THUNDER INJURED ON WILD CARD AT DEMON STAR An unusually violent evening at the Demon Star Auditorium of Persei on September 1, 2113 ended with Thunder out of action and the War Games hopes of the Gladiators of Aethra severely damaged.
Thunder faced off against Rising Sun on the card and won the match with a “Tempest.” After the bell, however, the Aethran continued to pound his opponent, landing another “Tempest” on the downed Titan. Soon reinforcements arrived for both wrestlers: Venom and Overkill to help Thunder and Blade and Ursa Major to protect Rising Sun. The Titans managed to get the upper hand in the brawl, and Rising Sun landed his own finishers on Thunder several times before the ring was cleared.
Thunder suffered two broken ribs and a separated shoulder in the melee. He is expected to miss two approximately two months of action, which will put him on the sidelines for most of the remaining War Games competition. Rising Sun, Blade, and Ursa Major were suspended for one month for their actions.
On the same card, the Colonizers also suffered a severe blow when their newest recruit, the hulking Stone Mountain, was injured in a brawl with Dark Justice. Stone Mountain is expected to miss at least six weeks of action.
American Guy suffered a somewhat less severe injury in a tag team match between Star & Stripes and Alter Ego. The FDF star is expected to miss three to four weeks. In the same match, Hyper took such a brutal meeting that he will likely miss ten days.
“This night was pure chaos,” Commissioner Morpheus stated. “I'm glad we don't have many like this. It's unfortunate to see the Gladiators lose such a talented wrestler, since they have been among the War Games leaders all year. But Thunder did start the altercation. The same thing goes for Stone Mountain. I'm sorry to see them out of action, but they really are as much to blame as anyone for what happened tonight.”
KRAKAN AGAIN SOUNDS OFF ABOUT RISING SUN The Invincible Krakan confirmed on September 7 that he will be looking to expand his “Deadly Militia” team in 2114, but his comments indicated an unexpected potential target for his recruitment efforts.
“Right now I only have Assasssin X and Mike Fortune, so obviously I'd like to have another man or two join us,” Krakan stated. “I'd be very happy if it were someone like Rising Sun. He's such a talent, and he's being so badly misused by Nexus. I don't understand how Nexus can push someone of Rising Sun's ability aside in favor of a hack like Scion Nexus. I suppose it's a family thing, but Rising Sun really should think about joining a team that would treat him the way he deserves.”
The remarks followed similar observations by Krakan at the Starclash supercard two weeks earlier. At the time of the most recent comments, Rising Sun was wrestling in the USWF during a GWF suspension and was unavailable for a response. However, Lord Nexus offered his view of the situation.
“Krakan is just trying to divide our team,” Nexus said. “He knows there's no way Rising Sun would join a bunch of thugs like the Deadly Militia. He's trying to create controversy between Scion Nexus and Rising Sun. It won't work. Rising Sun knows how much we respect him, and he's a Titan. To even suggest he would join Krakan is just ridiculous.”
BLAZING SKULL TO RECEIVE TITLE SHOT ON AETHRA Commissioner Morpheus announced that Blazing Skull would challenge Archon for the GWF Heavyweight Championship at the Warrior Village Warfare supercard on Aethra on October 5 after Skull defeated the champion in a non-title match on September 16 at the Pollux Starfire Arena.
“We have a number of people who are enjoying great years in 2113,” Morpehus noted. “Max Shield, Mensar, Terminus, and others have been terrific. But no one has been better than Blazing Skull. He's having the best year of his career. He's held the special matches title since February. He's been the Interplanetary Champ. And he just beat Archon, and not for the first time this year. I've never been a fan of Blazing Skull, but he earned this title shot, and he's going to get it on Aethra.”
TAKEOVER LEADS BUT ROCKETMEN CLIMB IN WAR GAMES Cordanus' Takeover team has expanded its lead in the 2113 GWF War Games, but a new challenger has emerged in recent weeks. The Rocketman, led by GWF Tag Team Champions Twin Blood and the tremendous effort of Max Shield, have jumped from a tie for ninth place in the War Games standings all the way to the number two spot. The Aethran Rebels continue to hang close in third place, while the Gladiators slip to fourth. The Colonizers and Atman's Crusade bring up the rear and have all but been eliminated from contention. Complete War Games standings as of September 16 are as follows:
1. Takeover (Mensar, Assassin X, Mike Fortune, Wraith. Rack, Ruin) 104 points 2. The Rocketmen (Max Shield, Vyper, Dark Justice, Crow, Twin Blood) 93 points 3. Aethran Rebels (Wolf, Spike, Disaster, Wrath, Predator) 92 points 4. Gladiators of Aethra (Thunder, Vengeance, Venom, Malice, Overkill) 90 points 5T. FDF (Archon, Corporal Aegis, Chad Hillsman, Stars & Stripes) 89 points 5T. Team Thantos (Euritar, Terminus, Bloodline, Encubus, Alter Ego) 89 points 7. Avenging Warriors (CE Manslaughter, Pegasus, Enigma, SWAT Team) 87 points 8. Alien Alliance (Maelstrom, Murdok, Taechon, Belroc, Sekada) 81 points 9. Brymstone Burning (Blazing Skull, Anarchy Draconian Sheik, Turge, Cyclopes) 79 points 10. Fighting Titans (Rising Sun, Scion Nexus, Quasar, Blade, Ursa Major) 78 points 11. Colonizers (Mandrill, Stone Mountain, Skinhead, Rebel Empire) 70 points 12. The Crusade (Atman, Avalanche, Moeru Tohkon, the Ravagers) 68 points

ANOTHER WILD NIGHT LEADS INTO AETHRA SUPERCARD On September 30, 2113, the GWF presented its final event leading up to the Warrior Village Warfare supercard. The evening turned out to be another chaotic explosion as brawls broke out repeatedly throughout the card.
The most serious damage of the night occurred when GWF Heavyweight Champion Archon faced Bloodline in a non-title match. Archon gained the victory but refused to release his hold on Omega’s youngest son after the bell. Eventually Encubus and Euritar ran to the ring to help their teammate, but they were intercepted by Stars and Stripes. By the time Archon finally released his hold, Bloodline’s elbow was badly damaged, and he is expected to miss as much as two months of action.
Commissioner Morpheus immediately ruled on the situation. “This was an unnecessary injury, and there must be consequences,” he stated. “Stars and Stripes are suspended for the next month. Archon will receive a similar suspension, but I am not going to let this destroy the main event at the upcoming supercard. Therefore, Archon will still face Blazing Skull for the GWF Heavyweight Belt at Warrior Village Warfare. Win or lose, Archon’s suspension will begin immediately after the Aethra card.”
