GWF Classics #10: Legacy of Honor 06.24.2075 from Deimos, Mars
Blood vs. Moonstrike Moonstrike defeated Blood with a DQ at 2:06 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: After the finish of the tag match these two took part in on the last card, who knows what could happen?
Blood started things off and sought to keep things on the ground. A takeover led to a chickenwing, but Moonstrike was eventually able to roll out of the hold and hit a big missile dropkick on Blood!
Blood rolled out of the ring and a huge brawl erupted! The ref tried to restore order, but Blood was taking it to the Titan! He drew a DQ after ramming Moonstrike head first into the steel ringpost!
Solar Flare ran out to aid his bloodied partner, but Jammer wasn't far behind and soon more officials poured out to keep the peace.
Defiance vs. Paladin Power has turned into quite the little feud! With the top of the tag ranks being muddy at best, will this war determine who's next in line for a shot?
Bullwhip vs. Vortex Bullwhip defeated Vortex with a tombstone at 11:36 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: Vortex made his way out to a nice high energy reaction. He had Thetis' name written on his arm tape. Emotions were clearly running high for the young tag team specialist. How would he fare without his partner?
Bullwhip, one half of the tag champions made his way out hoisting the title in the air. He grabbed a mic in the ring.
"Listen punk, I'm gonna get to you in a second, but I got some business to attend to first. Omega, Morpheus! Listen up, boys. Tonite, you got two choices. Sign that contract and seal your fates... Or walk away in fear, forever branded COWARDS! Now, as for you, Vortex, I'm sorry your partner got in the way of me and a table, but I ain't about to spare you any mercy son..."
The match was hot right away as Bullwhip took it to the youngster with a fury. His brawling style was just too much in the early going of the match.
He would use his finisher three times and even busted open Vortex on the outside! Somehow the battered youngster came back!
The fans were hot and on his side as he took it to Bullwhip and even scored a couple of near falls!
Eventually, Vortex hit a stunning corss body from the top, but somehow Bullwhip got the shoulder up! A flying forearm was caught with a huge boot! Bullwhip hits a vicious tombstone and the bloodied Cross Current member couldn't get the shoulder up.
Bullwhip soaked in the boos and raised his tag title high.
- - Non-Title Match - - Omega vs. Commander Sam Omega defeated Commander Sam with a TOMAHAWK THRUST at 2:53 Match Rating: 0.10 Match Notes: Commander Sam made his way out to a good ovation from the crowd, but it was nothing compared to the reaction to the Galaxian Champion's pop!
The two men shook hands before the bout began, nothing but respect and admiration coming from the young man from Earth.
The match got off to a hot start with some nice chain wrestling. Omega pressing his advantage, but Sam whipped Omega into the ropes, Omega ducked under an axe bomber and came off the ropes nearly knocking Sam out of his boots with a rolling elbow!
Sam stumbled out of the ring and looked out of it!
Omega refused to leave the ring and the ref began the count. Somehow, Sam was able to make it back to the ring, but it was all elementary.
Omega hit the TOMAHAWK THRUST for the 1,2,3!
After the bout, Omega helped Sam to his feet and shook his hand.
Sam had been humbled, but he took it like a man.
K.O. Keller vs. Ricken Prince Ricken Prince defeated K.O. Keller with a BOW TO THE PRINCE at 2:34 Match Rating: 0.00 Match Notes: Things are heated between these two going into this one! The axe to grind goes back to Ricken Prince's encourgament of Screw's rule-breaking ways and paying the fines for Screw's actions in two consecutive matches against Keller that resulted in DQ victories for the man with the Iron Hands. While he has vowed to get to Screw soon, he requested this bout with Prince to teach him a lesson.
It was a back and forth hi-impact affair while it lasted! Keller pressed his advatnage, but Prince seemed to have an answer for everything.
The finish saw Prince evade a charging clothesline in the corner and Keller careened into the ring post! Prince hit BOW TO THE PRINCE to the ignorance of the ref and got a quick win!
Keller and the fans were hot as Prince cackled over the victory!
Blacklash vs. Morpheus Blacklash defeated Morpheus with a SUNDOWN at 8:09 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: These two wasted little time, cutting right throught the fanfare and introductions.
