GALACTICADE XIX

ANOTHER SURPRISE FOR MANDRILL

The nineteenth edition of the GWF’s annual year-ending Galacticade supercard took place at Earth’s Los Angeles Sports Arena on December 20, 2114 before a crowd of over 82,000 spectators. A host of former GWF superstars and other notable wrestling figures attended, including USWF Commissioner Grogan, GWWF Commissioner Sandrisa Tralington, USWF Majority Owner Magnus Colby, “Trainer” Jim Powell, Torin Caelum, Omega, Raven, Killer Queen, Ram, Mace, Supernova, Lance At-Las, and Paragon. The main event was set to be a Galaxian Heavyweight Championship match between Thunder and Mandrill. Card Results were as follows:

Six-Man Tag Team Match: Star & Stripes and Corporal Aegis defeated Scion Nexus, Blade, and Ursa Major
This contest was essentially an exhibition, as no known issues exist between the two teams. After nine minutes of action involving all six competitors, Aegis pinned Nexus with a "Corporal Punishment" for the win.

Hitman Match: Mike Fortune defeated Maelstrom
Fortune himself put up the bounty in this match to get a shot at his former War Games teammate, who Fortune and Krakan blamed for their poor showing in the Games.  Krakan's former henchman dominated the contest, beating Maelstrom soundly before connecting with the "Hangman" and climbing the pole to claim the bounty.

Cyclopes defeated Enigma
The strongest wrestler in the federation faced perhaps the fastest in this match, but Enigma was not able to avoid the monster's grasp and was squashed with a "Monster Elbow Slam" in just three minutes.

Elemental Fury defeated Predator and Wrath
The first surprise in this match came a minute after the action started when Johnny Rocket marched to the ring and stood in the corner of Elemental Fury. Avalanche and Cyclone looked confused at his arrival, but Rocket coached them throughout the match, which lasted for over fifteen minutes and ended with the second surprise when Avalanche caught Wrath in a "Rocketmen Rack" for the win.

After the match, Avalanche commented on Rocket's presence. "I have no idea what he was doing," the big man said. "We haven't had any connection with him.  But I think he helped us get the win, and that's all that matters. Lorelei is supposed to be our manager, but she's never around anymore. If Rocket wants to work with us, I'm open to the idea."

Slayer defeated Atman
Atman has dominated most matches between these two competitors in 2114, but this time Slayer scored the win with a "Deadly Mission" after Atman was distracted by what seemed to be a large, dark mist that materialized beside the ring. The mist dissipated after Slayer got the win.

Vyper defeated Bloodline
Vyper had one of his better performances of the year in this match, taking Bloodline out in just six minites with a "Vyper's Sideshow."

Nightmare Matrix Match for the Special Matches Title:  Assassin X (champion) vs. Hyper
This contest contained the usual confusion of the Nightmare Matrix, but Assassin X fought through it to retain his title with an "AX Bomber."

The Ravagers and the SWAT Team fought to no contest
This match really never had a chance to happen.  The four rivals gathered in the ring after being introduced, but before the bell could sound Trench and Rankor exchanged a look and then both blindsided their partners, knocking them to the mat and stunning them. Trench dropped out to the floor and pulled two metal rods from under the ring, tossing one to Rankor. Trench and Rankor then beat Warfare and Ventross into near unconsciousness before Corporal Aegis arrived with a chair to chase the attackers away.

Asked for an explanation after the match, Trench smiled.  "Rankor and me still don't like each other.  This was a one time deal," he said."But we both got sick of having partners who tried to control everything and got all the credit.  We're both going back to Centra.  This dimension has been a waste of time for us."

Lepus Stun Rod Match: Max Shield defeated Euritar
Shield has had a sub-par year in 2114, but on this night he was at his best. He and Euritar went back and forth for ten outstanding minutes of action, with both men escaping several near falls, before Shield landed an "Omicron Force" for the win.

Titan Hardcore Match: Diaster defeated Kill Prey
Kill Prey has had a strong rookie year, but he was no match for Disaster this time as he fell to a "Decapitator" in just three minutes.

Cosmic Cage Match: Wolf defeated Terminus
Wolf's recent hot streak continued as he picked up his sixth straight win by blasting Terminus with a "Howling Moonsault."

Twin Blood defeated Malice and Overkill
These two teams of long-time enemies put on a great show, with ten minutes of solid action before Malice went down to a "Twice Bitten."

