LOL!!! - as much as I wanted Rick Rude to win the Gold, I could totally see that short match really happening.
The story with the two "Sheiks" is interesting. Im anxious to see where it goes.

THE ACTION NEVER STOPS!
Card 98 from Grand Olympic Auditorium.
The Road Warriors won by DQ over the Sheepherders when Sir Oliver interfered after Animal used the DOOMSDAY DEVICE on Butch. Sir Oliver smashed Animal with his cane and the Sheepherders proceeded to beat down the Road Warriors! This title feud is hot!
Bryan Danielson won by DQ over the Sheik when Abdullah Farouk interfered after CATTLE MUTILATION. Danielson had a great match and will get another shot at the United States Belt.
Harley Race used his PILEDRIVER to beat Frank Gotch in a Finisher Match.
Johnny Valentine used several ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHERS to beat Lou Thesz in a classic battle. After he won Valentine took the NWA World Championship Belt that Thesz brought to ringside even though the belt wasn't on the line. He later told an interviewer that he's the new NWA champion.
Bobo Brazil crushed the Masked Superstar with several COCO BUTTS and won the match but also took off the Superstar's mask momentarily! Masked Superstar II helped him cover his face.
Mike DiBiase and Diamond Dallas Page won by DQ over Ted DiBiase and Virgil when the rest of the Million Dollar Corporation stormed the ring after Mike hit the TOP ROPE KNEE DROP on Ted!
Masked Superstar II crushed Cousin Luke with the BACKBREAKER and as usual grabbed the microphone and proclaimed himself the "true giant of professional wrestling." Suddenly Andre the Giant appeared in street clothes and got into a shouting match with MS II who departed quickly.
Mr. Fuji used the BANZAI DROP to finish off Koko B. Ware.

TV taping:
Andre the Giant says he's got Masked Superstar II in his sights but first is the man who broke his ankle --- Ivan Koloff. He has challenged Koloff to a return Russian Chain Match at the Super Bowl of Wrestling. Doctors are urging Andre to rest a while longer but Andre can't be stopped, he wants to come back NOW!
Johnny Valentine entered the studio with the NWA World Belt on his shoulder. Lord Layton said the belt wasn't on the line and he must return it to Lou Thesz but Valentine said, "Where I come from if you beat a man in the middle of the ring you're the new champion. If Thesz wants the belt he knows where to find me."
Already signed for card 99:
World Champion Jimmy Snuka vs Mr. Fuji.
3-Man Elimination Tag: Lou Thesz, Bobo Brazil, Frank Gotch vs. Harley Race, Johnny Valentine, Cowboy Dick Hutton.
S.D. Jones vs Ivan Koloff in a Russian Chain Match.
Andre the Giant vs the Love Brothers in a handicap match.
Rob Van Dam vs Jerry Lynn in a Falls Count Anywhere Match.

Itching to see those results Tom. Any plans to bring the Destroyer back into your legends fed? In mine using original set he has been incredible going 13-2 (1 defeat was by DQ) but left for another territory being frustrated at not getting the credit deserved and title matches. I didn't actually realise how well he had done until at year end I totted up win/loss records.

No plans for the Destroyer right now Wayne, although I could do a good mask vs mask feud with Masked Superstars.

Card 99 at Akron Armory.
World Champion Jimmy Snuka won by DQ over Mr. Fuji when Fuji resorted to throwing salt in his eyes and the referee caught him.
The Gang of Four won a 3-Man Tag-Team Elimination Match against the Legends with the following results:
Harley Race used his PILEDRIVER to beat Lou Thesz.
Johnny Valentine eliminated Bobo Brazil after repeated ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHERS.
The three remaining heels were thrilled to have Frank Gotch to themselves and Valentine pinned a bloody Gotch after delivering the ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER. After the match the 3 heels continued beating on Gotch until Andre the Giant stormed the ring!
Jerry Lynn defeated Rob Van Dam in a Falls Count Anywhere Match.
Ivan Koloff crushed S. D. Jones in less than a minute in a Russian Chain Match! First he punched Jones with the chain then applied the RUSSIAN BEAR HUG!
With Ivan Koloff at ringside Andre the Giant won a Handicap Match in about a minute against the Love Brothers by pulverizing Hartford Love with the BIG SPLASH! Ivan waved his chain at Andre but when Andre left the ring to confront him the Russian fled.
Diamond Dallas Page won by DQ over Ted DiBiase. DiBiase was originally declared the winner but his father was at ringside and grabbed Ted and removed his loaded glove and showed the referee the illegal object inside it. Ted was disqualified and the rancor between father and son led to a challenge for a Loser Leaves Town Match at the Super Bowl of Wrestling.
Virgil used the CAMEL CLUTCH to defeat Mike DiBiase.
ONWARDS TO THE SUPER BOWL!
