ZED MARLOWE CLAIMS FIRST TITLE Zed Marlowe won the first title of his professional wrestling career by pinning Lycosa for the USWF cruiserweight title at the Triton Pavilion on July 1.
The match started slowly, with neither wrestler able to take the advantage for several minutes. Around the four minute mark, however, Zed took his first real advantage and hit his “Duck and Cover” finisher for the win.
Lycosa’s title reign lasted for just over one month and included just one title defense.
TIGHT RACE AS WAR GAMES BEGIN The 2111 USWF War Games are in full swing, and so far seven of the nine teams are engaged in a very close contest. Only seven points separates first place from seventh, with the top three teams all within one point of each other. Arch-rivals the Gladiators of Aethra and Rebel Forces are deadlocked in second place. Penthouse Suite has struggled early to take the eighth spot, while the Guardians can point to injuries as a reason for a terrible start.
Current War Games Stranding as of July 3 are as follows: (Note: Go back one post for team rosters.) 1. Primary Colors (29 points) 2T. Gladiators of Aethra (28 points) 2T. Rebel Forces (28 points) 4. The Star Defenders (25 points) 5T. Agents of Fortune (23 points) 5T. Death Row (23 points) 7. King’s Court/Troubleshooters (22 points) 8. Penthouse Suite (16 points) 9. The Guardians (11 points)
USWF NOTES Ravage and Daniel Streamline put each other out of action for several weeks in an ugly brawl after one of their matches . . . Doctor Payne won his debut match against Wildcat, while Rush lost his first contest to Chupacabras. Overall both newcomers have been impressive so far . . . Holocaust has been better in 2111 than at any time in more than ten years and is the current War Games Singles Champion . . . Dynamo already has more wins this year (five) than he had all of last year (three). Perhaps allying himself with Cassandra and the Stormtroopers is paying off.

INTERSTELLAR RUMBLE 2111 Intro: The Interstellar Rumble was created by the GWF in 2095. The event was discontinued in 2097, and rights to the card were later purchased by the USWF, which reinstated the Rumble in 2101. In 2103 the supercard relocated from the Mimas Spectrum to the Rhea Forum of Saturn and was moved from December to mid-year. In 2106 USWF transferred the Rumble to Earth’s Victory Garden. The 2111 event was held on July 13 before a crowd of 74, 657 fans, over 30,000 short of the capacity of the Victory Garden.

Penthouse Punks over the Lower World Time: 4:37 Death’s Head goes down to a View from the Top.
Battlezone Match: Kati and Espionage over Homicide and Theater of Pain Time: 17:45 Order of elimination was Shylock by Tragedy, Tragedy by Saboteur, Comedy by Saboteur, Saboteur by Homicide, Homicide by Kati.

THEATER OF PAIN RECLAIMS TAG TEAM BELTS Theater of Pain won the USWF Tag Team Titles for the second time in the past year by defeating Upper Class at the Charon Ice Castle on August 5, 2111. The match began with Upper Class on the offensive as Witherspoon started against Tragedy. With less than a minute gone by, Witherspoon attempted to whip Tragedy into the turnbuckle. Tragedy roared out and knocked Witherspoon down for an unsuccessful pin attempt. However, the challengers followed immediately with a “Shakespeare,” and the titles changed hands in less than one minute. Theater of Pain became tag team champions for the second time, having held the belts from December 2110 to May 2111. Witherspoon and Varsity saw their second title reign end after five successful defenses. On the same card, Pathfinder took the Hardcore Title from Homicide in a Total Anarchy Match. The win gave Pathfinder, an eight time USWF Heavyweight Champion, his first reign with the Hardcore Belt.
GILA STUNS ZED MARLOWE FOR CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE Gila, the smallest competitor currently competing in the USWF, shocked the federation on August 16 by taking the cruiserweight belt from Zed Marlowe at the Regulus Civic Stadium. The title match was really no contest. Gila dominated from the opening bell and put the champion on the canvas several times before finally pinning him with a deathjump. The victory gave Gila his first title of any kind in his career.
