AMAZONIA AND SUPERNOVA BATTLE AT MIRANDA CENTER

The Galaxian Women's Wresting Federation presented its second independent card of 2114 at the Miranda Center of Uranus on February 26.  The main event was scheduled to be a non-tlte match between GWWF Champion Amazonia and Supernova. Shortly before the card began, GWWF Commissioner Sandrisa Tralington offered the following comments.

"I still have not heard anything from Nita Goldenclaw," the commissioner stated.  "At this point, I have to assume that she is simply gone from our federation for good. We still have a strong roster, but I think we are going to have some changes coming before too long.  We have some wrestlers who have been around for a long time, and while they are still talented performers, we are a little bit stagnant.  Adding Shann-Ra this year was a step in the right direction. I am talking to a few other possible newcomers who may join us before this year is over.  Whoever comes and whoever goes, we will continue putting out a great product."

Lorelei defeated Nora Pelf
Pelf put up a better fight than expected, but Lorelei finally put her away with a missile dropkick.

Shann-Ra defeated Xenia by disqualification
This contest was a very good back-and-forth match until Xenia was disqualified in a brawl on the arena floor.  Shann-Ra has now won her first three matches in the GWWF.

Arcana (Sniper and Taechon) defeated Synergy
Arcana dominated the match as Sniper put away Storm Child with a "Target Practice."

Blood Rose defeated Velar
The vampire earned her first win of the year with a quick win over Velar with "A Rose's Thorn."

Eye Candy (Tech Candy and Maxine) defeated the Enchantresses
The beauty queens pulled off their second straight upset win as Anaxis was disqualified for hitting Tech Candy with a chair.

Phantasy defeated Thrash
Phantasy put Thrash away with a "Sweet Suicide" to earn her third straight win.

Leather and Lace defeated the Alpha Females (Sabre and Romy Rahvin) 
The twin sisters from Pleiades took down their opponents when Leather topped Rahvin with the "Bonds of Bliss."

Titan Hardcore Match:  Intercosmos Champion Carrie Storm vs. Rachael Killian
In a non-title contest, Storm and Killian put on a wild and brutal exhibition for nearly twenty minutes. Killian was bleeding profusely when she finally finished off Storm with a "Gold Tear Suplex."

Burning Vision (Viper Vixson and Rose Caldarian) defeated GWWF Tag Team Champions The Hellions in a non-title match.
The challengers took down the champions in a tough contest as Rose Caldarian put away Serpentine with a "Caldarian Cutter."

Non-Title Match:  GWWF Champion Amazonia vs. Supernova
Amazonia came into this contest with a GWF-record fourteen match winning streak dating back into 2113, but Supernova put up a terrific battle.  The match went back and forth numerous times over more than fifteen minutes, with near falls on both sides, before Amazonia suffered her first loss of the year when she was disqualified for using the "Warrior's Shield."

After the card, several of the participants made comments to the media.

Commissioner Tralington:  "We had far too many disqualifications tonight. That's not how we want our matches to end.  I'm not sure of what the answer is, but we need to find one."

Sabre:  "Rahvin and I call ourselves the Alpha Females, but we lost again, like we do way too often.  I'm starting to feel like this tag team is a waste of my time.  I know I'm better than this."

Rachael Killian:  "Tonight was about beating Storm up.  Next time it will be about her title, and I'll take it from her."

Supernova:  "I've never had a problem with Amazonia.  We've been friends.  But I couldn't believe she hit me with her shield tonight.  I'm not whining; it was a tough match, and we both pulled out everything we had.  But I thought we were also doing it cleanly.  Now I want the title shot, and I'll know what to expect from her when we meet again."

DOUBLE TITLE CHANGE AT RED ICE ARENA

The Galaxian Women's Wrestling Federation held its third independent card of 2114 on March 15 at the Red Ice Arena of Mars before a crowd of over 25,000 fans.  The main event was set to be a Titan Hardcore Match between Amazonia and Supernova for the GWWF championship. GWWF Tag Team Champions the Hellions were also scheduled to defend their belts against Burning Venom (Viper Vixson and Rose Caldarian), while Intercosmos Champion Carrie Storm was to defend her title against Rachael Killian.