Later the same evening, another melee took place after Euritar defeated Max Shield, resulting in an injury to Euritar. The former Code Enforcer was expected to miss approximately three weeks of ring time. Once again Morpehus gave an immediate reaction.
“Euritar’s injury will force him to miss the supercard on Aethra,” the commissioner said. “I think it’s only fair if Max Shield is given a similar consquence. I am therefore suspending Max for two weeks. However, Max was scheduled to face Terminus for the Interplanetary Title on Aethra. Since Shield will not be fighting on the supercard, I am giving the title shot to Disaster. It will be Terminus against Disaster on Aethra for the IP title.”
WARRIOR VILLAGE WARFARE 2113 The supercard originally known as War Dome Warfare was started in 2099 at the prompting of Thakur the Oppressor. Held at the Aethra War Dome until 2104, the event was cancelled by the GWF for two years due to political disputes with Aethra. In 2106 the federation reinstituted the card and moved it to Aethra’s huge Warrior Village Coliseum. In 2110 the name of the card was officially changed to Warrior Village Warfare. The 2113 event was held on October 5 before a sellout crowd of over 144,000 fans.
The traditional format for War Dome Warfare involves at least one Aethran Ultimate Escape Match, with the main event including the Aethran team. Because the GWF features two primarily Aethran teams in 2113, this year’s card included two Ultimate Escape Matches, with Vengeance’s Gladiators taking on the Colonizers and Spike’s Aethran Rebels fighting Cordanus’ Takeover squad. In addition, Galaxian Heavyweight Champion Archon was set to defend his title against Blazing Skull and Interplanetary Champion Terminus agreed to put his belt on the line against the young Aethran Disaster.
WAR DOME WARFARE RESULTS
Atman defeated the Draconian Sheik Time: 8:30 The first match of the supercard was a very physical affair that spent as much time on the arena floor as in the ring. Atman finally scored the pin after a flying fistdrop.
The Creatures of Lamia defeated Titan Honor Time: 5:13 The Titans returned from their suspension for injuring Thunder but their year-long slump continued as Cyclopes put away Blade simply by standing on his chest until he passed out.
Between matches, GWF interviewer Thranduil Glorfin spoke with Dark Justice about his upcoming Street Fight with Avalanche. “I got no problem with the big man,” Dark Justice said. “We just both needed a match tonight, and we’re both trying to move up in the special matches rankings, so here we are. This is likely to be my final year in the GWF. In fact, I may not stay after the end of the War Games. So if I’m gonna to go out after all these years, I’m not gonna miss my last supercard on Aethra. And I’m not gonna lose on my last supercard on Aethra, either. Everyone knows I’ve got a long history with the Aethrans, and tonight I’m walking out of here in front of them proud.”
Flamsteed Street Fight Dark Justice defeated Avalanche Time: 4:18 Dark Justice got the win with a backward head slam.
Light Heavyweight Championship Match Enigma (c) and Chad Hillsman fought to a double countout Time: 5:50 This contest was an exciting, high-flying match until Enigma attempted an “Enigma Suicida” and knocked both his opponent and himself unconscious, causing the double countout.
Centra Coffin Match Corporal Aegis defeated Anarchy Time: 14:02 The first ever Centra Coffin Match in GWF history was by far the bloodiest and most intense contest on the card. Anarchy took an early advantage and beat Aegis down mercilessly, but the FDF star refused to be put into the coffin and eventually fought back to hammer his opponent down. Both men took tremendous damage but refused to be defeated. Corporal Aegis was nearly unable to stand on his own when GWF Heavyweight Champion Archon interfered in the match and threw Anarchy into the casket, giving Aegis the win. Although he gained the victory, Aegis is expected to miss as much as six weeks of action after the terrible beating he took, while Anarchy will likely miss as much as three weeks.
Lepus Stun Rod Match Rising Sun defeated Assassin X Time: 4:38 In his first match back after a suspension, Rising Sun had one of his better performances of the year as he knocked out Assassin X with a “Sunset Spectacular.”
After the match, Thranduil Glorfin attempted to question Rising Sun on his thoughts upon returning to the GWF. The Titan star simply pushed angrily past Glorfin without speaking a word.
Titan Hardcore Tag Team Match Alter Ego defeated the SWAT Team Time: 6:59 Hyper took out Warfare with a “Berserk Pounding Attack” to get the win for his team.
Castor Chain Match Code Enforcer Manslaughter defeated Encubus Time: 4:51 The hot streak of Thantos’ son was interrupted by a running spear from the big masked man.
Cosmic Cage Match Paragon defeated Pegasus Time: 5:35 Pegasus continued his recent slide as Paragon threw him into the cage with a full nelson suplex and pinned him for the win.
Between matches, Thranduil Glorfin spoke with Blazing Skull about his upcoming GWF Heavyweight Title Match with Archon and about Archon’s interference in the coffin match. “So the hero wants to play that way, eh?” Skull grinned evilly. “The guardian of all that’s honorable jumps in and interferes in Anarchy’s match. That’s fine. Anarchy will recover. But if Archon thinks he can come down and fight at our level, he’s even crazier than I’ve always thought he was. Later tonight, I’ll show him that he can’t win against Brymstone. When I burn him and take his title, he may wonder if he ought to mind his own business in the future.”
Interplanetary Championship Match Terminus (c) defeated Disaster Time: 6:05 The young Aethran warrior put up a good fight, but Terminus came back with a “Hammerlock Slam” to retain his belt.
Aethran Ultimate Escape Match The Aethran Rebels defeated Takeover Time: 21:43 Mensar started strong for Takeover by knocking Wolf down and escaping the cage quickly. Predator then evened the sides by escaping over Mike Fortune. Rack put Takeover on top again by escaping over Wolf, and Wraith followed his teammate out to make the sides three against one. Mike Fortune was thus faced with the prospect of finishing the Ultimate Escape Match alone against perhaps the three most legendary cage performers in wrestling history: Wolf, Spike, and Wrath. Spike escaped past Fortune quickly, but Krakan’s star put up a tremendous fight before allowing Wolf to climb out. Finally Fortune faced Wrath, the half-Aethran powerhouse who had held the USWF Heavy Metal Belt for all but three weeks from 2101 to 2107. Again Fortune made a valiant effort, but in the end he could not stop Wrath from climbing out of the cage and winning the match for the Rebels.
GWF Tag Team Championship Match Twin Blood (c) defeated the Ravagers by DQ Time: 7:35 This match was another good battle between perhaps the two best tag teams in the federation, but Rankor lost his composure and knocked out the referee during a melee on the arena floor, causing the disqualification and allowing Twin Blood to retain the belts.
