Card #5-Monday Night Mayhem 1/18/10 Live from the Boston Garden in Boston, MA
It's the last Monday Night Mayhem before the first ever PWS pay per view! What is in store tonight? The PWS World Heavyweight Champion, Killer Kowalski, will be in action, as well as his challenger for this coming sunday's match, Nick Bockwinkel. Will have more match annoucements for the pay per view? Let's get to the action.
The Destroyer beat Bryan Danielson with the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK, in an excellent opener. Match Note: This was a great wrestling match to open the show. Bryan Danielson had a great showing, proving he could hang with the veteran, and very nearly pulled out the win a couple times. Danielson even managed to escape the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK twice, but he would ultimately fell to the hold, after THe Destroyer applied it a third time. After the match, The Destroyer actually shook Danielson's hand. The Destroyer has a big man this sunday, against Buddy Rogers. Buddy Rogers actually came out during the match, and observed the action, but did not get involved. Before he left, he got a little smirk on his face, and then turned and left before the match was over.
Harley Race beat Maurice Tillet with a diving headbutt Match Note: Before the match, Commissioner Bill Watts came out, and said he was going to suspend Tillet for his actions last week, where he injured the North American Champ, Masked Superstar II. But he said the Masked Superstar called up Watts, and told him not to suspend Tillet, because Superstar said injured or not, he will get his own payback on Tillet. Watts announced Superstar would put the North American Title on the line against Tillet at the pay per view! Watts stated he advised against it, but Superstar would not forfeit hte title, and promised he would have his revenge on Tillet. Tillet could do nothing but just flash an evil smile. Tillet then went on to lose to Race. This was a big win for Race, who has been making a case lately to break into the top 10. Losing before a big pay per view title match can't bode well for Tillet.
Ox Baker beat Hillbilly Jim with a shoulderbreaker Match Note: Ox won this won quickly and easily.
Terry Gordy beat George Steele with the PILEDRIVER Match Note: Despite Steele rippinng open the turnbuckle, and rubbing it in the face of Gordy, Gordy put away Steele for an important win for Gordy.
Jimmy Snuka beat King Kong Bundy with the SUPERFLY LEAP Match Note: Bundy got in little offense. Snuka's agility was too much for the much bigger Bundy. Once Snuka got Bundy flat on his back, Snuka didn't hesitate to end it with the SUPERFLY LEAP. Iron Shiek came out after the match, but there was confrontation. Shiek came out, and pointed at Snuka, and then made a throat slitting motion, and waved around his Iranian flag. Instead of attacking, Snuka could only stare on in anger. Snuka will have his shot at Shiek this sunday, when Iron Shiek and Snuka will meet in a First Blood match at New Year's Revolution.
Ted DiBiase beat John Pesek with a backward elbow off the ropes Match Note: Solid match. DiBiase was able to lock on the MILLION DOLLAR SLEEPER earlier, but the Pesek is too tough to go down that quickly, and came back to make it an even match. DiBiase comes away with the win, and he needed the win to help him try and keep his top 5 spot in the rankings.
Brian Kendrick and Paul London beat The Eliminators, after the SLICED BREAD #2 on Kronus. Match Note: This was a good win for the team of London and Kendrick, beating a very good and very tough team. After the match, it was obvious that The Eliminators were very frustated over another loss, as they viciously attacked London and Kendrick. Kronus dumped London to the floor, and beat on him, while Saturn dropped three big knee drops on Kendrick, from the top rope, injuring Kendrick's ribs. Reports are that Kendrick suffered a couple broken ribs, but he insisted on wrestling at the pay per view, and he will get a one on one match with Saturn. As well as London taking on Kronus.
Dynamite Kid beat Bret Hart with a DIVING HEADBUTT Match Note: Last week, The British Bulldogs scored a huge non-title match win over PWS World Tag Team Champs, the Hart Foundation, which earned them an immediate title shot at New Year's Revolution. This week, both teams meet in singles action, as they head into that big pay per view match this sunday. Dynamite Kid outwrestled Hart, and landed his big DIVING HEADBUTT for the win. The Hart Foundation can't have a lot of confidence heading into this the title match sunday.
Jim Niedhart beat British Bulldog after a sunset flip Match Note: After the Hart Foundation losing last week to the Bulldogs, and then the Dynamite Kid beating Hart in the previous match. Hart Foundation couldn't have a little of confidence about the title match sunday. Niedhart restored a little confidence in this battle of the powerhouses, beating Davey Boy with a sunset flip. Smith controlled the match, but Niedhart caught Davey Boy making a mistake, and ducking his head to early for a back body drop, and Niedhart took advantage to get the win. This sunday's title match should be a good one, and going in, the British Bulldogs look like the favorites to walk out as new tag team champions!
