RAVEN TAKES USWF BELT FROM MAYHEM FORMER CHAMPION HAS A SURPRISE VISITOR
In December 2113, USWF Heavyweight Champion Mayhem attacked and injured Raven in the locker room area at the Dione Saturndome after Raven had defeated him in a non-title match. USWF Commissioner Grogan suspended Mayhem for the first six weeks of 2114 because of the incident. Raven, who has yet to lose a match in 2114, made very clear on numerous occasions that he wanted a title match with the Aethran star as soon as Mayhem was reinstated. On February 20, Raven finally had his wish granted and got his opportunity for revenge. Mayhem made his return to the USWF ring on a card at the Gemenid Grand Grotto, and Grogan ordered a title match between the champion and the former W.A.R. star in the main event. The title contest was as violent and intense as one would expect from the two long-tme enemies with a championship on the line. Through nearly twenty minutes, the combatants threw everything they had at each other, both risking disqualification numerous times to inflict more damage. Mayhem had his challenger down and stunned at one point but missed his "Leap of Doom" finisher, and the match continued until both men were bloody and spent. Finally, after one of many melees on the arena floor, Raven connected with a crucifix power bomb and pinned the champion to claim the USWF Heavyweight belt for the fifth time. As Raven left the ring, Mayhem called for a microphone. "You'll regret this, Raven!" the Aethran shouted. "We're not done. I'll destroy you next time. You better be watching your back. I laid you out before, and I can do it again." "You'll do nothing to anyone. You're through," came an unexpected answer from the backstage area. As the fans screamed, Aethran Minister of War Spike stepped out to the top of the ramp. "You lost your belt, and that title was the last thing that justified letting you keep wrestling. Now you're coming back to Aethra to answer for your crimes." "What crimes?" Mayhem spat. "You got nothing to accuse me of." "Oh, I have plenty," Spike responded. "We have evidence that ties you to Vengeance and his murder of Massacre. The high command wants to talk to you. Now, we're leaving. I am ordering you to come with me." With a howl, Mayhem dove out of the ring and into the crowd, running toward the nearest exit. Spike simply smiled. "He won't get far," he said. "I didn't expect him to go willingly. The building is surrounded. Commissioner Grogan, you can take this as Mayhem's resignation. He won't be coming back to your federation . . . or any other." ANOTHER ENEMY FOR DEATH KNIGHT II Since his arrival at the side of his manager Death Knight in late 2113, Death Knight II has been focused on tormenting Exo-King and Jack of Diamonds. However, he has recently engaged in a pair of outstanding matches with Lance At-Las. Each competitor has won one match, and both have expressed their intention of continuing their newfound rivalry. "I'm not in this to defend Exo-King," Lance explained. "I don't agree with a lot of the things he's done. But I do consider Jack of Diamonds to be a friend, and I never had much use for Death Knight. I've enjoyed pounding on the new Death Knight, and I don't think we've settled anything yet in the matches we've had so far. So I'm ready any time he wants to go at it again" "Lance At-las means nothing to us," Death Knight stated on behalf of his protégé. "We are focused on Exo-King. But if At-las wants to fight, we are very willing. He's another of the group that I owe payback to from the old GWF days. We will crush him just as we will crush the King and his men. Death Knight II is unstoppable, and we will run all of them out of this federation." OTHER USWF NOTES The newly formed tag team of Dark Justice and Splatter started the year very well, winning their first three matches before Splatter was injured and put on the shelf by the Mace and the Pekhota. The lunatic is expected to miss as much as two months of action. In his absence, Dark Justice has turned his attention to singles matches and has also indicated a change in his image. "No more Dark Justice," the long-time superstar stated. "The 'dark' part was Krakan's idea, and I've held on to it too long. From now on, just call me Justice again, like when I started. I'm not the same person I was back then, but I'm not the guy who worked for Krakan either. I'm at a strange point in my career. I never thought I'd be teaming with Splatter again, but no one seems to want either of us, so we're better off together. And I have no problem teaming up with Raven again after so many years. So the three of us are just going to do our own thing and watch each other's backs, and we'll let things happen however they play out." (Note: Instead of the last Dark Justice card, I am now using an updated version of Justice created by Christian Keller, Roger Pratcher Jr., and Jim Karantonis as part of their bootleg tag team "American Justice.")USWF Tag Team Champions Blackout (Charon and Scorpio) suffered a blow when Scorpio was injured in a brawl after a successful defense against the Troubleshooters. The Troubleshooters and Holocaust were suspended for the incident, but Scorpio was expected to miss at least two months of action. Rather than vacating the titles, Commissioner Grogan agreed that Blackout's Star Defender teammate Lance At-Las could substitute and team with Charon to defend the titles. Newcomer Thayne has won five of his first six matches, with the lone loss coming to his arch-rival Dar Gova in their first one-on-one match.