Card results were as follows:

Velar defeated Ms. Liberty
Ms. Liberty put up a good fight in her first match of the year but eventually went down to the "Hammerlock Slam."

Eye Candy (Tech Candy and Maxine Babe) defeated Synergy
In one of the most surprising continuing stories in the GWWF in 2114, the beauty queens remained undefeated by taking down Synergy when Tech Candy rolled up Storm Child coming off the ropes and pinned her for the win.

Shann-Ra defeated Lorelei
Newcomer Shann-Ra remained undefeated in the GWWF, winning her fourth straight match by taking down Lorelei with a "Machete" in a tough thirteen minute contest.  Lorelei has shown significant animosity toward the rookie, insulting her on several occasions, but she was unable to back up her comments in this match.

Arcana defeated the Enchantresses
Arcana claimed the victory when Anaxis was disqualified in a brawl outside the ring.

Blood Rose defeated Phantasy
Phantasy entered this match with a 4-0 record in 2114, but on this night she was dominated by Blood Rose, who got the win with a "Rose's Thorn" after just six minutes.

Leather and Lace defeated the Alpha Females (Sabre and Romy Rahvin)
The twin sisters from Pleiades won when Leather made Rahvin submit to an arm ripper.  Sabre and Rahvin quarreled several times during the match and both refused to tag out at certain points, with their manager Nora Pelf trying desperately to play peacemaker.  After the submission, Sabre stared at both her partner and her manager with disgust before walking away.

Intercosmos Championship Match:  Carrie Storm (champion) vs. Rachael Killian
In a matchup of Storm's agility vs. Killian's power, the muscular blue-skined alien scored a quick pinfall by blasting the champion with a "Gold Tear Suplex" to take the Intercosmos title in less than three minutes.  Killian thus regained the title she had lost to Storm in August of 2113.  Storm defended the belt successfully five times during her reign of over six months.

Cosmic Cage Match:  Thrash defeated Xenia
This matchup of powerful women lasted for more than twelve minutes but was dominated by Thrash throughout.  The Aethran finally put her opponent away with a "Femme Fatal."

GWWF Tag Team Title March:  The Hellions (champions) vs. Burning Venom
The challengers took an early psychological advantage when they were unexpectedly accompanied to the ring by Bishop Hell, the grandfather of Burning Venom member Rose Caldarian.  The Bishop is banned from appearing with his granddaughter at matches on GWF and USWF cards, but he can be present on independent GWWF cards and took advantage on this night.  The Hellions seemed taken aback by his presence, but they nevertheless put in a good effort for nearly ten minutes before Viper Vixson stunned Hunger with a "Coiled Strike" to claim the titles for her team.  The win gives both Vixson and Caldarian their first championships in the GWWF.

Titan Hardcore Match for the GWWF Championship:  Amazonia (champion) vs. Supernova
On the previous GWWF card, Supernova won by disqualification over Amazonia when the champion used her "Warrior's Shield" finisher.  An angry Supernova therefore requested that their rematch be fought under Titan Hardcore rules.  The contest was a wild affair, with much of the action taking place on the floor and both women hitting the other with Amazonia's shield at different points and a stun rod also coming into play.  The battle lasted for fifteen minutes before Amazonia knocked out the challenger with another "Warrior's Shield" to retain her title.  After the match, the two battered and weary women shook hands and then embraced in the ring.

GWWF Notes:
Although she was disappointed by her loss, Supernova seemed satisfied after the card.  "We both gave it all we had," Omega's daughter said.  "There's never been a problem between me and Amazonia.  I was angry last time, but I don't mind getting physical, and in this match it was all legal.  That doesn't mean I won't come after her belt again, but I have nothing to complain about tonight."

Surprise guest Bishop Hell expressed his pride in his granddaughter's performance. "I've said before that I might show up from time to time to help Rose out," he stated.  "Given the opportunity she and her partner had tonight, this seemed like the right time.  And you saw what happened.  Burning Venom has the belts now, and, yes, I may show up again to help make sure it stays that way."

