Card #1 - 1/1/25 Monday Night Mayhem Phobos Sundome, Mars With Deimos Perennial just six days away, the first Holovision broadcast of the new year kicked off with a video package, highlighting how we got to tonight and the uncertainty surrounding the Universal Title match at the Pay-Per-View. We start way back a year ago at the first Monday Night Mayhem of 2114 when Monolith announced that due to competing exclusively against his hated opponent Wolf over the course of the year in the Fatal Showdown, and being unable to defend his championship on a regular basis, he would be relinquishing the Universal Title. A stipulation was also added that he would receive a match against whoever the current champion was the following year at Deimos Perennial 2125, so he could “reclaim what was rightfully his”. The video then transitions to a dueling montage of action from the Fatal Showdown and the tournament to determine the new interim Universal Champion, ending with shots of the respective winners, Monolith and the Aethran Overmaster, raising their arms in victory. Suddenly the music halts and we see an explosion, the recent accident involving Monolith on Aethra, and the subsequent chaotic scene that followed, ending with an image of Monolith in the hospital, the sound of a heartbeat being monitored, and a fade to black… The opening to Monday Night Mayhem plays and we have pyro as the sold out crowd at the Phobos Sundome on Mars goes wild. Your announcers tonight are DragonMaster and Johnny Rocket, with Mot and Kram running interview duty… Johnny Rocket: “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the GWF’s flagship program, Monday Night Mayhem. You are being graced by the voice of the hardest-working man in professional wrestling, Johnny Rocket. With me, as always… the GWF Hall of Famer… the legend… DragonMaster!”
DragonMaster: “Thank you Rocket. Folks, we are just days away from the first GWF pay-per-view of the year, the Deimos Perennial, and tonight promises to be interesting to say the least. Commissioner Drury has announced a special ‘State of the GWF Address’ to usher in the new year.”
Johnny Rocket: “That’s right DM! After that press conference earlier today where the Commish introduced his scary new Rogue’s Gallery team, I can’t even imagine how he is going to top that here tonight. Whatever it is, it’s gotta be big!”
DragonMaster: “You’re right about that! And in addition, we are going to find out more about the Infinity Challenge that was announced earlier today on the GWF’s official Universe Wide Web Site! We’ll also run down the complete card for Sunday’s show at the Deimos Intergalactic Arena.”
Johnny Rocket: “On top of all of that, we’re going to bring you some of the high-impact, hard-hitting action that you can’t see anywhere else in the Universe! Normally I’d say two heads are better than one, but not with this guy! Let’s send it down to the ring with my other partner..s in crime, Mot and Kram!” Introduction to the Infinity Challenge Mot and Kram: “Thanks Johnny! In case you didn’t see the breaking news story earlier today, the GWF is about to experience an unprecedented new tournament that will shake the federation to its core! Take a look at… the Infinity Challenge!” A video package begins to play on the giant screen above the entranceway. The backgrounds of Abroz and Dialectas, as well as the Infinity Challenge concept are explained in a voiceover to the fans as action clips of the 22 wrestlers involved in the tournament are shown. The voiceover explains how old alliances will be dissolved and new feuds will be born and the opportunity exists for these men and women to make their mark in the GWF. It promises that the action will be intense as fortune, fame, and pride are all on the line… “Who will win… the Infinity Challenge?” Next, the rules of the Infinity Challenge are outlined and displayed on the screen: - 18 male wrestlers and 4 female wrestlers will compete in the Infinity Challenge
- Each contestant must draft 5 male singles wrestlers, 2 male tag teams and 2 females in a special “draft” that will begin tonight and end at the Deimos Perennial
- Tag teams must be drafted as a single draft pick, but can be any combination of available remaining wrestlers
- Tonight’s portion of the draft will contain three rounds
- Round 1 – Male single, team captain
- Round 2 – Tag team
- Round 3 – Female single
- The remaining draft picks are up to the discretion of the drafter and will be made at Deimos Perennial
- Wrestlers competing in the Infinity Challenge may only compete against other wrestlers in the Infinity Challenge – because of this, Infinity Challenge wrestlers are not eligible to compete for GWF titles and must forfeit any titles they currently hold – due to this rule, the Leaders of the Pack are hereby stripped of the GWF Tag Team Titles
- Special Infinity Challenge titles (Mens, Tag Team and Womens) will be created and the first champions will be determined at Deimos Perennial as tonight’s top draft picks square off – at the end of the Infinity Challenge, the current title holders will be granted title matches against the current GWF title holders