Aethran Ultimate Escape Match The Colonizers of Scorpi defeated the Gladiators of Aethra Time: 25:09 The Aethrans started well, with both Vengeance and Malice escaping over Vendetta, who came into the match with an arm injury. From that point, however, things fell apart for the Gladiators. Both Overkill and Venom fought desperately, but one by one Mandrill, Nefarus, Skinhead, and finally the injured Vendetta managed to climb out of the ring, handing the Aethrans a humiliating loss in their home arena.
GWF Heavyweight Championship Match Blazing Skull defeated Archon (c) Time: 7:42 In a stunning finale for Warrior Village Warfare, Blazing Skull dominated Archon and overcame repeated distractions and interference by Commander Sam. The Brymstone star used his “Death by Fire” finisher on the champion three times, and on the third occasion Archon was not able to escape the pin. Skull, who was already the GWF’s Special Matches Champion and War Games Singles Champion, thus claimed the GWF’s biggest honor for the first time in his career and ended Archon’s third reign as heavyweight champion after just one month.
Aethran Minister of War Vengeance was lividly angry after the card. “My team loses in front of our own people?” he raged. “And Spike’s bunch of misfits wins their match? This is unacceptable. I know we’re missing Thunder, but that’s no excuse. My men had better get things turned around, and soon, or they’ll have me to deal with, and they won’t like it.”
Not surprisingly, Spike had a different view of the evening’s events. “People around the galaxy do not understand how important this is on Aethra,” he said. “This loss on our home planet, on our own supercard, is huge for Vengeance. Worse yet, the Gladiators are sliding in the War Games Standings. He’s losing support on Aethra by the day, and he knows it. I'm loving it. We may have some real surprises by the end of this year.”
Archon and Commander Sam were both furious with the results of the main event. “Three times he used his illegal fire!” Sam stormed. “Three times! Where was the referee? The belt was stolen from Archon tonight. Commissioner Morpheus needs to do something about this. It’s an injustice, and if Morpheus won’t set it right, we may have to do so ourselves.”
WAR GAMES REMAIN A TIGHT RACE Cordanus’ Takeover team continues to lead in the 2113 GWF War Games, but the Games overall remain a close contest with five other teams within twelve points of the leaders. The Rocketman have cut Takeover’s lead to just two points, while Brymstone Burning has mounted a surprising run to climb back into contention. The Gladiators, once the leaders in the standings, have fallen to the eighth slot. Complete War Games standings as of October 5 are as follows:
1. Takeover (Mensar, Assassin X, Mike Fortune, Wraith. Rack, Ruin) 113 points 2. The Rocketmen (Max Shield, Vyper, Dark Justice, Crow, Twin Blood) 111 points 3. Aethran Rebels (Wolf, Spike, Disaster, Wrath, Predator) 110 points 4. FDF (Archon, Corporal Aegis, Chad Hillsman, Stars & Stripes) 105 points 5. Team Thantos (Euritar, Terminus, Bloodline, Encubus, Alter Ego) 103 points 6. Brymstone Burning (Blazing Skull, Anarchy, Draconian Sheik, Turge, Cyclopes) 102 points 7. Avenging Warriors (CE Manslaughter, Pegasus, Enigma, SWAT Team) 101 points 8. Gladiators of Aethra (Thunder, Vengeance, Venom, Malice, Overkill) 93 points 9. Fighting Titans (Rising Sun, Scion Nexus, Quasar, Blade, Ursa Major) 87 points 10. Colonizers (Mandrill, Stone Mountain, Skinhead, Rebel Empire) 86 points 11. Alien Alliance (Maelstrom, Murdok, Taechon, Belroc, Sekada) 85 points 12. The Crusade (Atman, Avalanche, Moeru Tohkon, the Ravagers) 75 points

WAR GAMES GOING DOWN TO THE WIRE With only four cards remaining in the 2113 GWF War Games, first place is still very much up in the air. After a long struggle back from a poor start, the Rocketmen have moved into the lead, two points ahead of Cordanus’ Takeover team and seven points in front of the Aethran Rebels. Team Thantos remains in contention at ten points off the pace, while The Avenging Warriors and Brymstone Burning hold on to thin hopes with a fourteen point margin to make up. “It’s been a wild year for us,” Rocketmen star Max Shield noted. We’ve had injuries. Some of us have had bad streaks. But we’ve fought back, and now that Vyper has returned from his injury, I think we can hold on and win this thing.” The final War Games card will be held on November 27 at the Deimos Intergalactic Arena. Complete War Games standings as of November 3 are as follows:
1. The Rocketmen (Max Shield, Vyper, Dark Justice, Crow, Twin Blood) 132 points 2. Takeover (Mensar, Assassin X, Mike Fortune, Wraith. Rack, Ruin) 130 points 3. Aethran Rebels (Wolf, Spike, Disaster, Wrath, Predator) 125 points 4. Team Thantos (Euritar, Terminus, Bloodline, Encubus, Alter Ego) 122 points 5T. Avenging Warriors (CE Manslaughter, Pegasus, Enigma, SWAT Team) 118 points 5T. Brymstone Burning (Blazing Skull, Anarchy, Draconian Sheik, Turge, Cyclopes) 118 points 7. FDF (Archon, Corporal Aegis, Chad Hillsman, Stars & Stripes) 110 points 8. Fighting Titans (Rising Sun, Scion Nexus, Quasar, Blade, Ursa Major) 109 points 9. Colonizers (Mandrill, Stone Mountain, Skinhead, Rebel Empire) 107 points 10. Gladiators of Aethra (Thunder, Vengeance, Venom, Malice, Overkill) 106 points 11. Alien Alliance (Maelstrom, Murdok, Taechon, Belroc, Sekada) 103 points 12. The Crusade (Atman, Avalanche, Moeru Tohkon, the Ravagers) 91 points
War Games Notes: Mensar is currently nursing a minor injury but has continued to defend the War Games Singles Title, as Takeover would have little chance of victory with him on the sidelines . . . The Creatures of Lamia are the current War Games Tag Team Champions, having upset Wrath and Predator to win the belts . . . The FDF has slipped badly in the standings due to suspensions to Archon and Stars & Stripes and an injury to Corporal Aegis . . . Thunder, Vyper, and Stone Mountain all returned to action recently after long injury layoffs . . . With the return of Vyper, Crow has left the Rocketmen and returned to the USWF. His record during his short time in the GWF in 2113 was 4-7.
