Tag Team Match The James Gang vs. The Road Warriors with Paul Ellering: A testament to the James Gang’s toughness. A bloody B.G. too two DOOMSDAY DEVICES and would not stay down. Kip then tagged in and wrestled the rest of the match, trying to protect his brother. He went toe to toe with both Road Warriors for over 10 minutes before another DOOMSDAY DEVICE put him down for the 3. Hawk and Animal patted him on the back after the match, high praise indeed.
Masked Superstar with Jim Cornette vs. Magnum TA: Magnum controlled the former World Champion for most of the match. Cornette’s distraction saved him from the BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX! After that Superstar faught his way back, barely staying ahead, and eventually got the win with a sleeper. Even in defeat, Magnum T.A. never fails to impress.
Main Event: Number One Contender’s Match for the United States Heavyweight Championship Iron Sheik vs. Ted DiBiase with Virgil: The crowd was amazed to see Virgil back by DiBiase’s side. The Million Dollar Man yelled to the crowd, “I always tell you that everybody’s got a price.” This match will decide Lewis’s challenger at LegendsMania. Sheik never got a move off as DiBiase soundly, and cleanly, wrestled a perfect match that ended with a MILLION DOLLAR SLEEPER!

Ladies and gentlemen, we have an announcement. Currently no one has accumulated enough points to compete for the World Heavyweight Championship, and with LegendsMania so close there may not be time for anyone to do so. But we can’t have LegendsMania without a World Heavyweight Championship match. So the NWA Board has made an executive decision. The following blockbuster match between Don Leo Jonathan and Andre the Giant will in fact be for the number one contender’s spot at the Pay-Per-View.
Don Leo Jonathan vs. Andre the Giant: Fans have been clamoring to see this match even before it was for the number one contender’s spot. We’ve received many phone calls and letters asking for this match. So enjoy, ladies and gentlemen. Don Leo, who’s been on a roll as of late, was stymied by Andre’s power. It’s not often his opponent is bigger than he is, but he was practically dwarfed by Andre. Andre used his power well, but Don Leo managed an offence as well. Escaping a pin after the BIG SPLASH, he was rocked by a big boot to the face and put down for the three.
And the field is set for the Title Matches at LegendsMania!
John Pesek vs. Ted DiBiase with Virgil: Pesek asked for this match. Lewis joins the announce team. Jim Ross asks Lewis about Pesek injuring Hackenschmidt before their match, and Lewis assumes it was an accident. Lewis does admit he has a long standing friendship with Pesek. DiBiase fought like we’ve come to expect. He nearly had Pesek out with the MILLION DOLLAR SLEEPER but The Nebraska Tiger Man escaped at the last minute. Bleeding, Pesek started to beat down DiBiase, his rough ways pleasing the crowd this time, and got a quick tap out when he locked on the DOUBLE WRISTLOCK! DiBiase wasn’t injured, but he knew he was in a match for sure. Do to the matches being locked in for Mania, Pesek does not take DiBiase’s number one contender’s spot. He does move into the number three contender’s spot, however.
Tag Team Match The Killer Bees vs. The Road Warriors with Paul Ellering: A quick BEE STING rocks Hawk and gets the Killer Bees a huge upset! The crowd can’t believe it and neither can the Road Warriors.
Non-Title Match Johnny Valentine vs. Ed Lewis [C]: You cannot question Lewis’ strategy of locking on the STRANGLER’S HEADLOCK and not letting go. He controlled Valentine the whole match and finally made him submit to a full nelson. Lewis has never been on his game this much.
Main Event: Non-Title Match Rick Rude with Bobby Heenan vs. Mil Mascaras [C]: After a top rope sledgehammer Rude got a rare pinfall win against the World Champion! Pretty good considering Rude hasn’t had a singles match in months. Heenan is ecstatic, and Jim Ross reminds the home audience that you can never underestimate a competitor like Rick Rude. He’s been US and TV Champion, is a World Title in Rude’s future? Beating the Champion surely puts him in line.

