USWF STAR CHALLENGE 2112
The USWF held its twelfth annual Star Challenge Supercard at Fire Island on March 1, 2112. The event includes two tournaments, one for single wrestlers and another for tag teams. The USWF commissioner’s office determines which wrestlers will be included in each tournament, with all matches in both tournaments fought under no disqualification rules. The Challenge also traditionally features a Battle Royal for wrestlers not invited to participate in the tournaments, with the winner receiving a shot at the Interstellar Title.
Tag Team Tournament Round One Upper Class, Espionage, the Penthouse Punks, and Blackout all received byes.
The Troubleshooters defeated the Stormtroopers (Time: 6:11) Stormfront (Hurricane and Shyfire) blasted Rush and P3 (Time: 1:39) Theater of Pain downed the Lower World (Time: 7:51) The Hunters of Prey upset Scar and Lycanthrope (Time: 7:25)
Three of the four first round tag team matches were excellent, hard-fought contests, with only Stormfront earning an easy win. The Stormtroopers controlled most of their match with the Troubleshooters before falling in the end.
Singles Tournament Round One Colossus over Lance At-Las (Time: 2:21) Black Hawk over Blitz (Time: 3:47) Raven over Tarloc (Time: 4:59) Predator over Pathfinder (Time: 2:29) Jack of Diamonds over Maccavity (Time: 2:12) Mayhem over Wrath (Time: 3:45) Venom over Reckless Abandon (Time: 2:10) Mace over Chupacabras (Time: 1:07)
No real surprises in round one of the singles tournament as the higher seed won every match.
Tag Team Tournament Quarterfinals Upper Class (Varsity and Witherspoon) over the Troubleshooters (Time: 2:29) Stormfront over Blackout (Charon and Scorpio) (Time: 2:35) Espionage over Theater of Pain (Time: 5:36) Hunters of Prey upset the Penthouse Punks (Time: 1:51)
The Hunters of Prey, who won only six matches in all of 2111, won their second of the tournament by stunning the Punks. Best match of the round was Espionage in a tough win over Theater of Pain when Comedy was pinned by Saboteur.
Singles Tournament Quarterfinals Black Hawk over Colossus (Time: 1:35) Predator over Raven (Time: 1:46) Jack of Diamonds over Mayhem (Time: 4:50) Venom over Mace (Time: 2:57)
Black Hawk eliminated USWF Heavyweight Champion Colossus in surprisingly easy fashion, and Raven suffered a quick loss to his teammate and long-time friend Predator. Mayhem put up a tough fight before going down to Jack of Diamonds.
Tag Team Tournament Semi-Finals Upper Class over Stormfront Time: 10:55 In perhaps the best tag team match of the day, Stormfront put in a tremendous effort and nearly pulled off the upset of the USWF Tag Team Champions. Varsity finally pinned Hurricane after a belly-to-belly suplex to score the win. With the victory, Upper Class tied the USWF record for consecutive wins at twelve, equaling the mark set by the Star Patrol in 2100-2101.
Espionage over the Hunters of Prey Time: 1:50 The surprising success of the Hunters came to an end quickly as Wildcat went down to a “Double Agent.”
Singles Tournament Semi-Finals Predator over Black Hawk Time: 3:00 In a match between two close friends who have seen each other as brothers for many years, Predator scored with an “Incoming Missile” for the victory.
Venom over Jack of Diamonds Time: 8:14 In the best singles contest of the card, Jack of Diamonds made an outstanding showing before finally suffering his first loss of 2112 when Venom connected with a “Snakebite.”
Battle Royal Order of Elimination was as follows: Lycosa by Zouave, Palishandor by Zouave, Shanramore by Talon, Talon by the Dominator, Gordo by Bishop Hell, Halcon Oro by Bishop Hell, Dynamo by Indigo, Bishop Hell by Kati, Dagger Mack by Angst, Zouave by Doctor Payne, Gila by Indigo, Doctor Payne by Angst, Grunge by Bust Up, Angst by Indigo after a panic attack, Indigo by Kati, Kati by the Dominator, Bust Up by the Dominator after a missed turnbuckle charge.
The Dominator, who has won only once in seven matches in 2112, survived the battle royal to claim the win. The rookie Bust Up put in a surprisingly strong performance, as did his fellow first-year performer Indigo.
Tag Team Tournament Final Espionage over Upper Class Time: 1:41 Espionage won the Star Challenge Tournament for the first time by stunning the USWF Tag Team Champions with a quick roll-up on Witherspoon after a “Covert Operation.” The loss snapped the record-tying win streak of Upper Class.
Singles Tournament Final Venom over Predator Time: 3:02 After defeating two of his closest friends and allies (Black Hawk and Raven) in earlier rounds, Predator ran into an arch-enemy in the finals as he faced Venom. The star of the Gladiator team hammered Predator quickly and used his “Slow Death” move to capture his first Star Challenge Championship.