REBEL FORCES TAKE WAR GAMES LEAD The Incredible Badger’s Rebel Forces team has stormed out of the pack to take the lead in the USWF War Games.
Much of the team’s success has been due to the solid reign of Lycanthrope, Son of Wolf, as Interstellar Champion. However, Holocaust and Raven have also been outstanding, and the tag team of Predator and Wrath continues to dominate Aethran arch-rivals Blitz and Scar. On the other end of the standings, Kati's Guardians have moved out of last place by passing Penthouse Suite and defending War Games champions Death Row. The rally by the Guardians coincides with their surprise addition of Paragon, who along with Nora Pelf has come from the GWF to join the team. Paragon himself has yet to see much success, having lost four of his first five matches, including three to Greg Valentine. In other War Games roster moves, the Guardians have also added Halcón Oro, while Lycosa has joined the Agents of Fortune, thus apparently signaling the end of the Masked Marvels as a tag team. The Guardians removed Wildcat from their roster to make room for Oro and Paragon. A very displeased Wildcat returned to Terak's Savage Kingdom team, which is not involved in the War Games.
Complete War Games standings as of August 21 are as follows: 1. Rebel Forces (67 points) 2. Primary Colors (65 points) 3. Gladiators of Aethra (60 points) 4. The King’s Court (58 points) 5. The Star Defenders (48 points) 6. Agents of Fortune (46 points) 7. The Guardians (42 points) 8. Penthouse Suite (40 points) 9. Death Row (38 points)

CENTAURUS COLLISION 2111 Created in 2104 as a GWF supercard, the Centaurus Collision is held each year at the Alpha Centauri Colonnade. The USWF purchased the rights to the Collision in 2106. The 2111 supercard was held on September 9 before a crowd of 24, 621 fans.
Opening Match: Rush Over Zed Marlowe Time: 2:55 Rush got the win with a “What a Rush.” The Aethran continued his assault after the bell and was joined by Blitz, Scar, and P3 in a brawl with the King’s Court. Zed Marlowe suffered a broken leg in the melee and is expected to miss the remainder of 2111.
Greg Valentine over Reckless Abandon Time: 6:53 Valentine won a very good match with the Figure Four Leglock
Penthouse Punks over the Lower World Time: 1:15 Romulus pinned Death’s Head with a jackhammer.
Scorpi King of the Ring Match: Paragon over Colossus Time: 5:18 Colossus twice tried but failed to put on the “Final Overture.” When Paragon got the hold on successfully, it was all over.
Titan Hardcore Match: Holocaust over Ravage Time:1:31 Savatte kick for the win.
Eight Man Battlezone Match: Crow, Chupacabras, Hurricane, and Skyfire over Black Hawk, Daniel Streamline, Charon, and Scorpio Time: 16:10 Falls went as follows: Hurricane over Charon and Black Hawk, Scorpio over Hurricane and Skyfire, Chupacabras over Scorpio and Streamline.
Torture Chamber Match for Hardcore Championship: Pathfinder (c) over Zouave Time: 7:51 Good effort by Zouave, but Pathfinder controlled the match to retain his title.
Lepus Stun Rod Match: The Dominator over Doctor Payne Time: 2:33 Dominator won with a “Painful Domination.”
War Games Tag Team Championship: The Troubleshooters (c) over Espionage Time: 1:35 Quick win for the champs as Saboteur goes down to the “Trouble Times Two.”
Tirion Triple Threat Match: Maccavity over Homicide Time: 4:52 Maccavity won with the “Grand Theft” in a match also involving Jack of Diamonds.
Castor Chain Match: Tarloc over Angst Time: 2:03 The Panic Attack hit Angst early, and it was downhill from there to a “Tarloc Tombstone.”
Interstellar Championship Match: Lycanthrope (c) over Dagger Mack Time: 2:44 This one was all Lycanthrope, who won it with “The Howling.”
