Thanks for the comments Stu!
I really value the titles highly. I'm glad the tag straps feel like a big deal. I love tag team wrestling and event tho the division is a little thin, I'm hoping to use some L-FSCE guys to fill it out. I have a feeling I'll add the IP or Holovision title once the roster fills out, but frankly that might not be until 2087 - 2089. I doubt I'll ever do a 6-man title or a "hardcore" title. I may have a secondary tag title at some point, but that would be far down the road. For the long term, I much prefer to have fewer championships. Not only does it make the belts mean more, but I also feel like it heightens the intensity of feuds and strengthens the importance of rankings.
I don't know that I did do a thorough job of setting up the UWA Junior Heavyweight title. Basically, it's something I came up with when I wanted to feature some juniors action to flesh out the card a bit. I decided to imagine an NWA-like organization that could have a talent exchange with the GWF using the L-FSCE guys. The idea is that the UWA title isn't GWF sanctioned per se, but it is open to challenges from GWF wrestlers and will be featured on the card from time to time. I don't know if or when I'll be able to introduce the GWF Cruiserweight title, so this just gives me a way to allow the lighter guys on the roster to have something to shoot for and gives me a chance to write a different style of match.
New card will be up later today! And then later this week: GALACTIC WARS II!

As a big puro fan, I could see them being akin to Misawa & Kawada before they split. Formidable tag team that held the titles, but even better foes after their split. Which is funny because I kind of see Omega and Morpheus fitting into Jumbo/Tenryu mold, too... Tho maybe Baba/Inoki could work in a way... Thantos:Star Warrior to Misawa:Kawada is a very insightful analogy. In both cases there was an established relationship that saw the later arrive before the former by way of creative necessity. Thantos was thrust into the spotlight on his own initiative (by breaking the code) while Misawa's rise was precipitated by the 'next in line from the top' Tenryu jumping ship to an upstart promotion/Baba needing a new headliner circus. The way the dice rolled for me, SW largely played second fiddle to The Evil GameMaster throughout his run, a role Kawada also had to settle into for a great many years. While I appreciated the idea of two high school friends going on to team up together, they were much better suited as legendary rivals (as were Thantos & Star Warrior). Jumbo:Tenryu to Omega:Morpheus is another intriguing one. JT & the legend from Cetus (at least given the stats on paper) were clearly the aces of their generation. I think the Kakuryu unit saw GT booked into more of a lieutenant/junior role than Morpheus played in the Guardians (I envisioned him as a co-equal in relation to Omega, who sported a divergent personality and a bit less of an athletic arsenal). An alternate universe begs the question of what could have been had Tenryu stayed in AJPW and Morpheus had been a part of Tom's 2087 set? Ironically it may have delayed (and possibly derailed) the rise of the earlier mentioned Thantos and Misawa eras to be. Only the shadow knows for sure. BTW...on the topic of GWF Classics/All Japan Pro Wrestling analogies, if I stretch I can see arguments for Jack Hood:Akira Maeda (rebels/sadists who became nomads) and Dragon Fighter:Kenta Kobashi (underdogs who evolved greatly with time, although DF fell far short in comparison). Beyond the era Pulsar:Kobashi is close, career accomplishment wise (discounting persona) Thunder:Kobashi may be spot on parallel (my bias perhaps colored by seeing him as one of Tom's best evolved characters). I'm also tempted to close by saying Krakan:Akira Taue, but I honestly can't justify it beyond the novelty of filling in a Taue spot.

Krakan:Taue! I love it, haha. Also, I completely agree with what everything you said about Thunder. He was one of the most dominant champs in my post 2109 GWF history. Tore through all the competition in great matches. I like thinking of him as Kobashi, too. Unfortunately, I don't have Jack Hood and know very little about him. One of my few gaps in GWF history I too wish Morpheus was more visible in the 2087-2090 years in particular. It'll be hard to write him out when I reach 2086. He's easily one of my favorite GWF characters. Enough chat for now! Here's the next card:

GWF Classics #31: Vengeance 03.15.2077 from Deimos, Mars
- Non-Wrestling Segment - Things are obviously changing in the GWF. Tensions have been running high across the board and even the most noble competitors have been willing to toss aside sportsmanship in favor of VENGEANCE!
Ladies and gentlemen we are mere weeks away from the second annual Galactic Wars!
We have more than a couple of major feuds coming to a boil and it is suspected that matches will soon be set for the super-card.
Perhaps our biggest news is Omega regaining the GWF Galaxian Championship from KO Keller.
Word is Keller wants a rematch. Tho this is not unprecedented, in the past if a champion fails to successfully defend the title in a rematch against the former champion, they would have to step aside for other competitors. Omega, tho, has defeated all-comers, Keller being the only blemish on his near-perfect record. Will we see Keller-Omega III?!?
Equally important and maybe even more so: Cosmos, heinously injured at the hands of Ricken Prince, Mimic, and Harley Marlboro is slated to be out for around 11 weeks! He suffered a concussion, bruised ribs and sternum, and a possible cervical injury. We wish him a speedy recovery.
In response to the attack, Harley Marlboro, Ricken Prince, and Mimic have been suspended for 6 weeks... Some are saying they got off easy... However, Morpheus petitioned the board for a match against Harley Marlboro at Galactic Wars! We'll have more on that later!
