Saturday February 5th, 2011 Live from the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City New York WCW Saturday Night opened with a shot of WCW Saturday Night Commentators Mark Madden & “Enforcer” Bill Stubbington. The two men ran down the highlights from WCW Monday Nitro before introducing the new format for WCW Saturday Night. The two men explained that all the Marquee matches would be taking place from this point forward on Monday Nitro and the monthly WCW Pay Per Views. WCW Saturday Night from this point forward will be featuring the younger stars in WCW as they try to prove to both the fans and management that they have what it takes to compete in WCW. Stubbington also mentioned that once the WCW Television Championship Tournament was over the WCW Television Champion would be appearing on WCW Saturday Night every single week and he would be defending the title here at least twice a month.“American Dragon” Bryan Danielson defeated George South via submission after locking South in the Cattle Mutilation at the 3:23 mark of the match. George South started off strong, but quickly made an error that Danielson capitalized on and quickly locked on the Cattle Mutilation Following the match a video package was shown showing highlights of “Pure Original” Chris Sinclair’s appearance on TSN’s Off the Record (see post below for full interview).“Crimson Dragon” Brett Johnson defeated S.D. Jones via pinfall after nailing S.D. Jones with the Crimson Fang at the 7:23 mark of the match. Johnson pretty much dominated the wily veteran on this night. Richard Livingstone was then shown backstage with his fiancée Tammy Lynn Sytch. A video package highlighting their announcement was then shown before the two came out to the ring for the next match“The CEO” Richard Livingstone w/ Tammy Lynn Sytch defeated Mister X via pinfall after nailing Mr. X with the Corporate Execution at the 8:23 mark of the match. Richard Livingstone seemed to have one goal on his mind tonight as he toyed with Mister X for the most part of the match. Mister X did manage a brief offensive flurry when the CEO charged him in the corner and ended up stunned on the floor. Following the match the show changed to a shot of the WCW Saturday Night Commentators once again standing in front of the WCW Saturday Night backdrop. The two men quickly ran down the evening’s action before showing a video package highlighting the situations that led to tonight’s main event. Commissioner Charlie Cox was then shown in the ring. He asked for “Vigilante” Charles Seguin to come out to the ring. Charles came right out, Cox then said that the Vigilante’s opponent was ready and introduced his opponent as Giant X. Out came a 7’4” man dressed as Mister X’s big brother. Commissioner Cox then left the ring and let the match begin. Bill Stubbington then speculated that Giant X was in fact Andre the Giant. Mark Madden quickly disagreed saying that Giant X was a huge star working his way up on the indies and overseas. Madden then said he was the one who told Commissioner Cox about Giant X.MAIN EVENT:Giant X defeated “Vigilante” Charles Seguin via pinfall after connecting with the Big Splash at the 7:34 mark of the match. Giant X dominated most of the match the Vigilante at one point did register a near fall when he caught Giant X with the Death Sentence, but Giant X quickly put the momentum back in his favour when he caught the Vigilante with a Powerslam after catching the Vigilante coming off the top rope. Following the match Commissioner Cox then climbed into the ring with a chair. He sat in the chair and told Charles Seguin, who was still lying in the ring unconscious, over the mic that he was now free to follow his own path, but if the Vigilante ever got in the Commissioner’s face again then there would be hell to pay.

