This is the second of my NWA territories. ECW will be the third one that will start next week. The plan is to go with those three for now and add in Mid-South and PNW later next year. Probably after the wedding.
Mid-Atlantic will be different than the other territories in that they will have more titles than usual. The other promotions have three belts while Mid-Atlantic has five. They've absorbed the United States singles and tag belts from when the NWA was one big promotion. Those champs will be treated like national champs on the show but you won't see them defend the belts outside of Mid-Atlantic.
Roster wise you'll see the World Champs hanging around in Mid-Atlantic a lot. The World Tag Team Titles might end up just being a Mid-Atlantic belt after awhile. This fed focuses on wrestlers from the 70s and 80s. You'll see main eventers and mid-carders with some lower end guys here. I'll try to keep the very modern guys out as much as I can.
The main television show will be Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling and it will air on Saturdays. So enjoy.

Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling #1: 12/19/2009
from Raleigh, NC
Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Harley Race comes out for an interview with Bob Caudle. Race talks about how the Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Title is the most prestigious championship belt you can win other than the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. He plans to defend this belt against anyone who thinks they stand a chance against them. He eagerly awaits his first challenger.
Ivan Koloff and Ray Stevens d. Jim and Mac Jeffers when Koloff submits Mac with the RUSSIAN BEAR HUG Koloff and Stevens looked good for being a first time team. Stevens hit a piledriver on Mac and Koloff hit a top rope knee drop and then locked on the Russian Bear Hug to get the win.
Bob Caudle stops Ivan Koloff and Ray Stevens as they head to the back. He demands to know why Ray Stevens is teaming up with the Russians and being so buddy buddy. Stevens says that he's going where the chance for success is. Ivan Koloff is a proven winner in singes and tag team competition. As a team they could go anywhere. They might win the Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Titles or they might challenge the Hennigs or Killer Bees for their title belts. The sky's the limit for them as a tag team.
the Boogie Woogie Man Jimmy Valiant submits Rocky King with the SLEEPER King put up quite a fight in this match. He caught Valiant with a dropkick and then a clothesline. King came off the top rope and almost pinned Valiant with a cross body block. Valiant powered out of a suplex attempt and took King down with some roundhouse rights. Valiant hit a neckbreaker and then locked on the Sleeper to pick up the win.
NWA United States Champion Ed "Strangler" Lewis is out for an interview. Due to contracts he no longer has Rob Van Dam as his next opponent at Starcade. Lewis takes the moment to issue an open challenge to anyone out there for a title match. Just then Magnum TA walks onto the set. TA says that he'll gladly accept a title match with Lewis. Lewis scoffs at this suggestion. He tells Magnum TA to win some matches and then they'll talk. Lewis gives TA a friendly tap to the face. TA grabs Lewis and clocks him with a big right hand. TA drags Lewis to the ring and rolls him inside. TA tosses Lewis to the ropes and catches him with the Belly to Belly Suplex. TA grabs the United States Championship belt and walks to the backstage area.
One Man Gang pins George South with the 747 SPLASH South caught OMG with an elbow drop and cross body block quickly into the match. OMG gained control in the corner and hit a big right hand. The 747 Splash finished it for OMG.
Bob Orton Jr. is out for an interview with Bob Caudle. Tonight is a big night for Orton. He's going to challenge Antonio Inoki for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. He's going to bring the championship back to the United States. He's going to live up to his nickname of Ace.
Bobo Brazil pins the Italian Stallion with the COCO BUTT Brazil made really short work of the Stallion in this match. The Bobo Body Slam followed by the Coco Butt finished the match for Brazil.
Billy Gunn and Road Dogg come out for an interview. Road Dogg reminds the Hennigs that they dominated their match back in November. They shouldn't get so cocky about their six months as the NWA Tag Team Champions. At Starcade the New Age Outlaws are going to win the belts.
Main Event: NWA World Heavyweight Title Match: Antonio Inoki (c) submits Bob Orton Jr. with the OCTOPUS HOLD Orton almost stole a pinfall early on with a middle rope splash. Orton pounded on Inoki on the outside. Back in the ring Orton hit a piledriver for a two count. Orton went to the top rope but Inoki dodged. Inoki jumped to the top rope and caught Orton with a top rope knee drop. Inoki applied the Octopus Hold and Orton was forced to tap out.
Bob Caudle reminds everyone that Antonio Inoki will be defending the NWA World Heavyweight Championship against Giant Baba at the Starcade PPV that's coming up soon.
Next week:
The Valiants take on the Midnight Express in the main event. Also in action will be the Road Warriors, Magnum TA, Bob Armstrong and the Iron Sheik.

TA caught him with an arm drag and then ran him over with a running forearm. TA caught Lewis with the Belly to Belly Suplex and won the title in his debut match for Mid-Atlantic. 1/2*. It was a really quick match. It was more about TA just running over Ed Lewis than anything else.
NWA World Tag Team Title Match: New Age Outlaws d. the Hennigs (c) when Road Dogg pins Larry with the PUMP HANDLE SLAM The NAO just had the Hennigs number in this match. Dogg caught Larry with Shake, Rattle and Roll Knee Drop. Dogg tossed him to the outside and punished him on the outside with some big fists to the face. NWA World Heavyweight Title Match: Giant Baba pins Antonio Inoki (c) with the NECKBREAKER DROP Inoki used his superior agility to escape a snap mare. Inoki used several karate kicks to the leg to keep Baba off balance. Inoki got Baba down with a cobra twist. Inoki tossed Baba into the corner but then fell to the outside after missing a charge. Baba took over and tossed Inoki back into the ring. Baba hit a boot to the face and then a Russian legsweep. Baba caught Inoki with the Neckbreaker Drop and got the pinfall.
