Empresa Mexicana de Lucha Libre (Mexican Wrestling Enterprise)
Dark Matches
MR. JL def. ROB JAMES
A short one as neither got to really show what they can do. James knocked himself out when he ran into the turnbuckle and Mr. JL grabbed the pin.
DEVON STORM def. OWEN HART
"Dangerous" Devon Storm impressed everyone once again. He debuted last week with a win over the Cobra, then lost a rematch in ECW. Owen Hart made his debut and the two were awesome. Flying everywhere in and out of the ring. Storm took the win with the Moonsault.
Lucha Lords #8 Guadalajara, Mexico Feb. 22, 2119
BLACK TIGER def. THE COBRA
The TV debut for both men. This one was short but violent. Black Tiger nailed the Cobra off the ropes and then landed his reverse elbow drop off the top for the pin. He tombstone piledrove the Cobra after the match and tried to take his mask off. Tiger Mask raced into the ring to make the save.
THE COLONY def. MIDNIGHT EXPRESS & DANNY HODGE
Just a remarkable match by the Ants. They really cleaned house on all three opponents. Danny Hodge, world Jr. heavyweight champion, couldn't slow them down and Green Ant used the Cloverleaf twice to pull off the huge win (Hodge 4 coins).
TERRIBLE TURK def. CARLOS COLON
Carlos Colon debuted in Puerto Rico only a couple days ago. Now he brings his fight with the Turk and the Sheik to Mexico. A real brutal match but the Turk took charge and Colon was on the receiving end of tremendous punishment. Finally it was all too much and a rib crusher put him away (Colon 5 coins).
BRUISER BRODY def. KONNAN
Two days ago in Puerto Rico Brody was disqualified. This time he completely ran righ thru Konnan, winning with the jumping knee drop. The Foreign Legion ran in to attack Brody, then Carlos Colon came to his rescue.
MWE Light-heavyweight Title Tournament
Block B
BRIAN KENDRICK def. KOKO B. WARE
Kendrick took over right away and hit his finisher early on. He maintained the offense and the Sliced Bread #2 a second time put Koko away.
DELIRIOUS def. RICKY LANDELL
Landell did everything in this match except win. He was all over Delirious with multiple finishers and tremendous dives to the floor. Delirious held on and got offense working and pulled out the win with Chemical Imbalance #2.
ADRIAN STREET def. AMASIS
Amasis gave an incredible effort in this one. A very long match that went back and forth the entire time. Miss Linda started interfering a lot to help Street but Amasis kept on fighting back. They nearly went the time limit but Street finally put Amasis down for the pin (Amasis 6 coins).
MIKE QUACKENBUSH def. PAUL LONDON
A win would give Quackenbush the top spot in Block B. He had a hard time at first but a suicide dive to the outside and then off the top rope put London down for the count.
Block B Final Standings 1. Mike Quackenbush 12 pts. 2. Adrian Street 12 3. Delirious 8 4. Brian Kendrick 6 Koko B. Ware 6 Ricky Landell 6 5. Paul London 4 6. Amasis 2
Block D
MIKE DIBIASE def. JIMMY JACOBS
Jacobs did everything in his power to avoid going winless in the tournament. The two went back and forth with big moves off the top rope. DiBiase won with the big knee off the top, but after the match a frustrated and humiliated Jacobs attacked and smashed his spike into the forehead of DiBiase.
BRAD ARMSTRONG def. JIGSAW
A very long hard-fought match. Jigsaw tried so hard but Armstrong stayed on top and finally won with the abdominal stretch (Jigsaw 4 coins).
CHUCK TAYLOR def. ULTRAMANTIS BLACK
It was all Taylor in this one. UltraMantis fought hard but the Awful Waffel finished him off (UMB 4 coins).
JUSHIN THUNDER LIGER def. TIGER MASK
The winner would earn the top spot in Block D and the other runnerup with both men moving on. Liger exploded with offense and took over the match with ridiculous moves to the outside that nearly wiped out both men. Liger's Fisherman Buster brought him the three count.