Morpheus controlled the early going using a combination of wrestling and power moves to keep Blacklash on the defensive.
The man from Dorado came back, though, and was able to hit three consecutive SUNDOWNs to put Morpheus in real danger!
The match spilled outside and Morpheus was busted open after careening with ringpost!
Back inside, though, Morpheus battled back! He scored a couple near-falls.
The action from here on out was a total brawl! Back and forth with neither man back down.
Blacklash ratcheted it up a notch with a moonsault, a vicious whip to the turnbuckle, and a devastating fourth and final SUNDOWN scored a huge win for Blacklash!
Morpheus was hot after and shoved off medical attention!
Would he be present for the contract signing later? And how can it not become anything other than a brutal brawl when these four men are in the ring later?
- #1 Contender Match - Torin Caelum vs. Screw Screw defeated Torin Caelum with a mid-air catch power-slam at 22:08 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: This was an incredible match! Caelum controlled the beginning after some jockeying for position. He pressed his advantage using his classic technical style, but Screw was able to match him!
In fact, Screw spent the majority of the match "wrestling" much to everyone's shock. He used his power to his advantage and nearly stunned Torin with a pinfall, but Caelum kept battling back.
Even a FREAKISH FACE SLAM couldn't put him away, but it did bust the Saggita Strangler open! !
Stil it was back and forth and tons of hi-impact moves were used. They mixed it up in multiple styles, but Screw usually won the brawl, while Caelum was able to get the advantage on the mat.
Caelum kicked out of a second finisher! And made a huge comeback, but the finish came suddenly. Caelum locked in CAELUM'S GRIP and Screw almost had to tap, but he made the ropes. As he rolled on the ground in pain, Caelum uncharacteristically mounted the top for a beautiful cross body, but Screw caught his bloody opponent in mid-air, twisiting through for a brutal ring-shaking powerslam that gave Screw the 1,2,3! And the #1 Contendership! Get ready! At GWF #11, Screw will have a title shot against Omega!!!
- -Contract Signing- - The ring was decked out with a table and chairs and no less than 4 referees, 6 other officials, two members of the rankings committee, and our ring announcer.
The tag team champs made their way to the ring in street clothes and cowboy hats. The titles draped over their shoulders. Bullwhip held the leather folder with the contracts and a lawyer from Dorado accompanied them.
The Guardians came out together. Morpheus' forehead was bandaged from his encounter with Blacklash earlier and he did not look happy. A lawyer from Deimos accompanied them as well.
This was short and simple.
BULLWHIP: Well, boys... What do you say? Are you game? Or are you yellow?
Omega practically had to hold Morpheus back, but the table kept him from going straight for either of the champs.
The Galaxian champ looked a little tentative about signing. The lawyers looked the contract over and we were informed it was binding and that should Dorado Sundown when, they would be the controlling power in the GWF.
Morpheus signed right away and Omega solemnly followed suit.
Blacklash and Bullwhip laughed as they closed the folder and Blacklash grabbed the mic.
BLACKLASH: Ya'll just sealed your own damned fates! And the fate of the GWF! Because, when we meet in about 60 days for these tag team titles and control of this fed, it will be in a Dorado Death Match! Last men standing win! Oh, and in Dorado, when it's a tag match... We do it elimination style! See you fellas in 60 days!!! With this bombshell we cut to black!

GWF Classics #11: Boiling Point 08.02.2075 from Deimos, Mars
Defiance vs. Paladin Power Moonstrike defeated Jammer with a PALADIN DROP at 15:10 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: This was sure to be a hotly contested bout after the interactions between these four over the past few months.
Solar Flare took it to Blood early on and both teams made use of frequent tag work both on the offensive and defensive.
It was a back and forth affair all the way. The match ahd a great flow and told a great story. The Titans seemed to use a mix of ground holds with flurries of high impact, while Defiance sought to use more strikes and power moves.
The finish saw Blood make a hot tag to Jammer, but Moonstrike met him with force and ducked a clothesline hitting a beautiful springboard drop kick! Jammer was reeling and nearly made a tag, but Moonstrike caught him with the PALADIN DROP to score a convincing win.