COUNTDOWN TO UNIVERSAL BATTLEGROUND As the month of March 2114 ended, the United Stars Wrestling Federation began preparations for its annual Universal Battleground event, the first regular supercard of each USWF year, on April 8 at the Shrine of the Flaming Star of Aurigae. Most of the wrestlers on the roster were in good health and ready to compete, with the notable exceptions of Splatter and USWF tag team champion Scorpio. UNIVERSAL BATTLEGROUND PREVIEW MAIN EVENT: USWF Heavyweight Champion Raven defends against Chupacabras.Raven has been outstanding in 2114 so far but recently lost a non-title match to the cruiserweight champion Chupacabras, who will now challenge for a bigger prize. USWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: Champions Charon and Lance At-Las vs. The Ninja AssassinsDue to Scorpio's injury at the hands of the Troubleshooters and Holocaust, USWF Commissioner Grogan has agreed that Lance At-Las can substitute as a partner for Charon until Scorpio can return. Lance and Charon have been successful in their first two defenses but must now face the dangerous masked duo the Ninja Assassins. INTERSTELLAR CHAMPIONSHIP: Champion Colossus defends against Aethran Powerhouse BlitzColossus is having an excellent year but must defend against the big Aethran, who has won seven straight matches since earning his interstellar title shot through a dominant performance in the battle royal at the Star Challenge. HARDCORE CAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Champion Mace vs. Dar Gova in a Barbed Wire Cage MatchMace, recently returned from a long suspension for his part in injuring Splatter, must face the big rookie Dar Gova, who has been especially impressive in hardcore-type matches. TITAN HARDCORE MATCH: Painmaster vs. the DominatorPainmaster missed more than two months of action due to injuries inflicted on him on the opening card of the year by the Dominator and the Penthouse Punks and thus has fought only two matches in 2114. He has challenged the Dominator to a Titan Hardcore Match in order to get revenge. BATTLEZONE MATCH: The King's Court vs. the Black KnightsExo-King and Death Knight continue their violent feud through their teams as Jack of Diamonds, Zed Marlowe, and the Protectorate will face Death Knight II, Stigma, and Theater of Pain in a multi-wrestler match usually reserved for the GWF's War Games. MULTIPLE TITLE CHANGES AT UNIVERSAL BATTLEGROUND The United Stars Wrestling Federation held its third annual Universal Battleground supercard at the Shrine of the Flaming Star of Aurigae on April 8, 2114. In the main event, USWF Heavyweight Champion Raven was scheduled to defend his belt against Chupacabras. Charon and Lance At-Las, who was substituting or Charon's injured partner Scorpio, signed to defend the USWF Tag Team Titles against the Ninja Assassins. In addition, Interstellar Champion Colossus was set to take on the Aethran powerhouse Blitz, and Hardcore Champion Mace was to face the rookie Dar Gova in a Barbed Wire Cage Match.
Results of the card were as follows:
Gordo defeated Indigo The big man won it with a low blow.
Dagger Mack defeated Crow Crow's bad year continued as Krakan's long-time USWF associate won with an elbow to the throat
Angst and Talisman fought to a double disqualification. Talisman began the match by antagonizing Angst with a series of slaps and hair pulls. Angst then took over and controlled most of the contest, but eventually both wrestlers were disqualified in a brawl on the arena floor.
The Hunters of Prey defeated the Masked Marvels Karah pinned Lycosa after a deathjump.
Thayne defeated Brainstorm The rookie won the match with a "Noble Cause."