Block D Final Standings 1. Jushin Thunder Liger 11 pts. 2. Tiger Mask 10 3. Chuck Taylor 8 4. Brad Armstrong 6 5. Jigsaw 6 6. Mike DiBiase 6 7. UltraMantis Black 5 8. Jimmy Jacobs 0
Block A
DRAKE YOUNGER def. JIM BRUNZELL
Younger finished up a very disappointing tournament by crushing Brunzell. Younger used anything he could find on the outside to do the damage before pinning him.
SABU def. ICARUS
Sabu made real short work of Icarus, beating him with a slingshot leg drop.
GORGEOUS GEORGE def. OPHIDIAN
Gorgeous George punched his ticket into the final round with a dominating win. Ophidian never found any room to get some offense going but fought to stay alive before losing to a rolling hiplock (Ophidian 4 coins).
RED BASTIEN def. LES THATCHER
Red Bastien won the match over ECW TV champion Les Thatcher, but will not move out of pool play despite a three-way tie for first place as he lost to Gorgeous George earlier. Red went wild with offense, non-stop attack until winning with the atomic drop.
Block A Final Standings 1. Les Thatcher 10 pts. 2. Gorgeous George 10 3. Red Bastien 10 4. Sabu 9 5. Jim Brunzell 6 6. Drake Younger 4 7. Ophidian 4 8. Icarus 2
Block C
BILLY RED LYONS def. GRAN AKUMA
Lyons ruined Akuma's plans of going undefeated in pool play. A quick takedown and the figure four leglock forced Akuma to give it up.
TRENT ACID def. DANNY DORING
Acid sent Doring to a quick defeat and zero points in the tournament. The Acid Bomb two times in a row put Doring away.
BOBBY EATON def. J.D. MICHAELS
"Beautiful" Bobby clinched second place in the Block C with a great win. He took it to Michaels and beat him with the Alabama Jam.
BRYAN DANIELSON def. CHRIS CANDIDO
A great matchup but neither man could move on regardless of the outcome. Danielson won after the Yakuza kick and Cattle Mutilation.
Block C Final Standings 1. Gran Akuma 12 pts. 2. Bobby Eaton 10 3. Bryan Danielson 10 4. Chris Candido 8 5. Billy Red Lyons 8 6. J.D. Michaels 4 7. Trent Acid 4 8. Danny Doring 0
The eight men advancing out of pool play into the final round of the tournament are:
Gran Akuma, Mike Quackenbush, Adrian Street, Jushin Thunder Liger, Tiger Mask, Les Thatcher, Gorgeous George, and Bobby Eaton.

REY DE REYES Monterrey, Mexico March 1, 2119
This is the first MWE payper view extravaganza! Tonight, we will crown the first ever Mexican heavyweight wrestling champion! AND, we will also see the Torneo Cibernetico championship match for the MWE Light-heavyweight title!
REY DE REYES QUALIFYING ROUND
KONNAN def. ILIO DIPAOLO, CARLOS COLON, and IVAN KOLOFF
In the first fall, Konnan and Ivan Koloff paired off against Carlos Colon and Ilio DiPaolo. Colon went down at first but fought back. DiPaolo went up against Konnan and Koloff and didn't fare very well. The Russian Bear used his chain at ringside to bust DiPaolo open and grab a three count.
Carlos Colon was then brutally and unmercifully double teamed by Konnan and Koloff. The Russian Bear was out of control with the chain and destroyed Colon. Colon fought hard and somehow kept on going and did not give up to the bear hug. Konnan nailed him with the Tequila Sunrise to eliminate Colon (6 coins).
Konnan looked like he was trying to talk Koloff into letting him move on to the final by offering him a place in the Foreign Legion. The Russian Bear would have none of it and the two went at it. Konnan caught Koloff hard off the ropes and grabbed the three-count to win the match.
