HELLIONS REGAIN TAG TITLES AT MIRANDA CENTER
The Galaxian Women's Wrestling Federation held its second independent card of 2115 on February 25 at the Miranda Center of Uranus. The double main event featured a tag team championship match between Arcana and the Hellions and a non-title Titan Hardcore Match between GWWF Champion Amazonia and arch-rival Thrash. Full results were as follows:
Xenia defeated Lorelei The powerful Xenia got her first win of the year, blasting Lorelei with an "X Marks the Spot."
Primus Invasion defeated the EnchantressesKrypta and Jakylln earned their second consecutive win when Krypta pinned Anaxis with a "Ravenous Suplex."
Between matches, Amazonia was asked about her upcoming Titan Hardcore Match with Thrash. "It'll be a battle," the champion said. "It always is with Thrash. People say I'm slowing down. Maybe I am. But I've never stopped giving it everything I have in the ring, and if Thrash thinks she can walk back in here and run over me, she's going to find out she's dead wrong."
Cosmic Cage Match: Rachael Killian defeated ShiawathaIn this battle of powerhouses, Shiawatha had an early advantage, but Killian came back to claim the win.
Eye Candy (Maxine Babe and Tech Candy) defeated Simply Perfect (Darla and Desyre)The newly formed tag team Simply Perfect fought well and had the advantage for most of this ten minute match, but Maxine caught Desyre with a "Dude's Choice" to claim the win.
Phantasy defeated VelarThis match was a tough battle between veteran competitors, but Phantasy ultimately caught her opponent in the "Sweet Suicide" to claim the victory.
Leather and Lace defeated Burning Venom (Rose Caldarian and Viper Vixson)The GWWF's all time winningest tag team pulled off a tough win over Burning Venom when Leather put away Viper Vixson with the "Bonds of Bliss."
After the match, Rose Caldarian spoke to an interviewer. "That's not the way things should have gone," she stated. "This has been a bad night, with me and Vixson losing and Velar dropping that match to Phantasy. I think we may need a little help to get ourselves back on track. And, fortunately, I know exactly who to call." Caldarian refused to provide any answers that would have clarified her statement, but most observers assumed that she was referring to the possibility of calling on her grandfather, the infamous Bishop Hell.
Intercosmos Championship Match: Shann-Ra (champion) vs. Carrie StormThis contest was a terrific battle as Storm fought to regain the belt she had lost to Shann-Ra in December 2114. After twelve minutes of back-and-forth action, both wrestlers were battered when Shann-Ra caught the challenger with a "Snap Snare" and pinned her to retain the title.
Synergy defeated S & S Domination (Sabre and Solstice)This match was surprisingly one-sided, as Synergy had control from the outset and Storm Child stopped Sabre with a "Cosmic Tarantula."
Scorpi Queen of the Ring Match: Blood Rose defeated Romy RahvinRahvin was after revenge for her injury at the hands of Blood Rose and S & S Domination in 2114, and she and Blood Rose put on a terrific show. Both competitors were covered with blood by the end of this brutal seventeen minute match, but Blood Rose was finally able to fend off Rahvin and claim the victory.
GWWF Tag Team Title Match: Arcana (Sniper and Taechon, champions) vs. the HellionsArcana had upset the Hellions to win the tag team titles at the end of 2114, but this time the Hellions were in total control. After six one-sided minutes, Serpentine pinned Sniper with a leg drop off the turnbuckle to give the tag belts to the Hellions for the seventh time in less than five years.
"That should prove to everyone that those two beating us was a fluke," Hunger crowed after the match. "No tag team in this federation is competition for us. We'll take on anyone, and we'll bury them all. Caldarian wants to talk about bringing in help? She better get a lot of it. Leather and Lace? How many times have we beaten them? Synergy? Weaklings. And those new freaks from Primus had better stay out of our way. We're back where we should be, on top, and this is where we're going to stay."
Non-Title Titan Hardcore Match: GWWF Champion Amazonia vs. ThrashOn the previous independent GWWF card, Amazonia lost to Thrash by disqualification. This time the rules required a clear ending, and Thrash took full advantage, hammering the champion all over the ring before pinning her with a "Femme Fatal."
"So the commissioner says I can't have a title match because I'm not ranked, because I was not here at the end of last year," Thrash snarled after the card. "Well, she'd better fix the rankings before I have to do permanent damage to Amazonia. I just proved again that I can crush her. I'd better get a title match soon, or something very bad is going to happen to someone."