Interplanetary Title Match: Eclipse (champion) vs. Blazing Skull 
Skull put up a good fight, but Eclipse continued his outstanding year by taking down the challenger with a "Chopping Block Exhibit" to retain his belt.

After the match, Blazing Skull spoke to an interviewer.  "This is fine," he said. "The belt I really want back is the heavyweight title, and I'm going to take it from Thunder next year.  And it will be from Thunder, because Mandrill will not win the title tonight.  I'll make sure of that myself if I have to."

Flamsteed Street Fight:  Archon defeated Anarchy
This match was as violent as one might expect.  The two wrestlers brawled all over the arena, but Archon maintained a clear advantage for most of the nine minutes that the contest lasted, and Anarchy was covered in his own blood when Archon finally blasted him with a trash can on the arena floor and pinned him to end the match.

Mensa Table Match:  Genocide defeated Mensar
The two powerhouses engaged in a brutal fight. Mensar put Genocide through all three tables but was unable to finish him off, and Genocide came back with a "Corpus Genocide" for the win.

GWF Tag Team Titles: Desolation Factor (champions) vs. Rebel Empire
The monsters from Dimension X held on to their tag team belts in a seven minute match as Ruin blasted Nefarus with a "Mortal Agony" for the win.

Galaxian Heavyweight Championship: Thunder (champion) vs. Mandrill
Mandrill got his opportunity to regain the Galaxian Heavyweight Belt, but he seemed distracted throughout the match, and Thunder controlled most of the action before connecting with a "Thunder Moonsault" for the win.

After the final bell, Thunder celebrated briefly and then walked away from the ring with his manager, Brute.  A stunned Mandrill stayed in the ring longer, and, as might have been expected, the Brymstone Burning team soon arrived. Minotaur and Antak quickly ran down and slid into the ring to defend Mandrill, but Blazing Skull, Slayer, Cyclopes, Turge, and Anarchy, with Anarchy still looked very shaken by the beating he took in his loss to Archon, surrounded the ring and grinned sadistically. Then, before the Brymstone team could attack, an unexpected interloper jumped out of the crowd and entered the ring, a large club in his hand: Ram, the long-time Animan star and one-time bodyguard for Mandrill. Seeing that their odds had diminished and that Anarchy was in no real shape to attack, Blazing Skull and his teammates backed angrily away and disappeared into the locker room area.

Mandrill glared at Ram. "What do you want?" he asked sharply.

"Father!" shouted Minotaur joyfully.

Ram scowled. "Boy, call me that again and I'll break your head," he growled.  "I'm no relation to you, and we both know it."  Turning to Mandrill, he continued.  "As for what I want, I want to know if you really thought you were going to be able to claim to restart the Animen of Andromeda. Me and Badger bled for that name. Iron Mane too. Even Reptillo. Now you think you can just claim it for your own?"

Mandrill scowled, saying nothing. "Well, that ain't happening," Ram said. Then he continued:

"At least, not without me."

Now Mandrill's scowl faded to a puzzled look. "What are you saying?" he asked. "You think you can wrestle again?"

"Nah, not that," Ram shook his head. "Though I could still slap down a lot of the punks in this federation. I'm done wrestling. But you and me worked together before. I might be willing to back you up again.  And these two," he added as he motioned to Antak and Minotaur "need coaching. You don't know nothing about tag team wrestling. I know more than just about anyone.  I can help them, and you.  So what do you say? Are the Animen back?"

Now Mandrill smiled.  "The Animen are back," he said. "I'll admit I can use your help. Let's see how far we can take this team next year."

The four Animen left the ring together. The Animen of Andromeda had been reformed, and only 2115 could tell what would come next for them.

GALAXY CUP 2115
Year-Opening Press Conferences

The 2115 GWF year began with the annual Galaxy Cup festivities from January 15 to 21 on Deimos. The Galaxy Cup event includes tournaments for all singles and tag team wrestlers as well as the opportunity to hold press conferences for each of the federation’s teams.

On January 15, Commissioner Morpheus kicked off the Galaxy Cup with his own press conference. As he had the previous year, the commissioner appeared paler and thinner than he had just a few years earlier.  He also coughed occasionally as he welcomed the fans and the press corps back for another GWF year.