DALLAS PAGE def. IRON SHEIK, OX BAKER, and ANTONINO ROCCA
A great first fall with all four firing off big-time. A lot of bad blood in this match too with Rocca taking the Universal title from Baker and Page fighting the Iron Sheik and the Foreign Legion the last two weeks in Puerto Rico. After several tags between Page and Rocca and Baker and the Iron Sheik, it was DDP hitting the Diamond Cutter off the ropes to pin the Iron Sheik.
Ox Baker almost downed Page real fast with the Heart Punch. DDP came back with a side russian leg sweep. Rocca then eliminated Baker with the bow and arrow.
Then, Page and Rocca gave the fans an incredible contest, just like they've done before when they traded the Universal title. Both men took charge with big moves and finishers, but the other wouldn't go down. Page got the Diamond Cutter yet again and finally scored the pinfall (Rocca 5 coins, Page 4 coins).
BUDDY ROSE def. TERRIBLE TURK, PEPPER GOMEZ, and BRODIE LEE
An amazing first fall with Rose and the Turk working together against Pepper Gomez and Brodie Lee. Just off the chart action with all four doing everything in their power to beat someone or keep from losing. Lee was double teamed so much and took both finishers, as well as an attack on the floor and wouldn't go down. After Gomez fought both men for a long time Lee blasted the Turk twice with the big boot to score the first elimination of the match.
Buddy Rose turned things around against Gomez. A foreign object, DDT, and the Bombs Away beat the home-country favorite Gomez, leaving the Playboy against a very tired Brodie Lee.
Lee tried to choke slam Rose but couldn't hold him up and went down. The Playboy used a half Boston crab to finish off Lee and win the match (Lee 5 coins).
CHRIS HERO def. MISSING LINK, THE SHEIK, and BRUISER BRODY
The Link and ECW champion Chris Hero started it off. The two went back and forth, with each man missing a move off the top rope. A fight on the floor, a chair shot by the Link. Hero was able to tag the Sheik and the Camel Clutch was all it took to beat the Link.
Brody immediately rushed the ring and tore into the Sheik. These two kept fighting the rest of the way. Hero never got a tag though he did offer one to Brody. They went outside but Brody stayed on top. The Sheik took the big knee drop twice before a huge boot to the face put him away.
The unthinkable then took place as Chris Hero found a way to beat Brody. It was all Brody for a long time, but Hero stayed alive. The Rolling Elbow Smash twice didn't work, but Hero still managed to pin Brody with another elbow.
BLACK TIGER & DEVON STORM def. COBRA & OWEN HART
Out of this world high flying action here. All four nearly killed themselves with moves to the outside. Lots of tags and the Black Tiger scored the fall on the Cobra after a missile dropkick.
SKY LOW LOW def. LITTLE BEAVER
Midget action in Mexico for the first time! Little Beaver really dominated the match, but fell victim to a running spear.
DANNY HODGE def. GREEN ANT
Danny Hodge was embarrassed when he lost to Green Ant in a six-man tag team match with the Midnight Express against the Colony. Green Ant wasn't worried about going in there against the World Jr. champion and very quickly had the Cloverleaf on Hodge again. The champ whethered the storm and came back to win after a beautiful dropkick.
IWWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP DANGEROUS ANGELS (ch) def. MINNESOTA HOME WRECKING CREW
An awesome womens tag team title match. The Home Wrecking Crew really asserted themselves on both opponents. Danger was in a long time and took the Tomakaze. Later it was Del Rey who was hit with the double team finisher. Lacey kicked out after the Butterfly Powerslam. The match went back and forth before Danger nailed Rain with the Shimmering Warlock and grabbed the pinfall.
MIDNIGHT EXPRESS def. THE COLONY
These teams have been battling it out for awhile now. This one was a great contest as Lane and Condrey just destroyed Soldier and Fire Ant over and over. The Ants showed how tough they are by taking big move and finisher after finisher. Condrey used the Rocket Launcher and then the facefirst leg sweep to finally beat Fire Ant (Soldier Ant 5 coins, Fire Ant 4 coins).