*NOTES* • This interview will include history that was created while my friends and I played WWE, WCW and ECW back in high school, all based on Filsinger Games Champions of the Galaxy (this was before Legends) • In it we all wrestled for WCW, WWE and ECW with our personal created wrestlers. • We also had three main bookers (One friend ran WWE, another ran ECW, and I ran WCW) • Title histories are loosely based on what I can remember from those days (most history was lost in a move, or two) • And finally, at one point our created characters appeared in all three feds at the same time, and held titles in each. • If you are not confused yet, they you just might be when I am done....lol enjoy. ChrisTape Date: February 2nd, 2011 Air Date: February 4th, 2011 The show opens with a shot of OTR Host Michael Landsberg sitting in a chair. He is dressed casually and opens the show. ML: Folks we have a special edition of Off the Record tonight, we are sitting down for a one on one interview with a man who nearly won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship this past weekend. Yes for those of you who missed the major announcement late last year. World Championship Wrestling is back in business, and so far according to our guest that business is booming. So without any more fanfare please let me welcome Guelph Ontario’s own, the “Pure Original” Chris Sinclair. The camera pans out to show Chris Sinclair sitting across a coffee table from Michael Landsberg. The reach across and shake hands, they then sit back and relax in their chairs as Landsberg continues. ML: So how was that introduction?CS: If you keep introducing your guests like that WCW may just have to hire you to handle the ring introductions for us.ML: Doesn’t former WCW ring announcer David Penzer do that for them already?CS: Yes he does. It was hard work getting so many of the former WCW on air talents back, but I am glad that we were able to do that. It really helps us build on the Legacy that was left when WCW went bankrupt in early 2001.ML: Speaking of which, I thought that name was owned by one of your major competitors.CS: It was, a group of investors came together and approached the people who owned the copyright and offered them a sum that as you can see they didn’t refuse. The hard part was getting WCW back on the air. As you know between that company and WCW’s former ownership they have an almost stranglehold on network television in the United States. It was great that CBS stepped up to the plate and gave WCW a killer timeslot that almost immediately started up the old Monday Night Wars pretty much right where they left off. So far the other company is beating us in the ratings, but I feel with the executive team we have in place WCW can regain its former glory and once again become the must see television show on Monday Nights.ML: Speaking of the Investor group are you at liberty to say who they are?CS: All I can say on that is no Brett Johnson and I are not investors in WCW. We did start up Royal City Wrestling together and later with the help of Brett’s trainer Donovan Black we expanded to become Canadian Championship Wrestling. When the opportunity came along to sell CCW and make way for the new WCW the three of us jumped at the chance. While CCW was killing in the ratings, like RCW it was losing a lot of money, and it was rapidly getting to the point where we couldn’t afford to keep the show on the air.ML: When RCW became CCW you held tournaments to crown new champions, why not just continue the championship lineage?CS: The decision to not carry over the title history was based on the fact that we wanted CCW to truly represent the long tradition that wrestling has held here. We could of easily named the CCW a World Champion, but we felt that by naming our top belt the Canadian Championship would help associate the belt with National Pride, which in a way worked out as both a negative and positive.ML: How so?CS: As a positive it did help our champion get national recognition. On the negative side it help to make CCW look like a smaller company then RCW was at the time we shut down to become CCW, so when the investors came along and wanted to purchase our resources it made complete sense for us to sell.ML: We have to take a quick break when we come back we’ll here Chris’ thoughts on the demise of the original WCW, and how he felt not getting resigned by the company that bought it out.QUIRKY FACT: Chris Sinclair was the only man to appear on a WWE, WCW & ECW PPV all in the same month. While wrestling under a mask he appeared as Falcon at WCW’s 97’ Bash at the Beach. As Captain Canuck he called out the US Patriot at WWE’s King of the Ring and in between that as the Black Panther he wrestled his long time friend and enemy Brett Johnson for ECW’s Heatwave all in June of 1997 he went 0-3 in those matches.ML: Welcome back as you know my guest today is WCW Wrestler “Pure Original” Chris Sinclair. Before the break I mentioned that in this segment we would be talking about your time wrestling for WCW, WWE & ECW all at the same time between 1997 & most of 1998.CS: Well back then I was on a pay per appearance deal with all three companies, and since I created three separate ring identities I was able to get away with it for nearly two years. Twice a month I would appear on either Monday Nitro or Monday Night Raw, and later in the same week I would generally appear at the ECW arena. I was running pretty hard for a long time there, and since I only did minor TV appearances for WCW and WWE I could get away with not making house shows. At the time I thought of myself a glorified enhancement talent for the WCW and the WWE. During that time I rarely competed for any championships. Then I decided I wanted to become the WCW Cruiserweight Champion, so I sat down with the old WCW management and finally signed a long term deal. ML: And ironically that was when you suffered your broken neck.CS: Yeah, it’s kinda funny I ran so hard for nearly two years, then when I slowed down I got