I have been going back and forth in my head on how to run my fed for the longest time, and it's almost to the point where I may just give up. LOL. No seriously!
I am not sure how to format my fed. By that I mean, should I incorporate TV shows, house shows and occasional Supercards/PPV's, or just regular card after regular card after regular card, if that even makes sense.
The format I have now (prior to starting) has a TV show being held every Friday night. I have house shows (or Live Events) scheduled after every 2nd or third TV show. A couple "Saturday Night Main Event" type cards are scheduled twice in the year, replacing two of the house shows. And 4 bigger shows (PPV's or Supercards), in March, June, August & December. This adds up to 74 cards in my first year.
I'm just not sure this is the way I want to do this. The 2nd format I was thinking of doing it was simply to have 1 card per week. A TV show every Friday. However, as with above, after every 2nd or 3rd TV show, the next would be replaced with a house show (instead of making it an additional show). So in hindsight, there wouldn't be a TV show every week. There would indeed be a show every week, but it may be a TV, house or PPV. This adds up obviously to only 52 cards per year.
The 3rd format I'm thinking of is pretty much the same as the 52 card per year format, except every card would either be a TV show (and occasional PPV) OR every card would be a house show, no mix and match.
And lastly, the final much simpler format I am considering is just to have 25 cards a year, all house shows with 1 or 2 PPV's.
I'm sure this all sounds absolutely ridiculous, trust me I KNOW!!! And I hate it, I think I think WAY too much. I commend each of you who are running your feds and sticking to them, I really do. I wish I could come up with a format I like and stick to my guns.
If anyone has any input regarding this, PLEASE feel free to add your 2 cents. Thanks in advance.
Mike