- There will be no outside interference during Infinity Challenge matches and no one is allowed at ringside – failure to comply with this rule will result in immediate suspension without pay
- At the end of the Infinity Challenge, 10,000,000 space credits will be awarded to the winning team, divided amongst team members as follows: 4,000,000 to the male singles wrestler with the most points, 2,000,000 to the second best male singles wrestler, 2,000,000 to the top tag team, 1,000,000 to the top female wrestler with the remaining 1,000,000 split among the rest of the team
- A winning team will be determined based on the following point system:
- 1 point – Win by pin or submission
- 0 points – Win by disqualification or count out
- 0 points – Loss or draw
- 1 point – Win a match with special stipulations (e.g., Cosmic Cage, Titan Death, etc.)
- 3 points – Win an Infinity Challenge title
- 3 points – Defend an Infinity Challenge title with a win
- 1 point – Defend an Infinity Challenge title with a loss
- 4 points – Winning team in a Battlezone, Survivor or Battle Royal Match
- 2 points – Per surviving member in the above matches
- Special bonus points may be awarded throughout the year at the discretion of Abroz and Dialectas
Following the video, Mot and Kram inform us that it is time to begin the draft and direct everyone’s attention to the screen once more. This time an almost celestial scene is displayed as the star field of deep space is visible. Two nebulous swirling clouds of mist begin to materialize and form what appear to be humanoid-like heads. For the first time, we are introduced to the two mysterious beings behind the Infinity challenge, Abroz and Dialectas. The figures begin to speak with booming, monotone voices… Dialectas: “We would like to thank the GWF, Commissioner Drury, the wrestlers and the fans for participating in our challenge. I am referred to as Dialectas and I will prove that logic is the most powerful force in our existence.”
Abroz: “And I am referred to as Abroz, and I will instead show that intuition is far more powerful. We have studied the roster of wrestlers available to us and we will now begin the Infinity Challenge draft.”
(As Abroz finishes speaking, what look to be figurines or chess pieces begin to materialize in front of them, each one resembling one of the 22 wrestlers available in the draft.)
Abroz: “As I have won the previous contest in our eternal series, it has been decided that I shall receive the first pick. And with that selection, I choose one who I believe has something to prove to himself and will do so through his experience and leadership. I choose the combatant known as Bloodline to be my captain.” #1 Pick - Bloodline With this, the figure of Bloodline rises above the others and moves to Abroz’s portion of the screen. The fans in attendance react with enthusiasm at the selection of a long-time favorite and former multiple-time champion. Next, Dialectas begins to speak… Dialectas: “Your choice, as always, is hardly logical. In fact, this may be easier than I had thought. While you have selected a broken down captain whose best matches are years behind him, I shall use my first selection to choose one who is currently in his prime and is the best physical specimen of pure athletic ability available. I choose the warrior known as U.S. Male to be my captain.” #2 Pick – U.S. Male The crowd again reacts with excitement towards this pick, as the two team captains have been determined and the figure of U.S. Male moves to Dialectas’ portion of the screen. Alternating picks for the second round, Dialectas will now have his pick of first tag team. Dialectas: “To build upon my winning team I now select for my tag team, the only logical choice – the former GWF tag team champions and future Infinity Challenge tag team champions, the Leaders of the Pack.” #3 Pick – Leaders of the Pack The crowd is once again pleased with this selection, as all fan favorites have been chosen up to this point. This time, the figures of Malkuth and Panther Warrior move to Dialectas’ side, joining U.S. Male. With his next pick on the line, Abroz counters… Abroz: “While you have selected a great team, my intuition tells me that there is another pairing that will be able to counter your pick. They have shown great potential in their short time together and know your selections very well. I also have a feeling they are willing to do whatever it takes to win and ensure victory. With my selection, I choose Dark Futures.” #4 Pick – Dark Futures The crowd reacts with boos at this pick as the rule breaking duo of Tricks and Oracle, or their likenesses at least, take their place next to Bloodline on Team Abroz. Dialectas reacts before selections alternate once more with Abroz making the final pick of the evening, first female competitor. Dialectas: “An interesting pick to say the least, however I question the logic behind it. Clearly I am getting the better of this exchange.”
