What a wild and crazy end to that AWE event and it's cool seeing the hardcore table if you will turned on Brody by Muldoon, plus it was nice to see Fred Curry with a win on the night. That Eleventh LOW Tex-Arkana Television title defense by Roderick Strong is really cool stuff, it'll be fun to see how long he keeps it...

Thanks for the comments AJ, Pariah and Crimson. As for your question Pariah, the current title defense record for the LOW Tex-Arkana Television title is 14 held by the "War King" Eddie Kingston. Ed "Strangler" Lewis has second place with 12 and Roderick Strong sits in third place with 11. It will be interesting to see if Strong can set a new record. That show ending angle was really intense and shows that Bruiser Brody will not go down easy so the match versus Randy Savage in Japan should be a lot of fun to roll out.

Thanks for the comments Joebreakdown and I feel the same about your fed, awesome reading. Next up is action from Pacific Coast Wrestling, I hope you enjoy it...
LOW Pacific Coast Wrestling - Seattle Center Arena - Seattle, WA (Card #947)
1) Konnan & Dewey Robertson defeated P.N. News & Lash Leroux: Exciting tag team action opened things up as “The Rapmaster” P.N. News & “Rajin Cajun” Lash Leroux took on the Sharpe Sports Agency, Inc. team of Konnan & Dewey Robertson who were accompanied by manager-wrestler “Pretty Boy” Larry Sharpe. There has been a lot of tension in SSA, Inc. of late coming from Playboy Buddy Rose and his girlfriend, Sherri Martel, with the latter looking to oust Sharpe and take over things herself. Things looked bad for SSA, Inc. early as both News and Leroux scored near falls on Konnan with a fireman’s carry suplex and a flying bodypress from the top rope, respectively. Robertson helped turn things around as he hit such moves as the flying crossbody and running splash. SSA, Inc. really kicked it into gear late in the bout as Robertson laid out Leroux and tagged in Konnan who locked the Tequila Sunrise on him to score a submission victory. A beaming Sharpe grabbed the mic afterward and said that his SSA, Inc. is never going away.
2) Dupae Rupa defeated Doug Gilbert: It was a rough outing for “Dangerous” Doug Gilbert as he went up against “The Belgian Brawler” Dupae Rupa of LOW All-Star Wrestling. Rupa held control early and roughed up Gilbert with moves like the spinebuster. Gilbert battled back into it and scored with the DDT and sit-out bodyslam. He had Rupa in trouble and went up to the top rope but “The Belgian Brawler” picked him off with a bodyslam. Rupa then hit the Belgian Waffle but Gilbert kicked out just before the three count. The crowd tried to rally Gilbert but he was out of it and Rupa followed up quickly with a Tilt-A-Whirl Backbreaker to score the pin. Gilbert was visibly frustrated following the loss as he kicked at the bottom rope and ignored the fans as he made his way back to the locker room.
3) Texas Hangmen defeated Brian Kendrick & Brad Armstrong: The popular new pairing of Brian Kendrick & Brad Armstrong took on the tough combination of the Texas Hangmen (Killer & Psycho) in a heated match. Both teams had great runs of offense during the bout which also featured plenty of quick tags and serious roughhousing by the Hangmen. Killer and Psycho had no problem using the ropes and their own bullrope for choking attacks against both men. Armstrong had a great showing in this bout keeping the Hangmen off balance with a mix of scientific holds and aerial moves. Kendrick looked to have the match won when he hit Sliced Bread #2 on Killer but he managed to kick out just before the three count. Moments later it was Kendrick executing a rolling front cradle on Killer for what looked to be a sure pin but the referee had his attention diverted by Armstrong trying to cut off a save attempt by Psycho. That allowed Psycho to deliver an Elbowdrop onto the head of Kendrick and he reversed the positions putting Killer on top to score the snake eyes pin. The crowd jeered the decision but the Texas Hangmen proved that they will do whatever it takes to get a win.