Falls Count Anywhere Tag Team Match: Predator and Wrath over Blitz and Scar Time: 8:13 Predator and Wrath continued their domination of their arch-rivals as Predator pinned Blitz on the arena floor after slamming him into a Hologram Video Screen. After the bell, the teams continued battling around the arena.
USWF Tag Team Championship Match: Upper Class over Theater of Pain (c) Time: 3:10 Upper Class captured the tag team belts for the third time in two years as Varsity hit the P.C.D. on Comedy.
USWF Heavyweight Championship Match: Raven over Venom (c) Time: 0:50 Before the match, Commissioner Grogan ejected both Venom’s bodyguard P3 and Raven’s manager the Incredible Badger from ringside, citing the two brawls that the Aethrans had already engaged in during the card as reason to have no one near the ring. Venom came out strong and connected with an Atomic Spike, but Raven kicked out of a quick pin attempt. The champion followed with his “Snakebite” finisher, but again Raven escaped. Venom then made a crucial mistake as he missed a deathjump, and Raven immediately followed with a “Broadsword” to score the win and claim the USWF Championship for the third time.

REBEL FORCES CLAIM WAR GAMES RINGS The Rebel Forces team has captured the 2111 War Games Championship, coasting to victory at the final card on November 10 at Colby Palace. The Forces were in charge for most of the War Games and were never threatened at the end. They finished with a fifteen point advantage over their closest competition, Primary Colors. Team members Wrath, Lycanthrope, and Holocaust won their second War Games rings. Wrath and Lycanthrope had been members of the 2105 Warrior Legion Team, while Holocaust got his first ring with the Imperial Powers in 2106. The Incredible Badger won his second ring as a manager, the first having also come with the Warrior Legion in 2105. Raven and Predator were War Games winners in the USWF for the first time, though Raven has three GWF War Games rings. Predator and Holocaust are also former GWF War Games champions. “It’s nice to win this,” Raven said after the victory. “Not many people have won in both the USWF and GWF, so this is a real honor. But the War Games were never really our focus. We were just trying to put a stop to the Aethrans, and everything fell into place for the War Games win. It wasn’t really our goal, but I’m happy to have won anyway.”
Final Standings for the 2111 USWF War Games were as follows: 1. Rebel Forces (132 points) 2. Primary Colors (117 points) 3. Agents of Fortune (95 points) 4. The Star Defenders (94 points) 5T. Gladiators of Aethra (88 points) 5T. The King’s Court (88 points) 7T. Death Row (84 points) 7T. Penthouse Suite (84 points) 9. The Guardians (79 points)
CHUPACABRAS DOWNS LYCANTHROPE FOR IS TITLE Chupacabaras defeated Lycanthrope to win the Interstellar Title at the Algol Double Star Arena on October 13. The challenger caught Lycanthrope off guard at the beginning of the match, which was over almost as soon as it began. Just two minutes into the contest, Chupacabras hit the champion with his “Never Saw It Coming” bulldog finisher and rolled him up for the win. Lycanthrope’s most recent Interstellar Title Reign ended after six months and ten successful defenses. Chupacabras earned his first title outside of the cruiserweight division.
MACCAVITY ENDS GILA’S TITLE REIGN Gila’s unexpected reign as USWF Cruiserweight Champion ended on November 1 when he lost the belt to Maccavity at the Olympus Moons Acropolis. Maccavity took the advantage immediately in the match and never relinquished it. After just over one minute the challenger connected with three straight “Grand Theft” finishers. Gila kicked out the first two times, but after the third he was crushed too badly to continue. Maccavity, the 2110 USWF Wrestler of the Year, won the cruiserwight title for the third time in his career. Gila held the belt for ten weeks and defended it successfully four times.

TITLE CHANGE, CHALLENGE AT AETHRA WAR DOME Two significant events took place on the USWF card at the Aethra War Dome on November 25, 2111. First, Colossus won his first title in the USWF, defeating Chupacabras for the Interstellar Strap. Not much later the Rebel Forces team issued an exciting challenge for 2112.