GWWF Commissioner Sandrisa Tralington was less than enthused by the Bishop's presence.  "Hell didn't really get involved tonight, and Burning Venom won on their own, so there's not much I can do," the commissioner said. "I don't much like having him here, and, as I have told him before, he'd better watch his step. But as long as he stays a spectator, he has a right to be here.  He' just better not cross the line, or he'll find himself banned from yet another federation."

Sabre was once again vocal about her disappointment after the Alpha Females' loss.  "So now we've lost all four of our matches this year, and this time because Romy just gave up.  Pelf says to be patient, but something had better change soon. There's a limit to how much of my time and effort I'm willing to waste."

A PARTNERSHIP ENDS AT GWWF INDEPENDENT CARD

The Galaxian Women's Wrestling Federation held its most recent independent card at the Denebola Spiral Arm Stadium of Leo on April 4, 2114.  In the main event, Phantasy was set to challenge GWWF Champion Amazonia in a non-tltle match.  Card results were as follows:

Velar defeated Nora Pelf by countout
The Aran star dominated her opponent until Pelf was stunned too badly to crawl back into the ring.

Arcana defeated Synergy
The twin sisters fell to 0-4 on the year as Vision went down to Sniper's "Hitwoman's Clothesline."

Carrie Storm defeated Xenia
Storm survived Xenia's "X Marks the Spot" finisher twice before scoring the win with her own "Heart Rate."

Tech Candy (Maxine Babe and Tech Candy) defeated the Enchantresses 
The Enchantresses gave Eye Candy their toughest challenge to date in an excellent sixteen minute match, but the beauty queens continued their unexpected success and remained unbeaten in four contests in 2114 as Tech Candy pinned Cassandra with a "Showstopper."  

Blood Rose defeated Shann-Ra by disqualification
Shann-Ra suffered her first loss in the GWF by disqualification, but her vampire opponent dominated the match from the opening bell.

Intercosmos Championship Match:  Champion Rachael Killian v. Supernova
In a tough back and forth contest that lasted for thirteen minutes, Supernova earned the win but not the title when Killian was knocked out outside the ring and was counted out.

The Hellions defeated the Alpha Females (Romy Rahvin and Sabre)
The Brymstone duo needed only four minutes before Hunger put away Sabre with the "Abdominal Hunger."  Rahvin appeared to make no attempt to save her partner.  After the final bell, Sabre turned angrily to Rahvin.

"Where were you?" Sabre screamed.  "Where was the save?"

Rahvin shot back just as angrily, "I thought you could handle it. I guess I was wrong."

"Handle this," Sabre snapped, and without hesitation she kicked Rahvin in the stomach and then delivered a DDT that knocked her own partner out.  Sabre then turned to her manager, Nora Pelf.

"In case it wasn't clear, that means I quit.  She's useless as a partner.  Find someone else to waste time with her.  I'm out."

Sabre then marched away from the ring.  Pelf remained to attend to Rahvin but seemed more concerned with Sabre's exit than any injury to her other wrestler.

Lorelei defeated Thrash by countout
This match was the best on the card, an excellent battle that went back and forth several times over eighteen minutes of action before Lorelei threw Thrash into the ringpost outside the ring and climbed back in for the countout victory.

GWWF Tag Tam Championship Match:  Champions Burning Venom (Viper Vixson and Rose Caldarian) vs. Leather and Lace
In their first title defense, the new tag team champions were ready to face off against the most successful team in the federation's history, but Leather blasted Viper Vixson with a chair outside the ring after just three minutes to earn a quick disqualification.

Non-Title Match:  GWWF Champion Amazonia vs. Phantasy
Phantasy has been outstanding in 2114 with a 4-1 record headed into this match, and her success continued as she dominated Amazonia and claimed the win with a "Sweet Suicide."

After the card, Amazonia commented on her loss.  "I had a bad night," she said.  "It happens.  But I'll see Phantasy on our next card. I got no problem putting up the title.  This was a fluke, and there's no way she beats me again."