We have some incredible action stemming from recent events on the card tonite, including a tag team title match in the main event! Let's get to it!
Chucho Morales and El Virtuoso vs. El Demonico and Venomous El Demonico defeated El Virtuoso with a DEMONICO BOMB at 27:43 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: Four of the premier athletes in the UWA Jr Heavyweight division. They've already brought more depth to the GWF roster and have engaged in some fantastic matches.
El Virtuoso has had a stranglehold on the Jr Heavyweight title and defeated all comers, but that's not to say that any of the other men in the ring, including his tag team partner aren't legitimate threats to that title.
This one was a tag classic of the highest degree. It went beyond lucha action, beyond juniors action, it was simply a fantastic tag team contest between four amazing athletes.
Morales and Venomous started things off and Morales put on a great show as he really took it to Venomous. He scored a pair of nearfalls before displaying some great continuity with his tag partner.
The action continued in a great manner and soon Demonico and Virtuoso were facing off to the crowd's delight. They went back and forth and the action continued in this manner for a while with all four men having some excellent spots and scoring nearfalls. There must have been almost 10 nearfalls by the end of the match.
Demonico had no qualms about flying to the outside, either. He creamed both his opponents a couple of times and put on quite a display.
The closing stretch saw Virtuoso taking it to Venomous, but Venomous made a comeback and tagged in his partner after a reverse DDT. Demonico went to work and hit a gutbuster followed by a top rope rolling demon kick!!!
DEMONICO BOMB! Morales can't make the save! 1, 2, 3!!! Demonico pins the champ!
What an incredible match. We were mere minutes from the time limit, too.
Fans are on their feet for this one.
- 2/3 Falls Match - The Crosscurrents vs. The Windriders Thetis defeated Rama with a WATERY GRAVE at 2:42 Tano defeated Thetis with a DEIMOS DRIVER at 7:57 Tano defeated Thetis with a DQ at 8:52 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: Building off a couple of recent matches this series is coming to a head with this 2/3 falls match. They each have a win a piece going in, but who will triumph?
Rama and Vortex started the match off and it became clear that the CrossCurrents wanted to dominate the Wind Riders.
Vortex and Thetis kept the pressure on with some great double team continuity and hi impact moves leading to a nearfall and then WATERY GRAVE to seal the deal and get the first fall early on!
Rama was in trouble early in the second fall as the CrossCurrents looked to capitalize on his weakened state, but he hit a leaping DDT out of no where on Thetis! He makes the tag to Tano!
Tano cleans house and then they hit a DEIMOS DRIVER!
Vortex stops the fall, but Rama makes another tag... DEIMOS DRIVER! 1, 2, 3!
The Wind Riders are riding high by quickly evening things up!
Tano and Thetis wrestle, but Tano has the advantage. The Wind Riders then hit a double team superplex and Rama goes for the cover!
Vortex is in and kicks Rama in the head! The ref is warning him to step aside, but Vortex grabs Rama and drops him with a jumping DDT and the ref calls for the bell as Tano jumps on Vortex and we've got a brawl!
Officials separate the teams and the records will show a Wind Rider win, but this does anything but finish this series...
- POW Rules - Commander Sam vs. Torpor Commander Sam defeated Torpor with a superplex at 13:30 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: Torpor made his way out to the ring alone, but everyone wanted to know if we'd see Mangus again!
Sam came out to a huge roar from the crowd and he quickly took it to Torpor! It was a huge beating in the powerful brawling style that only Commander Sam could bring!
Torpor was bleeding in no time and they brawled in and out of the ring... Or rather Sam destroyed Torpor in and out of the ring.
Every time it looked like Sam might go for a pin he'd turn it up another notch. This lead to the fans wondering if and when Mangus would show up...
The action spilled outside again and there was an uproar from the crowd as Mangus made his way out, but Sam saw him coming and there was a noggin knocker for the Cygnusians!
The crowd went nuts as Sam sealed the deal with a superplex to get the 3-count!
Mangus was back in, tho and he and Sam began brawling... Mangus got the upper hand and smashed him with a chair! Officials were out and Mangus picked up Torpor and made his way towards the back...
MANGUS: Commander... HA! I have two things to say... 1... We will meet at Galactic Wars! Fitting don't you think? And 2... GWF... You will NEVER see this piece of trash in a GWF ring again!
And with that Mangus tossed Torpor off the stage area through a table below!
SAM: MANGUS! You're damn right we'll meet at Galactic Wars! And I guarantee that you will have hell to pay for what you've done to me!
Morpheus vs. Screw Screw defeated Morpheus with a middle rope clothesline at 14:26 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: Morpheus wanted a match and the board gave him Screw! Would he get more than he bargained for?
They started off jockeying for position with neither man holding the advantage for long, but then Morpheus got a string of moves off and built momentum to hit 3 Natural Disasters in a row!
He scored a nearfall, but wasn't able to sustain the pressure on the big man and then Screw came back in a big way!
He scored a couple nearfalls of his own and hit some of the big moves in his arsenal.
FREAKISH FACE SLAM! 1... 2... NO! Morpheus got the shoulder up, but it looks like he's been busted open!
