So many possibilities for a partner for Moxley... I love the intrigue. If Moxley vs. Street had ever been a feud in reality, it would have been epic. As it stands, cruefan is the man to bring that feud to life!

Thanks for the comments Pariah, Joebreakdown, Crimson, Bookerbill and Daytondave. It is greatly appreciated and dave you are right about Moxley vs. Street as that would have been pretty fun in real life. I have an idea for Moxley's tag partner (I would like to hear your prediction Pariah) and for more on that read on as this next edition of LOW All-Star Wrestling features an interview with Moxley, some news from Sumie Sakai, and a huge upset. Hope you enjoy the show...
LOW All-Star Wrestling (Episode 51) - WMC-TV5 Studios - Memphis, TN (Card #921)
The broadcast opened with a video montage of freelance stars Bruiser Brody and Randy “Macho Man” Savage highlighting some of the greatest moments in their respective careers in LOW. Those were intertwined with highlights of their confrontations with each other including a thrilling battle at WrestleCade VII (Card #700 at Citi Field in Queens, NY) which Savage won via disqualification. The two eventually formed a tag team that ended a few months back when Brody accepted a payoff from Bobby “The Brain” Heenan in the AWE, money which was provided by the “Million $ Man” Ted Dibiase, and walked out on Savage during a heated tag team match against the Valiant Brothers. That footage fed directly into their most recent altercation at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY (Card #916) where Savage jumped Brody following an LOW World Heavyweight title match in which Brody lost to defending champion Lou Thesz. Announcers Lance Russell and Dave Brown discussed the volatile history between the two and noted that at some point things will come to a head and the results will be very interesting. Russell added that the two have been signed to meet in the main event on the upcoming NWC card in East Rutherford, NJ (Card #923) and it will be interesting to see how things go down there.
LR: “Ok everybody and welcome to another edition of LOW All-Star Wrestling. We have a fine card of action for you today and with that I’m going to throw it over to my longtime friend Dave Brown to give us the rundown.”
DB: “Thanks Lance and you are correct in that we have some outstanding action in store today. In fact in the opening contest we will have an elimination match in the IWA J-Crown title tournament with Ricochet taking on Steve O’Reno and that should be an exciting bout. We also have the LOW Tex-Arkana Television title on the line today and it will be the very popular S.D. “Special Delivery” Jones of ASW getting a chance to take the title from Roderick Strong who represents the House of Truth out of the IWA. Also in action we have the high flying Antonino Rocca from the NWC, the rugged tag team of The Grappler & Ray “The Crippler” Stevens from PCW, and Heenan Family member Larry Zbyszko from the AWE. In addition we will hear from GWA star Jon Moxley in a pre-recorded interview and Sumie Sakai, formerly of SHIMMER, will be here to discuss an exciting new project that she is a part of. Without further ado let’s go up to ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta for the introductions to our opening match.”
1) IWA J-Crown Elimination Match: Ricochet defeated Steve O’Reno: The popular Ricochet from Paducah, KY, took on Houston, TX, native Steve O’Reno with the winner moving on in the tournament. O’Reno, who is not under contract to the IWA, made a strong showing as he dominated most of the early action. He caught Ricochet with a wicked Blue Thunder Bomb later applied The Lou Thesz Special, a leg and groin submission hold, but Ricochet was able to escape. During the bout it was noted by Russell that an interesting match for the LOW Junior Heavyweight title was coming up at the Eddie Graham Sports Complex in Tampa, FL (Card #924) with Johnny Saint defending the title against Mike Graham. Brown said that it was a huge opportunity for Graham competing for the belt in the same building that is named after his legendary father. Ricochet put his great aerial skills on display hitting both the shooting star press and 450 corkscrew splash. O’Reno fought back but in the end Ricochet came off of the top rope with Chocolate Rain to score the pin. Russell noted that Ricochet joins Chuck Taylor in moving on to the next round which takes place in Taylor, MI (Card #939). The first IWA J-Crown champion will be decided in a tournament final on Supercard of Honor at Soldier Field in Chicago, IL (Card #949).
2) Antonino Rocca defeated Mr. X: The studio audience gave a standing ovation to the popular Antonino Rocca as he made his way into the ring for this match with Mr. X. Rocca showed off his great skills as he dominated the masked man en route to victory. He hoisted the hapless Mr. X up for the Argentinian Backbreaker resulting in a submission decision. Rocca stopped by the announce table post-match shaking hands with Lance Russell and Dave Brown before signing autographs for some children who ran over to ringside.
● Interview – Jon Moxley: Lance Russell introduced this special video sent in by GWA star Jon Moxley from New Zealand where he had just competed against Exotic Adrian Street. Moxley won their match in Christchurch, NZ (Card #920) via disqualification when Paul London interfered. London, angry over losing to Koko B. Ware of ASW earlier on the card, joined Street in an ambush on Moxley. The video opened with Moxley down in an alleyway surrounded by homeless men. The unhinged star proceeded to give them some cash before going off on both Street and London who had agreed to take him on in a tag team match on the next GWA card in London, England (Card #927). He said the following: “I am bringing a mystery partner to London and it may even be one of these guys (referring to the homeless men). Or it could be that cab driver over there, the garbage man up the street or maybe even the guy behind the deli counter. It could be 2 Cold Scorpio or Dave Taylor, or maybe even Andre the Giant. Heck it could even be former SHIMMER champion Sherri Martel. I know that she could take Street and Miss Linda out to the woodshed while I finish off London in where else but London, England. I know you guys want to know who I am bringing to be my tag team partner but you will have to kill me to find out and you don’t have the guts. I will leave you with one final word and that is that you guys will need to shield yourself from the punishment that we will be bringing down on you that night and that is a promise!” The video concluded with Moxley drinking with the men before putting on his leather jacket and stumbling out of the alleyway.