Sabre also commented further on her actions after the card.  "We hadn't won a match all year," she said.  "Romy's useless, and we were going nowhere.  I'll find some better situation, maybe a new partner.  I don't know yet.  But what I do know is that the Alpha Females are finished."

Nora Pelf was visibly upset by the developments.  "I think Sabre and Romy could have worked things out," she said. "It was just a slow start.  I'm sorry Sabre did what she did. But I know how valuable Sabre is, and any time she wants to talk about working together again, I'll be here."

SURPRISING NEW GWFF ENTRY AT CALLIOPE MUSE GARDENS

The Galaxian Women's Wrestling Federation's most recent independent card took place at the Calliope Muse Gardens on April 27, 2114.  The main event was a GWWF Championship Match between Amazonia and Phantasy.  Card results were as follows:

Tacehon defeated Ms. Liberty
In what was only Ms. Liberty's second match of the year, Taechon took down the federation's senior member with a jumping spin kick

Carrie Storm defeated Xenia
Storm took home another win with a "shoulder spin rana."  Xenia has now lost six of her seven matches in 2114.

The Enchantresses defeated Synergy
The tag team specialist twins looked several times like they were ready to break through for their first win of the year as they dominated much of the action, but the sisters twice collided in mid-air while attempting their "Synchronicity" finisher.  In the end Cassandra stopped Storm Child with a "Valet Crack."

Titan Hardcore Match:  Shann-Ra defeated Lorelei
Lorelei, who has developed a grudge against Shann-Ra without explanation, asked for this match but was soundly beaten as her opponent put her away with a "Machete."

Romy Rahvin defeated Sabre by disqualification
The former tag team partners agreed to this match after Sabre knocked out Rahvin after their final match together three weeks earlier.  Nora Pelf, the team's manager, came to the ring with Rahvin.  However, after less than two minutes the match went to the arena floor, and Sabre seized the opportunity to grab a chair and blast her opponent, causing the disqualification.  Then, unexpectedly, a large young alien woman jumped out of the crowd and joined Sabre in pummeling Rahvin.  The newcomer was over six feet tall but moved with considerable agility.  After several minutes of merciless pounding, Sabre, Pelf, and the interloper walked away from the ring together, leaving Rahvin unconscious on the floor.

Thrash defeated Sniper
This was an excellent fifteen minute match that Thrash finally won with a "Femme Fatal" after surviving Sniper's "Target Practice" three times.

Leather and Lace defeated Eye Candy (Tech Candy and Maxine)
The sisters from Pleiades put an end to Eye Candy's unlikely winning streak as Leather pinned Maxine

Non-Title Cosmic Cage Match:  Intercosmos Champion Rachael Killian vs. Supernova
Killian dominated this match and put a tremendous beating on Supernova, but after ten minutes of being brutalized the daughter of Omega recovered and landed the "Speed of Light" to defeat the champion.

Velar defeated Blood Rose by disqualification
On the previous card Velar had manhandled Blood Rose's manger Nora Pelf.  Pelf came to ringside with Blood Rose for this match, but after just three minutes Sabre and the young alien who had joined her in beating down Romy Rahvin ran to the ring and joined Blood Rose in attacking the Aran star to cause the disqualification.  Sabre, Blood Rose, Pelf, and the interloper then stood with hands raised over the fallen Velar. As the group left the ring, the young alien took several extra seconds to stomp Velar a few final times.

GWWF Tag Team Championship:  Burning Venom (Viper Vixson and Rose Caldarian, champions) vs. the Hellions
The challengers controlled most of the match before Viper Vixson was disqualified to save the belts for her team.

GWWF Championship:  Amazonia (champion) vs. Phantasy
On the previous card Phantasy defeated the champion in a non-title match, but this time Amazonia dominated from the opening bell and put Phantasy away with a "Running Saber."

After the card, several wrestlers made statements to the media:

"I'm sick of Shann-Ra," Lorelei announced. "She comes in here getting all of this attention, while someone like me, who has been killing herself in this federation for a while now, gets ignored.  She got lucky tonight.  I'll take her down yet."

