Just over a month away, here is the posted State of the WtrestleReunion (LA) address:
I wanted to give everybody an update since we’re just over one month away. If you have any questions that are not addressed in this post, please post a reply and we’ll try and keep it on topic instead of sprinking into the talent announcements.
First, VIPs are limited to 100 and we’re expecting to close in on that number in the very near future. I’d be surprised if it didn’t sell out prior to the New Year. Because we are giving photo ops and autographs to all VIPs this year, we have to be realistic about how much time its going to take, and therefor we’re limiting it to a strict/solid 100. If you’re certain you’re coming but you haven’t purchased a ticket yet, feel free to write Amber and she can keep you updated when/if you need to move on them immediately.
Amber will be writing to all VIPS starting in January and individually coordinating with each VIP guest whatever unique requests things that are needed. If you want to buy extra autographs, she’ll take that information at that time. If you want to “build your own” rather than taking the 1 photo op and 1 autograph from everybody, you can tell her at that time or anytime prior to the start of the convention.
In regards to talent, we have one vendor that is claiming to bring in about 8 guests and they haven’t announced any of their names yet. We have three other vendors that are bringing in 1 talent each, one of which will be a person making their first ever convention appearance and is on the “short list” of everybody on the east coast. Therefore, my best guess on future vendor announcements is 11 at this time. As soon as we get signed contracts back from these vendors/talents, we’ll confirm these on the site immediately.
There will be 20 people in the Rumble. We may not even announce everybody in advance because we like surprises, but you can probably figure it out looking around the vendor room on who can still put on the tights and who cannot.
Although we couldn’t deliver Mickie James to WrestleReunion, we are going to bring her to Frank and Sons on January 14th to promote our convention. We will offer to any of our LA VIPS discounts on “extras” the same way we would have offered if she was able to attend the convention. More details on this will follow soon.
We haven’t forgotten about video ops or deluxe photo ops, we’ll make annoucements about those all at once rather than cluttering up the boards with each announcement. They will all be put on the website for sale as soon as they are all finalized. We will be limiting the video ops this year to only 2 or 3 because we had several last year that only had 1 or 2 people participating. We base alot of demand from the previous year and obviously video ops were not in great demand outside of Piper.
The most important thing you can do for us is to make hotel reservations NOW if you haven’t done so already. The only way this convention works is if we fill enough room nights that the hotel wants the convention back in the future. By making a reservation in our WrestleReunion block, your credit card is not charged at this time and is cancellable up until 24 hours prior to arrival, so there is no reason to not do that right now. We only get credit for reservations made in our block two weeks prior to the event, so making a last minute reservation doesn’t help us in future negotiations with the hotel.