COLOSSUS TOPS JACK ON WILD PRANTARES CARD USWF Heavyweight Champion Colossus finally made his first defense of the title he won in December 2111 and narrowly escaped with the belt before a sellout crowd of over 37,000 fans at the Prantares United Center on March 21, 2112. Colossus, who had managed to avoid a title defense for nearly three months due to injuries and various avoidance techniques, finally put his belt on the line against Jack of Diamonds, who had defeated the champion in a non-title match a week earlier. Jack took an early advantage and nearly pinned Colossus with a “Jacked Up” early in the contest, but Colossus’ manager Vascor managed to distract the referee. The champion fought back, and momentum shifted several times with both wrestlers suffering multiple near falls. Finally, at the seven minute mark, Colossus hit his “Robotic Deathblow” for the third time in the match and scored the pin. Jack of Diamonds and Exo-King immediately began demanding a rematch. “Colossus escaped tonight, nothing more,” the King stated. “Jack had him beat. This is nowhere near over yet. And we’re not waiting another three months for another shot, either.” In addition to the heavyweight championship match, the card featured several other exciting and noteworthy contests and moments. Among the highlights were the following:
USWF Tag Team Champions Upper Class (Varsity and Witherspoon) held off a great challenge from Theater of Pain to retain their titles. Witherspoon caught Comedy with a superkick at the five minute mark to take the fall and extend the champions’ string of successful title defenses to 21.
The ongoing tournament to crown a new Interstellar Champion saw two major upsets. First Halcón Oro stunned Mace in an outstanding contest, finally putting the big man away with a “Caida de Muerte.” A short time later Lycosa joined his former partner in the tournament semi-finals by surprising the heavily favored Black Hawk.
Early on the card, Zed Marlowe and Talisman put on a great show before Marlowe scored the pin with a “Duck and Cover.”
Blazing Skull and Anarchy, visiting the USWF during a GWF suspension, both suffered defeats. Anarchy was competing in the USWF for the first time ever and was devastated by Kati in a Four Weapons of Destruction Match. Kati was barely scratched, while Anarchy was helped from the ring and may miss a month of action. Blazing Skull, who began his career in the USWF in 2101 before entering the GWF, also went down to defeat as Raven pinned him with a “Bladerunner.”
“I never have liked those Brymstone lunatics,” Kati commented after the card. “I don’t think we need Skull and Anarchy here. So now Anarchy won’t be bothering anyone for a while. Skull may be next if I get a chance.”
The Hunters of Prey, who won only six times in all of 2111, got their fifth win already in 2112 by downing the Lower World.
The most violent moment on the card happened after a tag team match pitting Lycanthrope and Scar against the Aethran team of P3 and Rush. Scar was beaten horribly throughout the contest but refused to be pinned. When Lycanthrope finally tagged in, the son of Wolf quickly hit his “The Howling” finisher and pinned Rush for the comeback win. A brawl broke out after the bell, with Blitz joining the Aethran team and Wrath running down to help Lycanthrope and Scar. Rush was badly injured in the melee and will miss approximately six weeks of action. USWF Commissioner Grogan suspended Wrath, Scar, and Lycanthrope for two months. With Predator having been suspended a week earlier, the Incredible Badger’s Untamed Warriors are now left with only Raven as an active wrestler. The suspension also caused Wrath to be dropped from the interstellar title tournament, giving Lance At-Las a bye into the semi-finals.
“I ain’t got many friends,” Wrath stated when asked about the brawl. “I don’t even like Scar much after he turned on us a couple of years ago, no matter how sorry he says he is now. But Lycanthrope is someone I respect, so I went in to help him. If it cost me my spot in the tournament, that’s fine. I’ll take the belt after the suspension’s over if that’s how it needs to be. But I’m not gonna miss a chance to punk out the Aethrans. That’s worth more to me than a belt anyway.”
USWF NOTES: Pathfinder, the eight-time former USWF heavyweight champion thought by many to be losing a step, has pinned current champion Colossus twice in non-title matches this year . . . Jack of Diamonds is off to his best start ever with an 8-2 record. Likewise, Espionage is currently 9-3 for the year . . . Holocaust remains out of action after being injured by Painmaster, Tocsin, and Homicide. His assailants have been wrestling in the GWF during their suspension but are scheduled to return soon . . . Predator was suspended for six weeks for injuring Mayhem.

UNIVERSAL BATTLEGROUND 2112 The USWF held its first Universal Battleground supercard at the Shrine of the Flaming Star of Aurigae on April 7, 2112. Universal Battleground replaces the Maxus Madness card, which was retired because the USWF’s contract with the Maxus Trinity Towers shifted to the GWF in the latest arena rights reorganization.
The main event for Universal Battleground was scheduled to be a USWF Heavyweight Title Match with Colossus defending against the Aethran star Venom. However, a week before the supercard Venom was badly injured in a brawl with the Star Defenders and was declared medically unable to complete. Commissioner Grogan named Raven to replace Venom in the title match.
In another important contest, Lance At-Las and Lycosa reached the finals of the tournament to fill the vacant Interstellar Belt. Their match was set to open the supercard, with the winner facing the Dominator for the championship later in the evening. The Dominator earned his spot in the title match through his battle royal win at the Star Challenge. Also on the card, USWF tag team champions Upper Class were scheduled to defend against Star Challenge Tournament winners Espionage, and Kati challenged Reckless Abandon to a Torture Chamber Match for the Hardcore Title.
Interstellar Title Tournament Final Lance At-Las over Lycosa Time: 7:18 In a very good match to begin the card, Lance pulled out the win with a “Mars Manhandler.” Lycosa was injured in the contest.
Stargazer over Gordo Time: 1:44 Stargazer beat down the big man with the “Blind Fury.”
The Lower World over the Hunters of Prey Time: 4:33 Death’s Head put away Karah with a “Funeral March.”
Chupacabras over Zed Marlowe Time: 2:03 This match was all Chupa as he won with a “Bloodsucker.”