Supernova immediately began looking beyond her win over Rachael Killian.  "Tonight was to make a point," Supernova stated.  "Last time she got counted out.  She said I couldn't pin her.  Well, I did.  So now let's do it for real. I'm coming for that Intercosmos belt she's carrying, and I'm going to take it soon."

Finally, Sabre introduced her new ally. "I told you all I could find a better partner than that loser Rahvin," she said.  "Meet Solstice.  She's from Cygnus, if that's not obvious. I don't think Rahvin and Velar enjoyed meeting her.  In fact, Velar has met her before:  she trained under Velar to get into wrestling.  But she never liked Velar, so she took some special pleasure in that beatdown, and Velar learned not to disrespect Ms. Pelf. Now Blood Rose, Solstice, Pelf, and I are going to rule this federation, and there's nothing anyone can do about it."

NEW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS CROWNED AT VESTA SPORTS COMPLEX

The Galaxian Women's Wrestling Federation held its most recent independent card at the Vesta Sports Complex on May 19, 2114.  The main event was scheduled to be a showdown between GWWF Champion Amazonia and her long-time rival Thrash. Full results of the card were as follows:

Ms. Liberty defeated Xenia
The senior member of the GWWF may be semi-retired, but she showed she can still compete when she chooses to by stoping Xenia with a "Liberator." Xenia's record for 2114 is now 1-7.

Romy Rahvin defeated Nora Pelf by disqualification
Just one minute into the match, the disqualification took place when Sabre, Solstice, and Blood Rose stormed the ring and joined Pelf in inflicting a horrible beating on their former teammate Rahvin.  The victim was carried from the ring. Her status is unknown at this time.

"We're done with that trash," Pelf noted after the match.  "She was useless, and now she's out of our way.  We're moving on to other things, and in a little while you'll see just how strong we are now."

The Enchantresses defeated Synergy
The sisters from Psyoniss made another good showing but came up short again as Cassandra pinned Storm Child with a "Whips and Chains." Synergy is now 0-7 in 2114.

Flamsteed Street Fight:  Blood Rose defeated Velar
This wild match, another instance of the feuds being instigated by the Pelf's Powerhouse team, ranged all over the area and involved a wide variety of foreign objects before Blood Rose finally pinned Velar in the ring with a "Rose's Thorn."

Sabre and Solstice defeated Eye Candy (Tech Candy and Maxine Babe)
The big newcomer from Cygnus looked dominant in her debut match. The beauty queens were both pounded all over the ring before Solstice finally pinned Tech Candy with an "Annihilator."

Carrie Storm defeated Phantasy
Storm made short work of her opponent, scoring the win with the "Heart Rate."

Intercosmos Title Match:   Rachael Killian (c) vs. Supernova
Supernova had previously beaten Killian in two non-title matches, but this time the blue-skinned powerhouse pounded the challenger down to retain her title.

Leather and Lace defeated Arcana
The sisters from Pleiades were dominant in this contest, with Sniper taking a beating for seven minutes before falling to Lace's "Drift Away." Taechon was never able to tag into the match.

Cosmic Cage Match:  Shann-Ra defeated Lorelei
Lorelei again challenged the rookie and again came up short, being hammered around the cage before going down to the "Machete."

GWWF Tag Team Championship Match:  Burning Venom (Viper Vixson and Rose Caldarian) (c) vs. the Hellions
The Hellions claimed the tag team belts for the fifth time, with Hunger stopping Viper Vixson with an "Abdominal Hunger."  Burning Venom held the titles for two months but managed only one successful defense.  

GWWF Championship Match:  Amazonia (c) vs. Thrash
The Aethran powerhouse started strong, but Amazonia quickly came back and got the win with her "Warrior's Shield" to retain her title.  Amazonia has now recorded ten successful defenses of her title since she won it in August 2113.

After the card, Shann-Ra spoke to the media.  "I hope this ends things between me and Lorelei," she said.  "I have no idea what I did to her, but I think I've proven all I need to against her now. I'm ready to move on.  I hope she is too."