hurt and missed the first year of my three year deal with WCW. Thankfully the guarantee was so low that I somehow managed to slip through the paperwork (laughs)ML: When you made your return to WCW in early 1999 you went on to win a record 10 Cruiserweight Championships.CS: Yeah the division was so intense back then that title changes were happening almost every week, I think the longest I reigned as champ at that time was six weeks, but it was tremendous blast and at the time it really took the focus off the main event wrestlers which is probably why I was suspended for apparently failing some sort of drug test.ML: For the record were you on anything that would have warranted the kind of suspension you received.CS: Other then the prescription pain killers I was on during my rehab and first few months back in the ring I haven’t taken a single drug in my life, and if you remember correctly almost the entire Cruiserweight Division was suspended along with me. I personally feel that by taking that excitement away from the fans led to the downfall of the Original WCW.ML: It was while you were sitting out that WCW was purchased and folded by its biggest rival. You and several other RCW, CCW and new WCW wrestlers weren’t picked up. How did that make you guys feel?CS: I can’t answer for Brett Johnson, Richard Livingstone, Andy Radke or the others, but personally I was devastated. For nearly five years I worked my @$$ off and that hard work wasn’t acknowledged. I took nearly a year off before I moved out west and tried starting up the very short lived Wild West Wrestling. I think that company lasted all of three weeks, after that I returned to Mexico were I lost my mask and reinvented myself as the “Pure Original.” While I was in Mexico also worked some dates with Brett Johnson in Japan, where H2K is still huge.ML: Quickly before we have to go to break again what is the brief history of H2K?CS: The original H2K was created by myself, Brett Johnson, Bill Stubbington & Nick Colley-Lussier. In the WCW we were seen as a sort of anti-horsemen or as the new generation of the Horsemen legacy it all depends on which fans you ask. In actuality were formed by the office as something that could keep the actual Four Horsemen busy while the n.W.o. ran wild over the rest of the show. That feud let too all four of us getting elevated higher on the WCW Card, but like everything that wasn’t n.W.o. at the time H2K was quickly dropped when we got too popular.ML: Folks we will be right back after this break and we will run Chris Sinclair through Next Question.QUIRKY FACT: H2K is still super popular in Japan. Everytime any member of the original H2K line up goes over seas they have to ship over hundreds of H2K t-shirts, so far none have ever made the return trip back to Canada.ML: Welcome back to OTR. Before we wrap up I want to quickly get your thoughts on losing to Antonio “Argentina” Rocca this past Sunday at the Clash of the Champions.CS: Rocca and I took each other to limits that I didn’t even know I had. We truly left everything in the ring on Sunday and I am proud to say that I lost to the better man. I wish Rocca the best of luck as he carries WCW on his shoulders for the time being. I think the fans knew that whoever won on Sunday would be the better man. Hell Rocca and I were in that Cage for nearly an hour. I haven’t had a match that intense in a long time and I am looking forward to getting another crack at Rocca sooner than later.ML: Okay time for Next Question. I’ll ask you a series of questions and feed you names of wrestlers and you give me your immediate thoughts. If you want you can pass on the question by saying Next Question. You ready?CS: Next Question ( Sinclair says with a straight face, momentarily throwing Landsberg off his game). ML: Very funny. First question where would you rather live? Mexico City or Guelph Ontario?CS: Guelph Ontario, all my friends and family are there.ML: Who came up with the name Falcon?CS: I did, it was either that or El Pantero Negro when I finished my training in Mexico.ML: Who was your trainer?CS: Blue Panther, a great technical wrestler who has been tearing the house down in Mexico for almost 35 years now.ML: Okay name association. First Antonio RoccaCS: A workhorse. He taught me how to find and access that fifth wind you need for an almost hour long match.ML: Eddie OsbourneCS: Great young talent, if he works hard he could be a main event guy in WCW in no time.ML: Richard LivingstoneCS: A fool. Tammy is playing him like a fiddle, why I have yet to figure out.ML: Speaking of Tammy Lynn Sytch, Tammy Lynn SytchCS: Beautiful and Manipulative. She has a great mind for this business.ML: And finally Brett Johnson.CS: A true friend. If I can count on any man always having my back it’s him. Even when we don’t see eye to eye.ML: Well Chris thanks for coming on the show. I wish you and the entire WCW locker room the best of luck as the company moves forward.CS: Thanks for having me.!!!FADE!!!

Yeah, nearly ever single pinfall, dq, or count out roll was beaten by one. I am looking forward to that feud building. On Monday Nitro Lynn is booked in an Extreme Rules Match against Sabu.

When asked why she would want the wedding right away Tammy said there was no time like the present for them to build their life together. She then leaned in and kissed Richard, after the kiss he turned around and was about to look over the document when she stopped him with another kiss this time she suggested that he should just sign the document as it had come straight from his lawyers office. The show then went to the Jumbo Tron that featured a shot of Richard Livingstone and Tammy Lynn Sytch entering a small wedding chapel on the Vegas strip. The two walked in and Richard paid for the ceremony that he was informed would be taking in about an hour as they were a little backed up at the moment. Extreme Rules MatchJerry Lynn defeated Sabu via pinfall after dropping Sabu on his neck with a vicious German suplex at the 14:45 mark of the match.