At this point there was a ruckus in the crowd and cameras zoomed in on none other than Harley Marlboro!!! He's not supposed to be here! Officials confront Harley and he shows them a ticket... It seems they can't kick him out as long as he's a paying customer!
Morpheus makes a comeback and the action spills outside! He sees Marlboro and nearly jumps the guardrail for him, but the ref keeps him from going after him!
Back inside Screw gets the advantage again and Marlboro can be heard heckling Morpheus!
Morpheus turns his back on Screw for a second and that's all the big man needs... Morpheus walks right into a middle rope clothesline after jawing with Harley at ringside and Screw gets the 1, 2, 3!
What the hell?
A bloody Morpheus is able to pull himself up by the ring ropes as Harley continues to heckle him! The ref tries holding him back, but Morpheus pushes him aside and goes over the rail!!! Harley lays some shots in and they're fighting in the crowd!
A weakened Morpheus is no match for Marlboro and he drops him with his finisher in the stands! Officials are out and here comes Omega! Hell, the Deimos Police are even here!
Harley Marlboro is escorted out of the building as Omega and the officials see to Morpheus.
- POW Rules - Torin Caelum vs. Santon the Loner Santon the Loner defeated Torin Caelum with an atomic skullcrusher at 15:20 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: Caelum told Santon he'd play as dirty as he's been getting lately and this match would be contested under POW Rules!
Caelum came out of the gate wrestling at his scientific best. He found ways to stretch and roll Santon getting a distinct advantage even applying the Torin Death Lock at one point.
Santon tried to comeback, but Caelum cut him off and pressed his advantage again. They would see saw a bit, but Santon wasn't able to get much started even careening out of the ring after missing a charge in the corner!
After taking some more punishment in the ring things spilled outside again and this time Santon had something up his sleeve! He pulled a length of chain out of a bag at ringside and smashed Caelum in the face busting him open! He then clotheslined him with the chain and rolled him in!
Caelum was in trouble as Santon targeted the neck, but he was only able to score a couple of nearfalls and Caelum caught him off the top with a lightning enzugiri! 1... 2... NO! Santon got the shoulder up!
Caelum tried to put him away, but Santon wouldn't stay down and the chain came into play again as Caelum went for an axe handle off the top, but got met with the chain wrapped fist of Santon!
Atomic Skullcrusher! A cover! 1... 2... 3!! Santon wins the match! He continues to punish Caelum with the chain afterwards until the refs and officials break it up! Something tells me we haven't seen the last of this one!
- 2/3 Falls - Paladin Power vs. The Mensans for the Galaxian Tag Team Championship Moonstrike defeated Trotarus with a PALADIN DROP at 2:09 Solar Flare defeated Trotarus with a PALADIN MISSILE at 6:29 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: The Mensans have garnered another shot against the new tag team champions and Paladin Power is looking forward to making a statement after a tough battle a couple cards ago. Cordsar also still has his sights set on another Jr Heavyweight title shot.
Flare and Trotarus started out and Flare took it to him big time! He even hit a fallaway slam on the big man then hit up his tag partner for the double-team.
Moonstrike took it to him and had him reeling after a moonsault! He hit the PALADIN DROP! Cordsar couldn't make the save! Paladin Power dominates for the first fall!
Moonstrike continued to pound on the big man as the second fall began and we had another nearfall...
A tag and some more continuity from the tag champs...
Flare hits PALADIN MISSILE!! Moonstrike catches Cordsar... 1... 2... 3! What a strong defense!
Paladin Power celebrates with the fans as Cordsar starts bad-talking his partner! "I'm going to be Junior Heavyweight champ! What about you?!?" he could be heard saying...
Overall Card Rating: 3.13

GWF Classics #32: Prelude to War 04.12.2077 from Deimos, Mars
- Non-Wrestling Segment - We are only 2 weeks away from our next card, the second annual GWF Galactic Wars!!! The biggest super-card of the year and we have been told there will be a very special announcement from Omega, Morpheus, and the board concerning the future of the GWF!
We have some excellent action in store for you tonite as we make our way around the final lap before the war!
Blood vs. Trotarus Blood defeated Trotarus with a SCAR TISSUE at 1:07 Match Rating: 0.10 Match Notes: This one has some interesting history. It was Trotarus who put Jammer on the shelf after pretty much destroying his knee in a concentrated and combined effort during a tag match between Defiance and the Mensans. It's been over a year since Jammer has been on the shelf and even tho he's done some commentating and interviews here and there, he's been able to offer no help to his former partner.
Trotarus picked up a win against Blood shortly after that injury to Jammer and it cooled tensions a bit, but tonite they meet again!
Blood has struggled over the past year. He's had moments triumph, but he's also suffered some crushing defeats.
Trotarus on the other hand has seen his fair share of struggles with his tag partner, Cordsar. They've been so close to tag gold, but haven't sealed the deal.
These two started off going back and forth, but Blood hit a sick facebuster off the ropes! Brainbuster!
SCAR TISSUE!!!! It's locked in tight! Trotarus is in pain! He taps!
Blood has delivered a crushing blow. Wait a minute... Here comes Jammer!!!! He's in the ring! He's back! Lariat to Trotarus! He goes up top!