Post match Flare and Moonstrike extended their hands. Seeking to put a nail in this feuds coffin. There was a very tense moment, but eventually, begrudgingly, Blood and Jammer accepted the shake and then left the ring.
Paladin Power once again finds themselves poised at the top of the tag division. When will the shot come?
Commander Sam vs. Santon Santon defeated Commander Sam with an atomic knee drop at 9:29 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: This was a great contest that saw both men control portions of the bout.
It started out hot with a great sequence of moves that saw Sam get the first upper hand, but it wouldn't be long before Santon came back.
Midway, Sam came charging in with a splash in the corner, but Santon moved and Sam was sent careening from the ring to the floor! Santon came off the top with a big axe-handle! Sam was out of it and Santon rolled in, nearly winning by countout.
Santon would hit the SPIKE PILEDRIVER, but Sam got the shoulder up which drew a huge pop!
Sam would comeback, but it was to no avail, Santon rallied big and hit an atomic kneedrop for the win.
Torpor vs. Trotarus Trotarus defeated Torpor with a MENSAN LOCK at 5:11 Match Rating: 2.25 Match Notes: This was an intense bout that saw both men jockey for position early.
Trotarus used his size to push the advantage, though and wore Torpor down.
One spot saw both men go down hard after a double clothesline!
The Mensan would bounce back, though and eventually put Torpor away after a devastating lariat he locked in the MENSAN LOCK and Torpor tapped out!
K.O. Keller vs. Ricken Prince K.O. Keller defeated Ricken Prince with a top rope fist drop at 8:03 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: KO Keller was accompanied by Commander Sam to ensure Prince wouldn't result to any dirty tactics... Or could it perhaps also be because he was looking for a distraction...
The match got off to a great start as they volleyed back and forth for control.
Keller would score a near fall after a heart punch and then tossed Prince from the ring.
What happened next was shocking, if fitting and cheered by the fans. Sam distracted the ref as KO Keller waffled Prince with a chair!!!
He rolled him back in and soon hit a top rope fist drop to get the pinfall victory over his heated rival... But at what cost? And have we seen the last of this...
- 2/3 Falls - Dorado Sundown vs. The Crosscurrents for the Galaxian Tag Team Championship Blacklash defeated Vortex with a falling axe handle at 9:10 Bullwhip defeated Vortex with a tombstone at 10:24 Match Rating: 2.50 Match Notes: This match was signed against Dorado Sundown's wishes. But the committee and the founders thought the CrossCurrents deserved a rematch after their DQ victory a couple months ago!
Blacklash and Bullwhip were all business though. And for 10 straight minutes they brutalized Vortex! Thetis tried to get in and attempted to break up pinfalls, but The men from Dorado were just way too much for them.
The first fall came after a falling axe handle from Blacklash and a few minutes later Bullwhip tombstoned him for the second straight fall.
The champs stood strong in the ring and Blacklash grabbed a mic.
BLACKLASH: Guardians! What hope can you have? What chance is there? You ARE looking at the men who will take over your beloved GWF! Come Septmeber tenth, there will be no escape! Dorado Sundown made a strong statement here!
- 2/3 Falls - Omega vs. Screw for the Galaxian Championship Omega defeated Screw with an Indian Death Lock at 10:02 Omega defeated Screw with a TOMAHAWK THRUST at 15:10 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: Screw was peppered with boos as he gets the big chance for the richest prize in the game.
The champ made his way out to a huge pop.
And the champ earned every bit of it as he laid a huge beatdown on Screw! Fans couldn't help but be shocked as Omega methodically took the big man apart!
He threw everything he had at him and forced a submission with an Indian Death Lock after wearing him down and even bloodying the former POW champ after a COSMIC WAR DANCE.
But perhaps the real story here was Screw's escape from no less than 6 pin attempts. Including a Cosmic War Dance and a Tomahawk Thrust.
Omega never left the ring, though Screw tried to get him outside.
Eventually Omega got a convincing win after his second TOMAHAWK THRUST.
As the champ celebrated, Dorado Sundown made their way to the ring and slid in. The confrontation was tense and it looked like DS was about to lay a major beatdown on the champ when Morpheus made his way out through the crowd to even the odds!
The four men stared each other down as the show came to a close!