QUASAR’S COMEBACK ENDS EARLY The return to the ring of Quasar, who had been away from the GWF for twelve years but came back to help the Fighting Titans in the War Games, ended abruptly when he was injured by Krakan’s henchmen Mike Fortune and Assassin X on October 24.
“I guess this is it,” Quasar commented. “This injury is not crippling, but by the time it heals, the War Games will be over, and I have no reason to stay past that. I just came back to support the Titans in the Games. I don’t know how much help I was really giving to Nexus’ team anyway, but I gave it all I had. It was fun getting back in the ring again, but this is the end for me.”
Quasar’s record during his brief return was 4-8.

DOUBLE TITLE CHANGE AT SUPERNOVA SOLARIUM Two championships changed hands on the GWF card at the Supernova Solarium of Delphinus on November 13, 2113, and by the end of the evening the War Games had become a four team race.
The first champion to fall was Blazing Skull, who lost the Special Matches Title to Wolf in a Mensa Table Match. Skull, who also continues to hold the GWF Heavyweight Championship, finally found the strain of defending two belts to be too much as Wolf blasted him through three tables and then put him away with a Savage Face Claw.
Wolf won the Special Matches Title for the third time. Blazing Skull’s title reign lasted for nearly nine months and included nine successful defenses, both records for the Special Matches Championship.
On the same card, Alter Ego stunned Twin Blood to capture the GWF Tag Team Titles. The two personalities of the former Buck Steele have been effective all year when they were not injured and when they could manage to work together, but the team has suffered from frequent internal tension. On this night, the twin brothers from Maxus beat down Genocide and seemed to have the match in hand, but Hyper tagged in and fought back until his larger partner could recover. Genocide then blasted Sleeze with a brutal spear and pinned him to win the belts.
Twin Blood held the tag titles for a slightly less than four months and defended them successfully seven times. The victory gave both Genocide and Hyper their first championships since being separated from each other.
“Finally!” Hyper shouted after the match. “My moron partner finally decided to follow my lead, and look what we won! I deserve to be a champion. I’m the best ever, even without the body that is rightfully mine!”
The events of the evening left the War Games standings with a logjam at the top. The Rocketmen's tenuous hold on first place became even more uncertain with the loss of the tag team belts, while Wolf and Alter Ego pulled both the Aethran Rebels and Team Thantos back into contention.
ENIGMA DROPS LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT BELT TO HILLSMAN In his third attempt at taking the light heavyweight title from Enigma, Chad Hillsman finally stuck gold at the Ara Champions Hall on November 8, 2113.
In two previous title matches, Hillsman and Enigma had fought to double countouts when the champion had knocked both himself and his opponent unconscious with an “Enigma Suicida.” On Ara, however, Hillsman managed to avoid Enigma’s dive, and the champion crashed to the floor. Hillsman then rolled Engima back into the ring and scored with a “Stars and Bars” to win the match and claim the light heavyweight belt for the first time.
Enigma’s title reign lasted for nearly five months and covered eleven successful defenses. The contest marked the second time in one year that the Light Heavyweight Championship had changed hands at the Ara Champions Hall, with Assassin X having defeated Scion Nexus for the belt in April.
On the same card, a tag team battle between the Ravagers and Rebel Empire ended in a win for the Colonizers but was followed by a wild brawl in which Nefarus was injured. Nefarus was expected to be out of action until mid-December and perhaps for the remainder of the year. Commissioner Morpheus suspended the Ravagers for one month.
“This is ridiculous,” an angry Ventross declared after he was informed of the commissioner’s decision. “They attacked Rankor after the bell, we fought back, and now we get suspended? I know our team had no shot at winning the War Games anyway, but we should still be able to keep trying. I hope someone is going to challenge this decision. There’s no way we should be suspended for what happened tonight, and we need to have somebody stand up for us.”
WAR GAMES STILL TOO CLOSE TO CALL The 2113 GWF War Games are down to the final two cards, and four teams still have a legitimate shot at the championship. The Rocketmen remain in the lead, but Twin Blood’s recent loss of the tag team titles puts that advantage in jeopardy. Cordanus’ Takeower Squad remains a close second, with Team Thantos having climbed to third place and the Aethran Rebels falling to fourth but still within striking distance only six points behind. The final War Games cards will be held on November 27 at the Deimos Intergalactic Arena. Complete current War Games standings as of November 3 are as follows:
1. The Rocketmen (Max Shield, Vyper, Dark Justice, Crow, Twin Blood) 138 points 2. Takeover (Mensar, Assassin X, Mike Fortune, Wraith. Rack, Ruin) 137 points 3. Team Thantos (Euritar, Terminus, Bloodline, Encubus, Alter Ego) 134 points 4. Aethran Rebels (Wolf, Spike, Disaster, Wrath, Predator) 132 points 5. Avenging Warriors (CE Manslaughter, Pegasus, Enigma, SWAT Team) 125 points 6. Brymstone Burning (Blazing Skull, Anarchy, Draconian Sheik, Turge, Cyclopes) 123 points 7. FDF (Archon, Corporal Aegis, Chad Hillsman, Stars & Stripes) 118 points 8. Gladiators of Aethra (Thunder, Vengeance, Venom, Malice, Overkill) 112 points 9T. Colonizers (Mandrill, Stone Mountain, Skinhead, Rebel Empire) 111 points 9T. Fighting Titans (Rising Sun, Scion Nexus, Quasar, Blade, Ursa Major) 111 points 11. Alien Alliance (Maelstrom, Murdok, Taechon, Belroc, Sekada) 107 points 12. The Crusade (Atman, Avalanche, Moeru Tohkon, the Ravagers) 97 points

ROCKETMEN REPEAT AS WAR GAMES CHAMPS Johnny Rocket’s Rocketmen, who started the 2113 GWF War Games slowly but came back with a furious rally, put the finishing touches on their second consecutive victory in the Games at the Demios Intergalactic Arena on November 27.