"I have an announcement regarding Blazing Skull," the commissioner noted as a part of his remarks.  "As you all know, Skull was responsible for the terrible burning of the young Aethran Heathen toward the end of last year.  We still do not know whether the damage done to Heathen was intentional, but we do know, based on past experience, that Skull's blasts of fire can cripple or kill another wrester.  Therefore, until further notice, Blazing Skull's "Death By Fire" finisher is banned.  If Skull uses this move again, either in a match or in any other circumstance, he will be banned from the GWF for life." 

Most GWF teams then took part in press conferences over the course of January 15 and 16. Highlights from the team press conferences were as follows:

BRYMSTONE BURNING TARGETED AT OPENING PRESS CONFERENCE
The first major press conference began with the Brymstone Burning team on stage, but by the time it ended the Brymstonians were far from alone. Blazing Skull acted as team spokesman. He was joined on stage by Anarchy, Cyclopes, and Turge.  

"So Morpheus wants to ban 'Death by Fire'?" Skull snarled. "We'll see how that long that holds up. But for now, fine. I'll play along. I don't need 'Death by Fire.' And we also don't need Slayer, who has told us he is joining another team this year.  So be it. We have all the 'firepower' we need with me, Anarchy, and the Creatures of Lamia.  And . . ."

"And you're in for the fight of your life," said a voice from offstage.  Out marched Mandrill, accompanied by Antak, Minotaur, Ram, and a strange newcomer who looked to be part bee.  "I've got backup now. Your days are numbered. Meet our new teammate, Swarm.  With Ram watching our backs, the Animen of Andromeda will crush you."

"Monkey-boy, you just signed your own death warrant," Skull snapped. "Haven't we beaten you down enough?  But this is fine.  We'll enjoy crushing you. You interrupted me.  I wasn't done introducing our team.  Meet our fifth member for this year:  Vengeance!"

The former Aethran Minister of War walked out on stage, a sinister grin on his face. "Yes, I'm back, and proud to be on a team worthy of me," he said. "Mandrlll, you're outnumbered as always.  I'll enjoy helping Skull take you out."

"Not likely," Mandrill replied.  "We saved a surprise too. There's one more Animan in the GWF."

A howl broke out offstage.  Out strode Wolf, who stepped forward and took his place beside the Prime Colonizer.

"I ain't never liked Mandrill," Wolf said. "But Ram and me are old friends, and he convinced me to join up.  If I get to beat up on Vengeance, that's even better."

Just as the two teams appeared ready to square off, the Aethan War Anthem rang out.  Onto the stage marched Thunder, Disaster, Malice, Overkill, and Brute.

"We were coming after Brymstone Burning anyway for what Skull did to Heathen," Brute said. "But this is an even better reason. If you're sick enough to team up with the traitor Vengeance, then we're really going to come after you full force."

Brute had barely finished speaking when another voice broke in.  "Good. Let Skull and his buddies distract you," said Bounty Hunter as he marched in, followed by Kill Prey, Vyper, Wrath, and Predator. "But don't forget about us. Vyper has agreed to join the Hunters to replace Wolf, and we're coming for the Gladiators as hard as ever."

The situation appeared ready to explode, but Commissioner Morpheus quickly sent in a large security force to clear the stage.  All four teams walked away for the moment, but the exchange at this press conference promised a violent and exciting year to come.

GODSEND ENTERS THE GWF
A new entry to the GWF, a tall, handsome wrestler named Godsend, called the next press conference.  He was joined on stage by a massive, bloated wrestler and a dark form that looked like the shape that had appeared at ringside when Slayer defeated Atman at the Galacticade supercard in December. Slayer also entered with the team.

"My plan, originally, was to come our here and tell you that I have come to save the GWF," Godsend began. "But, since Slayer has joined us, I doubt you would believe me.  So I will be honest.  All of us here on stage are what you would call demons, from another plane of existence called the Fourth Realm, or in my case an even lower world, the Fifth Realm. Along with Slayer, my friends are Petarra and Nightmare.  We are here to destroy everything, beginning with this federation. And to help us, I have found a manager who knows the wrestling business and can help us. Most of you will recognize him. Welcome, Mesmer!"

Mesmer, the former GWF star, walked out onto the stage with a smile.  Before he could speak, however, the press conference was interrupted by the appearance of Phantast.

"I heard you were coming--all of you," Phantast said. "So I've prepared a surprise for you. Meet 'The Protectors of the Realms,' the team that is going to stop you at every turn.

Phantast was joined on stage by Atman, Corporal Aegis, Warfare, and Ventross.  "Most of the other Centrans have returned to their own dimension," Phantast continued, "but these three wanted to stay. Along with Atman, they're ready for anything you can throw at them."