Between matches, Talisman commented on his match with Angst. "Ooh, he's a very big guy, but he has problems," the wide-eyed leader of the True Way said. "A lot of anger. I don't think I like him. He lost control in there. I think my men and I need to teach him a lesson in control. We're not done. No, not at all. I will be seeing him again."
Castor Chain Match: Blizzard defeated Mourn The frozen one handled Mourn easily, winning with a "Frostbite."
Gila defeated Wildcat Wildcat had control early, but Gila came back to win with a "Gut Check."
Espionage defeated the Pekhota In a tough battle, Molotok finally went down to "Double Agent."
Cosmic Cage Match: Homicide defeated Justice Homicide and Justice may not be the dominant stars they were in the early days of the USWF, but they proved they can still put on a great fight. This tough back-and-forth match was finally won by Homicide with a "Manic Mauler."
Between matches, Terak commented on his team's performance. "Something has to change," he said. "Lycosa and Oro lose to the weak Hunters of Prey, and they don't even seem to care because they both want singles matches. Wildcat loses to Gila for what seems like the tenth time. It's embarrassing. But we still will have our moment tonight when Chupacabras takes the heavyweight belt from Raven. Chupa will set the example for the way we should perform, and then everything will start to look better for us."
Barbed Wire Cage Match for the Hardcore Title: Champion Mace vs. Dar Gova The big rookie was once again dominant in taking the hardcore belt from Mace. He repeatedly reversed Mace's attempts to slam him into the barbed wire and was in control for most of the match before winning it with the "Inquisition." The victory gave Dar Gova his first title in the USWF.
The Lower World defeated the Troubleshooters by disqualification The Troubleshooters were disqualified while trying to make a save after the Lower World had hit the "One Foot in the Grave" on the Bomb and seemed to have the match won.
Puma defeated Holocaust After a slow start, Puma took over and hammered Holocaust for seven minutes before scoring with the "Sideswipe."
The Penthouse Punks defeated Upper Class (Varsity and Witherspoon) The Punks won it when Varsity went down to a "Propulsion Piledriver."
Between matches, Dar Gova commented on his victory. "I am happy to be a champion," he said. "I will defend the belt well. But this is not what matters. My mission is still to take down Thayne. Tell him I will fight him for this belt whenever he wants. Or for anything else. Get him in the ring with me and I will destroy him."
Interstellar Title Match: Champion Colossus vs. Blitz This match was over almost before it began. Blitz took less than two minutes to blast Colossus with a spinebuster and pin him to win the title. The big Aethran is a former hardcore champion and an eight time USWF tag team champion but won the interstellar belt for the first time.
Pathfinder defeated Paragon by disqualification The USWF's all-time leader in victories hammered Paragon all over the ring for four minutes and seemed to have the match won easily when Varsity and Witherspoon interfered on behalf of their teammate to cause the disqualification.
Battlezone Match: The Black Knights defeated the King's Court The feud between Death Knight and Exo-King continued as the Black Knights won handily in the Battlezone Match. Stigma put on a terrific performance, eliminating three members of the Court before Death Knight II or Comedy could enter the match. Order of elimination was as follows: Tragedy over Zed Marlowe, Jack of Diamonds over Tragedy, Stigma over Jack of Diamonds, Sentinel, and Zouave. After the final bell, Death Knight II and Comedy entered to help Stigma assault Zouave, but Zouave's teammates ran back to the ring to save him before serious damage could be done. Titan Hardcore Match: The Dominator defeated Painmaster Painmaster demanded this match because he wanted revenge for the injury he suffered at the hands of the Dominator and the Penthouse Punks on the first card of the year, but he was unable to get the satisfaction he wanted as the Dominator pinned him after a "Painful Domination."
USWF Tag Team Championship: Champions Charon and Lance At-Las vs. the Ninja Assassins With Lance substituting for the injured Scorpio, the champions' luck finally ran out as the Ninjas beat down Charon and Hydrax pinned him with a "Death Point Strike" to win the belts. The Ninja Assassins thus became USWF Tag Team Champions for the second time, the first having come as the Demons of Hydra in 2103.
Before the main event, Exo-King spoke regarding his team's loss. "This is one night," he said. "Things didn't go well. Jack wasn't focused. He never should have lost to Stigma. But we'll get them. I'll never rest until Death Knight is forced back into the oblivion he came from."