The Rocketmen entered the final card with a four point lead. Because Cordanus’ Takeover squad was the only group with a realistic chance of catching the leaders, Commissioner Morpheus set up a series of matches pitting the two teams directly against each other. Rocket’s group took full advantage of the situation, with Dark Justice hammering Assassin X in a Four Weapons of Destruction Match, Vyper defeating Wraith in a Barbed Wire Cage Match, and Twin Blood overcoming Desolation Factor for the War Games Tag Team Titles. By the time Mensar defeated Max Shield in the final contest, the Rocketmen had already clinched their victory. Twin Blood and Vyper repeated as War Games champions, having been on the team in each of the past two years. Dark Justice, Max Shield, and Crow were all new to the team in 2113. Overall, Dreggs won his fifth War Games ring, while Max Shield, Dark Justice, and Sleeze all won for the third time. Vyper picked up his second ring and Crow his first. Johnny Rocket has now earned three War Games rings as a manager. “This has been a great year,” Rocket stated. “Max Shield has been incredible, and he really carried the team all through the Games. Twin Blood was also terrific. Vyper was excellent, and when he got hurt Dark Justice and Crow came in from the USWF to help us. Everything just fell into place.” Cordanus, whose team actually slipped to third during the final card, was less excited about the result. “My team led all the way through the Games,” Cordanus raged. “Mensar was the most dominant force in the GWF this year. But Krakan’s men let us down: Fortune got hurt at the end, and Assassin X should have beaten Dark Justice. I am not satisfied at all, and next year we will come in with a team on which everyone can pull his weight.”
Complete final 2113 War Games standings were as follows:
1. The Rocketmen (Max Shield, Vyper, Dark Justice, Crow, Twin Blood) 149 points 2. Aethran Rebels (Wolf, Spike, Disaster, Wrath, Predator) 142 points 3. Takeover (Mensar, Assassin X, Mike Fortune, Wraith. Rack, Ruin) 141 points 4. Team Thantos (Euritar, Terminus, Bloodline, Encubus, Alter Ego) 139 points 5T. Avenging Warriors (CE Manslaughter, Pegasus, Enigma, SWAT Team) 130 points 5T. Brymstone Burning (Blazing Skull, Anarchy, Draconian Sheik, Turge, Cyclopes) 130 points 7. FDF (Archon, Corporal Aegis, Chad Hillsman, Stars & Stripes) 125 points 8. Fighting Titans (Rising Sun, Scion Nexus, Quasar, Blade, Ursa Major) 120 points 9. Gladiators of Aethra (Thunder, Vengeance, Venom, Malice, Overkill) 119 points 10. Colonizers (Mandrill, Stone Mountain, Skinhead, Rebel Empire) 116 points 11. Alien Alliance (Maelstrom, Murdok, Taechon, Belroc, Sekada) 109 points 12. The Crusade (Atman, Avalanche, Moeru Tohkon, the Ravagers) 107 points
SEVERAL STARS EXIT WITH CONCLUSION OF WAR GAMES As frequently happens, a number of GWF wrestlers announced that they were leaving the federation after the conclusion of the War Games. Joining Quasar and Crow, who both made their exits even before the end of the Games, were Dark Justice, Stone Mountain, Taechon, and Spike.
“I planned on leaving at the beginning of the Games and going to the USWF,” Dark Justice stated, “but Rocket called me back. I’m honored to have been able to pick up another War Games ring as a member of the Rocketmen. But now I’m heading back to the USWF. I still need a fresh start, and I hope I can find it there.”
Spike also spoke to the media before leaving. “Our team finished second in the War Games, but Vengeance and his men finished ninth,” Spike smiled. “That’s a huge embarrassment for him. I’m on my way back to Aethra now. Some important things are happening, and I'm hoping to be back before the end of the year with a big announcement that Vengeance will not like at all.”
TITAN CHALLENGE 2113 The Titan Challenge is the creation of “Trainer Jim” Powell and has been held at the Titan Sportatorium of Saturn each November since 2095. From 2101 to 2106 the Challenge was a co-promotion of the GWF and the United Stars Wrestling Federation and featured wrestlers from both federations. In 2107, due to the legal separation of the two federations due to Magnus Colby’s attempted takeover, the supercard returned to its original format as a showcase for special challenge matches. In 2111, as the GWF’s relationship with Colby improved, the event once again became an inter-federation presentation.
The 2113 Titan Challenge took place on November 23. The GWF invited specific wrestlers from the USWF to participate and invited all other USWF personnel to attend as guests. The main event was scheduled to be a champion versus champion non-title match between GWF Heavyweight Champion Blazing Skull and USWF title holder Mayhem.
Titan Challenge Results
Next Generation defeated Titan Honor Time: 9:51 Blade and Ursa Major had one of their best outings of the year in front of their home fans to open the card. The Titans hammered down first Encubus and then Bloodline throughout the match but could not manage to get the pin, and in the end Encubus came back to hit Ursa Major with a “Second Coming.”
Mace (USWF) defeated Malice (GWF) Time: 8:14 In a tremendous back-and-forth battle, GWF tag team legend Mace came back to the federation and pinned his Aethran opponent after a missed turnbuckle charge.
GWF Light Heavyweight Champion Chad Hillsman defeated Wildcat (USWF) Time: 0:34 Normally the light heavyweight champion would fight the USWF cruiserweight champion, but because Grunge currently holds both the interstellar and cruiserweight titles in the USWF, Wildcat filled in for this match and was embarrassed when he was pinned in less than a minute with a “Stars and Bars.”
Scion Nexus defeated Maelstrom Time: 5:51 Nexus scored a solid win in this match with a “Flying Titan.”
Nightmare Matrix Match Paragon defeated Vyper Time: 6:08 With Paragon looking for revenge against Vyper for having seriously injured him in a Scorpi King of the Ring Match months earlier, the two men met in the GWF’s first Nightmare Matrix Match. Paragon earned his redemption with the “Final Overture” when Vyper collapsed after seeing an illusion of numerous rabid circus animals.
The Troubleshooters (USWF) defeated Star and Stripes (GWF) Time: 7:27 This was a rematch from the 2112 Titan Challenge. The USWF team took the victory by crushing American Guy with a “Trouble Times Two.”
GWF Interplanetary Champion Terminus defeated USWF Interstellar Champion Grunge Time: 6:35 Grunge once again fought surprisingly well, but Terminus got the win with a “Hammerlock Slam.”
Mensa Table Match USWF Hardcore Champion Blitz defeated GWF Special Matches Champion Wolf Time: 7:29 In a major upset, the Aethran powerhouse dominated Wolf throughout the match and has no trouble scoring the win.
Castor Chain Match Venom (GWF) defeated Lycanthrope (USWF) Time: 4:50 In a renewal of this old USWF rivalry, Venom defeated Wolf’s son with a “Snakebite.”
Cosmic Cage Match Colossus (USWF) defeated Code Enforcer Manslaughter (GWF) Time: 5:27 Former GWF Heavyweight Champion Colossus returned to the federation and pinned Manslaughter with a “Heads Will Roll.”
Twin Blood (GWF) defeated Blackout (USWF) Time: 7:53 This battle between two recently dethroned champions and arguably the best team in each federation was a great matchup that ended when Dreggs hooked the “Dreggs of Defeat” on Charon.
