RING OF GLORY Honor Guard January 4, 2011 - Jacksonville, FL - Vets Memorial
At the top of the show Honor Guard General Manager "Classy" Freddie Blassie came out to the ring and announced that he had signed "arguably the greatest Legend of Professional Wrestling" to an exclusive Honor Guard Contract. And that this man would make his RING OF GLORY in-ring debut tonight. The Legend? "The Immortal Hulk Hogan!"
In the opening match Ed "Strangler" Lewis defeated The Mountie in two straight falls to retain the World Class Heritage Championship...
After the break the United States Heavyweight Champion Terry "Bamm Bamm" Gordy is in the ring with Ted DiBiase and "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan. In light of recent events between the threesome and The Sheik's disciples they called out The Crimson Jihad. "Sheik! Get you and your little friends out here so we can settle this like men. Like Americans! Face-to-Face." When there was no response Gordy, DiBiase and Duggan left the ring and made their way to the backstage area. "If you won't come to us we'll come to get you!"
In their RING OF GLORY debut, The Hart Foundation defeated the team of "Dastardly" Danny Doring & Amish Roadkill when Bret "The Hitman" Hart pinned Doring with a small package...
The World Heavyweight Champion, Nick Bockwinkel defeated Al Snow by submission in a non-title match...
Backstage Gordy, DiBiase and Duggan are on the hunt for The Crimson Jihad. They're knocking on doors and pushing people around in an attempt to find their hated rivals...
The team of "The Legendary" Johnny Valentine & Greg "the Hammer" Valentine defeated the team of "The Untouchable" Roderick Strong & "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff by countout when "the Hammer" gave Orndorff a piledriver on the outside of the ring. While Orndorff and Greg Valentine were fighting on the outside of the ring, unbeknownst to the referee Strong snuck-up behind Johnny Valentine and flattened him with a steel chair. After regaining his senses Valentine challenged Strong; "Strong, neither Honor Guard nor BATTLEBOWL is big enough for both of us. In two weeks let's lay it all on the line. The winner goes to BattleBowl and the loser leaves Honor Guard!"
Backstage, we once again catch up with Gordy, DiBiase & Duggan. They haven't found The Crimson Jihad. Gordy: "You can run, but you can't hide. The Riot Squad will find you and when we do... all Hell's gonna break loose!"
In his RING OF GLORY Honor Guard in-ring debut Hulk Hogan defeated Brodie Lee with the "Big Legdrop, brother!"
Backstage, Bill Apter caught up with Roderick Strong & Paul Orndorff and asked "The Untouchable One" if he would accept Johnny Valentine's challenge. Strong's response, "Hells Yes!" So in two weeks when Honor Guard returns Johnny Valentine will go one-on-one with Roderick Strong with the winner going on to BATTLEBOWL and the loser presumaby leaving Honor Guard...
In the main event a Steel Cage Match to determine the #1 Contender to the World Heavyweight Championship, "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka was dominant in his victory over The Magnificent Muraco beating him with a flying headbutt from the top of the cage. "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka will challenge Nick Bockwinkel for the World Heavyweight Championship at BATTLEBOWL... That's it for RING OF GLORY Honor Guard. I'll be back next week with results from RING OF GLORY Powerhouse. Until then...

RING OF GLORY Powerhouse January 11, 2011 - Tampa. FL - The SunDome
This episode of RING OF GLORY Powerhouse opened with the new RING OF GLORY Champion, Larry "the Ax" Hennig coming to the ring. He said that the Holidays around the Hennig home was far less than festive without Curt's family there. He called his son out. Curt came to the ring. The champion told Curt that he understood why he was angry with him. (For interfering in his championship match a few weeks prior). "The Ax" asked what he could "do to make things right?" Curt had just five words for him: "A shot at the title." The champion agreed so later tonight it will be father vs. son for the RING OF GLORY Championship...
In his RING OF GLORY debut, Eddie Guerrero defeated "Maniac" Matt Borne following a Frog Splash...
Austin Aries defeated Jushin "Thunder" Liger by countout to retain the Global Cruiserweight Championship...
The Crimson Jihad (The Sheik, Sabu, RVD and One Man Gang) have arrived at Powerhouse. They put the entire roster on notice by declaring "WAR on RING OF GLORY Powerhouse!"[/b]

"The Russian Lion" George Hackenschmidt defeated "Mr. Wrestling" Steve Corino by submission to retain the Intercontinental Championship...
In a match for the Intercontinental Tag Team Championship, Sabu & Rob Van Dam defeated The Killer Bees by disqualification. The Killer Bees retain the titles...
The RING OF GLORY Championship Match between Larry "the Ax' Hennig and Curt Hennig never got under way as both men were attacked by two large masked men that Harley Race called "The Executioners." It is important to note that Curt left his father in the ring as he was getting beat on by Race & The Executioners. Could Curt have set up his father?
That's it for the RING OF GLORY Powerhouse Re-Wind for January 11th. I'll be back in a couple of days with the results from the January 18th RING OF GLORY Honor Guard broadcast.
Until then...