Colossus, who has been the hottest wrestler in the federation recently, took care of Chupacabras in just three minutes. The former GWF Heavyweight Champion seized the advantage when his smaller foe missed a suicide dive and scored with a double underhook DDT to claim the Interstellar Title.
“This has been too long coming,” Colossus said later. “I’ve been held back by everyone, but they couldn’t stop me this time. I should have the heavyweight title, but first things first. This is a step in the right direction.”
The challenge came after the Aethran tag team Rebellion had defeated Predator and Wrath when Scar pinned Wrath. Amazingly, it was Rebellion’s first win over their arch-rivals all year. As Blitz and Scar celebrated, USWF Heavyweught Champion Raven climbed into the ring and took a microphone.
“So you two finally got a win over our team,” Raven scoffed. “That makes you about one for ten. Predator and Wrath have pounded you all year, and Lycanthrope, Holocaust, and I have done almost the same with Venom, Ravage, and Rush. It’s time to end this once and for all. We want to be rid of you, and you want us gone. So here’s what I suggest.
“Next year, we’ll keep track of who wins more. We challenge your team to a Sudden Death Matchup. We’ll go all year, and any match between members of our teams will count. Whoever has more points at the end is the winner.
“If you win, Predator and Wrath have both agreed to leave the USWF for two years. But if we win, Venom and one other member of your team—whoever you choose--is gone. Does Venom have enough faith in you to accept this? Do any of you have the guts? Let’s see.”
Raven and his teammates left the ring. Later in the evening, Venom accepted the challenge for the Gladiator team, subject to the commissioner’s approval.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT AT USWF AWARD BANQUET The thirteenth annual USWF Awards Banquet took place on December 17, 2111 at the Callisto Civic Auditorium of Jupiter. USWF Majority Owner Magnus Colby attended, as did nearly all of the USWF’s active wrestlers and managers. Guests attending this year’s banquet included GWF Commissioner Morpheus, GWWF Commissioner Sandrisa Tralington, Lance At-Las, Wolf, Amazonia, Pegasus, Commander Sam, Lord Nexus, Supernova, and others.
“Welcome, everyone, to our annual event,” Commissioner Grogan said as he opened the program. “We have a great evening planned. Honestly, I feel as good tonight as I have in a long time, knowing that the threats and harassment from Cordanus seem to be coming to an end. I look forward to hearing the resolution of this matter in a few days at the GWF’s Galacticade event.
“Now, though, I want to begin the evening by honoring our best performers from 2111. We had a lot of great moments in a difficult year, but the following individuals stood out.” The commissioner then proceeded to present the following awards:
Wrestler of the Year: Raven The current USWF Heavyweight Champion has held the title since September, defending it successfully twelve times so far. He also won the Star Challenge singles tournament for the first time in his career and led the Rebel Forces to victory in the War Games while compiling a 34-15 overall record. Runners-up: 1. Venom (an impressive 32-20 record and two reigns as USWF Heavyweight Champion in a breakout year); 2.) Black Hawk (started the year as heavyweight champion and held the belt until March. Finished with a 35-18 record before suffering a recent year-ending injury); 3. Colossus (Ended the year as Interstellar Champion with a 25-18 record and will challenge for the USWF Heavyweight Title at the upcoming Center Stage Spectacular Supercard).
Tag Team of the Year: Upper Class (Varsity and Witherspoon) Varsity and Witherspoon won the tag team titles in May, lost them for one month in August, and have again held the belts since September. Their two title reigns in 2111 have included nineteen successful defenses so far. Their overall record was an outstanding 37-13. Runners-up: 1. Theater of Pain (Held the belts for the first three months of the year and interrupted the dominance of Upper Class for another short reign in September. A 26-22 overall record); 2. Rebellion (for the first time in four years Blitz and Scar do not take the top tag team honors. Winners of the Star Challenge Tag Team Tournament and their first nine matches of the year, but then slumped to a 23-18 overall record and fared poorly in their feud with Predator and Wrath); 3. Predator and Wrath (Showed no interest in the titles, focusing instead on dominating their feud with Rebellion in compiling a 21-13 record).