Halcón Oro over Indigo Time: 3:38 Oro won with a Caida de Muerte. After the bell a brawl erupted between the Savage Kingdom and the True Way in which Talon and Oro injured Indigo.
Necros over Bishop Hell Time: 4:20 Necros used the “Bite of the Vampire” to beat the Bishop, who is winless in eight matches in 2112.
Castor Chain Match Blitz over Tarloc Time: 2:01 The Aethran strongman got an easy win with the “Loose Cannon.”
Circinus Cell Match Angst over Dagger Mack Time: 5:39 Angst overcame the leader of the Agents of Fortune with an “Ante Mortem.”
Titan Hardcore Tag Team Match The Watchmen over Theater of Pain Time: 8:17 In a tough match between two of the five teams that have held both the GWF and USWF Tag Team Belts (along with the Warrior Kings, the Ninja Assassins, and Armageddon), Painmaster scored the pin on Comedy with an “Impale Clothesline.”
Four Weapons of Destruction Match Homicide over Holocaust Time: 4:54 Both wrestlers were injured in this brutal contest.
Torture Chamber Match for the Hardcore Championship Kati over Reckless Abandon (c) Time: 5:32 Kati completely dominated this match to claim the first title of his long USWF career.
The Troubleshooters over the Penthouse Punks with Bounty Hunter as referee Time: 0:32 Romulus began the match by attempting a turnbuckle whip, but The Bomb reversed him and surprised him with a press slam to score the quick pin.
Lepus Stun Rod Match Maccavity over Jack of Diamonds Time: 3:33 Maccavity, a former USWF champion and wrestler of the year who has won only twice in twelve matches in 2112, stunned Jack by knocking him out with the stun rod.
Barbed Wire Cage Match Mace over Mayhem Time: 4:45 Mace pounded down a bloody Mayhem to score the win in a brutal contest.
Interstellar Title Match Lance At-Las over the Dominator Time: 8:30 This slow-moving contest ended when Lance blasted the Dominator with a “Mars Manhandler.” The winning move was the first time in the match that either man connected with his finisher. Lance won his first title in the USWF.
USWF Tag Team Title Match Upper Class (Varsity and Witherspoon) (c) over Espionage Time: 5:58 This exciting back and forth match seemed to be going in Espionage’s favor when Varsity was hit by the “Double Agent.” However, Witherspoon made the save, and as Shylock was being escorted out of the ring by the referee, Saboteur was attacked by both champions and was then rolled up by Varsity for the win. Upper Class has now defended their titles successfully twenty three times, the third highest total in a single reign in USWF tag team history.
Before the champions could leave the ring after the match, the Troubleshooters appeared on the interview platform. Muss picked up a microphone, pointed toward Witherspoon and Varsity, and uttered a single sentence: “Our turn comes next.”
USWF Heavweight Championship Match Colossus (c) over Raven Time: 6:11 Colossus has not been a strong champion since winning the title in December and was making only his second official defense, but he managed to catch Raven after a missed turnbuckle charge and roll him up for the pin.

ANDROMEDA EXPLOSION 2112 The USWF held its ninth annual Andromeda Explosion supercard on May 13, 2112 at the Andromeda Nebula Pavilion. This year’s card took place before a near-sellout crowd of over 46, 000 fans.
In the main event for the card, Venom was finally set to receive his USWF Heavyweight Title shot against Colossus, an opportunity Venom earned by winning the Star Challenge tournament but had so far been denied due to an injury. USWF Tag Team Champions Upper Class were scheduled to fight the Troubleshooters, and Lance At-Las was to make his first defense of his new Interstellar Title against Mace.
Andromeda Explosion 2112: The Card
Talisman over Dynamo Time: 0:22 Talisman stunned his bigger opponent with a quick tilt-a-whirl slam and got the quick pin.
The Stormtroopers vs. The Aethran New Wave (P3 and Rush) Time: 3:04 This one was all Stormtroopers as Rush went down to a “Stormtrooper Blitz.”
Between matches, Necros was interviewed in the locker room area regarding his upcoming Barbed Wire Cage Match with Bishop Hell. At Necros’ side was his protégée Blood Rose. “This thing between me and the Bishop has gone on long enough,” Necros said. “We have a lot of history, but I have better things to worry about than a broken down old man like him. So tonight, I’m going to end it. This will be his last match. When I’m done with him, he won’t be able to fight again. He will not leave this arena under his own power.”
Chupacabras over the Dominator Time: 4:42 The Dominator seemed to have the match won early with a “Painful Domination,” but Chupacabras’ manager Silver Ace distracted to referee to prevent the pin, and Chupacabras came back to pick up the win.
Indigo over Gila by disqualification Time: 3:42 This match started out as a good battle until Gila was disqualified during a brawl on the arena floor.
Lava Pit Match: Angst over Homicide Time: 4:08 Fighting in the artificial environment, Angst had no trouble putting Homicide away with an “Ante Mortem.”
The Lower World over the Hunters of Prey Time: 2:33 This match began with a surprise, as Maleph, who had until recently been managing Brymstone Burning in the GWF, came to the ring at the side of the Lower World. The Hunters seemed to have their concentration thrown off by this development and were never able to get on track as Erebus pinned Karah with a “Brymstone Bludgeon.”
After the match, Maleph was interviewed backstage. “Skull and Anarchy don’t need me right now,” he said, “and Tortured Soul doesn’t even know whether I’m there or not. So for now, I am here in the USWF. The Lower World has been ignored long enough. With my help, they will rule the tag team division.”