PEGASUS FORMS HIS OWN TEAM
"Star Warrior betrayed me," Pegasus began as he stood alone on the stage. "After all of those years I spent with the Defenders of the Galaxy, he decided to just disband the team and walk away without even telling me first.  Well, I don't need him.  Meet the newest superteam in the GWF, 'Project Pegasus.'"

Now Pegasus was joined on stage by Mike Fortune, Tanck, Nefarus, and Vendetta.  "We're the biggest, strongest team in the GWF," Pegasus continued. "We will crush everyone. We're still looking for a manager, and when we find one, there will be no stopping us."

Other notes from the press conferences:
1. Johnny Rocket has signed Elemental Fury to join the Rocketmen.  Dreggs will wrestle in singles competition.
2. Assassin X has joined the Fighting Titans as a regular member after being a member of the Titans' War Games team in 2114.
3. Team Thantos has signed Genocide and Eclipse to join Encubus and Bloodline, who will wrestle as a tag team.
4. A new wrestler, Tauran, has entered the GWF as an independent.

GALAXY CUP TOURNAMENTS 2115

Each GWF year begins with the Galaxy Cup Tournaments at the Deimos Intergalactic Arena. All active wrestlers compete in the singles tournament, while the tag team tournament includes any team interested in entering. After the first two rounds of each tournament, all matches are fought with no disqualifications or count outs. The winners of each tournament are guaranteed title shots at the annual Galactic War Supercard.  The 2115 singles tournament took place on January 17-18 and featured 61 wrestlers, the lowest number in many years.  The tag team tournament was held on January 20 and included just sixteen teams, again a low compared to the recent past.

Round One Notes:  This year's round one featured a number of outstanding matches but not as many upsets as usual. The biggest surprises were Overkill knocking off Pegasus and Ruin defeating Wolf with a stunning comeback from a terrible beating in one of the best matches of the round. Other excellent contests were Anarchy's narrow win over Swarm in Swarm's debut, Vengeance's tough win over Avalanche, and Moonstorm's defeat of Bloodline. Turge also put up a surprisingly good fight against Disaster.  Finally, the new manager for the Project Pegasus team was revealed when Reynard B. Guile accompanied Pegasus to the ring for his match.

Round Two Notes: The best match of this round was Genocide's win over Godsend, as the two put on a twenty minute brawl before the end came for the newcomer.  Other outstanding matches included Thunder defeating Rack, Warfare with a big comeback victory over Nightmare, Vengeance's win over Euritar, and Scion Nexus with a close, hard-fought victory over Kill Prey.

Singles Tournament Quarterfinals
Thunder defeated Warfare with a diving choke slam. Thunder took a terrific beating and suffered a minor injury before coming back for the win.
Genocide defeated Atman in a dominant performance.
Scion Nexus upset Interplanetary Champion and arch-rival Eclipse with a Nexus Neckbreaker. The two continued to brawl after the final bell.
Ventross defeated Disaster with a deathjump in an excellent back-and-forth match between two powerhouses.

Singles Tournament Semi-Finals
Galaxian Heavyweight Champion Thunder, fighting despite an injury suffered in the previous round, reached the Galaxy Cup finals for the second time in four years by defeating Genocide with "the Tempest."

Scion Nexus defeated 2113 Galaxy Cup Singles Tournament Winner Ventross with "The Apex" to reach the finals for the first time in his career.

Singles Tournament Final:  Thunder vs. Scion Nexus
Thunder took an early advantage, but Scion Nexus survived "the Tempest" twice and then followed up a missed turnbuckle charge by Thunder with "The Apex" to win the tournament for the first time.  Thunder thus lost in the finals for the second time, the first having come in 2111.

Round One Notes: The biggest upset of round one was the victory by Blacklist over the Gladiators. Cordanus never tagged into the match as Mensar won it on his own. The battle of Wrath and Predator against Ventross and Warfare was outstanding.  The double disqualification of Anarchy and Blazing Skull against the Animen was clearly just the beginning of what will be a long war.  In 2114 Hyper and Sir Ender actually reached the tournament final with Hyper doing all of the wrestling, but this year Hyper and Crush went down quickly.

The Creatures of Lamia stunned 2114 Galaxy Cup Tag Team Tournament Winners Predator and Wrath when Cyclopes pinned Predator with a "Monster Elbow Slam."

