running hip into the corner. Doom surprised Stephie with a counter sunset flip for a two count and then executed a La Magistral Cradle for a big near fall. Stephie then kicked it into high gear and in the end executed Kiss My Sass, a falling neckbreaker onto the knee, to score the pin.
4) Lacey & Rain defeated Barbi Hayden & Jessica James: Grudge tag team action saw Barbi Hayden & Jessica James join forces to battle former SHIMMER tag team champions the Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew (Lacey & Rain). This match came about at Volume 24 when after winning her debut match it was Hayden being interviewed by Amber Gertner when Lacey and Rain confronted her and planned to attack until James ran out to even the odds. Hayden handled herself well against both members of the MHWC but the teamwork of Lacey and Rain would be the difference in the match. They did a great job of isolating James and preventing her from making a tag. James fought valiantly including kicking out just before the three count after taking the Tomikaze. Moments later it was an alert Lacey nailing James with the Implant DDT to score the pin. Gertner showed up after the match to interview the MHWC and they wound up calling out the Glamour Girls (Leilani Kai & Judy Martin) saying that they are the number one contenders and that there is only room for one of the two teams in SHIMMER. Kai and Martin showed up and accepted a challenge for the two teams to meet at Volume 26.
5) Madison Eagles defeated Jessicka Havok: Two of the titans of SHIMMER squared off as the statuesque Madison Eagles out of Sydney, Australia, took on the powerful Jessicka Havok from Canton, OH. Havok has been having a rough go of it in recent months and was hoping to put Eagles away here. She tried to overpower her early but Eagles used her agility to frustrate the “Havok Death Machine”. Eagles blocked a snap suplex attempt and rocked Havok with a running big boot scoring a two count. An attempt at the Cattle Mutilation saw Havok fight out of the hold and take the match to the outside. The two brawled around ringside and surprisingly it was Eagles getting the upper hand. Back inside it was Eagles surprising Havok with Hell Bound, a Death Valley Driver onto the knee, to score the pin. It was a huge win for “The Punisher” who no doubt is aiming for a shot at the SHIMMER championship. Havok was irate following the loss and she tossed chairs around ringside and into the ring before Sassy Stephie and Nevaeh showed up and were able to get her to return to the back.
6) I Quit Match: Saraya Knight defeated Allison Danger: The heated rivalry between Regeneration-X member Allison Danger and “Sweet” Saraya Knight continued with a special I Quit Match meaning that one of the two very proud women would have to give up to end it. The crowd was at a fever pitch by the opening bell as the two began trading blows. It was give and take for while before Knight planted Danger with the running Samoan Drop. She then used the Knightmare, a single leg Boston Crab, attempting to get Danger to quit. She refused and then Knight made her pay for it by busting her open with a lead pipe during a battle on the outside. Danger shook off the pain and made an impressive comeback hitting trademark moves like the Old School Expulsion and Flirting with Danger. The two brawled out of the building at one point and it was Danger sending Knight crashing into the windshield of a car. Judging by the reaction of SHIMMER promoter Dave Prazak at ringside it may have been his car that was damaged by the actions of the two violent women. The two took some serious punishment in this one but in the end it was a bloody Danger being forced to say “I Quit” when Knight trapped her in the Bridled Rocking Horse, a painful grounded stretch. Knight reveled in her victory and afterward gestured around her waist indicating that she has the SHIMMER title in her sights. Danger received a great ovation from the crowd afterward as she was helped to the back by LOW officials.
(Promoter’s Note: I used the hardcore rules for the Texas Death Match to add some heat to this match held under “I Quit” rules. In addition, the winner was decided when the loser reached a total of ten tokens.)
7) Cheerleader Melissa defeated Portia Perez: A SHIMMER tag team championship match was featured in the opening match of WrestleCade IX, which was a huge honor for the promotion, and it was the Canadian Ninjas (Portia Perez & Nicole Matthews) becoming record three-time champions when they won the belts from Cheerleader Melissa & Sara Del Ray. In the aftermath it was an attack by the Ninjas on Melissa and Del Ray that led to this challenge match being set up by SHIMMER promoter Dave Prazak. He sanctioned Melissa to face the outspoken Perez with the added stipulation that both Del Ray and Matthews were barred from the building. The outspoken Perez stated in a pre-match interview with Amber Gertner that she would make “quick work” of Melissa, a former two-time SHIMMER champion. Perez jumped her at the bell delivering multiple punches but Melissa quickly countered with a Curb Stomp and scored the pin! It was all over in less than thirty seconds and Perez was furious claiming a fast count was made by the referee.
As Melissa left the ring and celebrated with the crowd, a pouty Perez grabbed a chair and sat in mid-ring refusing to leave. SHIMMER promoter Dave Prazak grabbed the mic and demanded that Perez leave the ring as the main event was waiting to go on. She refused and so Prazak sent LOW officials into the ring to remove her which led to a hilarious chase scene in the ring and around ringside. Perez evaded them for longer than the match lasted and the crowd even cheered her on. One official was finally able to corral her but Perez bit his arm leading to another chase. Prazak had enough and demanded that Perez return to the back or the Canadian Ninjas would be stripped of the SHIMMER tag team titles. She finally left but Prazak gave her one last thing to think about as he said that the main event of SHIMMER Volume 26, which will be held at the Olympic Theatre in Cicero, IL (Card #918), would be the Canadian Ninjas defending the tag team titles against Melissa and Del Ray in a Steel Cage Match! Perez ran back out screaming bloody murder but this time a wall of officials caught her in the aisle and carried her to the back to cheers from the crowd.
8) SHIMMER title: Mercedes Martinez defeated Lufisto© by DQ: The main event saw the “Super Hardcore Anime” Lufisto make her version one defense of the SHIMMER title against the “Latina Sensation” Mercedes Martinez who is a former champion. Lufisto scored a huge win over Sherri Martel in a Dog Collar Match at WrestleCade IX to become champion and she wasted no time in putting the belt up against one of the toughest women wrestlers in the world in Martinez. Martel has not been heard from since losing the championship but it was almost certain that she had her eyes on this highly anticipated championship bout. Both women were at the top of their game and this was an incredible match featuring some heated exchanges and big near falls. Lufisto scored early using a rear naked choke and executing the Diving Star Headbutt. Martinez battled back with some strong strikes and scored a big near fall after a delivery of brutal chops. It looked like Lufisto barely got her shoulder up before the three count but Martinez didn’t let it affect her and continued a focused attack. A dose of the 3 Amigas and a brainbuster resulted in another near fall for the challenger. Lufisto dug down deep and mounted a nice counter attack hitting another Diving Star Headbutt and a flurry of chops and jabs for a near fall. This one ended up on the outside where Lufisto was disqualified snake eyes style for spearing Martinez head first into the ring post. It was an action in the heat of the moment but it allowed Lufisto to survive her version one title defense.

I wanted Leva Bates and Veda Scott&Su Yung to have won their respective matches, but it's great to see Cheerleader Melissa win over Portia Perez knowing I really like Perez...