Barbed Wire Cage Match: Bishop Hell over Necros Time: 4:58 Necros battered the Bishop mercilessly for the first three minutes of this contest, bloodying his opponent as he repeatedly used the barbed wire as a weapon. However, Necros obviously wanted to do more than win the match, and he twice passed up clear opportunities to score the win. Bishop Hell’s granddaughter Rose Caldarian came to the ring and was preparing to throw in the towel, but the Bishop caught Necros off guard by reversing a head slam into the barbed wire and, although he was clearly weakened, managed to turn the tide. With Necros now staggered, the Bishop connected with a “Flying Cross” and scored the win. Both wrestlers were helped from the cage after the match.
Castor Chain Match: Dagger Mack over Holocaust Time: 2:58 Holocaust lost it when a “Shock Wave” backfired on him.
Reckless Abandon over Maccavity by Disqualification Time: 2:46 Troubles continued for the three-time former USWF champion Maccavity as his manager Marikel jumped in to cause the disqualification after Reckless had connected with the “All or Nothing.”
Espionage over the Watchmen with Bounty Hunter as referee Time: 14:28 In one of the best matches on the card, Espionage battered both Painmaster and Tocsin but could not put them away, in part due to repeated interference by Agents of Fortune bodyguard Marcel de Sade. Bounty Hunter eventually knocked de Sade out, and Saboteur pinned Painmaster with a swinging neckbreaker to end the grueling battle.
Lepus Stun Rod Match Lycosa over Zed Marlowe Time: 3:50 The latest chapter in this growing rivalry was all Lycosa as he won it with a “Black Widow’s Bite.”
Jack of Diamonds spoke to USWF interviewer Qualitar before his upcoming match with Doctor Payne. “Payne has beaten me twice this year, but both of those matches were flukes,” Jack said. “And then when I beat him last week, he jumped me after the bell and injured me. Well, I may not be one hundred percent tonight, but I don’t need to be all here to beat him. It’s time I made a statement to Payne, and I’m about to do so.”
Titan Hardcore Match Jack of Diamonds over Doctor Payne Time: 0:41 Fighting despite an injury previously inflicted on him by Payne, Jack wasted no time connecting with a “Jacked Up” for the win.
Four Weapons of Destruction Match Blitz over Raven Time: 5:06 The Aethran powerhouse pulled off the upset in this tough battle that saw both wrestlers sustain injuries.
Theater of Pain over the Penthouse Punks Time: 7:39 Theater of Pain beat down first Romulus and then Taurine before Comedy finally pinned Taurine with a legdrop off the turnbuckle.
Interstellar Title Match Lance At-Las (c) over Mace by disqualification Time: 5:31 Mace completely controlled this contest and appeared to have his first ever singles title won but lost his composure and was disqualified in a brawl outside the ring.
Falls Count Anywhere Match Mayhem over Predator Time: 5:39 In Predator’s return to the USWF after being suspended for injuring Mayhem, Predator looked good for much of the match and had Mayhem badly hurt but then fell victim to two straight “Leap of Doom” finishers.
USWF Tag Team Title Match Upper Class (Varsity and Witherspoon) (c) over the Troubleshooters Time: 4:54 This contest was a good battle, but the champions held on for an impressive twenty-fifth successful title defense when Muss went down to the “Halo.”
USWF Heavyweight Title Match Colossus (c) over Venom Time: 6:04 Colossus has had a shaky year as champion, with an overall record still under .500, but on this day he was very impressive as he controlled most of the action and pinned the Aethran superstar with a “Robotic Deathblow.”
After the card, Lance At-Las spoke to reporters regarding his fortunate victory over Mace. “I was beaten tonight, no doubt about it,” Lance stated. “But self-control has always been a problem for Mace, and it cost him tonight. That’s the way it goes sometimes. Still, I don’t feel good about the way it ended, and yes, I will get back in the ring with Mace to settle this whenever he wants.”
CHUPACABRAS TAKES CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE FROM RUSH The young Aethran Rush, fighting in spite of an injury, was unable to weather the attack of Chupacabras and surrendered the cruiserweight championship at the Maelstrom Solarium on April 15.
Rush, who had been badly injured in a brawl with Scar, Wrath, and Lycanthrope several weeks earlier, had not yet officially defended the title he had won in late January. Finally Commissioner Grogan demanded that Rush defend the title or forfeit it. Although the Aethran high-flyer was still far from one hundred percent healed, he had no choice but to climb back into the ring.
The Aethran team did everything in its power to help Rush hold onto the title. Both P3 and Ravage interfered a various points, and the champion put in a valiant effort despite his injuries. In the end, however, Chupacabras proved too strong and rolled up the young Aethran for the pin.
Chupacabras claimed the cruiserweight belt for the fifth time in his career, the first three reigns having come under the name Toltecas before he entered the Transrevolver.
SUDDEN DEATH UPDATE Most of the USWF’s 2112 Sudden Death contests remain close, with only the Guardians achieving a substantial lead so far. Complete Sudden Death Standings are as follows:
The Star Defenders (Lance At-Las, Black Hawk, Pathfinder, Charon, Scorpio) lead Penthouse Suite (Colossus, The Dominator, Tarloc, Romulus, Taurine) 24-17.