3) The Grappler & Ray Stevens defeated Les Thatcher & Ricky Landell: The very capable ASW combination of Les Thatcher & Ricky Landell took on PCW stars The Grappler & Ray “The Crippler” Stevens in exciting tag team action. The match took place over the span of a commercial break and featured some close near falls and pin saves on both sides. Russell noted that this was a big match for The Grappler and Stevens as they have a major opportunity coming up at the Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles, CA (Card #926) where they face the Road Warriors for the LOW World tag team titles. It almost ended in disaster for the future title challengers as Landell caught Stevens up top with a counter superplex followed by a double-arm underhook suplex for a big near fall. The Grappler used the controversial Loaded Boot on Thatcher but Landell made the save. The finish of a great bout saw Stevens execute the Bombs Away on Thatcher to score the pin as The Grappler prevented Landell from making the save.
4) LOW Tex-Arkana Television title: Roderick Strong© defeated S.D. Jones to retain the title: Coming off of a huge won over Fritz Von Goering at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY (Card #916); S.D. Jones was rewarded with a title opportunity as he took on Roderick Strong for the LOW Tex-Arkana Television title. There is some history between the two as Strong retained the belt beating Jones during his first reign as champion over two years ago on LOW All-Star Wrestling (Card #671). Manager Truth Martini accompanied Strong to ringside and stopped at the announce table to quote from the Book of Truth saying that it had already been written that Jones would again fail in his bid to win a championship. That book almost needed a rewrite as Jones took Strong to the limit in this bout. After releasing Jones from the Stronghold, Strong nailed him with the Sick Kick but took his time making the cover and he kicked out just before the three count. Martini went crazy at ringside as Jones mounted a comeback hitting the Philly shuffle and KO punch and the power bodyslam. It was looking bad for Strong until he recovered and hit Death by Roderick, a fireman’s carry into a double knee backbreaker, to score the pin. It was a successful version six defense of the title for Strong but one that both he and Martini won’t soon forget.
5) Jim Powers defeated Larry Zbyszko: As Lance Russell and Dave Brown were discussing a big night upcoming for the AWE at Cobo Hall in Detroit, MI (Card #925) the “Living Legend” Larry Zbyszko interrupted them. Zbyszko, a member of the Heenan Family in the AWE, complained about having to face a “stiff” like Jim Powers and said that he deserves only main event level competition. Russell responded that Powers is a very capable opponent and that Zbyszko had better keep his focus on matters at hand. The two got back to going over the Detroit card which will feature John Pesek challenging Greg Valentine for the LOW International Heavyweight title and Lou Thesz defending the LOW World Heavyweight title against Dan “The Beast” Severn. Zbyszko, meanwhile, was having his head handed to him by Powers in the ring. He bailed out to catch his breath and yelled at Russell and Brown about being given a “ringer” by ASW. He never had a chance to get on track and it was Powers scoring one of the biggest upsets in ASW history as he pinned Zbyszko snake eyes style with the Powerslam. The crowd erupted in cheers as Powers scored a huge win and Zbyszko was left shocked over the loss.
After the commercial break, Zbyszko returned and began yelling at both Russell and Brown saying that he was cheated with a fast count by the referee. He refused to stop complaining about the loss as Russell tried to get it to the next segment which was an interview with Sumie Sakai. Finally it was Powers coming back out and saying that if Zbyszko was so sure that it was a “cheap win” then they could have a rematch right away. Zbyszko backed off and said that they would fight again but it would be in his home territory of the AWE. Powers had no problem with that and agreed to fight Zbyszko on the upcoming card in Detroit. Brown then went over to the interview area and brought out Sakai for the schedule interview…
● Interview – Sumie Sakai: Dave Brown introduced Sumie Sakai, a native of Tokyo, Japan, and a former star in the SHIMMER promotion. Sakai thanked him for the time and said that LOW has always had plenty of opportunities for women wrestlers but with the increase in talent the roster for SHIMMER has prevented some talented ladies from getting spots. It was at a business meeting with Rikidozan, the founder of Kings Road United in Japan, that the idea for a new traveling group of women wrestlers was born. She said that the new group – which presently includes herself, two-time SHIMMER champion Mildred Burke, April Hunter, Rockin Robin, Jazz, and Joyce Grable – will be called Ring Angels and be contracted to appear in the various territories in LOW. Brown said that was great news and Sakai added that the six will be competing on the upcoming NWC card in East Rutherford, NJ (Card #923) and hope to get other dates after that. She noted that Rikidozan has also invited the group to participate on the next tour for Kings Road United (Cards# 932-934). Brown thanked Sakai for breaking the news on LOW All-Star Wrestling and wished her luck in the new endeavor.
6) Henry Irslinger defeated Savage-T: The expiration of time match saw Henry Irslinger based out of Atlantic City, NJ, take on South Carolina native Savage-T who was accompanied by his valet KJ Hill. It was all Savage-T in the early going and he picked up a near fall when he came off of the top rope with a flying bodypress. Irslinger rebounded and caught Savage-T with the Flying Headlock going for the pin but Hill distracted the referee. With television time winding down neither man had picked up a fall so it looked like it could end up in a time limit draw. Irslinger, however, was relentless and he caught Savage-T in a Scissors Hold resulting in a submission victory. There was less than a minute left and Hill tried to encourage Savage-T to tie it up but he was unable to and with the time limit running out it was Irslinger being awarded a 1-0 victory.