The Hellions were predictably jubilant about their victory. "Once again, we're on top of the tag team division, where we should be," Hunger stated.  "Vixson and Caldarian got lucky against us when they won the belts, but we proved we're really the better team. No one really compares to us.  Now we have our titles back, and we plan to keep them for a long time."

Supernova was less satisfied with the evening.  "Killian got me tonight, but I've beaten her before and I will again," Omega's daughter said. "I want that title, and I won't stop until I get it."

GWWF Commissioner Sandrisa Tralington also commented after the card.  "Our next event is our biggest one of the year, the Queen's Challenge Tournaments in June," she said.  "I'm going to have some surprises there for everyone.  I've been in touch with a few individuals who would like to join this federation, and if things go well we are going to have some exciting new blood coming in very soon."

QUEEN’S CHALLENGE TOURNAMENTS 2114

The GWWF  held its Eleventh annual Queen’s Challenge Tournaments on June 18, 2114 at the Queen of the Stars Palace of Cassiopeia. This event, the GWWF's biggest of the year,  consists of two tournaments, one each for tag teams and for singles wrestlers. Tournament winners may claim automatic title shots at the corresponding championships, although champions may also participate in the tournaments and avoid such a challenge by winning. The final two rounds of each tournament are fought under no disqualification rules.

On June 17, the day before this year's event, GWWF Commissioner Sandrisa Tralington called a press conference.  "I have several announcements today," the commissioner began. "The first concerns the status of Romy Rahvin. As you know, Rahvin was attacked and beaten by her former teammates, Nora Pelf's minions, at our last event. I am sorry to say that Rahvin suffered several serious injuries, including four broken ribs and a dislocated ankle.  I do not expect her to return to the GWWF this year, if indeed she ever decides to return.

"I am not happy with the actions of Ms. Pelf and her team. However, I do have to acknowledge that Rahvin was a willing participant in the events, which were primarily an internal struggle within Pelf's team.  I am not saying that she deserved the attack, but she did make her own choices.  Pelf and her wrestlers have engaged in several assaults against other wrestlers as well, but none of them have resulted in major injuries. I am therefore taking no action at this time, but I do want to warn the members of Pelf's Powerhouse that the attacks will not be tolerated going forward.

"However, while we have lost Romy Rahvin, four newcomers have recenty signed contracts to wrestle in the GWWF and will be here to participate in tomorrow's tournaments.  The first two are a tag team all the way from Centra.  Their names are Jakyllyn and Krypta, and they will go by the team name of Primus Invasion.  The third is a young woman from Coma Berenices named Desyre. And, finally, we welcome Shiawatha, from Cetus.  We look forward to seeing all of them in the ring.

Synergy's frustrating year continued as Storm Child fell to Sniper's "Target Practice." The twin sisters have won only once in 2114.

Tournament Quarterfinals
The Enchantresses defeated Leather and Lace
The federation's most experienced team pulled off an upset of the three-time tournament winners as Anaxis hit Leather with a "Call of the Siren."

Burning Venom (Viper Vixson and Rose Caldarian) defeated Primus Invasion
The newcomers performed well in their debut but went down against the former champions when Viper Vixson hit a "Coiled Strike" on Jakyllyn.

Eye Candy (Tech Candy and Maxine Babe) defeated S & S Domination (Sabre amd Solstice)
The beauty queens were dominated throughout this match and were hammered all over the ring by their more powerful opponents, but in the end they pulled off another stunning upset as Tech Candy hit a Kai Strike to the throat of Solstice and pinned her for the win.

Arcana defeated the Hellions
In the third major upset in just four matches, Taechon landed a "Contact Point" to pin Serpentine and defeat the current GWWF Tag Team Champions.

The Enchantresses put in another strong performance, but Anaxis was ultimately pinned by Viper Vixson's "Coiled Strike."

Eye Candy defeated Arcana
Once again the beauty queens shocked the federation, this time with Tech Candy hitting Taechon with a "Showstopper."

Tag Team Tournament Final
Burning Venom defeated Eye Candy
The former champions finally put an end to Eye Candy's incredible run, taking out Tech Candy with Viper Vixson's "Coiled Strike" to claim the tournament championship and an automatic title shot.