4) John Tolos defeated Don Leo Jonathan: The “Mormon Giant” Don Leo Jonathan presented the “Golden Greek” John Tolos with his toughest challenge since Tolos arrived in PCW. Jonathan dominated most of the early action including having the pin after executing the Mormon Swing but Tolos got his foot over the bottom rope to break it up. Tolos fought back using the punishing corkscrew and then nearly won it by count out after sending Jonathan shoulder first into the ring post. Jonathan gamely fought back himself and looked like he might win it but then Tolos struck with his patented Flying Knee Drop to score the pin. It was a huge win for Tolos and a very impressive one as the “Golden Greek” looks ahead to a possible championship opportunity. As for Jonathan there is no doubt that he will look for a rematch with Tolos hoping to avenge his defeat.
5) Playboy Buddy Rose, The Mountie, & Tom Prichard defeated Tommy Gilbert, Larry Hennig, & Curt Hennig: The bad blood running between both sides was clearly evident as Tommy Gilbert, Larry “The Axe” Hennig, & Curt Hennig teamed up to take on Playboy Buddy Rose, The Mountie, & Dr. Tom Prichard. Sherri Martel was at ringside with Rose representing SSA, Inc. which she again referred to as Sherri Sports Agency, Inc. “Pretty Boy” Larry Sharpe, flanked by Konnan and Dewey Robertson, made his way down and got into an argument with her as the match got underway. Rose was distracted by that allowing Gilbert to dominate him in the early going. Sharpe and his men eventually left and Sherri flashed an evil smile in their direction. The Mountie and Prichard, who are not officially members of SSA, Inc. but were recruited by Sherri for this match, both made a good accounting of themselves. Prichard late in the bout showed some great resilience as he kicked out of the pin after a Hennig Plex from Curt. A controversial moment saw Gilbert have The Mountie pinned after a running knee lift but Prichard interfered hitting him with a foreign object. That would lead to the finish as The Mountie brought in his controversial Shock Stick and Sherri distracted the referee. The Hennig’s, meanwhile, were brawling with Rose and Prichard and that allowed The Mountie to use the weapon on Gilbert to score the pin.
The post-match scene was just as wild as the Hennig’s attended to a fallen Gilbert while Sherri and Rose welcomed The Mountie and Prichard into SSA, Inc. Larry Sharpe ran back out and again got into it with Sherri. Rose got in between the two and the situation cooled down for at least a few moments until Doug Gilbert raced down to the ring and jumped The Mountie! Already upset over his earlier loss to Dupae Rupa, Gilbert could not stand by after the Shock Stick attack on his father and he tore into The Mountie with lefts and rights. Prichard then jumped in followed by Rose and Sharpe and attacked Doug until a recovered Tommy and the Hennig’s got involved. It ended up with the family combination of Larry and Curt Hennig and Tommy and Doug Gilbert standing tall as SSA, Inc. bailed out of the ring. Then in an even more shocking moment Sherri decked Sharpe out at ringside and left along with Rose, The Mountie and Prichard leaving many questions to be answered about the true status of SSA, Inc – Is it Sharpe Sports Agency Inc. or Sherri Sports Agency, Inc. and are The Mountie and Prichard officially members of the group?
6) LOW Junior Heavyweight title: Danny Hodge© defeated Red Bastien to retain the title: The LOW Junior Heavyweight title was on the line as five-time champion Danny Hodge defended it against another SSA, Inc. member in Red Bastien. The “Flying Redhead” is himself a three-time holder of the LOW Junior Heavyweight title so Hodge was in for a battle. With “Pretty Boy” Larry Sharpe backstage convalescing it was Bastien being accompanied by his tag team partner Billy Red Lyons. The referee, however, took exception to that and ordered Lyons to return to the back drawing cheers from the crowd. Bastien seemed off his game early as Hodge frustrated him at every turn particularly with some key counters. Bastien eventually turned it around and hit the Atomic Drop covering Hodge for a two count. Bastien complained that it was a three but the match continued. Hodge weathered a nice offensive by Bastien and late in the bout nearly won it by submission with a sleeper hold. Bastien was in a bad way from that and Hodge followed up with the Oklahoma Side Roll to score the pin and retain the title in his version two defense.
