I hate how the community is split into three groups now. I miss having everyone on one board. We're not really big enough for three... I miss talking to certain people and having great conversations all in one place. Sure there was discord sometimes, but let's be honest... those made for some interesting times. I understand why there are 3, but does anyone else share this sentiment?

This board has always had one goal....to be the official board of Filsinger Games, open to new members as well as old. And the topics as such are meant to be strictly about FG and all of its products. Some may view it as "strict" or "confining", but frankly it was the only way to keep things on task and devoid of any of the unpleasantness, controversy, and bickering that was prevalent in another life.
There are other places people can go to be friends and talk about regular wrestling, sports, life, or whatever. But in the interests of providing a welcome place for everybody -- not just the regulars -- this forum was designed to be strictly about COTG and LOW.
There are lots of products and services out there who have an official, strictly-run site with tons of unofficial "fan" sites that allow people to do or say whatever they want. But you can't have cliques, infighting, intolerance, and bullying on what is meant to be an online face of a business.
That's my 2 cents anyway.

Oh I understand why this board exists. I don't think there is anything wrong with it. What it does though is takes people and throws them in different places. There are a lot of people I don't converse with on a regular basis because of that, and that sucks for me.

The discord had the ability to be interesting at times, but it also just fractured the community. Would it be great if everyone could just get along? Absolutely, but that's a pipe dream - this is the internet we're talking about here. So in the absence of that ideal, I think that having a distributed community where everyone can find a flavor of board that suits them, no matter what they're looking for, is probably our best option.

Everyone not getting along was what made it fun. What fun is it when everyone is a robot that has the same opinion as everyone else. At the same time, I agree that this place is what it should be, a board for people to go for official Filsingergame news. It just shocks me that that some of the same people who rip on this board for "Having to mind your P's and Q's" are the same ones who worked so hard to destroy the old one. I do miss the old times, though. I might have to dig up Knapik's old "Remember When" thread. I don't think that was the title but it was a good comilation of some of the fun stuff.

See I think a distributed community will only hinder things. I'm all for tight-knit. Not everyone will get along, but that's okay. More ideas and more contribution to each idea.

Tight-knit is fine, cliquey is bad. The community very much had the tendency to be the latter, not the former.
And while we might like a single community, there are a lot of people who wouldn't be a part of the COTG internet community at all if there was only one place for them to participate. There's value to that. I really believe that the more people that participate in the COTG internet community, no matter which board best suits their personality, the better off the community is going to be. That's why I think the rules are so important here - it needs to be a neutral ground where everyone can be welcome.
Havoc, thank you for not making me ban you. ;D

I fully agree with this. However, I just don't see it ever happening and I will leave it at that and not elaborate fuller as I don't want to go down that road again.