Very happy to see Ricochet advance in the J-Crown tourney... It was cool seeing SD Jones put up such a great fight against the LOW Tex-Arkana Television, Roddy Strong...
But, you totally outdid yourself with that Jon Moxley promo... Swear I could hear the voice of The Lunatic Fringe, as he discussed all the possibilities for his mystery tag team partner... And I'm pretty sure you dropped a hint in there too...
Superb stuff!

I agree with Pariah and I need to add that Jim Powers over Larry Zbyszko match was really killer cool stuff, that win I'd think elevates Powers toward a possible title shot...

15 glorious years of Zbyszko tradition... down the drain in a single ignominious defeat...
I'm pulling for the guy behind the deli counter as the mystery partner!

Thanks for the comments Pariah, Crimson and Daytondave. The LOW All-Star Wrestling shows are really fun to put together as I try and capture the feel of the great Memphis studio shows with Lance Russell & Dave Brown. Glad you guys liked the Jon Moxley promo. It's funny Pariah in that I could also hear his voice while writing that. The mystery partner is a good one so stay tuned.
Powers over Zbyszko was one of those results that had me staring at the dice wondering what happened. I was considering that a tuneup match for Zbyszko but as daytondave noted that was fifteen glorious years down the drain. Powers may have to be considered for an upcoming TV title shot Crimson. Thanks again for the comments and next up will be IWA action featuring the Osirian Portal vs. Tursas & Brodie Lee for the tag titles, some more J-Crown action and another appearance by Dalton Castle. I hope to have that show posted soon.

I just have to say that your LOW All-Star Wrestling show is always one of the best write-ups on the board. You capture studio wrestling perfectly. Some modern wrestling fans might not get it but it sure takes me back!

I just have to say that your LOW All-Star Wrestling show is always one of the best write-ups on the board. You capture studio wrestling perfectly. Some modern wrestling fans might not get it but it sure takes me back! Thanks as that has been my goal with the television show to give it the studio wrestling feel. I initially ran it out of Irish McNeil Boys Club in Shreveport, LA (Mid South Wrestling!) but then moved it to WMC-TV5 in Memphis, TN, as to me there was nothing better than watching those old studio shows. I still watch them on video today. It is a shame that most modern fans missed out on that. Lance Russell & Dave Brown were by far my favorite announce team so I try and capture them in the write-ups as best as I can.

