For those who do not use the MMA system, eliminating the wrestling would take away a long-standing aspect of the game by taking away official development of an entire federation. After spending so much time and money with the CPC/POW sets over the years, I would be very upset by that.
I do not begrudge the MMA version to those who like it. Some people enjoy that system, and that's fine. But leave both versions intact to allow all of us to play the way we want. Leaving the wrestling side does not hurt those who want to play MMA style, so why argue to take it away?

I'm not against it going MMA, but I think you'll have to lose some of the storylines....or at least cut back on some of them. (Mad Jester for instance sticks out like a sore thumb in MMA. I'd prefer if we go MMA, we go more straight forward and less theatrical) When the Mad Jester debuted Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat was the match of the year. The guy has a longer shelf life than canned soup. It's probably ok for him and a lot of other ex GWF guys to finally finish up and make way for new stars. POW isn't TNA. So it's cool with me if even all time greats like MJ hang up the boots for good. Also, I totally agree about going for a straight forward MMA fed feel. I hope it's geared toward sport and the characters motivations. Make these guys want to be MMA champions because that's what they are, not because of a bunch of grudges. Of course you have to have rivalries, but a rivalry is different from a blood feud imo. I feel like the belts should be the main focus of the fed if that make sense.

I too would be very disappointed if or more likely when POW goes strictly MMA. I have no interest in MMA, none. So for the Pow to go strictly MMA, would be one less card set to purchase for sure, although everyone can see it is heading that direction. It is sad, that this fed with all the storylines developed over the course of the years would just go away, but it looks to me that's where its headed. Wouldnt it be possible (though it wouldnt be the same because with the focus on MMA, the storylines would suffer) to continue doing wrestling cards for this fed. After all its just development, we're printing the cards.

I don't care which was it goes (sorry, I'm only on 2099 in my classic GWF fed so CPC is a distant dream). If and when I do get caught up (and I will) I would probably drop out at P.O.W. unless the storylines were (which I have all faith in Mark for providing). I'm just not an MMA fan. The only time I've watched was at GCon last year and that was a blast, but more for the company kept while watching.
This all being said, I want P.O.W. to continue in ANY form if that means we'll get more Zone of Lawless episodes. Seriously one of the best augmentations to ANY branch of a Filsinger Games product.

I will say one more thing for now.
If it wasn't for what we were going to do, there probably wouldn't even be any more POW.

Maybe the POW Front Office is finally making it to CotGOnline in addition to the new set? That would make me very very happy. What about a sudden death kinda thing between the wrestling and MMA?

I agree with Grant there needs be more Zone of Lawless. Don't get me wrong on the MMA/Wrestling angle. I just would like to see a couple guys who do one or the other with no cross over.s

I don't much care about the storyline. I do my own storylines anyway. Just keep the cards available as wrestlers and I'll be satisfied. And as I recall, both Flair and Steamboat have wrestled in the WWE within the last couple of years (not sure of when Flair retired, but it was not that long ago.) And Bret Hart was recently a champion in WWE. Really no need for the pot shots at TNA.

I agree, David. And its perfectly fine to have all the only MMa'ers that you want--just keep the wrestling side of it going. Even if it has to be semi-official like the Z sets.

MMA all the way. It's what sets it apart from the rest and we need a whole new infusion of guys with the established ones. I love Mark's writing, but I can't do another wrestling fed, but MMA would be refreshing...plus put it to cotgonline for the Game Table!