USWF Heavyweight Championship: Raven vs. Chupacabras Two weeks earlier Raven had lost a non-title match to Chupacabras, but on this night the champion was in total control. An early distraction by Terak gave Chupacabras a near fall, but Raven kicked out, and from that point it was all his night until he pinned the battered challenger with a "Vulture Dive."
After the card, a disappointed Charon spoke to the media. "I want to thank Lance At-Las for stepping in to team with me," he said. "We gave it all we had, and I'm the one who got pinned tonight, so this is on me. I hate losing, but it's ok. Scorpio will be back in a few more weeks, and then the Ninjas had better be ready, because we'll be coming back after them."
Death Knight also responded to Exo-King's comments. "We dominated tonight," he stated. "And the King wants to blame his own son's lack of focus? Typical. Face it, King: the failure is yours. You lost tonight, and you will continue to lose until we have destroyed all that matters to you. But I will make an offer to Jack of Diamonds now. Jack, my problem is not with you. Your father obviously doesn't appreciate you. Join me, and I will take you to the top of this federation again, where you should be."
Note: Chupacabras, Charon, Scorpio, and Blitz are my own bootlegs. Death Knight II is the creation of Pete Beck. Dagger Mack is the creation of Andrew Karas. Homicide was originally a creation of Steve Minskoff, though the current card is my update. I am using the Jaime Wilson tribute card for Crow and the "American Justice" card for Justice.

BLITZ BREAKS THROUGH AT ANDROMEDA EXPLOSION The USWF's eleventh annual Andromeda Explosion supercard took place on May 15, 2114 at the Andromeda Nebula Pavilion. As usual, the card was held before a sellout crowd of over 47, 000 fans. On the afternoon of the supercard, Jack of Diamonds called a press conference in the Andromeda Nebula Pavilion Media Center. "We all know that the rosters for this year's War Games will be announced tomorrow," Jack stated. "I have had a very difficult decision to make, and I want to announce it before everyone is surprised when the rosters are revealed. My father and I have not been seeing eye-to-eye lately on a lot of things. Death Knight's return has brought a lot of history to light and stirred up a lot of bad feelings. You all know Raven walked away from us last year. At this point, I think it's time for me, too, to walk away. I have no wish to oppose my father, and I will continue to fight Death Knight II. But I'll do so on my own. I do not plan to be a member of the King's Court for the War Games." Exo-King walked angrily out onto the stage. "What is this? What are you thinking?" he demanded. "I told you," Jack responded calmly. "I'm stepping away for a while. You have things to do, and I don't agree with the way you're doing them. So I'm going my own way." "I didn't think you were serious. I need you for the War Games. This is ridiculous. Get your head together!" Jack shook his head sadly. "I'm sorry you don't agree, dad. But my head is together. Good luck with the War Games, and I mean that. But I will not be a part of it." With that, Jack of Diamonds walked off the stage, leaving a frustrated and angry Exo-King behind him. The Andromeda Explosion took place a few hours later. Full results of the card were as follows: Gordo defeated Dynamo by countoutBrainstorm defeated LycosaBrainstorm got the win with a "Brainstormer" after Lycosa missed a deathjump. Halcón Oro defeated IndigoThe masked man won with an "Ave de Rapina." The Pekhota defeated the Hunters of PreyMolotok put away Talon with a "Bayonet." Wildcat defeated BlizzardIn a tough contest, Wildcat got the victory with a moonsault. Cosmic Cage Match: Dagger Mack defeated TalismanNo one was certain as to why Talisman challenged Dagger Mack to a cage match, but he was made to regret doing so when Krakan's longtime USWF henchman dominated him and knocked him out with a foreign object. Witherspoon defeated Zed Marlowe by disqualificationMarlowe was disqualified when he used a chair to blast Witherspoon on the arena floor. After the bell, Marlowe and Exo-King spent several minutes beating down Witherspoon before the victim's teammates Paragon and Painmaster arrived to drive them away. The Protectorate defeated Splatter and JusticeSentinel put away Justice with a "Drawbridge." After the bell, the Protectorate and Exo-King attempted to do further damage to Justice, but Splatter was able to reach Arsenal and clear the ring. Scorpi King of the Ring Match: Angst defeated PainmasterAngst won a convincing victory by dominating and injuring the former colonizer. Between matches, Exo-King was asked to explain his team's attacks on