Blacklist defeated The Great Evil when Mensar pinned Nightmare with a "Wrecking Machine."

Tag Team Tournament Final: The Creatures of Lamia vs. Blacklist
In truth, the finals were a singles match between Cyclopes and Mensar, with Cyclopes taking the win with a "Unmovable Object" to give the Creatures the Galaxy Cup Tag Team Tournament crown for the first time. Neither Turge nor Cordanus ever tagged into a match during the tournament, and thus Cyclopes actually earned the championship on his own.

GALACTIC WAR 2115

Multiple Titles Change Hands

The first regular supercard of each GWF year is Galactic War, which has taken place annually since 2090. In its beginnings the event was held at the Alpha Centauri Colonnade, but starting in 2100 it moved to Jupiter’s huge Io Coliseum. Galactic War 2115 took place on February 18 in front of a crowd of over 115,000.

Each year at Galactic War, the winners of the Galaxy Cup Singles and Tag Team Tournaments that open the year are granted automatic shots at their respective belts. For the 2115 card, Galaxy Cup Singles Tournament Winner Scion Nexus was scheduled to face Galaxian Heavyweight Champion Thunder in the main event, and Galaxy Cup Tag Team Tournament Champions The Creatures of Lamia were set to meet GWF Tag Team Champions Desolation Factor. In other major matches, Interplanetary Champion Eclipse was challenged by the man he defeated for the title months earlier, Euritar, while in an elimination tag team match Blazing Skull, Anarchy, and Vengeance were to square off against Mandrill, Wolf, and the rookie Swarm. Complete results of the card were as follows:

The Great Evil defeated Animan Invasion
The Animen fought well, with Nightmare taking a terrible beating, but they were still unable to claim their first win of the year as Nightmare came back to roll up Antak when Antak missed a turnbuckle charge.

Tanck defeated Corporal Aegis
Tanck simply overwhelmed Aegis with his superior strength and won the match with a Camel Clutch.

Nightmare Matrix Match:  Wraith defeated Vyper
Vyper was in control of the match until the Matrix kicked in and sent both wrestlers spinning dizzily to the mat.  Wraith recovered first and landed the "Phantom Jackhamer" for the win.

Cosmic Cage Match: Warfare defeated the Draconian Sheik
Warfare handled the Sheik with little problem in this contest.

Next Generation defeated Elemental Fury

Pegasus defeated Moonstorm
Pegasus fought through a good effort by Moonstorm and avenged a recent defeat at the hands of the young Titan when he scored the pin with a "Pegasus Press Slam."

Between matches, Mandrill spoke to an interviewer about the upcoming elimination tag team match between Brymstone Burning and the Animen of Andromeda. "This is just the beginning," the Prime Colonizer said. "I have a lot to pay Skull and Anarchy back for. And Vengeance is going to regret getting involved in this. Wolf can't wait to get his hands in that slime. We're going to destroy them, tonight and over and over again all year."
 
Atman defeated Slayer
Atman evened the score for his loss to Slayer at the Galacticade supercard two months earlier when he hit with a backward head slam.

Falls Count Anywhere Match: Max Shield defeated Hyper
Shield controlled this contest, but Hyper survived the "Omicron Force" three times before Shield finally pinned him in the ring after hitting his finisher for a fourth time.

Rebel Empire defeated Titan Honor with Massif as the special referee
This match was over almost before it began as Blade quickly fell to a "Colonizer Dropkick."

Circinus Cell Match: Kill Prey defeated Disaster
This contest was a tough back-and-forth battle, but Kill Prey claimed the win after ten hard minutes with an "Ambush."

Between matches, Predator spoke to an interviewer about the upcoming Titan Hardcore Match in which he and his half-brother Wrath would face Malice and Overkill. "Fighting those two never gets old for us," Predator said. "They can't stand us, and we return the feeling completely. Malice has always just been a sick guy, all the way back to when we were fighting in the USWF a dozen years ago, and Overkill is a goon.  But we have to admit that they are great wrestlers.  No one challenges us like they do. So we'll go at it again tonight, this time with no rules, and they'd better come ready for a war."

Centra Coffin Match: Godsend defeated Ventross
In the most brutal match of the evening, Godsend beat Ventross until he was a bloody mess, but the big Ravager simply refused to quit and managed to come back to inflict considerable damage on Godsend before finally being thrown out of the ring.  Godsend is expected to miss the next two GWF cards, while Ventross is likely to be out of action for a month or more.