Jimmy Valiant with Lou Albano vs. Al Snow: A long, boring, repetitive match. Snow was disqualified the third time he used Head.

Giant Baba vs. Dick Hutton: Baba steamrolled Hutton with a NECKBREAKER DROP for the win.

He tries to get back into the public eye buy beating Kowalski and getting a spot on Legends Mania. Kowalski was disqualified for attacking a referee after he was warned to break in the corner. Not smart, but good news for Brody who landed no offence in this match.
Tag Team Match Doring & Roadkill vs. The Fabulous Kangaroos with Red Berry: Doring and Roadkill held their own against the Champions, but a brawl erupted after Doring was hit with the BOOMERANG and the referee disqualified both teams.

The Road Warriors with Paul Ellering vs. The Love Brothers: Two DOOMSDAY DEVICES on Reginald spelled doom for the Love Brothers.
Buff Bagwell vs. Nikolai Volkoff with Nikita Breznikov: Volkoff won after dropping Bagwell’s throat across the rope.
Televised Matches
LegendsMania is rapidly approaching and we know that it will be Andre the Giant challenging Mil Mascaras for the World Heavyweight Championship! Does Mascaras have a chance? Bundy and Iron Sheik have proven that Andre can be beaten, but were those flukes? Can that happen in two falls of the same match, or would any weakness they showed in Andre only go so far?
The fans are pumped for this match and both men are in action tonight. Mascaras has been one of the most successful Champions in the Title’s history, but Andre is just so imposing.
Money in the Bank Qualifying Match Jim Londos vs. Cowboy Bob Orton with Bobby Heenan: This is it, the last chance at a spot in Money in the Bank. Londos dominated and Orton tapped out to a short arm scissors.
Magnum T.A. vs. Rick Rude with Bobby Heenan: Rick Rude, by virtue of his win over Mascaras last week, will compete for the #1 Contendership for the World Championship at LegendsMania. He will face Don Leo Jonathan who will face Mascaras himself later tonight. Not a good sign for Rude. Bloody and beaten down, he was pinned after a third BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX getting Magnum the big win.
Tag Team Match Ted DiBiase & Virgil vs. Ed Lewis & John Pesek: An interesting tag pairing here. Pesek and Snuka will compete for a shot at the US Title at LegendsMania. Lewis said he has no problem giving his friend a shot at the gold. Virgil submitted to Lewis’ double wristlock after Pesek wore him down. DiBiase was never tagged in. He laughed at Lewis for not getting his hands on him.
Jimmy Snuka vs. Curt Hennig with Bobby Heenan: Snuka got the win with a SUPERFLY LEAP!
Andre the Giant vs. Bob Roop with Bobby Heenan: Roop held on a long time, but Andre pinned him with a sitdown splash.
Tag Team Match The James Gang vs. The Masked Superstars with Jim Cornette: The first tag match for The Masked Superstars. Superstar II pinned Kip after a clothsline before B.G. was ever tagged in.
Buddy Rogers vs. Harley Race with Bobby Heenan: Well now we know one of the wrestlers traded this past week. Rogers is back in the big league and taking on stiff competition his first night back. Rogers wrestled a great match but Race used 2 straight PILEDRIVERS to put him away. Big win for Race.
Main Event: Non-Title Match Don Leo Jonathan vs. Mil Mascaras [C]: The crowd is excited to see two of their heroes do battle. Jonathan is big, but not nearly as big as Mascaras’ opponent at LegendsMania. Mascaras hit both of his finishers repeatedly and pinned Don Leo after a FLYING BODYPRESS! Jonathan shook the Champion’s hand after the match. This may not be the last time we see this match.

Looks like a solid show. Looking forward to it, especially Andre vs. Mascaras. What a unique matchup. I'm picking Andre but Mil is a tough opponent so he could take down the big man if the dice roll his way.