The Gladiators of Aethra (Venom, Mayhem, Blitz, P3, Rush) lead Rebel Forces (Raven, Predator, Wrath, Lycanthrope, Scar) 23-18. (Note: two of the losing wrestlers will be banished in this contest.)
The King’s Court (Jack of Diamonds, Zed Marlowe, Zouave, Muss, the Bomb) lead Primary Colors (Maccavity, Doctor Payne, Lycosa, Varsity, Witherspoon) 31-23.
The Guardians (Kati, Angst, Holocaust, Saboteur, Shylock) lead the Agents of Fortune (Dagger Mack, Homicide, Reckless Abandon, Painmaster, Tocsin) 38-12.
Death Row (Stargazer, Chupacabras, Hurricane, Skyfire) leads Cassandra’s Army (Mace, Dynamo, Hammer, Powerhouse) 12-11.
The True Way (Talisman, Indigo, Bishop Hell, Death’s Head, Erebus) lead the Savage Kingdom (Halcón Oro, Gila, Talon, Wildcat, Karah) 27-25.

MACE TAKES INTERSTELLAR BELT FROM LANCE AT-LAS Former GWF star Mace won his first title since arriving in the USWF by defeating Lance At-Las for the Interstellar belt on June 12 at the Great Herds Stockyard of Bootes.
As he had at the Andromeda Explosion, the former member of W.A.R. came out strong and dominated most of the action. However, whereas Mace lost his temper and was disqualified at the supercard, this time he remained under control and continued his relentless beating of the champion. Lance appeared to have no defense and went down for good after Mace landed a Torpedo Clothesline around the three minute mark.
“Finally I got my hands on some gold again,” the new champion stated after the match. “After I suffered through those years with that loser Grunge as my partner, and then coming here and working up a singles career, it’s been a long haul. But I made it now. I got a belt, and I ain’t giving it up to nobody.”
Lance At-Las also spoke to the media after the card. “I have no personal problem with Mace,” Lance said. “It was a clean fight. He's just one of the strongest guys around, and I couldn’t find a way to neutralize his strength. I’m proud to have held the title, and I plan to go back after it again, but this is Mace’s day. Congratulations to him.”
HOMICIDE OUT AFTER BRAWL WITH GUARDIANS An ugly brawl between the Guardians and the Agents of Fortune at the Colonnade of the Southern Cross on June 18 left Homicide injured and most of the Guardians suspended.
The incident occurred after a match between Holocaust and Homicide. Holocaust took the victory over the USWF’s all-time leader in victories, and the two wrestlers continued to battle after the bell. Homicide’s teammate Reckless Abandon and Agents of Fortune bodyguard Marcel de Sade quickly joined the fray, as did Holocaust’s allies Angst, Brave, and Hardcore Champion Kati. When the ring was finally cleared, Homicide had suffered a concussion, three broken ribs, and a cracked bone in his leg.
Homicide, a five-time former USWF Heavyweight Champion and the first man ever to hold the federation’s top belt, was expected to be out of action for at least four months. Commissioner Grogan addressed the seriousness of the situation after the card.
“An incident like this just does not need to happen to anyone, much less an iconic figure like Homicide,” the commissioner stated. “I am therefore suspending Holocaust, Angst, and Brave for the next two months. Kati will also be suspended for the same period, and since he will be unable to defend the Hardcore Title, I am declaring the belt vacant. We will begin a tournament immediately to crown a new Hardcore Champion.”
Angst, Kati, and Holocaust were all expected to wrestle as guests in the GWF during their suspension. However, their absence may do more harm than good for the Agents of Fortune team, as the Agents trail the Guardians badly in their sudden death battle and will have no opportunity to make up ground during the suspensions.

INTERSTELLAR RUMBLE 2112 The Interstellar Rumble was created as a GWF supercard in 2095. In 2097 the event was discontinued, and rights to the card were later purchased by the USWF, which reinstated the Rumble as a year-ending card in 2101. In 2103 the Interstellar Rumble was moved from December to mid-year and was relocated from the Mimas Spectrum to the Rhea Forum of Saturn. In 2106 the USWF transferred the event to Earth’s huge Victory Garden.
The 2112 Rumble was held on July 7 before a crowd of 101, 221 fans. The main event was set to be a USWF Heavyweight Title contest between the champion Colossus and the top challenger Raven
INTERSTELLAR RUMBLE: THE CARD
Talon over Dynamo Time: 4:35 Talon made an impressive comeback after taking some early shots and hit Dynamo with a “Deadly Descent" for the win.
Stormfront (Skyfire and Hurricane) and the Stormtroopers fought to a double DQ Time: 2:12 After Skyfire hit the “Firestorm” on Powerhouse, a brawl erupted in which both teams were disqualified.
Wildcat over Grunge Time: 8:51 This was an outstanding back and forth match with numerous pin attempts on each side. Wildcat finally won it with a gut wrench windmill.
Zed Marlowe over Halcón Oro Time: 4:25 Marlowe pulled off the upset with a missile dropkick.
Blackout (Charon and Scorpio) and the Lower World fought to a double DQ Time: 3:34 Another brawl after a pin attempt on Death’s Head caused the second double disqualification of the evening.
Falls Count Anywhere Match Zouave over Stargazer Time: 2:26 Zouave won with a “Death Be Not Proud” on the arena floor.
Turnbuckle Shock Match The Dominator over Lance At-Las Time: 1:32 Lance continued his slump as the Dominator took control outside the ring and pinned him with a “Total Domination.”
