Cornete's the man, isn't he?!I can't believe he survived the onslaught, but perhaps he really owes the Roadies a thank you. Once again Bobby Eaton shows why he is so highly regarded. Fab win for Tommy Rich against DiBiase- the highlight of the show for me for sure (apart from seeing P.N News pick up a win....urgh!) Bit iffy, the AJ Styles victory. Brazil gave a a good account and agree with Pariah, he deserves a rematch. I just can't get used to seeing the strap on Styles!
Another hot show, thanks!

Thanks for the comments Crimson, AJ, Troy, Bookerbill, Pariah and Joebreakdown. It is greatly appreciated. Here is the peek behind the curtain for the tag title match: I had Ted Dibiase pull Virgil based on his loss to Tommy Rich figuring Dibiase was pissed at losing without his bodyguard being able to assist him so he took it out on Cornette. Bobby Eaton did indeed do 90% of the work. Gordy had Cornette pinned but amazingly he rolled just over his pin and survived hence the idea that Gordy pulled him up. After Corny got tossed outside he managed a snake eyes roll and that was how I figured out the powder and Road Warriors interference as the tag to Eaton led to the pin on Dr. Death moments later. I'm still shocked that Cornette survived that. I think he is going to be insufferable now. For the record, Corny has a 3-5 record in my fed. His other two wins I will have to research but it is shocking that he is close to .500. Blackjack Mulligan has a long way to go to catch Roderick Strong but he has had a great run with the belt so far. Chris Sabin vs. Sabu was the show stealer for me. Just incredible and it might turn into a rivalry. I was disappointed with the shortness of the main event but it worked out good with AJ Styles surviving his first title defense. Pariah, that is a good call as perhaps that is the way to keep Andre out of the title picture based on his actions. I will have to consult with LOW Commissioner Charlie Cox on that one Next up will be the return of Golden Age Wrestling featuring the GAW debut of Nick Bockwinkel in a PWI Cup Tournament rematch against William Muldoon plus the dream team of Lou Thesz, Frank Gotch and Jim Londos take on Buddy Rogers & Fabulous Kangaroos in the main event. I hope to have that show posted soon.

Golden Age Wrestling! Can't wait. Nick Bockwinkel vs William Muldoon should be great. What a debut for Bockwinkel - that match is sure to be pure class (as is everything he does). That's a stacked main event too. It will be fun to see if the famous enmity between Lou Thesz and Buddy Rogers has any influence on the match...

Thanks for the comments Crimson, Bookerbill, Pariah and Aceldamas. It looks like everyone would like to see Dutch Savage get another crack at The Sheik and I like the idea of a Coal Miners Glove match. I will have to see if I can work that out. Pariah, that was brutal. You are actually wishing a Shock Stick attack on Chaz Taylor? Man your support of The Mountie goes right to the extreme but I have to say I love it lol. Crimson, I use the black and white Johnny Saint card exclusively as the color one represents him at an advanced age and it really doesn't do him justice. Saint and Sabre Jr. just didn't have it on this night and Da Hit Squad got the win. The b&w Saint has actually performed very well for me including having several junior heavyweight title reigns. Sabre Jr., on the other hand, has unfortunately underperformed for me. Hopefully Saint and Sabre Jr. can start turning it around in the RWTL. Just catching up on my reading. Zack Sabre Jr consistently underperforms for me. He only wins when I don't want him to.

It won't be long now, Kat Rana, I should have the Golden Age Wrestling show posted sometime this weekend. Thanks for the comments and also to Gunslinger and Troy for bringing up Zack Sabre Jr. I really wanted him to be the star of my World of Sport fed but thus far he has been very average and his win-loss record is under .500 so hopefully he can get on a roll soon.