Interplanetary Title Match:  Eclipse (champion) vs. Euritar
Eclipse has been outstanding in 2115, but on this night Euritar matched him move for move.  The two battled for twelve outstanding minutes before Euritar finally landed a "Heads Will Roll" and pinned the champion to win the Interplanetary belt for the third time in his career.

Elimination Tag Team Match: Vengeance, Blazing Skull, and Anarchy defeated Swarm, Wolf, and Mandrill
Mandrill and Anarchy opened the match, with the Prime Colonizer beating Anarchy down before tagging in Wolf. However, Anarchy finally made the tag to Blazing Skull, who pinned Wolf for the first elimination. Swarm then came in and fought well against Vengeance, but Anarchy came back into the match and Swarm ended up being eliminated by disqualification.  Mandrill then put on a terrific performance, standing in alone against all three members of the Brymstone team for over fifteen minutes before finally going down against Blazing Skull.

Titan Hardcore Tag Team Match:  Malice and Overkill defeated Predator and Wrath
Battles between these two teams are always wild and brutal, and this one was no exception. The two half-Aethrans fought well and beat Overkill down badly, but the Aethran powerhouse escaped his opponents' finishers multiple times. Malice eventually tagged back in and dropped Wrath with a "Fields of Malice" for the victory.

Between matches, Eclipse spoke to an interviewer. "So I lost tonight," he sneered.  "That's fine, really.  Let Euritar have the interplanetary belt.  I've had that one six times.  The title I want is the Galaxian Championship, and I don't care if Thunder or Nexus wins tonight, I'm coming after it."

Scorpi King of the Ring Match: Archon defeated  Mensar
This match between two top contenders for the Galaxian Heavyweight Belt was shockingly one-sided, as Archon completely dominated his larger opponent and claimed an impressive win in just seven minutes.

GWF Tag Team Title Match: Desolation Factor (Champions) vs. the Creatures of Lamia
As had happened throughout the Galaxy Cup tournament, Turge let Cyclopes do all of the fighting and never tagged into the match, but this time the evil gnome still managed to play a major role. Desolation Factor twice put down the massive Cyclopes with the "Racked and Ruined" finisher, but each time Turge was able to make a pin save.  As a result, Cyclopes managed to fight back and hit his "Unmovable Object" finisher on Ruin to claim the victory and the tag team belts for his team.  Both Cyclopes and Turge became champions for the first time in their careers.

Galaxian Heavyweight Title Match:  Thunder (Champion) vs. Scion Nexus
Scion Nexus was a two-time former tag team champion with Ursa Major, but he had never won a singles belt coming into this match. However, the Titan star performed on a new level on this evening, manhandling Thunder and twice surviving the interference or distractions of Thunder's manager, Brute. After the referee finally ejected Brute from ringside, Nexus caught the battered champion in a crossface chicken wing and held on to claim the victory and win the heavyweight championship for the first time.

After the bell, the new champion was mobbed by his Titan teammates Ursa Major, Blade, and Moonstorm and by his manager Lord Nexus. But as the Titans celebrated, the entrance music of Eclipse began to play. The former interplantary champion emerged at the top of the entrance ramp, his manager Thantos at his side, and applauded sarcastically, leaving no doubt that he intended to make Nexus' title reign short-lived.

After the card, Phantast, manager of Ventross, spoke to the media. "Yes, Ventross suffered a number of injuries and will be out for a while," he said. "Now you can all see how sadistic Godsend is. But Ventross will be back. This was one fight. Let Godsend enjoy his victory tonight, because whether it's Ventross, Atman, Warfare, or Aegis, we're going to take him down soon."

Mandrill also commented on his team's loss to Brymstone Burning.  "That did not go as planned," he said.  "But this is far from over.  We had a bad night. Wolf slipped up. Swarm is new to this environment. Next time we'll be ready for them.  I don't care whether we take them out all at once or one at a time, but mark my words, they will go down."

Finally, Scion Nexus commented on his victory.  "This feels great," the new champion said. "I've waited a long time to hold this belt. Now if Eclipse wants to try to take it from me, let him try. We've fought before, plenty of times, and he might want to remember that it was me who put him out of action for a few months last year before he comes back for more. I'm sure Thunder will want a rematch too, and I have no doubt that I'll be hearing from Mensar, Mandrill, Blazing Skull, and others. Let them come. I worked hard for this belt, and I will not give it up easily."