Cruiserweight Title Match Chupacabras (c) over Rush Time: 9:08 This title match featured an amazing performance by Rush, who controlled most of the action for nearly ten minutes but could not quite put Chupacabras away and was finally surprised by the “Never Saw It Coming” finisher of the champion.
Espionage over the Watchmen Time: 7:52 Tocsin went down to the “Double Agent” in a tough match.
Lepus Stun Rod Match Jack of Diamonds over Lycosa Time: 2:45 Jack scored with a “Black Diamond” to take another win in his specialty match.
Ruins of Antilia Match Mayhem over Lycanthrope Time: 4:24 Fighting in the artificial environment at the Victory Garden, Mayhem controlled the action all the way and pinned Wolf’s son with a “Danger Zone.”
The Penthouse Punks over the Troubleshooters by DQ Time: 5:55 A tough, close match ended when The Bomb was disqualified outside the ring.
Castor Chain Match Black Hawk over Tarloc Time: 7:07 Black Hawk won a good match with his “Hawkwing.”
Interstellar Title Match Predator over Mace (c) by disqualification Time: 6:38 Predator put in a fine showing in this contest and seemed to have the belt won against his former W.A.R. teammate. Mace appeared to get himself disqualified intentionally to save the title.
Scorpi King of the Ring Match Wrath over Venom Time: 7:31 Wrath’s long-standing hatred for Aethrans is well-known, but in this match he took his rage to unprecedented lengths against the man considered by many to be the top wrestler in the federation. After taking an early advantage, Wrath hit his “Reprisal” finisher, which nearly knocked Venom out. He then followed up with his vicious ‘Gladiator Killer,” followed by another “Reprisal.” At this point Wrath clearly could have won the match, but instead he refused to throw his opponent out of the ring and continued the beating for another four minutes, alternating between his two devastating finishers on his helpless victim. Finally Rush ran to the ring and threw in a towel for Venom, causing the referee to stop the match. Venom was taken from the ring on a stretcher. The Aethran star was later found to have suffered a broken nose, a concussion, four lost teeth, and three cracked ribs as well as several other lesser injuries. He is expected to miss as much as two months of action.
(Note: Using King of the Ring rules [one token for each pin attempt and for each plus of the finisher rating], Venom’s PIN was at 26, with Wrath never having rolled an “out of the ring” to end it.)
USWF Tag Team Championship Match Upper Class (c) over Theater of Pain Time: 2:54 Varsity and Witherspoon continued their tremendous run as tag team champions as Witherspoon caught Comedy by surprise with a spear and rolled him up for a quick pin.
USWF Heavyweight Championship Match Raven over Colossus (c) Time: 3:25 The six-month title reign of Colossus finally came to an end as Raven connected with a “Bladerunner” to score the win. Raven became the USWF Heavyweight Champion for the fourth time in his career.
Despite Raven’s exciting title win over Colossus, most conversation after the card was directed toward Wrath’s brutal beating of Venom. Many observers called it the most violent and disturbing display seen in a USWF ring since Krakan’s men permanently crippled the young Aethran Ruin in 2106. However, Wrath offered no apologies.
“Everything I did was legal,” Wrath stated. “When you go into a match like that, you know the risk. And everybody knows what his people did to my people, to my family. I’d do it again in a heartbeat. He’d do the same to me if you gave him a chance. Don’t ask me to give an Aethran any sympathy.”
Wrath’s half-brother, Predator, was also asked about the incident. “Yeah, it may have been a little over the top,” Predator agreed. “But the Aethrans know what Wrath is capable of, and they know how much he hates them. And I think there is more to this. Wrath hates Aethrans, but he is also very loyal, and he hates anyone who betrays him. Remember, Venom came into this fed on our side, and he turned his back on us. I think Wrath has been waiting a long time for a chance to do this. I’m not saying I approve, but I do understand it.”
The Aethran team was, predictably, less understanding. “The commissioner says he can’t do anything because this was part of a legal match,” Mayhem stormed. “Okay then. We’ll take care of it ourselves. That big goon better watch his back. There’s gonna be a price to pay for what he did tonight.”

WRATH CLAIMS VACANT HEADCORE TITLE Wrath completed his run through a sixteen man tournament to claim the vacant USWF Hardcore Championship when he defeated Scorpio in the tournament final at Colby Palace on August 8, 2112.
The title was vacated when the previous champion, Kati the Samoan Warrior, was suspended by Commissioner Grogan for his role in an attack that put Homicide out of action for three months. The commissioner stripped Kati of the belt and set up the tournament that took place over the course of a month.
The specific type of match for each contest in the tournament was determined randomly. The championship round turned out to be a Dog Collar Chain Match.
Scorpio started the match well, taking the fight to Wrath and putting the big man off his guard. He nearly had his opponent pinned with his “Darkness Falls” finisher, but Wrath managed to kick out at the last second. Moments later Scorpio missed a deathjump, and this break was all the half-Aethran powerhouse needed to turn the tide. Wrath quickly connected with his “Reprisal” finisher to claim the victory and the title.
Wrath has held the Hardcore Championship on one previous occasion, for a ten week stretch in 2109. However, most wrestling fans know that he had perhaps the most amazing championship run ever with the precursor of the Hardcore Belt, the USWF’s Heavy Metal Cage Title, which Wrath held from December 2100 to December 2106 with only a three week interruption in mid 2104 when he lost the title to Big Daddy Steel but quickly regained it.