NICK BOCKWINKEL & LARRY ZBYSZKO def. MIL MASCARAS & BOBO BRAZIL
A huge match with the world, U.S., TV champions and the No. 1 contender. Zbyszko took a lot of punishment, but made the tag. Bockwinkel put the figure four and then the sleeper on Bobo to win the match.
TORNEO CIBERNETICO
This is the final of The Alas de Oros ("Wings of Gold") Tournament for the MWE Light-heavyweight championship. The eight men who advanced out of the round robin portion are now in a tag team elimination match. The order each man on each team can come into the match is strictly defined. The match continues until there is only one wrestler left.
GORGEOUS GEORGE, ADRIAN STREET, LES THATCHER, MIKE QUACKENBUSH VS. BOBBY EATON, TIGER MASK, JUSHIN LIGER, GRAN AKUMA
The first fall saw lots of tags and great action. Each team started out working well together with tags or getting to the outside so a new man could come in. Tiger Mask planted Les Thatcher with three consecutive Tiger Suplexes before finally getting the pin.
More back and forth action from all seven men until Liger rolled Gorgeous George up for a three count.
Bobby Eaton took out Mike Quackenbush with a top rope elbow smash.
Adrian Street was all alone and put up a tremendous fight against his four opponents. Street battled for his championship life and eliminated Gran Akuma with the Crucifix.
Bobby Eaton eliminated Street when he crashed into the corner post (Street 5 coins).
Tiger Mask dropped Eaton with a back suplex to leave just himself and Jushin Liger.
Liger landed a koppo kick and a top rope splash. Then the Liger Dive scored the pinfall and Jushin Thunder Liger is the Mexican Light-heavyweight champion!
MWE Light-heavyweight rankings Jushin Thunder Liger (ch) 1. Tiger Mask 2. Bobby Eaton 3. Adrian Street 4. Gran Akuma 5. Mike Quackenbush 6. Gorgeous George 7. Les Thatcher
REY DE REYES FINAL
CHRIS HERO def. KONNAN, BUDDY ROSE and DALLAS PAGE
An unbelievable first fall. Dallas Page basically had to fight all three men for close to half an hour. On occasion Hero was in against Rose and Konnan. Page hit the Diamond Cutter on Konnan as he was going for a somersault lariat and scored the pin on the leader of the Foreign Legion.
DDP then continued to fight off Hero and Rose. Page hit the Diamond Cutter on Rose as Hero watched the three count.
The last fall was completely off the chart. Non-stop back and forth action as both men showed intestinal fortitude like never before. Hero got on a huge roll but Page wouldn't go down. Hero's rolling elbow smash finally put Page (6 coins) away. Chris Hero is the new MWE heavyweight champion, and still the ECW heavyweight champion!!

Wow awesome ppv Ty. I'm shocked by Hero winning it all but that's what makes this game great. Great win by Liger in taking the MWE Light Heavyweight title.

Empresa Mexicana de Lucha Libre (Mexican Wrestling Enterprise)
Lucha Lords #9 Cancun, Mexico March 8, 2119
IRON MIKE DIBIASE def. BRAD ARMSTRONG
Armstrong got the win when these two men in round robin competition during the MWE Light-heavyweight title tournament. This time around DiBiase got on a roll. A couple piledrivers and then a top rope knee drop got him the pin.
First Round MWE Double Elimination Tag Team Title Tournament
TEAM FIST def. PAUL LONDON & BRIAN KENDRICK
Not sure if any match the rest of the show will top this one. An insane back and forth exhibition of amazing dives and tag team wrestling. All four were in tons of trouble. Akuma caught London with kicks to the head for the pin (Londrick 5 coins, Team FIST 3 coins).
KILLER BEES def. MIKE QUACKENBUSH & JIGSAW
A pretty fast match here. After a few tags the Bees nailed Quackenbush with a double elbow smash and grabbed the pin.
MIDNIGHT EXPRESS def. KOKO B. WARE & OWEN HART
Another awesome match as Condrey and Lane narrowly defeated this new tag team. Koko and Owen really carried the fight to Cornette's men. Owen hit his diving headbutt twice on Condrey. A very long match but another flapjack on Koko finally brought them the win (Koko/Owen 4 coins, MX 5 coins).