Diving knee drop from the top!!! That'll silence any detractors! He gets to his feet easily as Trotarus rolls out of the ring to the floor in pain!
Defiance is BACK!
Torin Caelum vs. K.O. Keller This match ended in a draw (TIME LIMIT DRAW) at 30:00 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: Two men that definitely aren't strangers. They faced off in the finals to determine the first Galaxian champion. A match that Caelum came out on top of. Keller has had his ups and downs lately including a huge victory over Omega for the title, but he fell in the rematch.
Questions abound about who will get the next title shot. Caelum engaged in a classic match of the year bout with Omega, but came up short.
Will the victor of this match be the challenger at Galactic Wars?
They start off jockeying for position, but Caelum comes up on top...
What follows is some of the best wrestling action in the GWF! Caelum would be on top for a while stretching Keller and then Keller would come back with the vicious strikes he's known for. Back and forth, back and forth.
Spectacular exchanges off the ropes, out of the corner, and off the top.
One spectacular moment saw Keller coming off the top with a diving uppercut, but Caelum countered with a huge dropkick!
Each man scored nearfalls and Keller was busted open after being driven face first into the ring post!
Smelling blood, Caelum went for the kill, but not even CAELUM'S GRIP could put the former champ away!
The fans were on their feet as we approached the time limit!
The finish saw Keller whipped into the corner, but he raised a knee! KO Flurry! Caelum falls out of the ring! Keller follows! He's pounding on Torin Caelum... The bell rings!
Do we have a DQ? A countout? No... It's a time limit draw! They're still fighting after the bell!
Officials separate them... What a match?!
Both men are arguing... It seems that they're talking about the title... Who will get a shot?
- 2/3Falls - El Demonico vs. El Virtuoso for the UWA Junior Heavyweight Championship El Demonico defeated El Virtuoso with a DQ at 2:44 Match Rating: 0.00 Match Notes: Demonico scored a pinfall over the champ in a tag contest on the last card to score a title shot here. Cordsar is still waiting in the wings for another shot as well, but in the meantime these two rivals will go at it for the title!
Demonico was shot into the ropes, but came off with a beautiful pinning combo for a nearfall!
He kept the pressure on and scored with Demonico Especial and then an Asai Moonsault!
He even tossed the champ outside and hit a plancha that had Virtuoso reeling! Unreal action in the opening moments. Can Demonico score that precious first fall early?
Virtuoso rolled out after another nearfall, but Demonico followed!
They're brawling and Demonico tries to come off the guardrail with a kick, but Virtuoso tosses a chair at him!!! The ref calls for the bell and confers with an official at ringside...
The decision as a result of a DQ is awarded to Demonico, but as a title cannot change hands on a DQ, the match is being called! Demonico is hot and here comes Venomous, but Chucho Morales is out as all four square off!
Omega is out and confers with the champ and challenger... It's tense, but no blows are thrown... An official announces on the mic that there will be a rematch at Galactic Wars! And it will be contested in a 2/3 Falls Mexican Death Match!!!
Cordsar vs. Rama Cordsar defeated Rama with a MENSAN LOCK at 5:06 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: Strong action in this one. Rama controlled the early going as Cordsar was undoubtedly looking over his shoulder after Jammer's return earlier in the night!
Rama landed with the DEIMOS DRIVER early, but Cordsar got the shoulder up.
At one point Rama hit a suicidal tope that had both men in heaps on the ringside floor!
Rama hit another DEIMOS DRIVER but Cordsar kicked out!!!
Rama was shocked and went up top, but Cordsar got to his feet, crotched Rama and then applied the figure four!
Rama was hurting big time, but made it to the ropes... MENSAN LOCK in the middle of the ring!!!
Rama taps out!
Cordsar celebrates warily and even hollers about wanting the winner of the Mexican Death Match!
Jammer appears on the entry ramp and Cordsar nearly soils himself!
He backs into the ring... But here's Blood!
Much to the dismay of the crowd officials convince Defiance not to attack as Cordsar runs to the back!
- Non-Wrestling Segment - Omega has made his way to the ring and fans are electric in anticipation over the announcement of the Galaxian Championship match at Galactic Wars II!
Will it be KO Keller? Will it be Santon? Torin Caelum? Someone else?
OMEGA: Ladies and gentlemen, I cannot express how good it feels to stand here once again as your GWF Champion! I faltered and paid the price. But a two year reign with 11 successful defenses against the top competition in the galaxy is something to be proud of. Something that elevates the importance of this title... And that's something I want to keep doing! So come Galactic Wars there will be a very special announcement about the future of this organization!
But I know that's not what you want to hear about right now. You want to know just who I will be facing at the biggest event in the GWF! I've got a lot of choices, but I also know there are a lot of others scores to be settled out there...
Therefore, with the approval of the board, I'm thrilled to announce the following bouts for Galactic Wars!
In a quest for vengeance even I can get behind, Morpheus and Harley Marlboro will face off in a POW Rules match!
In a first ever kind of match for the GWF, Santon the Loner and Torin Caelum will meet in a Chain Match! And furthermore the winner of that match will meet the winner of the main event on the very next card!
And that main event of the evening at Galactic Wars will indeed be a 2 out of 3 falls match for the Galaxian Heavyweight Championship defended by me against KO Keller! With the added stipulation that the loser will not be able to challenge for the GWF title for a full year!