HALCON ORO REGAINS CRUISERWEIGHT STRAP Halcón Oro became the USWF Cruiserweight Champion for the third time by defeating Chupacabras at the Aethra War Dome on August 20.
The title contest was an excellent fight, with both wrestlers landing a number of strong moves. Oro took a good deal of punishment but would not stay down for the champion. Chupacabras was warned during the match by his manager Silver Ace that Oro’s agility made high risk moves very dangerous in this contest, but Chupa refused to heed the advice. The end came when the champion missed a deathjump and was rolled up for the pin.
Chupacabras’ title reign lasted for four months and seven title defenses.
SUDDEN DEATH UPDATE Penthouse Suite and the Star Defenders remain virtually even in their 2112 Sudden Death battle, with the Defenders currently holding a slim two point lead. The second marquee matchup also remains close as the Rebel Forces hold just a four point lead over the Gladiators of Aethra. In contrast, the King’s Court has pulled away from Primary Colors and opened up a huge lead, while the Guardians remain well ahead of the Agents of Fortune.
Complete Sudden Death Standings are as follows:
The Star Defenders (Lance At-Las, Black Hawk, Pathfinder, Charon, Scorpio) lead Penthouse Suite (Colossus, The Dominator, Tarloc, Romulus, Taurine) 45-43.
Rebel Forces (Raven, Predator, Wrath, Lycanthrope, Scar) lead The Gladiators of Aethra (Venom, Mayhem, Blitz, Ravage, Rush) 44-40. (Note: two of the losing wrestlers will be banished in this contest.)
The King’s Court (Jack of Diamonds, Zed Marlowe, Zouave, Muss, the Bomb) lead Primary Colors (Maccavity, Doctor Payne, Lycosa, Varsity, Witherspoon) 63-38.
The Guardians (Kati, Angst, Holocaust, Saboteur, Shylock) lead the Agents of Fortune (Dagger Mack, Homicide, Reckless Abandon, Painmaster, Tocsin) 52-20.
Death Row (Stargazer, Chupacabras, Hurricane, Skyfire) leads Cassandra’s Army (Mace, Dynamo, Hammer, Powerhouse) 28-23.
The True Way (Talisman, Indigo, Bishop Hell, Death’s Head, Erebus) lead the Savage Kingdom (Halcón Oro, Gila, Talon, Wildcat, Karah) 43-35.
CENTAURUS COLLISION PREVIEW Expected matches for the upcoming Centaurus Collision Supercard on September 7, 2112 include the following:
Raven defends the USWF Heavyweight Championship against Colossus Varsity and Witherspoon defend the USWF Tag Team Titles against Espionage Mace defends the Interstellar Title against Mayhem Zouave vs. Doctor Payne in a hardcore match to be determined The Troubleshooters vs. Theater of Pain Lance At-Las vs. The Dominator
Chupacabras has requested a rematch with Halcón Oro for the Cruiserweight Title. Commissioner Grogan has not yet responded to the request.

PREDATOR INJURED IN REVENGE ATTACK Predator suffered injuries that will put him out of action for three weeks in a brawl with the Gladiators of Aethra at the River’s End Spectrum of Eridanus on August 31. The attack appeared to be a response to Wrath’s violent beating and injury of Venom at the Interstellar Rumble Supercard in July.
Predator’s opponent on the card was Venom, who had returned from the injuries he suffered at the hands of Predator’s half-brother just a week earlier. Against his Aethran opponent, Predator was disqualified in a melee outside the ring. The two competitors continued to brawl, and soon Venom’s teammates Mayhem and Blitz arrived on the scene. Together the Aethrans pounded Predator until Wrath, Raven, and Lycnathrope arrived to break up the attack. Predator suffered severely bruised ribs, a sprained elbow, and several other minor injuries.
“We said they’d pay,” Mayhem gloated after the incident. “Wrath thought he could get away with hammering Venom like he did in that King of the Ring Match? Not hardly. We’re Aethrans. Mess with us and you suffer. Now Predator’s suffering. Wrath’s gonna be next.”
Wrath also commented on the incident. “You notice it was three on one,” he snapped. “Those Aethran scum couldn’t handle Predator one on one. But we’ll take care of this. We’re already at war with them. Now we just take it up a few notches.”
Finally, USWF Commissioner Grogan give his ruling on the attack. “Predator is likely to miss nearly a month of action,” the commissioner said. “This was a violent and unnecessary gang attack, and I do plan to suspend the Gladiators for it. However, we have our Centaurus Collision Supercard coming up in just a week, and at the request of Wrath and the Rebel Forces I am going to wait until after the supercard to start the suspensions.
“Therefore, at the Centaurus Collision, Wrath will be fighting Venom in a Torture Chamber Match. Mayhem was scheduled to challenge Mace for the Interstellar title, but I am taking away that title shot. Mayhem will instead battle Lycanthrope in a Flamsteed Street Fight. Finally, Blitz will face his former tag team partner Scar in a Four Weapons of Destruction Match. We’ll let these teams have a chance to get some satisfaction in the ring before the suspensions for Mayhem, Blitz, and Venom begin.”
CENTAURUS COLLISION 2112 The Centaurus Collision was created in 2104 as a GWF supercard, The USWF purchased the rights to the Collision in 2106, and the event is held annually at the Alpha Centauri Colonnade. The 2112 supercard was held on September 7 before a crowd of over 32,000 fans.
