I choose Duck Boy. But then again starting off with such a lame gimmick kind of made Zed Marlowe's rise up the card a bit more of an achievement.

Dark Justice getting run out of the GWF with no resolution on whether he had "used" steriods or not
mandrill, the conqueror of galaxies, cowering and fading to black at the sight of a bug guy.
Elemental Fury leaving was kinda disappointing.
Mensar's being pushed to the side was unfortuante, but at least Mark remedied that.

It was never in an official set, it was just a mention or so in the manuals. I would think that doesn't count, and obviously plays off actual crappy moves like that (Red Rooster, et al). I agree too about Mandrill. He rose to such a prominent, legendary villain, and his sendoff just sorta sucked. It didn't do a character like that justice.

Duck Boy was indeed intended to be Magnus Colby's answer to the Gobbledygooker. This is why I never made the official card, and gave Zed a good reason to be an angry young man.

The Terrorists.
post-9/11, it's really weird to think about how they were a part of the storyline.
and I really don't care that they weren't Arabs.

I thought it was a great gimmick, a pretty good back-story. and a really unique and cool card mechanic. I mean, there's been sheiks and terrorist type gimmicks for as long as pro wrestling has been around. Can't really fault Tom ...even retroactively.

Storyline-wise, there might have been a solid foundation for the backgrounds of the characters that were involved, but it still makes me feel a little uncomfortable.. it did back then, and it definitely does now.
As far as terrorist gimmicks having been around for a long time, I don't think most people view the team of Lo-Down or Muhammad Hassan attacking the Undertaker with his terrorist cell very favorably. (Though personally, I thought Muhammad Hassan was great before they introduced the terrorist cell angle).
Maybe we can't fault anyone retroactively... back ten years ago the norm for politically accepted was lower, and the bar was even lower ten years before that... but these products are still sold in 2008... and that is an entirely different topic of discussion.
Now, back on course.. how about Psycho and Frenzy? I've made it clear in the past that I didn't like the fur diaper, dishwashing gloves, and Native American head dress on Lightening, but Psycho and Frenzy was the best upgrade they could come up with?