Top Newcomer: Doctor Payne In a year without many rookies debuting, Doctor Payne arrived in May for the War Games and put together a solid 12-15 record, including a brief reign as War Games Singles Champion. Runners-up: 1. Rush (The young Aethran had an 11-13 record and some impressive wins); 2. Gordo (Record was only 11-24 but won the Star Challenge Battle Royal early in the year).
When the award presentations were complete, the commissioner announced that Kati had requested a moment to speak. “I heard the challenge the Rebel Forces put out to the Aethrans for a Sudden Death Matchup next year, “the big Samoan said. “It sounded like a good idea to me. My teams have been fighting Dagger Mack and the Agents of Fortune for years. I say we put it on the line in 2112. The Guardians hereby challenge the Agents of Fortune to a Sudden Death challenge next year.” Commissioner Grogan then took the microphone again. “Kati told me in advance what he had in mind,” Grogan said. “The USWF just had a Sudden Death year three years ago, but after all we have gone through with Cordanus and those problems, I think it is time to shake things up and clean up[ the roster a bit. Therefore, after consulting with Mr. Colby, I have decided that instead of the War Games in 2112, the USWF will hold a Sudden Death Banishment Competition. Obviously two of the matchups will feature Rebel Forces against the Gladiators and the Guardians against the Agents of Fortune. We will announce the other challenges in January. Anyone with input into this matter is welcome to contact me. “It has been a great year, in spite of Cordanus,” Grogan finished. “Congratulations to all of our award winners. We’ll see everyone at the Center Stage Spectacular tomorrow night.”
CENTER STAGE SPECTACULAR SUPERCARD PREVIEW Raven defends the USWF Heavyweight Title against Interstellar Champion Colossus Upper Class defends the USWF Tag Team Titles against Theater of Pain Maccavity defends the USWF Cruiserweight Title against Skyfire Holocaust, Lycanthrope, Wrath, and Predator meet Venom, Blitz, Scar, and Ravage in an Aethran Ultimate Escape Match Jack of Diamonds meets the Dominator in a Lepus Stun Rod Match Cruiserweights compete for the number one contender spot in a gauntlet match; Competitors will include Gila, Talon, Chupacabras, Lycosa, Halcón Oro, Rush, Karah, and Palishandor. ANOTHER AETHRAN TWIST AT CENTER STAGE SPECTACULAR The USWF held its ninth annual Center Stage Spectacular Supercard on December 18, 2111 before a sellout crowd of over 56,000 fans at Jupiter’s Callisto Centroplex. Numerous guests from the GWF and the GWWF attended, including GWF Commissioner Morpheus, Commander Sam, Wolf, Amazonia, the Canadian Bomber, Captain Dalcost, Lance At-Las, Amazonia, Painmaster, Tocsin, and Thrash. Several major USWF stars were injured or suspended and unable to participate on the card, including Pathfinder, Angst, Homicide, Reckless Abandon, Zed Marlowe, Zouave, and Black Hawk.
CENTER STAGE SPECTACULAR: THE CARD
Greg Valentine over Bishop Hell Time: 8:10 A tough match finally won by Valentine with a shoulder breaker, but Bishop Hell put up a surprisingly strong fight. As the Bishop left the ring, Necros jumped out of the crowd and threw Phantom Dust in his eyes. Necros then slammed Bishop Hell to the floor with a DDT in apparent retaliation for the Bishop’s actions at the recent GWWF Awards Banquet.
The Stormtroopers and the Lower World fought to a Double Disqualification Time: 1:08 Hammer dominated Death’s Head in the early moments, but it did not take long for the match between these two veteran teams to get completely out of hand.
Cosmic Cage Match: Tarloc over Doctor Payne Time: 3:17 Payne had an early advantage, but the huge Tarloc turned it around and won with a Dragon Suplex.