The fans have popped big at these announcements and we're for sure to have more action on the card! The tag titles will be on the line! The Junior Heavyweights will be in action! Jammer has returned! And there are other scores to be settled!
KO Keller and Torin Caelum have come out and the tension is thick in the air, but Caelum begrudgingly steps aside... Here comes Santon! He's got the chain!
Caelum and Santon! Caelum and Santon! Keller and Omega look to separate them and officials have poured out!
Santon heads for the hills as Torin Caelum has been busted open. Omega and Keller help him up as officials begin to help him out...
KELLER DECKS OMEGA!!! A killer right by Keller to the jaw of the champ!!! The Champ is down!
The fans are booing heavily as officials and Caelum look on in shock!
Caelum tackles Keller! These two already went 30 minutes tonite! Officials break them up!
Caelum can be heard shouting "We're not done, Keller! We're not even close!"
Galactic Wars will be off the charts!
Tano vs. Moonstrike Moonstrike defeated Tano with a flying leg scissors at 2:36 Match Rating: 0.10 Match Notes: Moonstrike and Tano have met in multiple tag matches and in a singles encounter. Tano's temper has matched Moonstrike's and in tag action they've exchanged pinfalls, but Moonstrike got the best of the young local in one-on-one action.
The Titan came out swinging and had the WindRider on the ropes after an early superkick. A Ttian Drop scored a nearfall!
Tano rolled out at one point and Moonstrike, smelling blood, came over the top with a slingshot plancha!
Tano was in big trouble and Moonstrike sealed the deal after a pair of flying head scissors.
- 2/3 Falls - Morpheus vs. Screw Screw defeated Morpheus with a FREAKISH FACE SLAM at 3:09 Screw defeated Morpheus with a FREAKISH FACE SLAM at 16:47 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Morpheus was denied a victory on the last card after Harley Marlboro distracted him at ringside... Still, Screw is a force to be reckoned with and could see his way back into the title hunt with a victory here. Are Morpheus' attentions elsewhere?
It didn't seem like it in the opening moments! He took it to the big man and nearly scored an early fall, but Screw came back with a vengeance!
He scored a quick fall after a FREAKISH FACE SLAM from no where!
Morpheus tried to battle back in the second fall, but Screw was one step ahead... Until the action spilled outside and Morpheus put the big man down with a spear into the guardrail! The reckless abandon cost him, tho as both men were hurting. They brawled at ringside and soon both competitors were busted open!
The action moved back inside at the ref's insistence and they went back and forth for a little while and Morpheus even scored another nearfall, but the big man was having none of it and came back again with strikes and bombs until he wore Morpheus down sufficiently!
Middle rope clothesline! 1... 2... NO! Screw signals for the end, tho... FREAKISH FACE SLAM! He covers a bloody Morpheus... 1, 2, 3! Two straight falls over Morpheus! What a win for Screw!
Harley Marlboro appears in the stands with a mic!
HARLEY: Get used the view, Morpheus! Cause you're gonna have blood in your eyes and the lights shining down on you when I put you flat on your back at Galactic Wars! And then you can join your chump protoge, Cosmos in the hospital!
Overall Card Rating: 1.74

GWF Classics #33: Galactic Wars II 04.26.2077 from Deimos, Mars
- Non-Wrestling Segment - Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to GALACTIC WARS! Our second annual presentation of this wrestling extravaganza is poised to blow the roof off the Deimos Arena!
Speaking of which, I have the honor of delivering a huge announcement that will have ramifications on the entire future of the GWF!
Beginning in June, the Deimos Arena will be undergoing a major renovation. The GWF has taken the galaxy by storm and we need a bigger home.
However, in taking the galaxy by storm we recognize the need to bring the GWF to the fans! And as such, beginning in June we will do just that! We will begin a tour that starts on Titan and will lead to our new super card, Galaxies Collide, in November at the Niagara Tower of Lights on Earth!
We will return to Deimos early next year when the renovations are complete for another super card, the Deimos Perennial!
This is an exciting time for the GWF! Get ready fans, we're going to be bringing the action to your hometown soon!
Here's to the future!
That being said, there's little need to recap much heading into the supercard, so let's get to the action! Let's begin the GALACTIC WARS!!!!
- 2/3 Falls Mexican Death Match - El Demonico vs. El Virtuoso for the UWA Junior Heavyweight Championship El Virtuoso defeated El Demonico with a La Tapatia at 5:07 El Virtuoso defeated El Demonico with a 9:33 at ESPECIAL VIRTUOSO Match Rating: 2.25 Match Notes: This one got off to a hot start! Demonico was all over the champ and nearly scored the first fall in the opening moments.
The champ battled back, tho and hit a lariat that took Demonico down a few pegs!
Virtuoso took the fight to his rival and scored a couple nearfalls using some quick moves to transition into a few wear down holds and then hit the big moves.
He finally made him tap to the La Tapiata!
The champ secures that all important first fall.
He kept the action up in the second fall and things spilled outside! Virtuoso flew and clobbered Demonico with a plancha. They kept the action outside and brawled around the ring side area.
The champ hit a vicious chairshot and sent Demonico in!
Nearfall after his finisher, but Demonico is still in it!