Centaurus Collision Results:
Holocaust over Dynamo Time: 2:24 Holocaust won the opening match with a “Shock Wave.”
Indigo over Talon Time: 5:35 This was an excellent cruiserweight match between two wrestlers whose rivalry is growing steadily. Talon had control early, but Indigo came back to win it with a “Colors of the Rainbow.”
In an interview between matches, Mace complained about his upcoming Interstellar title defense against Jack of Diamonds. “I was supposed to be fighting Mayhem,” the former W.A.R. member growled. “I didn’t prepare for Jack. Then the commissioner takes away Mayhem’s shot, and two days ago they tell me who I’m fighting. This just ain’t right. I’ll squash Jack anyway, but I don’t think any of this is fair.”
Falls Count Anywhere Match Talisman over Gila Time: 1:34 Talisman won with a vertical suplex in this contest that never had a chance to leave the ring.
Tirion Triple Threat Cruiserweight Match Zed Marlowe over Chupacabras in a match that also included Rush Time: 6:25 In a good back and forth match, Marlowe got the win with a “Duck and Cover.”
The Stormtroopers over the Lower World Time: 4:28 This matchup of veteran tag teams ended when Death’s Head fell to a “Stormtrooper Blitz.”
Mensa Table Match Angst over Reckless Abandon Time: 4:41 Angst completely dominated this contest, winning with an “Ante Mortem.”
Barber Wire Cage Match Stargazer over Pathfinder Time: 4:52 Stargazer came back from early trouble to win with a “Blind Fury.”
Before the first of the three special challenge matches between the Rebel Forces and the Gladiators of Aethra that resulted from the Aethrans’ attack and injury of Predator, Rebel Forces manager Incredible Badger spoke about the situation. “They had no reason to attack Predator as they did,” Badger said. “They were angry about Wrath injuring Venom, but that happened within a match, not as a gang attack. So tonight we’re going to teach them that when the sides are even, they just don’t match up to us.”
Four Weapons of Destruction Match Scar over Blitz Time: 5:25 In the first of the three special challenge matches, Scar stunned his former tag team partner by hammering the giant Aethran into submission.
Theater of Pain over the Watchmen with Bounty Hunter as referee Time: 5:29 With USWF Head Referee Bounty Hunter controlling the ring, Theater of Pain put Painmaster down with a “Shakespeare.”
Cruiserweight Championship Match Halcón Oro (c) over Maccavity Time: 5:57 This was an outstanding contest, as Oro battled back from near defeat several times against the three time former champion. Maccavity was unable to take advantage of two missed suicide dives by Oro and finally went down to the “Ave de Rapina.”
Lepus Stun Rod Match Lycosa over Zouave Time: 5:50 This matchup of one time Masked Assassin teammates and bitter rivals ended when Lycosa landed a “black Widow’s Bite.”
Between matches, Mayhem commented on Blitz’s loss to Scar. “That punk got lucky,” the Aethran wildman claimed. “Lycanthrope won’t. I’ll crush him, and then Venom will settle things with Wrath once and for all.”
Castor Chain Match Ravage over Black Hawk Time: 4:20 Ravage, who came out of retirement in 2111 and spent most of this year as the Gladiators’ bodyguard, continued his amazing resurgence, winning for the seventh time in nine tries as he hit Black Hawk with a “Retribution.”
Interstellar Title Match Jack of Diamonds over Mace (c) Time: 3:33 Jack of Diamonds won the first singles title of his long career by knocking out Mace with a “Jacked Up.”
Titan Hardcore Tag Team Match Blackout (Charon and Scorpio) over the Penthouse Punks Time: 6:37 The Punks have had a very good year, while Blackout has struggled badly, but on this day Charon and Scorpio were able to take down their arch-rivals as Scorpio pinned a battered Romulus with a deathjump.
Hydra Lumberjack Match Lance At-Las and The Dominator fought to no contest Time: 1:54 Lance brought Black Hawk, Pathfinder, Charon, and Scorpio to the ring with him, while The Dominator hired the Watchmen to join with the Penthouse Punks on his side. The match lasted for less than two minutes before the lumberjacks started a battle so out of control that the referee threw the contest out.
Flamsteed Street Fight Mayhem over Lycanthrope Time: 4:45 In the second special challenge between the Rebel Forces and the Aethrans, Lycanthrope started well, but three minutes in Mayhem simply overwhelmed him and finally knocked him out on the arena floor with a wrench he pulled from under the ring.
Between matches, Venom was interviewed regarding his upcoming Torture Chamber Match with Wrath. “Everybody says Wrath’s unbeatable in a cage,” he said. “Ain’t nobody unbeatable. When he held the Heavy Metal Title for so long, I wasn’t here. Now I am. This is the match I wanted. After what he did to me at the Interstellar Rumble, I’m gonna to put him out for good tonight.”
Tag Team Championship Match Upper Class (Varsity and Witherspoon) (c) over Espionage Time: 4:24 Upper Class extended their incredible title reign as Witherspoon hit Saboteur with his “Upper Crust” finisher. The champions have now held the tag belts for over a year, having won them at the 2111 Centaurus Collision.
Torture Chamber Match Wrath over Venom Time: 6:36 In the third and final special challenge match, Wrath was dominant over the Gladiator star, once again proving that he has no equal in a cage.
USWF Heavyweight Championship Match Raven (c) over Colossus Time: 4:06 Raven had little trouble fending off the challenge of the former champion, following up a “Bladerunner” with a leg drop to score the win.