Witherspoon and Justice. "I do not explain myself to anyone," the King growled. "Witherspoon was just in the way, and Zed needs to get more aggressive. As to Justice and Splatter, after all of my history with them, do I need a reason to beat them down? Especially Splatter? We will take out who we want, when we want, and I don't care who likes it and who doesn't. If you were surprised by this, just wait; there's more coming soon." Dog Collar Chain Match or the Hardcore Belt: Dar Gova (c) vs. MournMourn captured the hardcore championship for the second time, topping the big rookie in devastating fashion in a brutal beating. The Dominator defeated ThayneThe Aran star got a quick win with a "Painful Domination." Tag Team Falls Count Anywhere Match: Theater of Pain defeated EspionageIn the latest installment in a growing rivalry between these two teams, Tragedy took down Saboteur in the ring with a "Tear Jerker." Cruiserweight Championship: Chupacabras (c) vs. StigmaChupacabras had previously lost to the rookie in a non-title match and swore it would not happen again, but Stigma controlled most of the twelve minute match and finally claimed the victory with a "Stigmata" to win the cruiserweight belt for the first time in his career. Four Weapons of Destruction Match: Crow defeated HomicideThis match was a brutal and exciting contest between two long-time USWF stars until Crow finally put his opponent away. Both wrestlers were injured, and Homicide had to be helped from the ring, but, surprisingly, Exo-King came to the ring and helped Dagger Mack assist Homicide in making his way to the locker room. Between matches, Shylock promised that the feud between Espionage and Theater of Pain was not over. "We don't like those two," he muttered angrily. "They got lucky tonight. We're not done with them. They're clowns, and we're going to put an end to them soon." Circinus Cell Match: Colossus defeated MaceThe Cyborg pounded Mace all over the cell and also got help from some outside interference from the Dominator before winning with a spinwheel kick. Six Man Tag Team Match: Pathfinder, Charon, and Scorpio defeated Holocaust and the TroubleshootersThe Star Defender team wanted revenge because the Troubleshooters and Holocaust had injured Scorpio in February and put him out of action for months. This match was Scorpio's first after returning from that layoff, and his team got the win when Charon pinned Muss with an Acheron Assault. The two teams continued to brawl after he final bell, but no serious injuries were suffered this time. Lepus Stun Rod Match: Paragon defeated PumaPuma put up a good fight in a tough back-and-forth contest, but in the end Paragon won with a "Final Overture." Titan Hardcore Match: Death Knight II defeated Jack of DiamondsIn a brutal fight that ranged all over the arena, DK II scored the pin with a "Cosmic Lance," making his record against Jack a stunning 4-0. Exo-King watched the match from the top of the entrance ramp but made no effort to become involved on his son's behalf. Tag Team Championship Match: The Ninja Assassins (c) vs. the Lower WorldThe Brymstone team came into this match with five straight wins, but they were disqualified when Death's Head went down to a "Double Edged Sword" and Erebus attacked the referee to stop the pin. USWF Heavyweight Championship Match: Raven (c) vs. BlitzThis contest went back and forth several times over eight minutes before the champion connected with a "Bladerunner" but was not able to get the pin. Raven then went for and missed a deathjump. Blitz followed up with his his "Loose Cannon" finisher, a flying body splash from the second turnbuckle, but Raven was able to kick out. However, when the huge Aethran immediately landed the "Loose Cannon" again, Raven was unable to escape and the title changed hands. Blitz, an eight time USWF tag team champion and member of the most successful tag team in the federation's history, thus won the USWF Heavyweight Belt for the first time. Raven's title reign ended after three months and seven successful defenses. After the card, Raven addressed his loss. "I hate being beat by any Aethran, and Blitz and I have a lot of history. We used to be friends. But that's over, and he'd better enjoy that belt while he can, because I'm taking it back." Jack of Diamonds also spoke the the media again after the card. "I don't know what my father is thinking," he said sadly. "The attacks on Witherspoon and Justice are exactly why I walked away from his team. And I have no idea what he was doing with Homicide and Dagger Mack. Those two are psychos, and they work for Krakan. If that's who my father is planning to team up with for the War Games, then he's slipped even further than I thought."