A few moments later, tho, and a second ESEPCIAL VIRTUOSO was too much.
Great defense for the champ after a rocky start.
Cordsar was out and hollered to El Virtuoso that he was the next champ, so Virtuoso better be ready!
Defiance vs. The Mensans Jammer defeated Cordsar with a DQ at 7:36 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Jammer returns to in ring action in this bout! It's a return match in more ways than one, as the last time Jammer was in a GWF ring, it was the combined effort of the Mensans that destroyed his knee and put him on the shelf for a year!
During that time he participated on color commentary in between rehab stints and was seen on crutches and a cane, but he ditched the cane a couple of months ago and is apparently ready to go. Will he show any signs of ring rust? And will his emotions cloud his match in any way.
Blood and Trotarus started things off and the opening saw a great exchange of moves in a total see saw battle. Neither man could get the advantage the back and forth battle had the fans into the match big time.
The big man got the first big move in with a double arm clothesline, but it didn't last long as Blood dropped him with a big dropkick to the knee!
Jammer called for the tag and the fans popped as he and Blood both worked over the leg in a double team!
Jammer, tho wasn't quite able to keep the advantage and Trotarus came back with a series of spinning elbows!
A tag was made and Cordsar came in, he called for the big man to hold Jammer and delivered a dropkick to the reconstructed knee of Jammer!!!
But Jammer came back huge! He worked over Cordsar and the action spilled outside! They brawled around the ringside area and risked countout and double DQ!
Jammer was working Cordsar over, but Cordsar took the easy way out and clobbered Jammer with a chair drawing the DQ!
Blood immediately came to the rescue and lariated Cordsar out of his boots! Trotarus and Blood fight outside the ring as officials try to break things up and restore order...
Welcome back Jammer... This thing ain't over!
Commander Sam vs. Mangus Mangus defeated Commander Sam with a DQ at 10:38 Match Rating: 3.25 Match Notes: Mangus made his debut with a heinous attack on Commander Sam at New Year's Revolution '77! Sam had to be stretchered out of the arena, but bounced back on the following card to issue a challenge.
Mangus forced Sam into a match with Torpor that Sam handily won and then Mangus banished Torpor from the GWF by tossing him off the entrance ramp through a table!
This has blood feud written all over it and rumors are rampant that these two actually faced one another in battle during the Earth-Cygnus War! True or not, they're certainly carrying on a war that many have still not forgotten in the GWF ring! Harkening back to the infamous feuds between US & German, Japanese, and of course Russian wrestlers of the mid 20th century...
These two went right at one another! There was very little finesse in this one. No armbars or cradles, just brawling; strikes and power moves.
Sam actually controlled most of the action early on, much to the fans delight! He scored a nearfall early after an overhead crash and even went on to hit SAM'S ATOMIC DROP! The crowd thought that might be it, but Mangus kicked out!
Sam and the crowd were shocked and the action continued in a back and forth manner! Both wrestlers used signature moves, but neither would stay down.
Sam hit a decapitating lariat and followed it with the Commander Slam!
Mangus rolls out and of course Sam follows!
They're brawling all over the arena floor, ignoring the ref's count!
Mangus has that rod! Sam wrestles it away, tho and waffles him with it!!! The fans pop big as he gets retribution, but the ref signals for the bell and awards a DQ victory to Mangus!
The fans are hot! Sam is hot! He carries the rod into the ring and stands on the turnbuckle waving for Mangus to come at him, but the Destroyer of Humans wisely slinks away clutching the back of his head...
This one ain't over by a longshot!
The Windriders vs. Paladin Power for the Galaxian Tag Team Championship Solar Flare defeated Rama with a shoulderbreaker at 11:07 Rama defeated Moonstrike with a pinning combo at 0:38 Moonstrike defeated Rama with a missile dropkick at 21:55 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: Paladin Power is seeking to further their reign as tag team champions and face the challenge of the Wind Riders.
Rama and Tano struggled in the early months of their career, but more recently they've gained momentum and have had a great series with the CrossCurrents that's far from over, but tonite at Galactic Wars they get their second shot at Paladin Power's tag team titles.
Moonstrike and Rama started off and in a shocker, Moonstrike sent Rama into the ropes and Rama caught the Titan in a pinning combo and scored the 1, 2, 3! In 37 seconds! The first fall is over and the Wind Riders have the advantage!
The next fall saw lots of back and forth action between Flare and Tano and both teams began to work the double team and use some hi impact moves to try and get the second fall.
Moonstrike was on fire after going down in the first fall and hit a big suicide dive on Rama!
The fans were eating up this fast paced tag action and the second fall came after Flare blasted Rama with a flying kick off the top, followed it with a plancha to the outside, and then nailed a big shoulder breaker for the 1, 2, 3!
We're all even a little over 11 minutes in with some fantastic action!
The final fall started off hot and Moonstrike brought it to Tano, but the Wind Rider wouldn't back down and got in a few flurries. Moonstrike shook it off tho and landed a big PALADIN DROP! 1...2... NO! Tano gets the shoulder up.
Flare comes in and Tano makes a comeback! Tag to Rama... Double team superplex!!! A cover! 1...2... NO! What a match!