GWF Classics #12: One Year Anniversary: War for Control 09.10.2075 from Deimos, Mars
The Crosscurrents vs. The Mensans Vortex defeated Trotarus with a DQ at 5:46 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: The Mensans hadn't seen action in a while and were eager to make an impact on this card! The CrossCurrents, meanwhile, had battled with the tag team champions and just hadn't been able to handle their brutality and power.
Trotarus and Vortex traded blows early on, but Thetis came in and took it to the big man.
Cordsar would come in on the offensive and attempted to put Thetis away, but the Thalassian would not tap.
The match devolved into a brawl when Troatarus and Vortex couldn't seem to keep it in the ring. The big Mensan drew the DQ outside the ring after a chair came into play!
Commander Sam vs. Torpor Commander Sam defeated Torpor with a STAR SPANGLED BANNER at 3:32 Match Rating: 2.50 Match Notes: Sam has continued to get the best of his Cygnusian enemy. It seemed fitting to pair the two off one year later. Would the outcome be the same?
Sam has stumbled lately, but there's no doubt he's growing as a competitor.
Torpor has been a quiet addition to the infant promotion and hasn't done much over the past year. One wonders how much longer he'll hang around without stringing some wins together.
Sam was on fire from the opening bell, though. He brought the fight big time and proved, once again, his willingness to mix it up outside. He even got a chair shot to Torpor left shoulder at one point!
Back inside a top rope fist drop led to THREE consecutive STAR SPANGLED BANNERS for a convincing win!
Sam celebrated with some ringside fans after the match. He may not always play by the rules, but the fans are enjoying the fire he brings into the ring each time!
- POW Rules - K.O. Keller vs. Ricken Prince K.O. Keller defeated Ricken Prince with a falling fist to face at 2:06 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: These two rivals have mixed it up in and out of the ring lately. Prince's sway over Screw has proven a particular thorn in Keller's side and possibly kept him from reascending the ranks towards another title shot.
They traded punches after feeling one another out, Prince went for a kick, but Keller caught it and nailed a heart punch! Prince was reeling already but managed to avoid getting pinned.
It was all downhill from there and two falling fists to the face in a row were enough to secure another convincing win and possibly seal this feud up.
- #1 Contender Match - Defiance vs. Paladin Power Blood defeated Moonstrike with a SCAR TISSUE at 3:53 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: These men are no strangers and their matches have been characterized by stiff intensity and a break neck pace.
This one was no different! Moonstrike started off aggressively and had Jammer reeling.
But the former POW rival hit a reversal and locked in BAD NIGHT!
Moonstrike wouldn't tap and Jammer just cinched in the hold even more! Flare desperately tried to make a tag, but Jammer had him in the middle of the ring. Blood made a blind tag and Jammer allowed him to transition into SCAR TISSURE!
A bloody Moonstrike finally passed out and the match was awarded to Defiance!
Torin Caelum vs. Screw Screw defeated Torin Caelum with a DQ at 10:07 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: Torin Caelum once again tore apart the psycho with the meticulous craftsmanship he's known for. The SAGITTA STRANGLER had the match well in hand, but Screw took to the outside and Ricken Prince had made his way down...
Caelum was in the ring as Prince distracted the ref! Screw came back in with a chair!
Then he hit himself in the face with it and tossed it at Caelum! Torin caught the chair as Screw played possum and Prince urged the ref to turn around.
Seeing the situation and checking on Screw and seeing the dent in the chair... Torin Caelum was DQd!!! What is this?!
- -Dorado Death Match- For Control of the GWF - - Dorado Sundown vs. The Guardians for the Galaxian Tag Team Championship Bullwhip defeated Morpheus with a TWELVE O'CLOCK HIGH at 26:58 Bullwhip defeated Omega with a TWELVE O'CLOCK HIGH at 34:12 Match Rating: 4.25 Match Notes: Ladies and gentlemen this n ext contest is your MAIN EVENT! It is the Dorado Death Match, there are no countouts, no disqualifications, after a successful pinfall or submission a competitor has to a count of ten to reach his feet without the aid of their partner or they will be eliminated from this fight to a finish! There is NO time limit! And it is for the Galaxian Tag Team Titles with the added stipulation that if Dorado Sundown wins the match, they will be the new controlling power of the GWF!
