Having purchased all the sets up until Partners I could not stand how long it was taking me to include some of the more recent cards in my fed so I am going to reboot. I have decided to hold a draft to select who will part of my new legends fed. There will be 35 wrestlers in the with an equal split between faces and heels. I will let the dice decide which Legends set the pick will come from. I am also going to use the Rohl ratings system as well to provide some balance to the Fed. For example, only 6 spots have been set aside for 40+ ranked wrestlers, 3 spots have been set aside for 21 point ranked wrestlers etc. etc. I was thinking of going with 6 official tags teams. With the table set and Commissioner Charlie Cox ready to oversea the event, let the draft begin…..
Roll 5 – Legends Fever: I am tempted to go with Danny Hodge but I am not sure what the make up of my fed will be. Hodge in a land of giants? I don’t think so. How about Bill Apter to assist with the storylines.
Roll 9 – Legends Vintage: I already have Apter so why not Gary Michael Capetta to go along with him as well. Now to the actual competitors.
Roll 3 – Legends International: Time to commit. James Gang might to be some fun but am going with Pepper Gomez.
Roll 10 – Legends International – Back to back. Being from Canada, I am going with Big Nasty, Angelo Mosca as my first heel.
Roll 8 – Legends Vintage: For my second pick from this set, I am going with Ed The Stranger Lewis.
Roll 6 – Limited Editions: To pick Andre or not to pick Andre? I have no one to challenge him so far in the power department so I will pass on the Giant for now. Buff Bagwell & Brutus Beefcake have always been a staple in my feds as the Last of the Famous International Playboys but I am going with Killer Kowalski LE card for some heel power.
Roll 10 – Limited Editions: Another chance at the Giant but I will pass again. I can’t see the Playboys being the first official team in so I am going with Ilio DiPaolo.
Roll 12 – Legends Rematch: I still need my first tag team so there can be no other choice. The Midnight Express.
Roll 8 - Limited Editions: 3rd time for this set. The Playboys make it in. Brutus Beefcake and Buff Bagwell just for the ladies at ringside.
Roll 10 - Limited Editions: One again back to this set. Very frustrating. Dick Hutton is the pick and hopeful the last draw from this set for some time.
Roll 5 - Legends Fever: With the heels and faces balanced, lets go with Don Muraco.
Roll 9 - Legends Vintage: A strong face in Antonio Rocca.
Roll 7 - Introduction Set: So many big names. We need someone to go against the Midnight Express so it has to be the Road Warriors
Roll 6 - Legends International: Time for another heel so it is Fritz Van Goering.
Roll 10 - Legends International: Another tag team on the heel side to balance things out. The Mongols
Roll 7 - Legends Vintage: We have the Strangler, so we need the Golden Greek as well. Jim Londos.
Roll 8 - Legends Rematch: Mil Mascaras is the top of that set and will be the highest rated competitor, so far, in my Fed
Roll 2 - Cat’s eyes gives us Legends Vintage once again. Time for some foreign talent. Rikidozan!
Roll 8 - Legends Rematch: Back again to this set. The final face tag team will be the Killer Bees
Roll 10 – Legends Rematch: Back to back picks will put Don Leo Jonathan in the Fed.
Roll 6 - Legends Originals: The top singles spots still need to be filled. Is there any other choice? RVD.
Roll 8 - Legends Fever: Still needs some more heels so it is Rick Rude.
Roll 9 – Legends Vintage: It would be nice to have Yukon Eric to battle Kowalski but I am going to go with Dan Severn as a face
Roll 7 – Introduction Set: Still need some high ends singles heels so the next pick is the Nature Boy, Buddy Rogers
Roll 8 – Legends Partners: Finally! Terry Gordy as top ranked singles heel with the potential to team up with various people.
Roll 9 – Legends Fever: The Crusher can mix it up in singles and tags team action so he is the next pick. Lets make him a heel to start.
Roll 7 – Legends Rematch: Cowboy Bob Orton is the pick over Sabu this time around.
Roll 8 – Limited Editions: Another crack at Andre but I am taking Bob Orton Sr to team with his son.
Roll 9 – Legends International: How about some speed and agility. Tiger Mask!
Roll 4 – Introduction Set: Frank Gotch as a face
Roll 6: Legends International: Jushin Liger to join Tiger Mask
Roll 6 – Legends Hardcore: Bruiser Brody is a no brainer
Roll 4: Legends International: The James Gang as the last official heel team? That is the only choice.
There it is. Action will get underway soon….

Gotch goes into the ropes and rebounds with a perfect cross body block for a 1 count (R6/P2). Gordy quickly regains control when Gotch makes the mistake of brawling with Gordy at ringside. A running lariat sprawls Gotch to the floor but somehow Gotch is able to trip up Gordy from outside the ring and rams Gordy’s leg into the ring post. The bell sounds and Gotch has been disqualified. The fans hate the call and give it too the official after the bell.

Match 4: Buddy Rogers (3) v. Bruiser Brody (6) What a contrast in entrances between the styling of the Nature Boy and the barking madness that is Bruiser Brody. Brody’s power sets the pace early on and the Nature Boy is tossed to the floor. Rogers trips up Brody from outside and rams Brody’s knee of the ring post. The referee lets the action continue and Rogers attacks with a deathjump smash to Brody’s leg followed by a FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE. Brody cannot escape and the match is over (R3/P6).
Bill Apter welcomes the Road Warriors and Paul Ellering to the Hot Seat. Hawk cannot believe they found 7 other teams stupid enough to sign up for the World Tag Team Title Tournament next card knowing full well that they are just going to get beat up by the Warriors. Captain Lou Albano leads the Mongols to the set and Albano complains that his team is not featured on the first Hot Seat. Ellering challenges the Mongols to match right now. Rather than respond, Albano takes a swing at Ellering starting a wild brawl. The Mongols and Albano put the beat down on the Warriors with the assistance with their chains. Security arrives to break things up.
Match 5: Mil Mascaras (1) v. Terry Gordy (5) Another great ovation for Mascaras during the introductions. Gordy must be the fresher of the two competitors after Mascaras’ epic first round encounter with Don Leo Jonathan. Gordy once again uses his size advantage to gain the upper hand early on. Cowboy Bob Orton steps into the ring with Jim Brunzell and we are underway. Orton’s power allows him to counter a body slam attempt and plant Brunzell with a piledriver. A second piledriver sends Brunzell to the floor were Bob Orton Sr. cracks Brunzell with a chair while his son distracts the referee. Brunzell is counted out of the ring and the fans are all over the Ortons as they raise their hands in victory.
Match 8: Mil Mascaras (1) v. Buddy Rogers (3) The fans are more than ready for this one. Rogers sets the tone with an arrogant strut and slap to the face of Mascaras. Mascaras somehow keeps his cool and goes to work. A slingshot plancha rocks the crowd. Mascaras stuns Rogers with a full nelson suplex for a 1 count (R9/P3).