7) Jimmy Snuka defeated The Sandman: The brewing rivalry between Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka and The Sandman was featured in a heated semi-final match. Having suffered a previous loss to The Sandman at the hands of his Singapore Cane, Snuka was out to gain some revenge here. After the strains of Enter Sandman by Metallica faded out, The Sandman entered the ring smelling of cigarettes and dripping wet from the contents of several beer cans. Snuka wasted no time in going after him and he began dominating the match both in and out of the ring. It looked to be over when Snuka came off of the top rope with the Superfly but a late cover allowed The Sandman to raise his shoulder at the count of two. It was a shocking moment as very few men have ever kicked out of a pin after taking the Superfly. The Sandman struggled to recover, though, and Snuka kept up a strong offense hitting a powerslam for a near fall followed up by a piledriver. After a battle on the outside, which saw Snuka reverse a Singapore Cane attack, this one came to an end. The Sandman was prone on the mat as Snuka came off of the top rope for a second time with the Superfly to score the pin. The crowd cheered the big win by Snuka who took the measure of his rival on this night.
8) Falls Count Anywhere Match: Dutch Savage & Pepper Gomez defeated The Grappler & Ray Stevens: The main event was expected to be a wild one as Dutch Savage & Pepper Gomez took on The Grappler & Ray “The Crippler” Stevens in a Falls Count Anywhere Match. This rematch from the last PCW card took on added importance as before the match ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta revealed that LOW Commissioner Charlie Cox said that the winning team would face the Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) for the LOW World tag team titles. That match would take place on the next PCW card in Sacramento, CA (Card #955). Both teams were now really geared up for the bout knowing the prize that was at stake. The action took place all over the Seattle Center Arena with all four men trading blows. The crowd was whipped into a frenzy several times as the action spilled over the guard rails and into the seats. It was Savage who proved to be the deciding factor in the match after he scored a near fall on Stevens from a face first whip into a wall. With Gomez and The Grappler battling on another side of the building, and two referees assigned to cover the action, Savage brought Stevens down to the aisle way and nailed him with a more brutal version of the Running Piledriver. Stevens was out cold and Savage covered him to score the pin ending a wild battle. The win means that Savage and Gomez will now have a huge opportunity as they get a shot at the LOW World tag team titles. Stevens received medical attention following the match and fortunately for him he was not diagnosed with any serious injuries.

As always, gotta love it when The Mountie dispenses justice as only he can... Huge win for Sherri's new version of SSA, Inc... Has Larry Sharpe been drummed out of his own agency?
Superfly won an exciting battle over The Sandman... And the main event was a wicked affair... Falls Count Anywhere matches involving tag teams are especially brutal, in my experience... It's crazy enough when you've got two men brawling throughout a venue... But, when you make it four... Holy snap!
Was hoping to see the new pairing of Armstrong & Kendrick start their partnership with a win... But, the Texas Hangmen were just too sneaky... Maybe we'll be treated to a rematch...
Just as we've come to expect, another strong show from this great company... Excellent work!

Those two opening matches had in my view crazy outcomes and I love them. Konnan & Dewey Roberts winning is really cool and Dupea Rupa winning is always a good thing. I think Danny Hodge is the best Junior Champ and having five reigns proves it and it'll be cool if he can have a long run topping his best of 3 total defenses...

Savage and Gomez pick up an impressive win, but they will be cannon fodder for the mighty Road Warriors... always great to see Danny Hodge in action! No finer light heavyweight has ever been.... sad, however, to see Don Leo taste defeat. Congrats on another fine show!

Thanks for the comments Pariah, Crimson. Kat Rana, Joebreakdown and Daytondave. The PCW cards are always fun to roll out and it will be interesting to see how Dutch Savage & Pepper Gomez fare in going for the LOW World tag team titles against the Road Warriors. The SSA, Inc. saga continues and it looks like The Mountie and Tom Prichard have been drawn into it. The Kendrick-Armstrong pairing is one I like and thanks for the team name suggestions. Next up the ladies of SHIMMER bring it as only they can. I hope you enjoy the show...