Cruiserweight Gauntlet Match: Rush wins the final fall Time: 19:24 In this match, two cruiserweights fought at a time, with a new wrestler entering to challenge the winner after each fall until all but one were eliminated. Chupacabras put in a terrific performance but ran out of gas against Rush in the final fall. Falls went as follows: Halcón Oro over Gila, Karah over Halcón Oro, Chupacabras over Karah, Chupacabras over Talon, Chupacabras over Palishandor, Chupacabras over Lycosa, Rush over Chupacabras.
Titan Hardcore Match: The Troubleshooters over Espionage Time: 4:58 Both members of the Troubleshooters were returning from injuries, with Muss having missed several weeks, but they managed to put Saboteur down with a “Trouble Times Two.”
Tirion Triple Threat Match: Kati over Dagger Mack in a match also involving Stargazer. Time: 11:28 Kati won it with a “Samoan Revenge” in an outstanding contest.
Cruiserweight Title Match: Maccavity (c) over Skyfire Time: 2:47 No problem for the champion as he retained his belt with a “Grand Theft.”
Charon and Scorpio over the Penthouse Punks with Bounty Hunter as referee Time: 4:22 Scorpio pinned Taurine to win this grudge match.
Falls Count Anywhere Match: Daniel Steamline over Crow Time: 5:08 This was an excellent match that went all over the arena before Streamline finally won it in the ring with a gourdbuster.
Lepus Stun Rod Match: The Dominator over Jack of Diamonds by disqualification Time: 8:02 A very good match until Jack was disqualified for illegal use of the Stun Rod
Aethran Ultimate Escape Match: No contest Time: 0:00 This match was to pit Predator, Wrath, Holocaust, and Lycanthrope against their Aethran rivals Venom, Blitz, Scar, and Ravage. Predator’s team entered the cage first, followed by the Aethrans. As the referee prepared to close the cage door, however, Vengeance and Mayhem leaped out of the crowd and into the cage, knocked out the referee, and locked the cage door behind them. Predator and his teammates immediately began brawling with the Aethrans, but Vengeance was carrying some sort of stun gun, and one by one he quickly shocked the gladiators’ opponents into submission. Vengeance then produced handcuffs with which all four of Predator’s team members were locked to the cage walls, and he then brought out several sets of brass knuckles and distributed them to the Aethran team.
Wolf, seeing his son Lycanthrope’s situation, ran from the audience and tried to climb into the cage, as did Raven, who came sprinting from the backstage area. However, GWF and USWF cage walls are sloped outward to make climbing into a cage to interfere more difficult; thus, while Wolf and Raven might eventually make their way into the cage, they could not do so before serious damage would be done. USWF Head Referee Bounty Hunter came from the back with bolt cutters to try to break through the cage door, but his progress was slow as well.
While Venom and Blitz smiled knowingly at the interference by Vengeance and Mayhem, both Ravage and Scar seemed taken by surprise. Ravage quickly took the hint and matched his teammates’ smiles, but Scar seemed to hesitate, a troubled look on his face. Then, just as the Aethrans began the attack on their helpless opponents, Scar stunned everyone in the arena by blasting Vengeance with the brass knuckles he had been given. Scar then turned on Ravage, likewise knocking him down. Venom, Blitz, and Mayhem, enraged at their teammate’s actions, swiftly turned on Scar and began to pound him to the mat. The smaller Aethran fought back as best he could, but he was no match for the powerful trio of assailants. However, Scar managed to keep the fight going long enough for Wolf and Raven to complete their climb into the cage to defend the handcuffed wrestlers. Moments later Bounty Hunter managed to cut through the door and jumped into the ring as well. With the odds now more even, the Aethrans withdrew from the cage, dragging Vengeance and Ravage with them. The ring was eventually cleared and the handcuffed wrestlers released. Scar left the ringside area with the opponents he had expected to fight and had ended up defending.
USWF Tag Team Championship: Upper Class (c) over Theater of Pain Time: 2:34 Varsity and Witherspoon continued their dominance as Witherspoon pinned Tragedy.
USWF Heavyweight Title Match: Colossus over Raven (c) Time: 5:54 In a tough contest that went back and forth several times, Colossus finally scored the pin with a “Double Smash,” capturing the USWF Heavyweight Title for the first time in his career.
