While that was a beautiful moment, it was bittersweet because you knew Hogan was going to win at WM.
A few years ago I created Savage on HCTP and took him all the way through a season. Good times.
Back then, I actually thought Savage was going to beat Hogan. Heck, in my mind, Savage was the face and Hogan was the heel! Then again, Hogan was pretty much always a heel to me.
This week I've been rewatching the PPVs of 1989 and much preferred Savage as a heel with Sherri Martel in tow. This was my favourite year of the WWF (despite the fact I had to wait till around 1992 to see it).