The challengers made their way to the ring looking all business. Morpheus exuded menace and even Omega had ratcheted up his usual intensity.
The Champs came down looking cocky, but you could tell there was nothing but deadly seriousness behind their eye.
This was going to be a brutal affair.
The bell rang and the action saw all four men go big in the early going.
Blacklash was brutalized early on by superb tag work from Omega and Morpheus. The founding fathers looked to have things well in hand, but the champs were not to be underestimated!
They came back in a big way and put Morpheus through hell! Blacklash had been busted up earlier when Morpheus introduced him to the steel ringpost, now it was the cowboy's turn... Morpheus bled buckets and Bullwhip tombstoned him on the announce table!
Somehow Morpheus came back and nearly put Bullwhip away with three straight finishers! Neither man could barely stand, but they somehow kept slugging away.
Finally, around the 27 minute mare, Bullwhip was able to put him away after two consecutive finishers. Morpheus couldn't answer the 10-count and Omega was now forced to go it alone!
The Galaxian champion gave it everything he had and took it to both men BIG TIME! Blacklash was nearly out on his feet and Bullwhip was soon wearing the crimson mask after a COSMIC WAR DANCE!
But the men from Dorado came back BIG! Omega was bloodied and piledriven on the conrete floor!
To the utter shock of the entire arena, Bullwhip pinned the champion and took control of the infant GWF after a brutal TWELVE O'CLOCK HIGH!
Fans were stunned into silence as Omega was unable to answer the 10-count.
The winners and new controllers of the GWF are Blacklash and Bullwhip! Dorado Sundown has taken over!!! What will happen to the GWF?!?! Blood has been shed over the future of this company... Can it surivive? And what will happen to the Guardians now?!?
Overall Card Rating: 2.71

Awesome stuff. I can't believe the amount of work you put into writing up results. The Guardians/Dorado Sundown stuff is so well executed and I can't wait to see where this goes next.

Awesome stuff. I can't believe the amount of work you put into writing up results. The Guardians/Dorado Sundown stuff is so well executed and I can't wait to see where this goes next. It's funny, I've known tiger samurai since we were both teenagers, and I can honestly say that his best work (and probably mine too) actually came from that high school period when everyone is an overachiever and also has the time to fully commit to a GWF fed. But old habits die hard and tiger samurai still puts a similar effort as the awesome stuff he had back then... I agree that this is my favorite classics fed to read too.

Thanks guys. Been having a lot of fun with it lately.
Chewey's right. It's crazy to think of that being almost 13 years ago. And that I've been playing for almost 20 years off and on. I think it was April of '94 when I got the 2087 set in the mail. And to think of the folks doing it longer, too.
Anyway, those old write-ups were like short stories. How we ever found the time to write them AND read them, who knows? It was usually the most insane stuff we could think of. ECW to the next level, Big Japan with twisted WWF personalities and ECW knockoffs mixed with some genuinely original stuff. And of course all the characters were beasts, haha. Lots of +5s and 4(1)s. Because it was mostly bootleg stuff, at least for me.
And of course, back then I was rolling it all out in real time. These days I use cotgonline. In a way I miss the old style, but this way I have time to do the write-ups. Which, like chewey said, are even shorter than they used to be... Tho, sometimes I get carried away.
After all these years, I still love it. It's a natural extension of me being a wrestling fan. Which damn near feels stitched into my dna. It's always been so much fun. Something to get excited about. So yeah, thanks again. I'll be posting more in the next few days.
Oh and chewey, congrats on your engagement. I know it's belated, but all the same
By the way, The Guardians/Dorado Shundown stuff is hot right now. On the next card, Omega defends against Blacklash in a 2/3 Falls Count Anywhere match!

Oh and chewey, congrats on your engagement. I know it's belated, but all the same Thanks TS! By the way, I've gone back and read some old stuff before from old fed writeups and I've come to realize that while our stuff probably wasn't as good as I thought it was at that time, a lot of our stuff was still pretty good. Better than anything I'm willing to put the time into creating now. So while long writeups may seem like a bit much, it's a great time capsule to keep for yourself to read ten or fifteen years down the line. That's one of the neatest things about this game that I had no idea I would enjoy so much years later.