CENTER STAGE SPECTACULAR WRAP-UP Colossus, a three time former GWF Heavyweight Champion, celebrated his first win of the USWF title by proclaiming that he would be the greatest champion in federation history. “I’ve finally been given a chance to prove what I can do,” the cyborg stated. “No one can compete with me in a fair fight. Raven was no match for me. I have the title now, and there is simply no one in this federation who can take it from me.” Both Crow and Daniel Streamline announced after their match that they were leaving the federation in 2112. “I appreciate all of the fans and everyone I’ve worked with here,” Streamline said. “I’ve had a great career. But the time comes to do other things, and this is just that time for me.” Crow offered no official farewell statement. The real talk of the USWF was the outcome of the Aethran Ultimate escape match. “We should have expected it,” Predator said. “They pull something like this every year. Last year they all jumped Wrath. It’s happened over and over, year after year. I’m just glad Scar came to his senses in time.” For his part, Scar expressed regret at his actions of the past year. “I never really wanted to break from the Badger and Wrath to begin with,” the Aethran star said. “It was really all Blitz’s idea. I never felt comfortable with what he and Venom were doing, but Blitz and I were partners for so long that I didn’t feel like I could leave him. But tonight I couldn’t let it happen again, either. I had to do something. I just hope the Badger and the others can take me back, because I know Venom and Blitz won't want me anymore.”

SURPRISES AT USWF OPENING PRESS CONFERENCE The USWF’s year-opening press conference for 2112 took place on January 24, the day after the conclusion of the GWF’s Galaxy Cup tournaments, in the press room of Colby Palace on Planet Colby. Commissioner Grogan served as master of ceremonies. Also appearing on stage were USWF majority owner Magnus Colby and representatives from various of the USWF’s teams. Most of the federation’s active wrestlers were in the audience along with the media. “Welcome back, everyone,” Grogan began. “I hope you all had a good holiday break. We have a lot to cover today, so I want to get right down to business. Each of the team representatives here will present their own rosters. The presentations will come in pairs reflecting this year’s Sudden Death matchups. Kati, you were chosen to go first. Team representatives then made their statements in the following order:
Kati (Team Leader, The Guardians): “In addition to me, Angst, and Espionage, I am pleased to state that Holocaust has decided to join us this year, and Brave will continue to serve as our bodyguard. As was announced in December, our Sudden Death opponents will be the Agents of Fortune.”
Dagger Mack (Team Leader, Agents of Fortune): “Our singles wrestlers will be the same as they have been: me, Homicide, and Reckless Abandon. For a tag team, we are pleased to welcome back to the USWF, for the first time in many years, Painmaster and Tocsin, the Watchmen. And to watch our backs, Marcel de Sade has agreed to return and join us.”
Vascor (Manager, Penthouse Suite): “Our roster is unchanged: USWF Heavyweight Champion Colossus, The Dominator, Tarloc, and the Penthouse Punks. Our Sudden Death opponents will of course be the Star Defenders.”
Unknown Soldier (Manager, Star Defenders): “From last year we return Black Hawk, Pathfinder, Charon, and Scorpio. Daniel Streamline has retired, but to replace him we welcome back Lance At-Las, the founder and original manager of this team, who will now join us as an active wrestler.”
Exo-King (manager, King’s Court): “We return Jack of Diamonds, Zouave, and Zed Marlowe, who will soon be fully recovered from the terrible injuries he suffered last year. And once again this year, the Troubleshooters, managed by Phantasy, have agreed to team up with us. In Sudden Death we will be opposing Primary Colors.”
Marikel (Manager, Primary Colors): “We return the tag team champions, Varsity and Witherspoon, and the cruiserweight champion, Maccavity, as well as Doctor Payne. And for a fifth member, we have added Lycosa for this year.”