SHIMMER - Women Athletes - Volume 29 - The Eagles Club - Berwyn, IL (Card #948)
1) Melanie Cruise defeated Su Yung: The powerful Melanie Cruise out of Chicago, IL, took on Seattle, WA, native Su Yung in the opening contest. Yung is a very capable opponent but she had little to no answer for the size advantage enjoyed by Cruise. A notable spot early saw Cruise counter a sunset flip attempt with a legdrop for a big near fall. She also spiked Yung with a Tombstone Piledriver before hitting Melanie’s Spine Splitter, a standing thrust spinebuster, to score the pin. Amber Gertner interviewed Cruise at ringside after the match and Cruise issued a challenge to Crazy Mary Dobson which was accepted for Volume 30.
2) Athena defeated Veda Scott: The “Wrestling Goddess” Athena took on the challenge of Veda Scott in singles action. Scott has been looking better of late and it seems like a breakthrough win is only a matter of time for her. She was outstanding in this match including twice surviving the O-Face, the first time kicking out just before three and the second time by putting her foot over the bottom rope. She also delivered the Q.E.D. but Athena kicked out with authority. Scott tried to bail out of the ring late but Athena fired her back in and hit a third O-Face to score the pin.
3) Made In Sin defeated Cherry Bomb & Evie: The talented and popular pairing of Cherry Bomb & Evie took on Made In Sin (Allysin Kay & Taylor Made) in a special challenge match. Made In Sin recently made their debut in SHIMMER and have been extremely impressive thus far. Cherry Bomb and Evie have also been impressive in their tag team outings and they put forth a great battle in this match. Cherry Bomb was dominant early and laid out Kay with Death From Below setting up a top rope double stomp by Evie for a big near fall. The battled continued at a furious pace with Made In Sin making a nice comeback. Taylor Made scored a near fall on Evie at one point with a spinning neckbreaker. Evie then struck back with the TTYL on Made but Kay made a timely save. The finishing sequence saw Made In Sin lay out Cherry Bomb with Eighth Deadly Sin, which is a wheelbarrow and cutter combination, but she kicked out just before the three count. The crowd cheered that but then Made In Sin hit the move again with Kay scoring the pin on Cherry Bomb as Made prevented Evie from making a save.
4) Candice LeRae defeated Madison Rayne: Two talented newcomers to SHIMMER squared off here as Candice LeRae out of Anaheim, CA, took on Madison Rayne from Seattle, WA. The two women teamed up in trios action at Volume 28 but this time they tested their skills against each other. The early action switched back and forth before Rayne countered a DDT with a nice Northern Lights Suplex. She followed that up with the Rayne Drop and a diving spear. Rayne looked to have things under control until taking it outside where LeRae began mounting a comeback. LeRae then took to the air striking with a succession of missile dropkicks along with a flying bodypress from the top rope for a near fall. It was LeRae going back up top to win it when she landed a beautiful Moonsault on Rayne to score the pin. The two women had a brief stare down post-match before Rayne extended her hand and LeRae accepted it shaking hands to a big cheer from the crowd.
5) Jessicka Havok & Vanessa Kraven defeated Cheerleader Melissa & Sara Del Ray by DQ: A big grudge tag team match saw former SHIMMER tag team champions Cheerleader Melissa & Sara Del Ray take on the formidable combination of Jessicka Havok & Vanessa Kraven. Known as the “Havok Death Machine” and “The Mountain”, respectively, Havok and Kraven were teaming up for the first time. The early action saw some heated exchanges between Melissa and Havok including Havok kicking out at two after taking the Kudoh Driver. Del Ray got in against Kraven and nearly put her away with the Royal Butterfly in an impressive display. Kraven struck back hard, though, and hit the Death Valley Driver on Melissa for a two count. Havok then laid out Melissa with the Havokiller but Del Ray made the save. Both teams fought out to the floor a number of times with Melissa proving to be very aggressive much like in her singles match against Havok at Volume 28. Melissa again lost her cool and drew a snake eyes disqualification for repeated chair shots to the back of Kraven. Havok then jumped Melissa from behind but Del Ray joined in setting off a wild post-match brawl. The SHIMMER officials had a heck of a time trying to get the two teams separated post-match but when the smoke cleared promoter Dave Prazak had a big announcement to make. Prazak said that something needed to be done to settle this and he announced that the main event at Volume 30 will be a Falls Count Anywhere Match between the two teams drawing a big pop from the crowd.
