AMAZONIA, LEATHER AND LACE TAKE YEAR-END AWARDS
The GWWF held its annual year-end achievement awards banquet for 2112 on December 11. Commissioner Sandrisa Tralington presided over the event. In addition to all GWWF personnel, the banquet was attended by current and former GWF stars Wolf, Star Warrior, Omega, Lord Nexus, Paragon, Terminus, and Rising Sun. GWF Commissioner Morpheus and USWF Commissioner Grogan were also present.
The federation’s Wrestler of the Year award went to Amazonia, the current GWWF champion. Amazonia has held the title since April and ran up a 15-5 record for the year. The federation’s all-time victory leader also won the same award in 2103, 2107, and 2108. Runner-up was Supernova, who held the Intercosmos Title for six months despite having a record of only 13-10 for the year. Also receiving several votes was Rachael Killian, the powerful newcomer who joined the GWWF in July and compiled a terrific 10-2 record, including a ten match winning streak, and is the current Intercosmos Champion.
Reigning GWWF Tag Team Champions Leather and Lace took home the Tag Team of the Year honors. The sisters from the Pleiades had a 14-6 record and won the tag team belts twice during the year. They claimed the top tag team award for the fourth time, having also taken the honor in 2106, 2108, and 2109. Runners up were The Enchantresses (Anaxis and Cassandra), who held the tag team belts briefly and had a 10-7 record, and the Hellions, who also had a title reign during the year and recorded a 12-6 record.
After the award presentations were over, Commissioner Tralington made two announcements.
“First, I have been informed that two of our stars will be leaving us after this year,” the commissioner began. “Voodoo Queen and Dream Lover have both informed me that they will be retiring from the federation after tomorrow’s card. Voodoo Queen is a three time GWWF champion and a two-time former wrestler of the year, while Dream Lover is a former tag team champion. We wish them both the best in all of their future endeavors.
“Also, due to the suspensions I was forced to place on several of our wrestlers, I am bringing in two of the women we had signed for next year a bit early,” Tralington continued. “Their names are Viper Vixson and Carrie Storm. Both of them will be performing on tomorrow’s big card. I hope you will join me in welcoming them to the GWWF.”

Maxine Babe defeated Ms. Liberty
Time: 3:50
Ms. Liberty controlled this match from the opening bell until Paragon stood up in the audience and began to taunt her. While Liberty was distracted, Maxine hit her with a “Dude’s Choice” and rolled her up for the win.
Viper Vixson defeated Serpentine
Time: 6:58
Viper Vixson, a half-snake woman from Andromeda, made her GWWF debut as a fill-in for several suspended wrestlers and was very impressive, but Serpentine put up a surprisingly good fight. Vixson finally won it with a “Coiled Strike.”
Voodoo Queen and Dream Lover defeated Synergy
Time: 6:06
In their farewell match, the Voodoo Dreamers scored the win when Vision went down to Dream Lover’s “Sweet Dreams.”
After the match, Dream Lover spoke to an interviewer. “I’ve had a good run,” she said. I came here to fight Cassandra and my half-sister Amazonia, and I’ve fought them for years. I was angry when I came to the GWF. Now I’m just tired. I need to move on with my life. Thanks for all of the memories, but it’s time to go.”
Carrie Storm defeated Lorelai
Time: 5:36
As with Viper Vixson, this match was the debut of Carrie Storm, the daughter of Zachary Storm, a well-known wrestler who has competed in minor federations for many years and recently joined the new Deep Space Championship Wrestling. It was a good contest, but Storm controlled much of the action and won it with a “Storm Cutter.”
Lepus Stun Rod Match
Rose Caldarian defeated Supernova
Time: 1:18
In this match pitting Star Warrior’s sister against Bishop Hell’s granddaughter, Caldarian took advantage of the no disqualification rules and threw her “Burn Knuckle” fireball almost immediately to get the win.
Cosmic Cage Match
Thrash defeated Phantasy
Time: 4:17
In the final match of her worst year ever, Thrash put in one of her best performances of 2112, dominating the talented Phantasy in the cage before winning it with an overhead toss.
Between matches, Rose Caldarian commented on her win. “I don’t really have anything against Supernova,” she said. “Our families may have history, but I have no issues with her. My grandfather’s fights are his own problem. Besides, I have other things to worry about. I’ve been approached about taking on a new role here next year, and if I decide to do it, watch out. Everyone could be in for some surprises.” Caldarian would say no more about her plans for 2113.
Intercosmos Championship Match
Rachael Killian (c) defeated Sniper
Time: 0:31
Sniper had given Killian her only two losses in twelve matches since she entered the federation in mid-year, but on this night the blue-skinned powerhouse just overwhelmed her opponent to nail the win with a “Cold Justice” after just thirty seconds.
Titan Hardcore Match for the GWWF Tag Team Titles
Leather and Lace (c) defeated the Enchantresses
Time: 6:59
The most recent installment in this excellent rivalry was once again a great match. The sisters from the Pleiades finally took the win when Anaxis went down to the “Both Sides” finisher after a wild-brawling contest.
GWWF Championship Match
Hunger defeated Amazionia (c)
Time: 3:03
This contest was even until the referee was sandwiched between the two wrestlers and knocked out. Hunger took advantage of the situation and caught the champion with her illegal “Abdominal Hunger” finisher, weakening Amazonia enough to get the pin when the referee was revived. Hunger thus becomes the GWWF champion for the second time.
“This belt was stolen from me,” Hunger stated after the match. “I was the champion for well over a year, and since no one could beat me cleanly Amazonia cheated me out of the belt. But I have it back now, and it will stay with me for a long time again.”
