I've been watching some classic (not sure they're classic since so little was taped, but they're very interesting) old matches on youtube and it's having an influence on my fed in terms of wrestler alliances, feuds, and interviews I imagine in my head.
I looked up Johnny Valentine matches and was surprised to see a match with him against George Steele. Valentine won by pin. There was also Valentine vs Lou Thesz and Valentine again won by pin by using the tights, but still a victory over Thesz! I think I'll have them go at it in my fed.

Card 96 from Akron Armory. Countdown to Super Bowl of Wrestling coming on card 100.
The Sheepherders beat the Road Warriors by DQ when Animal smashed Oliver Humperdink with his own cane and also smashed Butch and Luke! Humperdink had been cheating and getting away with it the whole match and the Road Warriors lost their cool.
The Sheik retained the U.S. Belt by beating Gorgeous George in controversial fashion with a FIREBALL. George was seriously injured and removed on a stretcher. Captain Lou Albano swore revenge.
Frank Gotch beat Ivan Koloff in a Russian Chain Match but was attacked after he won by Harley Race who choked him with the chain. Race took the microphone and said "That's what happens to traitors and there's more where that came from!"
Lou Thesz won by DQ over Dick Hutton when the Gang of Four stormed the ring and attacked Thesz after he performed the THESZ PRESS.
Rick Rude and Sherri Martel defeated Val Venis and Nora Greenwald when Martel pinned Greenwald after the TOP ROPE SPLASH.
Sabu beat Brutus Beefcake in a surprisingly stellar match.
Mike DiBiase won by DQ over Virgil when Ted DiBiase attacked Mike and together Virgil and Ted double-teamed him while Ted grabbed a microphone and taunted his father calling him a "worthless deadbeat dad."
The Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff beat S.D. Jones and Koko B. Ware when Iron Sheik put the CAMEL CLUTCH on Jones.

Card 97 from Cobo Hall:
Jimmy Snuka electrified the fans by beating Rick Rude in 2 moves! Rude was preening and strutting and posing in his robe instead of wrestling and Snuka grabbed him from behind, whipped him into the ropes and delivered a big chop. He jumped on the turnbuckle and delivered a devastating SUPERFLY LEAP to end it!
Lou Thesz and Frank Gotch defeated Harley Race and Johnny Valentine when Lou used the THESZ PRESS to beat Valentine.
In another match that thrilled the fans Bobo Brazil destroyed Cowboy Dick Hutton in one minute delivering a series of COCO BUTTS to end it!
The Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff beat Diamond Dallas Page and Mike DiBiase when Iron Sheik pinned Page.
Mr. Fuji defeated Brutus Beefcake, throwing salt in the eyes of Beefcake to blind him without the referee seeing it.
Cousin Luke won by DQ over Masked Superstar II when the masked giant used his BACKBREAKER outside the ring on Luke, injuring him.
One Man Gang used the 747 SPLASH to beat Mister X with Hillbilly Jim watching outside the ring. One Man Gang was angry about Jim's appearance and Jim made him angrier by laughing and doing a hillbilly jig with a bottle of moonshine outside the ring.
Bryan Danielson used the CATTLE MUTILATION to beat Reginald Love despite interference by Hartford Love.

TV taping:
In an interview with Lord Layton Harley Race challenged Frank Gotch to a Finisher Match and Gotch accepted. Race is threatening to " humiliate the traitor once and for all."
Thesz and Valentine had a lot of words between each other on the tag match on the last card. They are scheduled to battle one on one in LA on the next card.
Jim Cornette has vowed that wrestling will beat "thug tactics and cheating" when his man Bryan Danielson battles the Sheik for the U. S. Belt in LA. Cornette did his interview holding a fire extinguisher. He complained that "if the commissioner won't stop the Sheik he will."
Matches already signed:
Road Warriors vs Sheepherders in a rematch.
Sheik vs Danielson
Frank Gotch vs Harley Race
Lou Thesz vs Johnny Valentine
Mike DiBiase and DDP vs Ted DiBiase and Virgil

Rude falls in two moves? Well, if it had to happen then I'm glad Snuka was the one to do it.

Mark, it was amazing. Heenan even tried to distract the ref but was unsuccessful. I expected a longer match but actually this turned out great as the fans went wild and Snuka is getting a legit title reign going.

Out of nowhere at TV taping in Buffalo:
Interviewer Bob Finnigan asked Abdullah Farouk if the Sheik will ever team up with the Iron Sheik since they have the name in common. Farouk was outraged and called the Iron Sheik "A pale imitation of the noble Sheik." and the United States Champion would "never lower himself to teaming with a crass imitator."
Later on the show when the Iron Sheik was interviewed by Lord Layton he went off on how he's an improvement on the original Sheik and his style is totally different. "Mr. Lord, I have class. I have wrestling skill. Original Sheik is nothing but animal. Bah, PHOOEY!" And with that Iron Sheik spit on the ground.
Nobody knows where this is going as the fans can't get behind either of the sheiks.

that could be trouble if both sheiks ever did team up. I would have to say they would be almost unstopable.