Scorpi King of the Ring Match Mandrill (GWF) defeated Painmaster (USWF) Time: 5:23 Mandrill put in an outstanding performance in crushing his former henchman.
Euritar (GWF) defeated Jack of Diamonds (USWF) Time: 6:02 Former USWF Heavyweight champion Jack of Diamonds had a bad outing again, losing at the Titan Challenge for the second straight year as Euritar connected with a “Heads Will Roll.”
Titan Hardcore Match Thunder (GWF) defeated Raven (USWF) Time: 5:45 This rematch of the 2111 Titan Challenge main event was another terrific battle. Thunder got the pin after a flying gutbuster.
USWF Tag Team Champions Theater of Pain defeated GWF Tag Team Champions Alter Ego Time: 4:46 The USWF claimed bragging rights in the tag team ranks as Hyper went down to Comedy’s “Last Laugh.”
GWF Heavyweight Champion Blazing Skull defeated USWF Heavyweight Champion Mayhem Time: 6:59 In a match between two maniacal champions with little respect for rules, Skull scored the victory with a “Death by Fire,” giving the GWF the triumph in the champion versus champion main event for the third straight year.
“Another great event,” GWF Commissioner Morpheus stated after the card. “I want to thank all of the USWF wrestlers for joining us, and I thank USWF Commissioner Grogan and Magnus Colby for helping to put it all together. Now it’s back to business. We’ve got a month left in the year, and I’m sure it will be an exciting one.”

GALACTICADE XVIII SPIKE’S RETURN
GWF HOLDS YEAR-END AWARDS BANQUETThe GWF held its annual year-end awards banquet at Earth’s Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California on December 20, 2113, the night before the Galacticade Supercard. Most of the active GWF wrestlers, managers, and officials were present. Also attending were former GWF stars Omega, Raven, Killer Queen, Kati, the Incredible Badger, Bounty Hunter, Iron Mane, Quasar, and others, as well as GWWF Commissioner Sandrisa Tralington, USWF Commissioner Grogan, and USWF Majority Owner Magnus Colby. Commissioner Morpheus opened the event by welcoming the attendees and acknowledging Omega, Grogan, Tralington, and Colby. He then presented the following awards: Wrestler of the Year: Archon and Blazing SkullThe federation’s top award was shared by two wrestlers for the first time since 2102, when Janus and Pegasus were co-winners. Archon held the GWF Heavyweight Title from the beginning of the year until mid-July, then won it back in August and held it for another two months. Skull is the current GWF Heavyweight Champion, held the Special Matches Title for a record-setting nine months, and had an outstanding 34-17 record going into Galacticade. Runners-up: 1. Max Shield (Led the Rocketmen to victory in the War Games and was the only wrestler in the federation to win 40 matches with a 40-18 record); 2. Terminus (In perhaps his best year, has had an impressive reign as Interplanetary Champion since September and complied a 35-14 record); 3. Mensar (A dominant force all year with a 37-15 record and carried the Takeover team throughout the War Games). Tag Team of the Year: Twin BloodDreggs and Sleeze won the tag team belts twice during the year and had a terrific 34-15 record. Runners-up: 1. Desolation Factor (A long reign as War Games Tag Team Champions and a strong force all year with a 32-27 record); 2. The Ravagers (Won the Galaxy Cup Tag Team Tournament in January and had a strong 30-20 record); 3.) Predator and Wrath (Had an excellent 36-30 record but chose not to challenge their friends Twin Blood for the tag titles). Top Newcomer: AvalancheA top contender for the Interplanetary Title and will challenge for the Special Matches Belt at Galacticade. Runner-up: Atman (An up and down year but some fine moments, especially in his feud with Vengeance). When the awards were finished, Morpheus paused and looked around the room before continuing. “Now we have a special announcement,” he said. “But I’m not the one to make it. Let me welcome back to the GWF a hall of famer and legend—Spike!” The Aethran powerhouse walked out onto the stage. He looked somewhat older than he had when he had left the GWF a month earlier at the end of the War Games, and he certainly did not seem the rejuvenated superstar he had been earlier in the year. He took the microphone and gazed around the room at the audience. “Yeah, I know, I look different,” Spike stated flatly. “Why deny it now? At the beginning of the year, I paid Doomsayer to give me a short blast of the Transrevolver. That allowed me to return to my old self briefly. The effects are worn off now, but I accomplished what I needed to. “Most everybody knows that I’ve been trying for the last couple of years to convince everyone on Aethra that Vengeance is responsible for Massacre’s murder. Unfortunately, no one seems to care. But the good news is that Vengeance has done himself in. His men were embarrassed in the Ultimate Escape Match at Warrior Village Warfare. They finished near the bottom of the War Games. They haven’t done anything worth talking about for years. The Aethran High Command may not care about Massacre’s murder, but they do care about Aethran success, and Vengeance has not shown them much.” Vengeance stood up in the audience and shouted at Spike, “What do you think you’re saying, you idiot? I’m the Minister of War. I’ll have you hanged.” “You’ll do nothing,” Spike smiled. “You’re finished. The High Command is sick of you and your failures. Starting now, you are relieved of power. I have the papers to prove it. Better yet, the High Command has named your replacement: me! As well as being the new Minister of War, I am now in charge of all Aethran forces in the GWF.” Vengeance’s face grew red, and he stared at Spike in fury. He looked around at each of his gladiator teammates, but all of them simply glared back, leaving no doubt that their loyalty would go where the High Command directed it. “Now, I want you out of here!” Spike snapped. “If I see you at the supercard tomorrow, you’ll be sorry. But I’m not through with you. I’ll still see you punished for killing Massacre.” “You’ll regret this,” Vengeance shrieked. “I’ll be back, and I’ll take you out however I have to. I’ll take back my position, and you’ll be the one who suffers.” Spike laughed. “You’re a toothless dog, Vengeance,” the gladiator legend smiled. “You have no political power now, and you’re too over the hill to do anything physical yourself. Now, get out of my sight.” With an animalistic cry, Vengeance turned and strode angrily out of the room. Spike then continued speaking. “As you all know, my teammates in the Aethran Rebels are scheduled to fight the Gladiators in an Ultimate Escape Match tomorrow on the supercard,” he said. “Now that I'm aligned with both teams, there’s really no reason for the fight to take place. But I say let’s let it go on anyway. It won’t be a blood feud anymore, but it’ll be a good workout for everyone. So tomorrow, Predator, Wrath, and Disaster will face Malice, Overkill, and Venom in the cage, and may the best team win. When it’s over, we’ll all walk out together and come back next year as the strongest Gladiator team yet.” GALACTICADE XVIII SUPERCARDThe GWF’s annual year-ending Galacticade supercard took place at Earth’s Los Angeles Sports Arena on December 21, 2113 before a huge crowd of over 80,000 spectators. Numerous