Rama is bringing it to Flare! The Wind Riders could be on their way to dethroning the tag champs! A year into their career, they could be wearing gold!
But Flare makes a desperation tag after a hurracanrana! Moonstrike is in! Titan Drop! A pair of big lariats!
The Titan goes up top! Missile dropkick! 1...2...3!
Great match from all four men! Paladin Power earned this one, but the Wind Riders, even with a loss, don't come off looking bad at all.
All four men shake hands and receive quite an ovation from the crowd. Excellent tag match.
- Castor Chain Match - Torin Caelum vs. Santon the Loner Torin Caelum defeated Santon the Loner with a CAELUM'S GRIP at 14:34 Match Rating: 4.25 Match Notes: This war has been brewing for a long time and these two men have faced off numerous times and are about even, but the feud became a war in recent months as Santon began attacking Caelum with a length of chain.
That all leads to this. The GWF's first ever Castor Chain Match!
Caelum started off with his wrestling expertise and used a variety of holds on Santon, but the Loner came back and put the chain to use. Caelum was busted open in no time and that set the tone for the rest of the bout!
Torin Caelum bled buckets as Santon brutalized him, but he never stayed down and came back more than a few times to get flurries of offense.
But Santon kept grabbing the advantage and utilizing his brawling and big moves to score with the chain!
This match lived up to it's name as the chain got plenty of action.
They brawled outside the ring and one spot saw Caelum get bieled through a table when Santon whipped him over with the chain!
But Caelum wouldn't stay down!
A bloody bloody Caelum looked to be out of the match after that spot, tho. Santon whipped him with the chain and then clotheslined him with! He hit a neckbreaker, but Caelum rolled outside. He wore the crimson mask and most of his upper body was covered with blood as well!
Santon came after him, but Caelum exploded with a belly to belly suplex on the guardrail!!!! Santon could have broken ribs!!!
Caelum rolls Santon in! Abdominal stretch!!!
Santon is in extreme pain! CAELUM'S GRIP!!!
Santon taps! Santon taps!
After the beating he took, Torin Caelum comes back for the huge win and is guaranteed a title shot on the very next card! Amazing! He took KO Keller to a 30 minute time limit draw and now he'll get his chance at either Omega or Keller depending on who wins the main event.
Torin Caelum can barely stand, but the audience chants his name as he makes his way to the back.
- POW Rules - Morpheus vs. Harley Marlboro Morpheus defeated Harley Marlboro with a TRIP TO HADES at 29:56 Match Rating: 4.75 Match Notes: It's time to go to war POW style! After the brutal chain match we just saw, Morpheus and Harley Marlboro have a ton of hate to throw at one another!
In the short time he's been in the GWF, Harley Marlboro has been quite a controversial figure and the injury that he, Ricken Prince, and Mimic dealt to Cosmos has kept the youngster out of action for the last two months and it could very well be another month before he's able to compete again!
Morpheus immediately took exception Marlboro's attitude upon his return after the concussion he suffered in his ladder match against Omega. But the savage attack on Cosmos cemented the hate and now we have a way. Their last meeting ended in a DQ, obviously there was only one way to settle this at Galactic Wars!
This match was pure brutality! Marlboro was busted open early after hitting the Harley Hangover, Morpheus rolled out and had a trick up his sleeve. Using the chain that was left behind from the previous match, he brutalized Harley with it and split him wide open! He followed this with a chair shot and rolled him in to continue the attack.
Marloboro came back and we had an incredible back and forth match on our hands! Neither man would budge and each kicked out of the others finisher more than once!
Everytime it spilled outside, Morpheus seemed to grab the upper hand and would then out-wrestle Marlboro on the inside, but Harley wouldn't stay down and came back big time!
He punished Morpheus with repeated Maffeii Runways and stiff knees and uppercuts.
The brawling spilled out again and they brawled all the way out of the arena!!! They battled on top of a car and Harley piledrove Morpheus on top of it!!!
Morpheus was soon bleeding after Harley smashed his face on the windshield and both men wore the crimson mask.
They made their way back to the ring and it looked like Morpheus was out of it, but when Harley looked to use his finisher on a table, Morpheus hit a low blow! He back drops Harley through the table and both men are in a heap in the ruins of the table!
But Harley comes back and hits his finisher in the ring! That's gotta be it!
1...2... NO!!! Amazing!
It spilled outside again... Some how both men continued to battle back and forth and the action finally returned to the ring after Morpheus again used the chain on the bloody Marlboro.
TRIP TO HADES! 1...2... NO! Where is he getting it from?!?
Morpheus, exhausted, went up top and landed a huge flying elbow drop!
Harley, tho, caught a forearm and tossed Morpheus into the ropes, but Morpheus hits a shoulder tackle! Satanic Skull Smasher! TRIP TO HADES! 1...2...3!!
Morpheus get's the huge win in a nearly 30 minute bloodbath!
But Morpheus isn't done! Wait! Here comes Cosmos!
They set up a table in the ring and take Harley up top! Cosmos has NOT been cleared to wrestle! What is he doing?!
Morpheus hits a TRIP TO HADES from the top through the table!!!! Cosmos then grabs a chair and dives off the top with a leg drop with the chair on Harley's chest!!!
Here come officials and Omega! Omega has a mic!