OSIRIAN PORTAL def. HEADHUNTERS
An ungodly match. Amasis and Ophidian were amazing as they were completely destroyed yet continued fighting back and never stopped giving the Headhunters everything they could handle. The Headhunters used both the moonsault and top rope splash but the Portal was able to save the match. Headhunter A tried a dive to the floor with disastrous effects to himself. Amasis and his Egyptian Conniption shockiingly finished off Headhunter A (Headhunter A 6 coins, Ophidian 3 coins).
TIGER MASK & COBRA def. BLACK TIGER & DEVON STORM
A wild and crazy fight as all four tried to put the others out of action with out of this world dives to the outside. The Cobra missed his top rope headbutt. The match kept going until Tiger Mask beat Storm with rolling senton splashes. These four have quickly developed a great rivalry and they continued the fight after the match was over.
FLYING RED HEADS def. PEPPER GOMEZ & ILIO DIPAOLO
A shocking outcome here as Bastien hit Gomez with a flying headscissors as the bell rang and got the three count. Everyone was stunned that the match was over, then Gomez took exception to the way Bastien had jumped him and the four would-be good guys soon had to be separated.
THE COLONY def. ULTRAMANTIS BLACK & DELIRIOUS
This match might have moved into the best one of the night. Just the best Lucha Libre action you've ever seen. Non stop back and forth as both teams were all over each other. Soldier Ant got the pin in the corner on Delirious after a furious pace of moves and dives out of all four wrestlers (Delirious 5 coins, Colony 7 coins).
GORGEOUS GEORGE & ADRIAN STREET def. KONNAN & BUDDY ROSE
An excellent display of tag team ability by all four men. The match went very long but the time limit did not expire. Tons of near falls and double teams. It was a top rope double team move that backfired on the Foreign Legion and George grabbed the pinfall on Rose.
Winner's Bracket Quarterfinals Team FIST vs. Killer Bees Midnight Express vs. Osirian Portal Tiger Mask & Cobra vs. Flying Red Heads The Colony vs. Gorgeous George & Adrian Street
Loser's Bracket Round 1 Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs. Mike Quackenbush & Jigsaw Koko B. Ware & Owen Hart vs. Head Hunters Black Tiger & Devon Storm vs. Pepper Gomez & Ilio DiPaolo UltraMantis Black & Delirious vs. Konnan & Buddy Rose
MWE LIGHT-HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP LES THATCHER def. JUSHIN THUNDER LIGER (ch)
One week after winning the title Liger falls to Les Thatcher. A truly classic match. Thatcher took untolds amounts of punishment as Liger used the Shooting Star Press, many many dives to the outside and late in the match the Fisherman Buster. Thatcher kept coming back somehow. After one of Liger's missed high-risk moves the Stump Puller put an end to Liger's title run. Last summer after winning a 32-man tournament for the NWA World Jr. title Liger dropped the belt in his first title defense to J.D. Michaels. Thatcher was one of the final eight men to advance out of pool play in the MWE title tournament. (Liger 4 coinst, Thatcher 5 coins)
NWA WORLD JR. HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP DANNY HODGE (ch) def. BOBBY EATON
A super championship main event. Jim Cornette did all he could to help his man take the title. Eaton landed the Alabama Jam early on. Hodge ended up dominating the majority of the match though with many many submission moves, using the sleeper and Indian Deathlock for a long time, as well as the top rope. Cornette saved Eaton twice but after he got dropkicked off the apron Eaton couldn't kick out and Hodge retained the title.

Good show, Ty. I picked George & Street to win in your poll so I'm glad to see they got the win over Konnan & Rose. Thatcher has pulled off some nce wins in my fed so not too surprising to see him win the title but Liger sure does have bad luck after winning the gold. Also loved the quick finish between the Flying Redheads and Gomez & DiPaolo and the Osirian Portal win over The Head Hunters sounded epic.