USWF WAR GAMES ROSTERS ANNOUNCED USWF Commissioner Grogan called the media together for a press conference at the Andromeda Nebula Pavilion on the day after the Andromeda Explosion Supercard, May 16, to announce the team rosters for the 2114 USWF War Games. “Once again this year, our War Games will differ from the GWF's format,” Grogan began. “We will have six teams, each with three singles wrestlers, two tag teams, and up to three alternates to take over in the event of injuries and suspensions. Each War Games card will feature a head-to-head matchup of two teams in a series of five matches, two tag team contests and three singles. The team that wins at least three of these five matches will earn the victory for the evening. All teams will face each other team three times for a total of fifteen matchups each, and the team with the most victories in this schedule will be declared the War Games winner. "The Games will begin on May 22 at the Homam Superior Academy and end on November 29 back here on Andromeda. Each card between now and then, excluding supercards, will feature at least one head-to-head series of matches, often two, and in a few cases all six teams will be in War Games action on the same card. Roster changes will be allowed up until September 21. ”Now, I am happy to present the initial rosters of the six teams that will compete in the 2114War Games: "The first team is the King's Court, led, of course, by Exo-King. This team will feature the King's current group of Zed Marlowe and the tag team of Zouave and Sentinel. In addition, and much to my surprise, Exo-King has agreed to add to his team the members of Krakan's Agents of Fortune group: Dagger Mack, Homicide, and the Ninja Assassins. Finally, the King has also added the full roster of True Way to his team for the War Games, including Talisman, Indigo, and Blizzard. "Next we have the Star Defenders, managed primarily by the Unknown Soldier. The Star Defenders' roster since the beginning of this year has included Pathfinder, Lance At-Las, and the tag team of Charon and Scorpio. For the War Games, the Defenders have added the tag team Espionage, Angst, Gordo, and the rookie Thayne. Kati will continue as manager of Espionage and Angst. "Third, we have the Savage Kingdom. Gila's team begins with himself, Puma, and the Hunters of Prey. In addition, new members of the Kingdom for the War Games are the members of the group known as the Refugees: Raven, Crow, Splatter, and Justice. Finally, Halcón Oro has split from Terak and joined the Savage Kingdom for the Games. "Next up is Penthouse Suite, managed by Marikel the Magnificent. The standing Penthouse Suite roster includes Colossus, the Dominator, and the Penthouse Punks. For the War Games, Holocaust and the Troubleshooters, managed by Phantasy, have agreed to partner with Penthouse Suite, as have Wildcat, managed by Terak, and Brainstorm. "The fifth team is Primary Colors, managed by Silver Ace. His roster this year has included Paragon, Painmaster, and the tag team of Varsity and Witherspoon. For the War Games, Primary Colors will add the members of the Void, managed by Maleph: Mourn and the tag team of the Lower World. But Silver Ace has also added three more wrestlers for the Games. The first is Chupacabras, who like Wildcat is still managed by Terak. The second is Dr. Payne, who returns to the USWF after an absence of more than a year and who I am told will replace Varsity in a tag team with Witherspoon while Varsity is sidelined with his injury. And, finally, Primary Colors will add the new USWF Heavyweight Champion, Blitz. "Last, we have Death Knight's team, the Black Knights. His standing roster, of course, includes Death Knight II, Cruiserweight Champion Stigma, and Theater of Pain. For the War Games the Knights have added Mace and the tag team of the Pekhota, who are managed by Cassandra, as well as Lycosa and the rookie Dar Gova." "Again, the first card of the War Games will take place in six days at the Homam Superior Academy, when the King's Court will oppose Primary Colors and the Penthouse Suite will take on the Savage Kingdom. We look forward to seeing everyone there." Note: Pathfinder, Charon, Scorpio, Chupacabras, Blitz, Marikel, and Silver Ace are my own bootlegs. Dagger Mack is a creation of Andrew Karas. Homicide is a creation of Steve Minskoff. Crow is a creation of Jaime Wilson. Death Knight II is a creation of Pete Beck. The Unknown Soldier was originaly a creation of Paul Sougleris. Dr. Payne is from the first Promoter Madness GWFZ set.