OMEGA: NO! No, no, no! It didn't have to be like this! Cosmos, this is not the way! I know what they did to you, but we don't have to fight fire with fire!
MORPHEUS: Omega! Your way only works so far and you know it! You want this kid to be the future, well, I'm telling you now, the only way he gets all the tools is if you let him figure it out on his own and learn from both of us! We are, after all, the founding fathers!
OMEGA: Is this what you want, Cosmos? Is it?
Cosmos looks to Omega, looks to Morpheus...
COSMOS: Omega... After what they did to me, I'm lucky to be standing! I haven't even been cleared to compete yet... I'm not saying you're wrong, Omega... I'm just saying, I don't know... Luckily I've got another four weeks to figure it out. For now, tho... He got what was coming...
Cosmos limps from the ring to the back as the founding fathers stare at one another in the ring.
Harley Marlboro is carted off on a stretcher as we prepare for the main event!
- 2/3 Falls - Omega vs. K.O. Keller for the Galaxian Championship Omega defeated K.O. Keller with a TOMAHAWK THRUST at 5:56 Omega defeated K.O. Keller with a TOMAHAWK THRUST at 13:16 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: After the last two matches, it would be difficult to imagine anything following topping it.
This rematch has the added stip that the loser cannot challenge for the title again for a full year. Could this be the beginning of the end for Omega? Keller has already beaten the champ once, but Omega came back to regain the title in the rematch. This is Keller-Omega III! The title is on the line! 2/3 Falls with a 60 minute time limit!
Let's get it on!
Keller grabbed a face lock at the beginning and really worked it, but when he shot Omega off into the ropes the entire complexion of the match changed. Double lariats put both men down, but Omega got to his feet first and took it Keller!
COSMIC WAR DANCE! 1...2.. NO!
TOMAHAWK THRUST!! Omega is trying to put him away early, but again, Keller gets the shoulder up.
Big statements made by both men.
Omega continued to punish the challenger, but then Keller tried to make a comeback and they see sawed back and forth with neither man taking the advantage for a while!
But then Omega grabbed an armlock and transitioned into the Indian Death Lock! Keller makes the ropes... Backroll press! TOMAHAWK THRUST! 1...2...3! Wow! Omega takes the first fall in easy fashion and it looks like Keller has been busted open. With all the old scar tissue above his eyes and on his brow it's no surprise...
The second fall begins will a bloodied Keller making an offensive comeback! But Omega catches a kick and stretches him out with an abdominal stretch!
After a flying leg drop connects, Keller rolls outside to avoid further attack. Omega looked like he was going to stay in, but Keller drags suckers him in and drags him out and posts him face first! The champ is busted open!
Falling fist to face back inside... A cover! 1...2.. NO!
Omega comes back and goes up top, but Keller runs up and tries to suplex him in... Omega knees him in the face and Keller goes flying to the mat!
Omega connects with an elbow! COSMIC WAR DANCE! 1...2... NOOOO! Wow, what heart from Keller.
TOMAHAWK THRUST! 1...2...3!
Omega does it in two straight falls! There's your champ, folks!
He'll face Torin Caelum at Mayday!
We hope you've enjoyed Galactic Wars II! It's been a crazy night! See you at Mayday!
Overall Card Rating: 3.46

Galactic Wars II had it all: allusions to Earth history, gripping match details and minute attention to earlier events expertly drawn to immediate term conclusion with-in the framework of an evolving story. A highly recommended read for anyone looking to take their Fed write-ups (for any FG brand) to a higher level.
El Demonico and El Virtuoso always seem to bring the workrate. Their current positioning reminds me of peak Nitro-era WCW's use of the Cruiserweights. I wonder if there is another level for which they can ascend? The Commander Sam/Mangus rivalry continues to ramp up its intensity. It's funny how Torpor ended up a causality at the hands of his fellow Cygnusian. Back in the day I tried to use him as a Gilligan/Jesse Pinkman type of underlying to Mangus' Skipper/Walter White...but the tossed like trash through the table spot seems like an a prop exit stage right. The culture shock of the GWF's first ever Castor Chain Match was built very well, it was cool seeing Torin excelling outside his element. Omega and Morpheus remain absolute beasts...but time will tell as to which man's guiding philosophy will ultimately hold the most sway over the young soul of the blue chipper named Cosmos!

That is some very high praise. I really appreciate it. I've had so much fun telling stories and playing the game over the past six months or so and, tho I haven't had a chance to play too much this past week, I plan on getting a new show out in the next couple of days. When I began this Classics fed, my goal was to create the definitive history for my GWF and try to make it as heralded as the classic moments we've read or heard about, or seen, depending on age, as wrestling fans ourselves. It also gives me the chance to chart the evolution of the fed. With the WWF approaching it's 50th birthday, you can't help but look back at the evolution of the fed, for better or for worse, and I hope to keep this fed going as long as I'm able and chart a course to 2087 and beyond. My love of wrestling and storytelling informs, not only my write-ups, but how I play the game and envision the matches. And, of course, vice versa, that all informs the write-ups. So glad you're enjoying the fed and I love reading the comments and chatting about it. Next up, the GWF takes to the stars to bring the action to a planetary arena near you!

Thanks again! Hope everyone had great holidays.
Take care