Incredible Badger (Manager, Rebel Forces): “We have not changed our personnel a lot, but things will be a bit different. Predator and Wrath will join Raven in singles competition, so Colossus had better not get too comfortable with that belt. And for a tag team, Lycanthrope has agreed for this year to join forces with our newest team member, Scar. As has already been arranged, our Sudden Death battle wil be against the Aethrans.”
Blitz (Team Leader, Gladiators of Aethra): “Scar does not know how sorry he’s gonna be. But I’ll leave that up to our new tag team, P3 and Rush, who will be called the Aethran New Wave. I’ll move into singles action along with Venom and our newest member, sent by Minister of War Vengeance to help us against the half-breeds Predator and Wrath: Mayhem is returning to the USWF.”
Silver Ace (Manager, Death Row): "My men will be taking on Cassandra’s team this year, whatever they are calling themselves. We return our same roster: Stargazer, Chupacabras, Hurricane, and Skyfire.”
Cassandra (Manager, Cassandra’s Army): “We return our three team members from last year: the Stormtroopers and Dynamo. But we’ve also added a familiar face. Mace has agreed to leave the GWF and to join us here.”
Terak (Manager, Savage Kingdom): “We still have Wildcat, Karah, Gila, and Talon, and now we are pleased to have added Halcón Oro to the team. I’m told that our Sudden Death feud is against a team called the True Way, but I have no idea who that is."
“Then be enlightened,” said a voice from the stage wings. Out onto the stage strode Talisman, who had not been seen in the GWF or the USWF for two years. Behind him came the Lower World, Bishop Hell, and a strange humanoid creature that seemed to shift colors every few seconds.
Talisman (Team Leader, The True Way): “Meet the True Way—more than just a wrestling team, but a movement to save all of you. You see here our new recruit, Indigo, along with the rest of our team. We will show everyone in the USWF the True Way to inner peace and spirituality by modeling such virtues in the ring.”
“Weird as ever. Big surprise,” muttered Exo-King.
“Well, I think that’s everyone,” said Commissioner Grogan, “and for once we made it through this press conference without anyone kicking in the doors for a grand entrance. I also want to announce that Theater of Pain, the Musketeers, and Gordo will compete in the USWF but will not be involved in Sudden Death. The same goes for three newcomers: Grunge, a rookie named Bust Up, and Necros, who seems to have some issues with Bishop Hell. We look forward to seeing all of you at our first card of the year, here at Colby Palace in three days. Welcome again to everyone, and best wishes for a great year.”

DOUBLE TITLE CHANGE ON FIRST USWF CARD OF 2112 The USWF held its first card of 2112 on January 27 at Colby Palace on Planet Colby. Before the evening was over, two of the federation’s titles had changed hands.
The first champion to fall was Maccavity, who had held the cruiserweight belt since November of 2111. The young Aethran high-flyer Rush manhandled the long-time USWF star, finally ending the match with his “What a Rush” finisher. Rush thus became a champion for the first time as he entered his second year in the USWF. Maccavity saw his third reign as cruiserweight champion come to an end.
Next up was the hardcore title, as the champion Pathfinder took on Reckless Abandon in a Total Anarchy Match. Once again the younger wrestler dominated the match, hammering the eight-time former USWF Heavyweight Champion before pinning him on the floor. Pathfinder’s reign as hardcore champion ended after four defenses, while Reckless Abandon won the belt for the second time.
In the main event, Raven rolled over current USWF Heavyweight Champion Colossus in a non-title match. Making their return to the USWF on the card were Lance At-Las, Mayhem, Mace, Grunge, Painmaster, and Tocsin.
USWF NOTES Holocaust was injured in a brutal attack by Homicide and the Watchmen on February 10 and is expected to miss six weeks of action. Commissioner Grogan suspended all three of Holocaust’s assailants for the incident . . . Kati pounded new Hardcore Champion Reckless Abandon in a barbed wire cage match. The hardcore belt was not on the line in the contest, but Kati clearly established himself as the top contender . . . Mayhem and Mace have both been outstanding since returning to the USWF. Mayhem has won three of four matches, including an upset of Raven. Mace is unbeaten in four contests, including a surprising win over Wrath.