Buddy Rogers beat Iron Shiek with a FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE Match Note: Before the match, Rogers got on the mic, and put down his opponent for this sunday. He said after watching The Destroyer have trouble with a 15 year old, referring to Danielson, Rogers said Watts should just give him the win now. Rogers should have been more concerned with his opponent in this match, the Iron Shiek. Iron Shiek gave Rogers a run for his money, and the fans were treated to an excellent wrestling match. Rogers needed his win to legitamize what he has been saying about deserving a title shot, and he got the win.
Road Warriors beat The Bolsheviks with the DOOMSDAY DEVICE on Boris Match Note: The Bolsheviks briefly had control, as they took turns trying to wear down Hawk. Hawk was finally able to make a tag, and Animal came in and started cleaning house, and The Road Warriors went on to get the win. Hawk got on the mic after the match, and told the Valentines that come sunday, there would be no more running and hiding, that the Valentines would have to finally face them one on one! Hawk said WHAT A RUSSSHHHH it will be when they give the Valentines what they have coming to them. While Hawk was talking, The Valentines came through the crowd, and sneak attacked the Road Warriors! But that only angered the Road Warriors more, and they cleaned house of the Valentines, much to the delight of the fans.
Frank Gotch beat Roadkill with the Iowa Backdrop Match Note: This match was really no contest for Gotch. Roadkill hit a couple big power moves, but Gotch dominated.
Nigel McGuiness beat Rob Van Dam by DQ. Match Note: Once again, a match involving RVD, that had potential to be a classic, was ruined by a DQ finish. The match was excellent up to the point of DQ. At one point, McGuiness used both of his finishers, and still couldn't put RVD away. As the match went on, things got heated between the two, and when the action spilled to the floor, RVD saw an opporunity, and drilled Nigel with the Van Daminator! Just one problem, the ref caught him, and called for the DQ. Commissioner Bill Watts later made a rematch between the two for New Year's Revolution, in a Hardcore Match!
Nick Bockwinkel beat Bobo Brazil with the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK Match Note: Bockwinkel has been on a roll the last few weeks, and he needed to keep that momentum heading into this sundays big World Title Match. Bobo Brazil posed a heck of a challenge to that momentum, but Tricky Nick outlasted Bobo in a very good match. After the match, Bockwinkel began making belt motions around his waist, sending a message to Killer Kowalski about the outcome of the title match at New Year's Revolution.
Main Event-Non-Title Match-PWS World Champion, Killer Kowalski, beat Al Snow with the CLAW HOLD Match Note: Bill Alfonso refereed this match, and once again, we got a little controversy. But before the mach, Alfonso got on the mic, and said he heard Bobo was looking for him last week. Alfonso warned Bobo that Bobo should keep his hands off Alfonso, but Fonzie has backup now. Fonzie didn't go on to state who that backup wsa. Al Snow took this main event opportunity to show what he could do, and really gave the champ a match he wasn't expecting. But it was painfully obvious that Alfonso was on the champs side through the match, with his slow counts and constantly admonishing Snow for no good reason. Snow seemingly had Kowalski pinned at one point with the SNOW PLOW, but a slow count angered Snow, who began arguing with Kowalski, instead of going in for the kill. That gave Kowalski enough of an opening to catch his breath, and come back for the win. After the match, Bobo made his way down, before Fonzie could get out of there. Fonzie had a look of terror on his face, as Bobo climbed in the ring. But that look turned into a smile, when John Pesek came running from the back, and attacked Bobo from behind!! THe show ended with Magnum TA coming out to save Bobo from Pesek's TIGER MAN TOEHOLD, that he had locked on Brazil.

Thanks for the comments. Yeah my cards tend to have a lot of matches. I'm following along the lines of Havoc's booking. Ranked wrestlers and tag teams must always wrestle, unless it makes sense to not have them wrestle. So card lengths vary. But I am really enjoying playing this fed. Can't wait to play out the ppv.

Card #6-New Year's Revolution Live on Pay Per View from the Meadowlands Arena in East Rutherford, NJ
The pryo explodes through the arena, and the place is buzzing in preparations for the first ever PWS pay per view! All of the titles will be on the line tonight, plus we get a First Blood Match and a Hardcore Match! Let's get to the action!
John Pesek beat Giant Baba with the DOUBLE WRISTLOCK Match Note: John Pesek really thrust himself into the spotlight on Mayhem. Referee Bill Alfonso cut a promo on Mayhem, warning Bobo Brazil to not come after him, because Fonzie said he had backup now. Fonzie refereed the main event, and after that match, Bobo Brazil came out to confront Alfonso, but not long after, out came Pesek. Pesek attacked Brazil, and put him in the TIGRE MAN TOEHOLD, unitl Magnum TA came out to break things up. It became more apparent tonight that Pesek was now aligned with Alfonso, as Alfonso came out with Pesek for this match. This was a good opening match, in which Pesek won, and did it without any help from Fonzie.