After the end of the tag team tournament, Synergy made a surprising announcement. "We don't want keep on the way we're going," Storm Child said.  "We've been terrible all year, and we couldn't even win a qualifying match to get into the tournament today.  So we're leaving, effective immediately.  We need to work some things out.  We do plan to be back, but I can't say when.  We will return when we're ready to give a better showing for ourselves."

SINGLES TOURNAMENT

Tournament Round One
Amazonia defeated Sabre
Sabre put up a surprisingly good fight for twelve minutes but finally went down to Amazonia's "Running Sabre."

Phantasy defeated Shann-Ra by disqualification
This contest was a war from the opening bell and lasted for nearly twenty minutes before the disqualification finally took place. Both wrestlers were badly beaten and bloodied, and both swore after the match that they would continue the fight on another day.

Lorelei defeated Hunger by disqualification
In the first upset of the singles tournament, Lorelei survived when Hunger lost her temper in a brawl outside the ring.

Velar defeated Supernova
This match left the crowd speechless, as the competitors both survived each other's finishing moves multiple times and battled for nearly twenty-five minutes before Velar finally put Supernova away with a "Hammerlock Slam."  Both wrestlers suffered several minor injuries, but Velar nonetheless announced her intent to continue in the tournament.

Rachael Killian defeated Xenia
The blue-skinned Intercosmos Champion rolled through Xenia with a "Cold Justice."

Blood Rose defeated Shiawatha
The big newcomer, perhaps the most powerful wrestler now in the federation, was impressive in her debut but went down to the "Rose's Thorn."

Carrie Storm defeated Desyre
In her debut match, Desyre put in a good effort but could not overcome Storm's "Heart Rate."

Sniper defeated Thrash
This contest almost equaled the one between Velar and Supernova, with the opponents engaging in fifteen minutes of brutality.  Sniper took a tremendous beating but finally put away her larger competitor with a "Target Practice." 

Tournament Quarter-finals
Amazonia defeated Phantasy
In another excellent match, the GWWF Champion put away Phantasy with a standing jump kick.

Velar defeated Lorelei
Fighting despite her injuries suffered in the previous round, Velar landed three consecutive "Hammerlock Slams" to secure the win.

Rachel Killian defeated Blood Rose
This match was a brawl from the opening bell. Killian finally won it after twelve minutes with a "Cold Justice."

Carrie Storm defeated Sniper
The toll of competing in both the tag team and singles tournaments finally caught up with Sniper as Storm won with a "Heart Rate."

Tournament Semi-Finals
Amazonia defeated Velar
Amazonia, a two-time former winner of the tournament, downed the injured Velar with a "Warrior's Shield."

Carrie Storm defeated Rachael Killian
Storm reached the finals for the first time in her career by stopping her larger opponent with a "Heart Rate."

Singles Tournament Final
Carrie Storm defeated Amazonia
Storm controlled the action for the entire ten minute match and pulled off the upset with a "Stormbreaker."

After the final match, Amazonia embraced and congratulated Storm.  "She fought very well," the GWWF Champion said later.  "She beat me today. It was impressive.  But it will not be the same thing when the title is on the line.  This belt is going nowhere."

For her part, Storm expressed her anticipation of her title match.  "Amazonia is a legend. No one can deny that," she said.  "I have complete respect for her.  But I proved today that I can beat her.  Next time I'll prove I can take her title away."

Shann-Ra and Phantasy were less complimentary of each other.  "This is far from over between us," Phantasy said.  "The jungle tramp is nothing compared to me.  I'll show her what a real woman is next time we get in the ring."

"When Lorelei and I fought so many times, that was all her," Shann-Ra noted. "I had nothing against her.  But this is different.  Phantasy thinks she's better than I am.  She'll find out she's wrong.  She thinks she'll put me in my place?  She's gonna find out just what my place is."

Supernova also noted that her battle with Velar would continue.  "We've fought before," Omega's daughter said.  "We've never liked each other. But this was wild today, and it didn't settle anything between us. So she won today. Congratulations.  But that was one battle. The war will go on."
