ELIMINATION MATCH
Rikidozan, Antonio Inoki, Giant Baba def. Mr. Saito, Mr. Fuji, Abdullah the Butcher Show Notes: The Jeepers got their second title shot on the tour and the Midnight Express looked great in this one. They double teamed both opponents easily and took two falls in a row. Kahagas fought hard, lasted some time, and got his shots in, but Thesz was too much. The champ defended the title again in two straight falls. Abdullah landed the big elbow drop early but he was the first eliminated by Baba's Neckbreaker Drop. Inoki forced Fuji to submit in the Octopus Hold. Saito didn't give up and took out Baba with his patented suplex before Inoki ended the match with an enzuigiri.

I'm just wondering about the awarding of coins after a match. What does that mean?

Sometimes I will note how many coins the wrestler had on their card after the match. Above, six is a lot. That's the fatigue coins added after an unsuccessful pin attempt. Abdullah's pin rating was up to 7 in that match.

BEST 2/3 FALLS ALL-ASIA HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Lou Thesz (ch) def. Joe Blanchard, 2-0
1st fall: virtually all Joe Blanchard but he could not get the fall on Thesz and after a very long time Thesz tied him up for a three-count (Thesz 4 coins). Thesz never gave Blanchard a chance in the second fall, hitting an airplane spin and then the Thesz Press to score the second fall and retain the title.
BEST 2/3 FALLS ALL-ASIA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
The Midnight Express (ch) def. The New Age Outlaws, 2-0
The MX destroy the Road Dogg in the first fall with Stan Lane finally pinning him after a Russian Leg Sweep. Billy Gunn never got in the ring. The NAO got some things going in the second fall but Eaton and Lane kept the pressure on. After the Veg-O-Matic the Road Dogg hit the ring and started a brawl that wouldn't stop and the Outlaws were DQed.

BEST 2/3 FALLS ALL-ASIA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP The Midnight Express (ch) def. The Sheepherders, 2-1 Show Notes: A pair of spectacular title matches! Lou Thesz won the title on the previous tour and made five title defenses, then made five on the current Japan Invasion Tour. Inoki was starting to wear Thesz down but the Thesz Press gave the champ the first fall. Inoki came back and the Enzuigiri put Thesz down to even the match. Final fall Inoki's work during the match led to the Octopus Hold getting the submission and the title changed hands! New Zealanders went nuts for their guys the Sheepherders in the main event! The champs won the first fall after Butch Miller was nailed off the ropes. The Sheepherders were put to the test but won the second fall with two double gutbusters on Bobby Eaton. Lord Jonathan Boyd interferred to keep the Sheepherders alive. Saves were made as both teams were hitting huge moves. A final Flapjack finished off Butch Miller (8 coins) and Jim Cornette's men retained the tag team titles. The Japan Invasion Tour comes to a close with Wrestling Dontaku on ppv!

NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Jimmy Snuka (ch) def. Lou Thesz Show Notes: Bob Roop overcame interference by J.J. Dillon to take the World TV title from Tully Blanchard. The World Six-Man tag elimination was as explosive as you would think! Hansen blasted Hawk with the lariat his first time in the ring for the pin. Animal eliminated Brody. Andre and Animal could not get rid of Bundy for a long time. They took damage as well but Andre finally squashed Bundy for the pin. All-Asia tag team champions the Midnight Express came away with the NWA World tag team titles in a great match against the Blackjacks. The double goozel put DiBiase down. Rikidozan very quickly captured the I-C belt from Don Muraco. Antonio Inoki was in the fight of his life but showed amazing heart. Abdullah completely carved him up but Inoki won both falls with the Enzuigiri. Mr. Saito and Mr. Fuji attacked the defenseless Inoki after the bout. Superfly Jimmy Snuka did what he does, coming off the top rope to beat Lou Thesz and retain the World heavyweight title.