RING OF GLORY Honor Guard Tuesday, February 1, 2011 - Greensboro, SC - Greensboro Coliseum
RING OF GLORY Honor Guard kicked off with "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka, a mere 48 hours after tapping out to the World Heavyweight Champion, Nick Bockwinkel, coming to the ring. Surprisingly he was met with a chant of "You Tapped Out! You Tapped Out!" Snuka took the mic and said, "I'm not here to talk about that, bruddah, I'm here to talk about the future. Nick Bockwinkel you have two hours to agree to a rematch at NEW FRONTIERS. There are two ways to do this... the easy way or the Snuka way. Choose wisely, bruddah."...
It was announced that RING OF GLORY Honor Guard's next big event would be NEW FRONTIERS on February 27th. The two New Frontiers Matches, a 10 Man & 6 Team Challenge Matches will determine who will get a World Heavyweight and World Tag Team Championship match at WRESTLEREVOLUTION V...
The first encounter of the night was a qualifying match for the New Frontiers Steel Cage 10 Man Challenge Match at NEW FRONTIERS. In only his second night in RING OF GLORY Bruno Sammartino defeated King Kong Bundy with the Sammartino Backbreaker to qualify...
The Wild Samoans defeated The Briscoes to qualify for the New Frontiers Steel Cage 6 Team Challenge Match at NEW FRONTIERS...
"The Untouchable" Roderick Strong defeated "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan with a Gibson Driver to qualify for the 10 Man New Frontiers Match...
After a commercial break The Midnight Express ("Sweet" Stan & "Beautiful" Bobby) along with their manager Jim Cornette are in the ring. Cornette, in no uncertain terms, blamed "Sweet" Stan Lane for not only costing the Midnight Express the World Tag Team titles at BATTLEBOWL. But losing "them in the first place." Cornette looked Lane in the eyes and said, "It's time for a change." And with that "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton nailed Lane with a vicious right hook. Suddenly, Eaton was joined by "Loverboy" Dennis Condrey and the two commenced to beat down Lane. To cap it all off The New Midnight Express nailed Lane with a Veg-o-Matic, leaving "Sweet" Stan laying in the ring...
The Hart Foundation defeated the team of Yukon Eric & The Mountie to qualify for the 6 Team New Frontiers Match. After the match The Mountie was visually upset and turned his cattle prod on his tag team partner...
Terry "Bamm Bamm" Gordy defeated The Masked Superstar to retain the United States Heavyweight Championship. After the match, The Mountie, returned to the ring and assaulted the U.S. Champion with his cattle prod. The Mountie then looked into the camera and said, "The Mountie always gets his man! And now The Mountie will get the United States Championship"...
A video aired playing the song "Sweet Emotion" by Aerosmith. The video was all tie-dyed and psychadelic images and only four words appeared on the screen that read, "The Reflection of Perfection." The words evaporated into 2.27.11. (I know. I know. But I couldn't resist.)...
Back in the ring The Magnificent Muraco defeated "The Runaway Train" Erick Stevens to qualify for the New Frontiers match on February 27th...
In a tag team match, Ted DiBiase & "Dr. Death" Steve Williams defeated the team of Diamond Dallas Page & Magnum TA. Both DiBiase & Williams qualify for the 10 Man New Frontiers Match. After the match DDP stormed out leaving his partner in the ring...
The two hours was up and "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka was in the ring. Once again the Fiji Island Legend was met with a chant of "You Tapped Out! You Tapped Out!" Snuka called out the World Heavyweight Champion who emerged, and as shocking as the Anti- Snuka chant was, even more shocking Bockwinkel was met with cheers. Bockwinkel made his way to the ring and flatly denied Snuka a championship rematch. He capped it off by telling Snuka, "I'm saving you, "Superfly", from more embarassment. You couldn't beat me at BATTLEBOWL and you can't beat me at NEW FRONTIERS. And that's a "You Problem." In response Snuka nailed Bockwinkel with a chop to the head sending the champ to the mat. He stomped Bockwinkel and then when Bockwinkel was sufficiently beaten down the "Superfly" took flight, nailing "The Sensational White Phantom" with a picture perfect Superfly Leap. But Snuka wasn't finished, he stormed out of the ring with Bockwinkel's championship belt in his possession. RING OF GLORY Honor Guard went off the air with Snuka, drenched in a chorus of boos holding the World Heavyweight Championship belt high above his head.
That's it for "The RING OF GLORY Honor Guard Re-Wind." I'll be back in a couple of days with the results from the February 8th episode of RING OF GLORY Powerhouse featuring the 2011 BATTLEBOWL Champion, "Nature Boy Buddy Rogers and the RING OF GLORY debut of The Steiner Brothers.
Until then,