The Valiants beat the Love Brothers, after the SUPER ELBOW on Hartford. Match Note: The Valiants took the easy win, and the Love Brothers continue their losing ways.
Ox Baker beat George Steele with a clothesline Match Note: Not match to note here. Quick and easy win for Baker.
Frank Gotch beat Ted DiBiase with the GOTCH TOEHOLD Match Note: This was an instant classic, and definitely the best match so far in the short history of the PWS, and that was despite Bill Alfonso as the referee. Before the match, cameras caught DiBiase slipping Alfonso money, so needless to say, Alfonso was on DiBiase's side throughout the match. But that didn't phase the tough as nails Gotch, and he kept fighting, and we got a fantastic good ole wrestling match. Alfonso tried his best to aid DiBiase in getting the win, but in the end, Fonzie had no choice but to call for the bell when DiBiase submitted to the GOTCH TOEHOLD. The fans were chanting Gotch's name loudly after the match. DiBiase, unhappy over the loss, demanded his money back from Alfonso. With the roll Gotch has been on, this win should help catapult him to a top spot in the rankings.
Brian Kendrick(inj.) beat Perry Saturn with the SLICED BREAD #2 Match Note: This past monday on Mayhem, after losing to the duo of London and Kendrick, The Eliminators viciously attacked London and Kendrick. Saturn broke a couple of Kendrick's ribs, after delivering multiple knee drops from the top on Kendrick. Despite the injury, Kendrick wanted a little payback, and with ribs taped up, he valiantly fought through the pain, to beat Saturn. The fans gave Kendrick a nice ovation for his courageous effort. Saturn, disgusted with this, attacked Kendrick again, and delivered a Death Valley Driver on Kendrick! THe fans booed emphatically. London ran out, but the damage was already done. Kendrick is expected to take the next few weeks off.
Paul London beat John Kronus with the 450 SPLASH Match Note: After what happened after the previous match, involving his tag partner Brian Kendrick, London came out looking furious, and more determined than ever for this match. And despite Kronus throwing everything he could at London, London took the victory. After the match, Saturn came back out, and The Eliminators double teamed London. Just when it seemed like The Eliminators were going to try and put London out of action, the fans cheered as Red Bastien came out to help London! Bastien was ready for a fight, and The Eliminators weren't expecting it, as Bastien was holding his own, until London finally recovered, and the two fan favorites cleared the ring of The Eliminators! London and Bastien shook hands, as the fans cheered loudly.
Bobo Brazil beat Magnum TA with the COCO BUTT Match Note: This is the third meeting between these two. Magnum won the first two, but the first meeting was tainted because of the refereeing of Bill Alfonso. After their last match, Magnum asked Bobo if he wanted to do this one more time, thus setting up this match, between two of the most popular stars of the PWS. Early on, it looked like maybe Bobo was feeling the effects of attack from John Pesek on Mayhem, but he soon rebouded to get the victory. Both men shook hands after the match. John Pesek and Bill Alfonso made their way out, and the taunted Bobo, and Pesek acted like he was reday for a fight.. Bobo and Magnum signaled for the two men to come into the ring for a fight, but neither man entered.
Road Warriors beat the Valentines by DQ Match Note: This was a much anticipated match, and was expected to a knockdown, drag out brawl, thanks to the recent confrontations between the two teams. As recent as this Monday on Mayhem, The Valentines tried to sneak attack the Road Warriors, but that backfired on them. Finally, we got no sneak attacks, just a straight up, two on two match, and the Valentines got off to a good start, and held their own with the mighty Road Warriors. Johnny Valentine hit a second ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER on Animal, and Hawk came in to break up the count, and Greg Valentine came in to counter. At that point ,the match broke down into a wild brawl, which saw The Valentines get DQ’ed, after Greg took a chair to the skull of Hawk. He then took a shot to the back of Animal, and then planted it across Animal’s head, putting him down. The Valentines stood over the Road Warriors with their hands raised, as the fans boo unmercifully. Needless to say, we haven’t seen the last of these two teams.
Buddy Rogers beat The Destroyer with dropkicks Match Note: A few weeks ago, Rogers went to Watts, and demanded that he should be getting title shots, but Watts told Rogers he has to prove himself first, because Rogers isn't ranked, and Watts set up this match between Rogers and The Destroyer, who is #4 in the top ten rankings. This was a big match for both, because both have been on a roll the last few weeks. The Destroyer had his moments, but this match belonged to Rogers. Rogers was on his game, and controlled most of the match, though he did use a few dirty tricks here and there, and got the victory. After the match, Rogers got on the mic, and told Commissioner Watts, that Watts couldn't deny him now, and that he would soon be wearing gold.