8) Lou Thesz, Frank Gotch & Jim Londos defeated “Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers & Fabulous Kangaroos (Al Costello & Roy Heffernan, with Wild Red Berry) (Londos over Rogers by submission – Boston Crab)
Match Highlights: The first Golden Age Wrestling card of the year featured the debut of two-time LOW World Heavyweight champion Nick Bockwinkel with the promotion. Bockwinkel requested that his debut match be against “The Solid Man” William Muldoon, the man that defeated him in quick fashion during the PWI Invitational Cup Tournament. The loss has haunted Bockwinkel and he was looking to avenge it at the Sam Houston Coliseum. Bockwinkel surprised everyone by coming to the ring accompanied by his new manager Sir Oliver Humperdink who was last seen running the House of Humperdink in Pacific Coast Wrestling. Humperdink proved to be a difference maker and, in fact, another surprise was unveiled during the match. Muldoon and Bockwinkel tore it up with both men coming close to victory. Humperdink prevented a three count after the Body Lift and Throw late drawing the ire of Muldoon. A brief time later, with Humperdink distracting the referee, Ray “The Crippler” Stevens ran out to ringside and slammed a chair into the rib cage of Muldoon. Bockwinkel took full advantage of that and trapped Muldoon in an Abdominal Stretch which led him to a submission victory. Stevens, who was managed by Humperdink in PCW, reunited with his longtime partner Bockwinkel and Muldoon found out just how dangerous the two can be. The guidance of Humperdink will only add to what Bockwinkel and Stevens bring to the table when they are aligned as a team.
The main event six-man tag team match with the dream team of Lou Thesz, Frank Gotch and Jim Londos facing “Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers and the Fabulous Kangaroos (Al Costello & Roy Heffernan) did not disappoint. From bell to bell both sides put on a spectacular match with some amazing sequences, one of which saw Thesz counter a Kangaroo Kick by Heffernan and hit the Greco-Roman Backdrop for a two count. The Kangaroos, who had their manager Wild Red Berry at ringside, worked well with Rogers until some miscommunication late in the match. The Kangaroos tried to save Rogers from a pin attempt by Thesz but that backfired. Thesz followed with the Greco-Roman Backdrop for a big near fall which also set up Londos for the finish. Londos trapped Rogers in the Boson Crab in mid-ring and he was forced to concede as Thesz and Gotch drove the Kangaroos out of the ring. Rogers got into a verbal spat with the Kangaroos and Berry post-match before walking off in disgust.
The Crusher and Wild Bull Curry waged war like only they can, battling in and out of the ring throughout a heated contest. Chairs, tables and foreign objects were all used as the referee struggled to keep order. The Crusher hit the Bolo Punch late but somehow Curry got his foot on the bottom rope to prevent a pin. Back on the outside the referee tried to get them to get back into the ring but Curry grabbed the official and headbutted him several times resulting in the disqualification decision. Both men had to be pulled apart by LOW officials afterward as the referee was helped to the back…Mike Graham was hoping to have a nice debut in GAW but he found himself opposite Gorgeous George and his valet Cherie Dupre. It was interference by Dupre late that led to George getting the win…Iron Mike Dibiase & Bob Orton Sr. spoiled the official debut of The Sicilians (Lou Albano & Ilio DiPaolo), though Albano surprised the fans with his toughness and resilience before being pinned by Dibiase.
The ongoing KRU Real World Tag League tournament continued with both A Block and B Block matches. Giant Baba & The Destroyer claimed sole possession of first place in the A Block and remain undefeated at 3-0 by beating Nikolai Volkoff & Boris Zhukov. The Russian duo gave the KRU stars all that they could handle in a hard-fought bout that really could have gone either way. GAW favorites the Flying Redheads (Red Bastien & Billy Red Lyons) thrilled the home crowd by beating the obnoxious Bullet Club members the Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) and setting up a three-way tie in the B Block. The finish of a wild bout saw Matt trying to save Nick with a superkick but he hit him instead allowing Lyons to sink in a Sleeper Hold for a submission win. Real World Tag League action will continue on the next edition of LOW All-Star Wrestling (Card #1121) with Antonio Inoki & Tiger Mask taking on Devastation Corporation in B Block action.