6) Madison Eagles, Lufisto, & Barbi Hayden defeated Saraya Knight, Rhia O’Reilly, & Angelus Layne by DQ: Trios action saw Madison Eagles, Lufisto, & Barbi Hayden joining forces to take on Saraya Knight, Rhia O’Reilly, & Angelus Layne. Knight led her team in an all out assault on Eagles for much of the early going as they got the heat on her. Knight nearly pinned her after a DDT and then Lufisto prevented a pin after Layne struck with Victory Layne. Eagles finally struck back blasting O’Reilly with a counter clothesline out of the corner and made the tag to Lufisto. The former SHIMMER champion looked great during her time in but an attempt at a backslide was countered by O’Reilly with a T-Bone Suplex for a big near fall. Hayden also looked impressive going against her longtime rival Layne with the two having a fierce battle on the outside. Things got out of control in the end and it was O’Reilly getting her team disqualified when she decked the referee while trying to get at Hayden on the floor.
7) SHIMMER tag team titles: Sassy Stephie & Nevaeh defeated Canadian Ninjas© by DQ: The SHIMMER tag team titles were at stake in the semi-final as the S-N-S Express of Sassy Stephie & Nevaeh challenged the Canadian Ninjas (Portia Perez & Nicole Matthews) for the gold. The crowd was split fifty-fifty in their support of both rulebreaking teams. The Ninjas are three-time champions and most felt that they had the edge going in but Stephie and Nevaeh proved them wrong. The S-N-S Express dominated most of the match in particular by keeping Matthews in the ring preventing her from tagging out to Perez. Stephie laid out Matthews with Kiss My Sass and went for the pin but Perez made a last second save. Matthews made a brief comeback hitting the Vancouver Maneuver on Stephie but she kicked out with authority. The finish saw Nevaeh grab a weakened Matthews and deliver the Backpack Stunner for what looked to be a sure pin but Perez made the save. Perez then ran across the ring and decked Stephie knocking her off of the apron to the floor. That left Nevaeh in a two-on-one situation and the Ninjas assaulted her with a double-team attack including hitting the Funky Cold Medina. The referee called for the bell and disqualified the Ninjas for excessive double-teaming which allowed them to retain the titles. Perez gathered up Matthews and smirked at the S-N-S Express but then SHIMMER promoter Dave Prazak got involved. He said that he was tired of the three straight disqualification decisions, especially one in a championship match, and ordered the Ninjas to face Stephie and Nevaeh in a No DQ rematch for the titles at Volume 30. Perez threw a tantrum over that announcement but Prazak said the match is official.
8) SHIMMER title: Courtney Rush© defeated Mercedes Martinez to retain the title: The main event saw Courtney Rush make her version one defense of the SHIMMER title against the very formidable Mercedes Martinez. The “Latina Sensation” is a former two-time champion and she was determined to take the title from Rush. The equally determined Rush was also bound not to be a one and done champion and she came out of the gate smoking. Martinez was on the defensive from the opening bell and Rush even managed to hit the Olympic Slam for a big near fall. Martinez tried to take it out to the floor where she usually excels but Rush put up a fight there as well. The crowd was solidly behind Rush who many viewed as the underdog going up against Martinez. Rush had a lot to prove and she did just that leveling Martinez with the T-Bone Suplex and butterfly suplex at various points of the match. It built up to a great finish as Rush thwarted an offensive by Martinez and hit the Top Rope Crossbody to score the pin and retain the title. The crowd erupted in cheers as Rush defied the odds and retained the title. Martinez was bitter over the loss but showed class by shaking hands with the champion post-match.