IWA - Halfway To Everywhere - Du Burns Arena - Baltimore, MD (Card #922)
1) The Castle Experience II: Ultramantis Black defeated Dalton Castle: The popular Ultramantis Black took on unique free agent Dalton Castle who was accompanied to the ring by his Boys. With the success of the first Castle Experience during King of Trios weekend it was IWA Commissioner David Marquez bringing Castle back for another opportunity. Castle impressed early using a bearhug to put the squeeze on Ultramantis before hitting the Deadlift German Suplex for a two count. Ultramantis battled back and was going for the Praying Mantis Bomb when the Boys got up on the apron waving their peacock feathered fans. Ultramantis wasn’t impressed and he scared the Boys off of the ring apron before turning around to hit the Praying Mantis Bomb on Castle for the pin. Castle dropped to 1-1 in his IWA appearances while Ultramantis picked up a nice victory for himself.
2) American Wolves defeated Sami Callihan & Willie Mack: The American Wolves (Davey Richards & “Die Hard” Eddie Edwards) took on the new combination of Sami Callihan & Willie Mack. Having paired up during King of Trios it looks like Callihan and Mack may be giving it a go in the IWA tag team division. They looked great in this match against a veteran team and came very close to pulling off a victory. Callihan used his finisher, the Stretch Muffler, on both opponents and Mack scored a nice near fall on Edwards with a frog splash. They dominated the action for a good stretch before Richards opened up on Callihan leveling him with kicked to death resulting in a near fall. Edwards survived an assault from both men, which included the suicide dive by Callihan, and led his team to victory in the end when he caught Callihan with a missile dropkick followed by a Tiger Suplex for the pin. The crowd applauded the efforts of both teams after what was a great match and the four men showed some class by shaking hands with each other. Callihan and Mack took a tough loss but served notice that they could make an impact in the tag team division in the future.
3) IWA J-Crown Elimination Match: Johnny Gargano defeated Bobby Fish: The IWA J-Crown elimination tournament continued with Bobby Fish, one half of reDRagon, taking on free agent star Johnny Gargano. The action was pretty intense from the start which included Gargano applying the Gargano Escape, a combination chicken wing and crossface submission hold, but Fish powering out of the hold. It was Fish bouncing back using the leglock and a variety of suplexes. He also scored two counts with a counter roll-up out of the corner and a counter cradle hold off of the ropes. Gargano made a nice comeback in the end and hit the Baby Ace Crusher before locking on the Gargano Escape again. Fish tried to fight out of it and get to the ropes but Gargano cinched the hold on and wound up scoring a submission victory to join Chuck Taylor and Ricochet in the next round.
4) Jay Lethal defeated Drew Galloway: UK star Drew Galloway received a nice ovation from the crowd on his way to the ring as he took on Jay Lethal who was accompanied by his manager SoCal Val. This was an amazing match as both men came extremely close to victory. Lethal dominated early until he tripped over IWA photographer Dr. Mike Lano who was taking a picture of a downed Galloway on the outside. Galloway struck with Thee Move and hit the Double Arm DDT on Lethal for a big near fall. Lethal countered using the Koji Clutch to great effect but Galloway kept fighting out of the hold. After Galloway hit a second Double Arm DDT he went for the pin but Val pulled the referee out of the ring to break up the count. Lethal took advantage of that and hit Lethal Injection on Galloway but he kicked out just before the three count. A battle on the outside saw Galloway busted open after a smash into the ring post which led to another near fall for Lethal. Galloway battled back after that but the blood loss left him in a vulnerable state and Lethal again trapped him in the Koji Clutch which this time resulted in a submission victory for the Elizabeth, NJ, native.
5) IWA J-Crown Elimination Match: Scorpio Sky defeated Tadarius Thomas: Another IWA J-Crown elimination tournament match featured Tadarius “TD” Thomas out of Detroit, MI, taking on free agent Scorpio Sky who is a native of Big Bear, CA. This one was all action with both men taking to the air for some nice dives out of the ring. Thomas hit a suicide dive and then trapped Scorpio in the corner assisted armbar. Scorpio struck back with the somersault plancha and Blackout DDT, the latter of which resulted in a two count. Scorpio began to mount a strong offensive after that including hitting the Argle Bargle, a spinning headlock elbow drop onto the knee. Thomas was stunned and so Scorpio moved in for the kill pulling off a move out of his King of Sting arsenal, the Ace of Spades which is a fireman’s carry into an Ace Crusher, and that resulted in the pin. It was an impressive win for Scorpio Sky who now joins fellow free agent Johnny Gargano along with IWA stars Chuck Taylor and Ricochet in moving on to the next round.