RING OF GLORY Powerhouse Tuesday, February 8th, Charlotte, NC - TWC Arena
At the top of the show, former RING OF GLORY Champion, Larry "the Ax" Hennig. He announced that he would invoke his rematch clause "right here tonight." However, the Powerhouse General Manager "The Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart came to the ring and told the former champ that in March he wants to "put together the best pay-per-view leading up to WRESTLEREVOLUTION V. To show the RING OF GLORY Championship Trust that I'm up to the challenge." Hart convinced Hennig, to "rest up and meet Race at SABOTAGE in March." He told Hennig that if he waited until then, "I will let you (Hennig) decide the type of match." Hennig half-heartedly agreed. So the main event for RING OF GLORY Powerhouse's next pay per view, SABOTAGE, looks to be Race vs. Hennig for the RING OF GLORY Championship...

RING OF GLORY Powerhouse, Continued Tuesday, February 8th, Charlotte, NC - TWC Arena
In the first match of the night The American Wolves defeated the Intercontinental Tag Team Champions, The Killer Bees in a non-title match...
Bruiser Brody defeated "Mr. Wrestling" Steve Corino following a Jumping Knee Smash...
The Steiner Brothers made their RING OF GLORY debut by announcing "The 1st Annual Steiner Brothers Invitational Tag Team Tournament." They announced that the eight teams competing in the tournament are The British Bulldogs, The Koloffs, StormFront (Jushin "Thunder" Liger & "Lightning" Mike Quackenbush), "Playboy" Buddy Rose & "The Terrible Turk" Youssuf Ishmaelo, The American Wolves, Sabu & The Sheik, The Killer Bees and The Fabulous Kangaroos. The Steiners announced that the Bees, because of their loss earlier in the show, had already been eliminated and that the next match is scheduled for later in the show...
Diesel in his first Powerhouse match after his debut at BATTLEBOWL, made it look easy against Brodie Lee. Pinning him following a thunderous Jackknife Powerbomb. After the match, Diesel took the mic and said, "I gotta score to settle. You know who you are. Bruno, I'm coming for ya." Diesel then dropped the mic in the ring and strutted out, as only "Big Daddy Cool" can strut...
"Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce defeated Danny Hodge when the Global Cruiserweight Champion, Austin Aries, who was offering commentary on the match, inexplicably hit Hodge in the head with the championship belt...
In apparently the second match of "The 1st Annual Steiner Brothers Invitational Tag Team Tournament," Ivan & Nikita Koloff defeated the team of Jushin "Thunder" Liger & "Lightning" Mike Quackenbush (StormFront)...
Before the the main event between the 2011 BATTLEBOWL Champion, "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers and "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson, Powerhouse General Manager, Jimmy Hart came to the ring and confronted Rogers about certain indiscretions between Rogers and Hart's sister. Rogers denied even knowing Jimmy Hart had a sister. This appalled Hart who decided to stay at ringside. During the course of the match, Rogers threw Danielson on the General Manager, who had kept up a running commentary, berating Rogers. Hart got up screaming saying, "Rogers, you're gonna pay for that. And you're gonna pay for what you did to my sister." Rogers won the match by making Danielson tap out to the "Figure Four Grapevine." After the match, a young man, wearing a black leather jacket that read "The King of Diamonds" came to the ring and started berating Danielson, telling him, "You've been given the opportunity of a lifetime and you've thrown it all away. You make me sick." After that the young man leveled "The American Dragon" with a spinning backfist. Danielson's assailant then left the ring through the crowd as security came down to the ring presumably to remove him. Powerhouse went off the air with Danielson, holding his jaw and watching the young man exit the arena.
That's it for "The RING OF GLORY Powerhouse Re-Wind" for February 8th. I'll be back in a couple of days with the results of the February 15th episode of RING OF GLORY Honor Guard. Including Hulk Hogan's peace offering to Andre the Giant after the events of BATTLEBOWL when the two got into a shoving match possibly costing Andre a championship match at WRESTLEREVOLUTION V.