Hardcore Match Rob Van Dam beat Nigel McGuiness with a sunset flip Match Note: The first meeting between these two ended in a DQ loss for RVD, after using the Van Daminator, when the two got into a brawl on the floor. Things got heated as that match went on, and Watts so an opportunity for a good rematch, and set up this match. Early on, Nigel tried to outwrestle RVD, later he realize he was going to have to try and out hardcore RVD, which isn't easy to do. McGuiness held his own for a bit, showing he can do hardcore too, but after hitting a couple leg drops on McGuiness through a table on the floor, RVD started to show no one can do hardcore in the PWS better than him. McGuiness briefly looked like he might come back for the win, after using the LONDON DUNGEON and JAWBREAKER LARIAT, but he made a simple mistake, which led to RVD getting the pin with a sunset flip. After the match, RVD was celebrating his win, and McGuiness deliver a vicious elbow to the back of the head of RVD, laying him out.
First Blood Match Iron Shiek beat Jimmy Snuka Match Note: There is a lot of hatred between these two men coming into this match, stemming from recent incidents, including Iron Shiek throwing a fireball into Snuka's face. Both men beat the hell out of each other in this war, using ever weapon they could get their hands on to bust the other one open. After a long, grueling battle, Iron Shiek ended it, after a vicious loaded boot to the head of Snuka busted him open. After the match, Snuka sat in the corner, head dripping in blood, while Iron Shiek burned the American flag!! Fans were outraged, and throwing things at Iron Shiek. Snuka tried to get up to go after Shiek, but blood in his face kept hindering his view. Snuka walked back up the isle, cursing and spitting at fans, and waving his Iranian flag. A ref finally got Snuka a towel, and wiped off his face, and to say he had a look of anger on his face is an understatement. Iron Shiek hasn't won this war with Snuka yet!
PWS North American Championship Maurice Tillet beat Masked Superstar II with the BEAR HUG to become the new PWS North American Champion! Match Note: Just a couple weeks ago, Tillet injured Superstar by slamming him through a table, and injuring Superstar's back. Commissioner Watts was going to suspend Tillet, instead Superstar said he would get his own payback, and wrestle Tillet tonight, even putting the title on the line. Though it was a gutsy move by Superstar, it wasn't a smart move, as Superstar wasn't himself. Tillet took advantage, softening up Superstar's back, before locking on the BEAR HUG! Superstar tried his best to withstand the hold, but he was in too much pain, and submitted. Maurice Tillet becomes the new PWS North American Champion! Fans were definitely not happy with the outcome, and let Tillet know it. Superstar is expected to take the next month off and recover. He has vowed he will come back, and get his title back, and revenge on Tillet!
PWS World Tag Team Championship Hart Foundation beat British Bulldogs with the HART ATTACK on Dynamite Kid, to retain the PWS World Tag Team Titles! Match Note: The British Bulldogs beat Hart Foundation in a non-title match, to earn this title shot. They then won one out of two singles matches, pitting members of each team against each other, on Mayhem, so the momentum looked to be with the British Bulldogs. But the Hart Foundation came out geared up for this match, and dominated the Bulldogs en route to retaining the PWS World Tag Team Titles!
Main Event PWS World Heavyweight Championship Nick Bockwinkel beat Killer Kowalski with the BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER, to become the new PWS World Heavyweight Champion! Match Note: This was the match everyone was waiting for. Killer Kowalski puts his World Title on for the first time, against top contender, Nick Bockwinkel! These two met in the finals of the World Title tournament, to crown the first PWS Champion. Kowalski dominated that tournament, including dominating Bockwinkel, to become the first PWS Champ. Bockwinkel was unimpressed with the praise being thrown at Kowalski, about how dominant Kowalski was in winning the title. Bockwinkel demanded to have the first title shot, and Watts signed the match. Kowalski and Bockwinkel have had a small war of words, but tonight, they let their in ring work do the talking. And this time around, it was Bockwinkel who was dominant. Kowalski had his moments, where his size and strength came into play, but Bockwinkel was able to keep the big man at bay. Bockwinkel couldn't get Kowalski to submit to the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK, but after locking on the BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER for second time, he was able to put the big man to sleep, and Nick Bockwinkel becomes the new PWS World Heavyweight Champion!

Don't worry, Superstar only fell out of the rankings because of his injury, once he is back in about 4 cards, he will surely be back in it. Now that I think of it, I probably should have taken London and Kendrick out of the rankings because of his Kendrick's injury.