6) Mark & Jay Briscoe defeated Delirious & Rhino: A big grudge tag team match saw Mark & Jay Briscoe go against the House of Truth team of Delirious & Rhino. Manager Truth Martini was not at ringside for his team due to being on the road with LOW Tex-Arkana Television champion Roderick Strong. During the introductions Jay Briscoe shot a deadly stare towards Delirious who has twice used the Red Poison attack on him. Jay was particularly effective in this match hitting trademark moves like the Jay Driller, resulting in a two count on Rhino, and the Yakuza Kick. Delirious largely kept away from Jay during the match opting to tag to Rhino. The “Man Beast” scored with the running powerslam on Mark who countered with the Cut-Throat Driver which resulted in another two count. Rhino put up great resistance against the Briscoes but he fell in the end when Jay caught him with a wicked Piledriver to score the pin. It was a good bit of revenge for Dem Boys against the House of Truth but Jay will likely be looking for another shot at Delirious down the road.
7) Joey Ryan defeated ACH: An IWA Contract was at stake in this match for free agent star ACH, the winner of the Rey de Voladores at King of Trios, as he took on the sleazy Joey Ryan based out of Hollywood, CA. Ryan attacked ACH following his recent loss to Chuck Taylor in the IWA J-Crown tournament prompting IWA Commissioner David Marquez to give him this match with Ryan with an IWA contract as the prize. ACH showed he wanted that he contract as he dominated much of the early action hitting such moves as Fatality, Air Jordan and Tiger Mask. Ryan countered with a spear and a spinebuster going for the pin but ACH kicked out with authority. ACH then caught Ryan in the Superhero Grip, a deadlift German Suplex, prompting Ryan to bail out of the ring. ACH followed but Ryan was ready and he dropped him throat first on the guard rail. Back inside it was Ryan executing the Mustache Ride, a swinging neckbreaker from the second rope, for a big near fall before nailing ACH with the Walk-Off, his version of the superkick, to score the pin. The crowd jeered the decision and Ryan rubbed it in by taunting ACH post-match about his failing to win the contract.
8) IWA tag team titles: Osirian Portal© defeated Tursas & Brodie Lee to retain the titles: The main event saw the Osirian Portal (Amasis & Ophidian) put the IWA tag team titles on the line against the devastating team of Tursas & Brodie Lee who were led to the ring by their manager SoCal Val. Ring announcer Gavin Loudspeaker did the honors introducing both teams as IWA Senior Referee Bryce Remsburg held up the title belts. The pre-match ceremonies were then interrupted by the Kings of Wrestling (Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli) who threw down a challenge to the winning team to face them in a championship match on the next IWA card in Manhattan, NY (Card #929). Before things could get out of hand it was IWA Commissioner David Marquez taking control and saying that the Kings of Wrestling could have that opportunity provided they leave ringside and do not interfere in the match. The two had a brief discussion with each other before agreeing to the terms Marquez set forth and they left the ring area. The Portal, meanwhile, had to put their focus back on Tursas and Lee while knowing that surviving those two monsters would lead to another tough showdown with the Kings of Wrestling. SoCal Val, who did not take too kindly to the interruption, briefly discussed strategy with her men hoping that they would bring the gold to her.
Tursas was a dominant force in this match using his sheer size advantage to overpower both Amasis and Ophidian. He crushed Ophidian with the Diving Cross Body at one point resulting in a big near fall. SoCal Val complained to the referee about a slow count as Ophidian barely got his shoulder up. Amasis helped turn things around for the Portal and he scored a near fall on Lee with the Egyptian Conniption. The Portal then used the Snake Charmer on Lee resulting in a brief state of hypnosis and that led to Ophidian trapping him in the Death Grip for a submission chance. Tursas made the save and that allowed Lee a chance to recover and he leveled Ophidian with a package piledriver resulting in a big near fall. Tursas later nailed Amasis with the Kreuz Bomb and followed with a big splash for another near fall. A tumultuous battle came to an end when Lee sent Amasis into the corner and the “Funky Pharaoh” bounced out hitting a Discus Forearm Smash (substitute for running lariat) to score the pin. It was a successful version two defense of the titles for the Osirian Portal who now await a showdown with the Kings of Wrestling.

Congratulations to Osirian Portal on an impressive title defense... Can't wait to see how they fare against the Kings of Wrestling... Should be a solid matchup...
Johnny Gargano makes a superb addition to the battle for the J-Crown... Great win for him over the talented Bobby Fish... Based on the current competition, I'm picking him to go all the way...
Sami Callihan & Willie Mack make a very interesting duo... Hope they have plenty of success in the IWA... Also very cool what you're doing with the Castle Experience... It was a little disappointing to see the Flamboyant One drop to 1-1 on his tour...
Great show from Baltimore... I always look forward to your IWA offerings and this one was definitely no exception... Excellent work!