former GWF superstars and other notable wrestling figures attended, including USWF Commissioner Grogan, DSCW Commissioner Phantast, GWWF Commissioner Sandrisa Tralington, “Trainer” Jim Powell, Kati, Omega, Raven, Killer Queen, Phantasy, The Troubleshooters, Supernova, Lance At-Las, and the Matador of M83. Card Results were as follows: The Draconian Sheik defeated AtmanTime: 6:44 In an excellent opening match, the Sheik finished off one of his better years by winning with a “Draconian Backbreaker.” Murdok and Paragon fought to a double DQTime: 4:40 The two powerhouses were engaged in a good match until they were both disqualified in a brawl on the arena floor. Light Heavyweight Championship MatchChad Hillsman (c) defeated EnigmaTime: 5:56 The challenger was seen by most as the favorite entering this match, but Hillsman scored with a “Stars and Bars” to retain his title in a high-flying affair. Stars & Stripes defeated Cygnus RisingTime: 5:18 In perhaps their best performance of the year, Stars & Stripes dominated the big men from Cygnus until American Guy finished off Sekada with a “Peacemaker Slingshot.” Vyper defeated EuritarTime: 6:51 This was an excellent performance for both wrestlers and a very even match. Euritar came close to putting his opponent away, but Vyper fought back and got the win with a “Leviathan.” Encubus defeated PegasusTime: 7:45 The latest installment in this growing rivalry was an outstanding battle that ended when Encubus hit the “Satanic Skull Smasher.” “This was the kind of performance we need,” Thantos commented when asked about his son’s victory. “This is what you will come to expect from Encubus. He handled the great Pegasus, and hes on his way up in this federation. There’s gold in his future next year.” Scion Nexus defeated MensarTime: 3:47 Nexus stunned the big man with a deathjump to pull off a surprisingly quick upset. The Ravagers defeated Desolation FactorTime: 5:31 The Ravagers had control for much of the contest and had little trouble with the big men from Dimension X. However, the most surprising moment of the match came when Mangus came to ringside and attacked the Ravagers’ manager Vertigo from behind. The Ravagers did nothing to protect Vertigo, calmly finishing the match in the ring as Rack went down to a “Ravager Face Drop.” Ventross and Rankor then walked away from ringside with Mangus at their side. “We need a change,” Ventross noted when asked to explain his team’s actions. “Vertigo likes to play by the rules too much. We tried it his way, and after three years we still ain’t been the champions. Mangus made us an offer for next year. With his help, we’re gonna own the tag belts for a long time.” Earth Ladder Match for Special Matches TitleAvalanche defeated Wolf (c)Time: 7:22 This contest was a physical match in which Avalanche put in a surprisingly good showing. Still, Wolf appeared to have the match won as Avalanche was down in the ring and the Animan climbed the ladder to retrieve the belt. At the last second, Avalanche managed to push the ladder. Wolf lost his grip on the belt just as he tried to grab it, and the belt fell directly into the hands of the prone Avalanche, giving him the victory and his first title in the GWF. Titan Hardcore MatchBloodline defeated Rising SunTime: 6:27 In another outstanding battle, Bloodline overcame the Titan’s best shots and got the win with a “Cosmic Big Bang.” During the match, Krakan came out and watched the action from a distance. “Two for two,” Thantos crowed after the match. “First Encubus, now Bloodline, both with wins against former champions. Watch out next year. My team is ready to break out in a major way.” Cosmic Cage MatchCorporal Aegis defeated MaelstromTime: 5:28 In the latest installment of the ongoing war between the protégés of Mangus and Commander Sam, Aegis picked up the win after a brutal fight with a “Corporal Punishment.” Total Anarchy MatchArchon defeated AnarchyTime: 8:35 In one of the bloodiest and most brutal contests in recent GWF history, Archon outlasted his opponent from Brymstone when Anarchy stepped on a mine outside the ring. Both wrestlers were drenched with blood and were helped from the ringside area after the conclusion of the match. Aethran Ultimate Escape MatchMalice, Overkill, and Venom defeated Predator, Wrath, and DisasterTime: 4:50 This match turned into a beatdown from the opening bell when, with Spike and Brute watching from outside the cage, Disaster turned on his teammates and joined the other Gladiators in pounding Predator and Wrath down in a four-on-two assault. The beating might have lasted longer, but Wolf and his son Lycanthrope ran to ringside and attempted to climb into the cage to help the victims. Seeing the Animen attempting to interfere, the Aethrans climbed out of the cage and left Predator and Wrath half-conscious and bloodied in the ring to win the match. “This was not personal against Predator and Wrath,” Spike explained after the match. “They helped me against Vengeance this year, and I appreciate it. But the Gladiators needed to make a statement. From now on, it’s back to the old headbanging ways. I’m in charge, Vengeance is gone, and Aethra will soon be back on top of the GWF.” Interplanetary Championship MatchTerminus (c) defeated Max ShieldTime: 6:44 Shield’s attempt to regain the title he has held seven previous times fell short in a tough contest as Terminus fought off a furious onslaught and won the match with a “Hammerlock Slam.” Scorpi King of the Ring MatchMandrill defeated Code Enforcer ManslaughterTime: 9:49 Yet another long-standing rivalry was on display in this battle as the two big men pounded each other all over the ring, but Mandrill managed to finish off his powerhouse opponent and throw him to the floor for the victory. GWF Tag Team Championship MatchTwin Blood defeated Alter Ego (c)Time: 2:22 The brothers from Maxus made short work of the champions in regaining the tag team belts. Sleeze put down Hyper early and immediately set him up for a “Twice Bitten.” Genocide made no attempt to stop the pin, and after the bell the monster dropped to the floor and walked away alone, leaving his partner in the ring. “Nah, I didn’t throw the match,” Genocide smiled when approached for an interview. “I just didn’t try to save it. Hyper got pinned all by himself, like the loser he is. The year is over, my contract with Doomsayer is up, and I’m done with that little rat Hyper. Twin Blood can have the tag belts. I got bigger things in mind for next year now that I’m free.” GWF Heavyweight Championship MatchBlazing Skull defeated Thunder (c)Time: 7:21 Thunder gave the champion a great match, but the tide turned when the referee was knocked down in an accidental collision with Blazing Skull as Thunder whipped Skull into the turnbuckle. While Thunder tried to revive the referee, Skull blasted him from behind with a chair and then threw a “Death By Fire” in the challenger’s face before rolling him up for the pin. “One more goes down,” Skull bragged after the match. “Is everyone who doubted whether I could be a champion convinced now? I’ve taken down Archon. I’ve beaten Mensar and Mandrill. Now Thunder has gone down. No one has been able to take this belt from me, and I plan to keep it that way. This year has been my greatest ever. Just wait for next year. Things will be better yet.”

Really cool seeing the Rocketmen as repeat War Games Champions, like seeing Avalanche over Wolf for the Special Matches Title, a very excellent run of events...

GALAXY CUP 2114 The GWF began its 2114 year with the annual Galaxy Cup festivities on January 16 to 21. The Galaxy Cup event includes tournaments for singles and tag team wrestlers as well as the year-opening press conferences for each of the federation’s teams. Commissioner Morpheus began the day on January 16 with his own press conference, welcoming the media and fans back to the GWF for another year. Several observers noted that the commissioner appeared slightly pale and seemed to have lost weight over the year-end break.
Each GWF team then held its press conference over the course of the next two days. Highlights from the team press conferences were as follows: A SURPRISE FOR THE GLADIATORS The first press team conference of the year was also the most anticipated. After the actions of the Aethrans at GWF awards banquet and the Galacticade supercard in December, at which Spike returned and deposed Vengeance as Minister of War and Disaster turned on his teammates Wrath and Predator in the ring, the wrestling world waited to see what would come next. Spike led his team onto the stage, followed by Brute, Thunder, Disaster, Venom, Overkill, and Malice.
“Finally we’re all back on the same page,” Spike began. “Vengeance is gone. I’m back. Our forces are no longer divided. A new era of Aethran domination is about to begin.”
From offstage a familiar voice interrupted Spike. “Before that happens, you’ve got some explaining to do,” said Wolf as he marched onto the stage, followed by the two half-Aethran brothers Predator and Wrath. “You suckered us. We were supposed to be teammates. I wanna know why.”
“Wolf, you know as well as anyone about making a statement,” Spike answered. “It was nothing personal. I have no problem with you, Predator, or Wrath. But I am in charge of the Gladiators now, and the high command is not fond of any of you three. We did what needed to be done.”
“Yeah, well, you may not think you got a problem with us, but you may be wrong,” Wolf snapped. “After the crap you pulled at Galacticade, we got a problem with you.”
Brute, who had managed Wolf, Wrath, and Predator along with Spike and Disaster in 2113, spoke up. “Walk away, Wolf,” the hulking Aethran said. “You can’t win here. You’re outnumbered.”
“Not as much as you think,” snapped another offstage voice. To everyone’s surprise, Bounty Hunter, who had spent the past twelve years working as a referee in the GWF and USWF, walked out onto the stage. Behind him came a younger man, slightly smaller than Bounty Hunter but still powerfully built, with hungry, intense eyes. “I’m back, and I’ll be in the corner to help these men against you. And I brought more help. This is my protégé, Kill Prey. He’s a match for any of you, as you’ll find out soon.”
“I doubt it,” Thunder sneered. “He looks like just another punk to me. But as far as wrestlers, it’s still five to four in our favor.”
Thunder was interrupted by an offstage howl. Out strode Lycanthrope, the son of Wolf who had been a major star in the United Stars Wrestling Federation for the past several years.
“As you can see, we got that covered,” Wolf smiled. “My son is here to help us. The sides are even. In thanks to Bounty Hunter for helping us, we're gonna call our team ‘The Hunters.’ And before the end of this year, you’ll be sorry you ever heard of us.”
TAKEOVER ADDS A NEW MEMBER Cordanus led his takeover team out onto the stage, with Mensar, Rack, and Ruin following behind him. “Last year we made great progress,” Cordanus bragged. “We nearly won the War Games, Mensar became a major force in this federation, and I get better all the time. And now, we’ve added another fine member to our team. Welcome, to Takeover—Euritar!”
Euritar walked out of the stage wings and shook hands with Mensar and Cordanus. “Sorry, Thantos,” he said. "I got a better offer. I’ll bring the speed, these three big men behind me have the power, and Cordanus has the brains. We’re going to rule this federation this year.”
TROUBLE FOR THE TITANS—AND MILITIA TOO Lord Nexus entered the Deimos Press Room with a concerned look on his face. Scion Nexus, Blade, and Ursa Major entered behind him. “The Titans are ready to move up this year,” Lord Nexus stated. “Scion Nexus has become a major star, Blade is improving every year, and Ursa Major provides the experience. But I am concerned about Rising Sun. I haven’t heard from him in weeks. I expected him to be here with us today, but I don’t know . . .”
The Titan leader was interrupted by the familiar sound of machine gun fire as Krakan stepped out of the stage wings. Behind him came Mike Fortune and a short but massive individual with head bumps similar to those on Krakan’s own skull.
“I’ll tell you where Rising Sun is,” Krakan grinned evilly. “There is no Rising Sun. He’s dead. Now there is only . . . Eclipse!”
Onto the stage walked the wrestler who had been known as Rising Sun, but he was now dressed in black and sported a new goatee. With a sneer on his face, he moved to stand beside Krakan.
“This can’t be true,” Nexus stammered. “Rising Sun, how could you . . . ?”
“I told you, there is no more Rising Sun,” Krakan snapped, still smiling. “This is Eclipse, and he got sick of being pushed aside in favor of your worthless boy there. And I also want to introduce Tanck, the galaxy’s strongest man, who will also be joining us. As soon as Assassin X arrives, my Deadly Militia will be the strongest team in the federation.”
“Oh, I’ve arrived,” said a voice from the audience. To the surprise of all onlookers, including those on stage, the masked Assassin X climbed onto the stage, “But I have news for you: I want nothing to do with your new team. I’ve seen how you cast aside the Mercenaries, and Dark Justice, and Splatter. I don’t trust you, and I’m not working with you anymore.”
“You’re making a mistake,” snarled Krakan, his grin now gone as he faced the prospect of losing one of the most promising young wrestlers in the federation. “What will you do, join the worthless Titans?”
“I’m joining no one,” Assassin X answered. “For now, I’ll work on my own. But if I do decide to join a team, it won't be yours. You can have your Eclipse and Tanck. I’m done with you, and if you think I can’t stand on my own, you’ll be in for a surprise.”
ADDITIONAL ROSTER MOVES FOR 2114 Other roster moves announced at the team press conferences were as follows: 1. Manslaughter has decided to remove his mask and go by his given name, Atys Tetrac. He will leave the Avenging Warriors and join the FDF. 2. Light heavyweight champion Chad Hillsman has left the FDF and the GWF, abandoning his title. 3.