Abroz: “Only time will tell who the victor is, lest I remind you of our last challenge. Not even your logic can argue with my next selection. For my first female competitor, I choose Shann-Ra” #5 Pick – Shann-Ra The crowd once again shows it approval of this pick as Shann-Ra has long been a favorite in the female division. When the cheers die down, Dialectas makes his female selection and the final pick of this evening. Dialectas: “That may be your first intelligent pick. I do not feel however, that it will be enough. My selection is younger, stronger, and… deadlier. I choose Deadliest. Our remaining selections shall be revealed this Sunday at Deimos Perennial, but for now… Let the Infinity Challenge begin! Tonight we will see who has made the best choices so far, as it will be U.S. Male and the Leaders of the Pack against Bloodline and Dark Futures.” #6 Pick - Deadliest The crowd roars at the thought of getting to witness the first official Infinity Challenge match later tonight, and with that the screen focuses on the two teams that have been assembled to this point before fading to black. Johnny Rocket: “Wow! Some interesting picks there. I would have to side with Dialectas so far. I don’t know what Abroz was thinking! Bloodline!?! We’ll see how the old man does later tonight in the big six-man matchup!”
DragonMaster: “Don’t underestimate an experienced veteran Rocket! I think the third generation of the First Family of the GWF has something to prove in the twilight of his career. Pardon the pun, but I feel like he’s going to go out with a big bang! It will be interesting to see how the rest of the draft shapes up this Sunday. The remaining picks will be in action next in a special Infinity Challenge Scouting Battle Royal!” *** Commercial ***Infinity Challenge Scouting Battle Royal American Guy wins in 15:16 after last eliminating Tanck Dialectas and Abroz’s scouting battle royal to help determine their next draft picks kicked off with a bang. Wild blows were being thrown all over the ring as the competitors laid into one another with a sense of determination to impress and hopefully move up the draft. Gryt attempted to go toe to toe with American Guy and was met a thunderous clothesline over the top rope for his efforts (1:05). Vidtek laughed at him from the ring, only to turn around and be met with a similar fate at the hands of Tanck (1:10). The first two men eliminated from the Battle royal then jawed at each other on the floor before being sent to the back by officials. American Guy and Tanck sized each other up after their respective elimination efforts as fans cheered at the thought of a brawl between the two, but they decided to hold off and rejoined the fracas around them. Despite the every man for himself nature of the match, Thraxx and Zygon worked as a unit, punishing The Betrayer with Thraxx eventually making the elimination (4:54). As Zygon celebrated like he was the one to make the elimination), Thraxx surprised his partner with a big boot over the top, making it two eliminations in a row (5:00). After a few more minutes of chaotic action, Scimitar took a charge at his former partner, Tanck, only to be met with a toss over the top rope to the floor (7:22). Tanck continued to be a house en fuego as he went on to eliminate Plethador (8:42), Thraxx (9:43) and Mantis (10:03). Tristan and Nitro, the Titan team with a rocky relationship this past year, did not work together the entire match before deciding to team up (seemingly reluctantly) against the larger American Guy and Tanck. After a miscue caused Tristan to accidentally nail his partner, American guy took advantage and dumped Nitro to the floor (14:38). As Tristan apologized from the apron, Nitro verbally laid into him from the outside. Tristan turned around only to be eliminated by Tanck (14:42). Nitro helped his fellow Titan to his feet before leveling him with a sucker punch, knocking him back to the floor. Oddly enough, The Betrayer stormed ringside to defend his half-brother. Nitro just laughed and walked to the back with a cocky smile on his face. Meanwhile, Tanck and American Guy finally had their inevitable showdown after the two big men teased locking up several times during the match. The two exchanged blows and appeared to be pretty evenly matched before American Guy got the win, eliminating his opponent as they brawled near the ropes (15:16). Tanck was visibly upset after an impressive showing with six eliminations. He pointed at Guy from the floor, who ignored his threats and mocked him as he celebrated the big win. It was clear this rivalry was far from over. Elimination orderAmerican Guy eliminated Gryt (1:05) Tanck eliminated Vidtek (1:10) Thraxx eliminated The Betrayer (4:54) Thraxx eliminated Zygon (5:00) Tanck eliminated Scimitar (7:22) Tanck eliminates Plethador (8:42) Tanck eliminated Thraxx (9:43) Tanck eliminated Mantis (10:03) American guy eliminated Nitro (14:38) Tanck eliminated Tristan (14:42) American Guy eliminated Tanck (15:16) Total eliminationsTanck – 6 American Guy – 3 Thraxx – 2 DragonMaster: “Lots of great action here so far on Monday Night Mayhem! Just what you’ve come to expect from the GWF’s flagship program! American guy picking up the huge win which will be sure to impress Abroz and Dialectas.”
Johnny Rocket: “Yeah, Guy looked good with the’ W’ Dragon, but let’s not forget the big man, Tanck, with an impressive 6 eliminations! If I’m making the picks in this thing, my money’s on the Galaxy’s Strongest Man! As crazy as this Infinity challenge is though, the next pick could be Guy and Tanck together a tag team! How wild is that?!? I also think we may have finally seen the end of Titan Energy. Nitro looks like he finally shook the monkey off his back and is ready to step up his game!”
DragonMaster: “Perhaps a little dissention in the ranks with Frontal Assault as well! We’re certainly in store for a unprecedented year with the Infinity challenge. We still have the big six-man match to officially kick the point scoring action off later tonight, but when we come back, we’ll hear from the commissioner of the GWF, Sly Drury!” *** Commercial *** Commissioner Drury – “State of the GWF Address” The Commissioner of the GWF makes his way out to the ring following the commercial break with his security force in tow, amidst a barrage of boos. Following behind him are his Martial Law team (Encubus, Mother Superior and Patch) and the new team he introduced at a jaw dropping press conference held earlier in the day, the Rogue’s Gallery (Nosfera, Omen, Coven Black, and the new Bishop Hell). As the impressive and menacing contingent enters the ring, everyone wonders what bombshells the Commissioner might have in store tonight. Drury makes his way to a special podium that has been set up in the middle of the ring and prepares to speak into the microphone; however it takes several minutes for the crowd to stop booing and allow him to speak. When the boos finally die down, the commissioner begins to address the crowd. Sly Drury: “Now is that any way to treat your commissioner? Let me start off by reminding you that while everyone is looking to undermine my authority now more than ever, including the very people that hired me for the job, the GWF board of directors themselves, the truth is I have an iron clad contract through the end of next year and there isn’t a damn thing anyone can do about it! That’s right, I’m not going anywhere!”
(This, of course, elicits even more boos.)
Sly Drury: “I know that won’t stop my enemies from gunning for me even harder this year, but that’s okay because I’m prepared for them. I may be the brains around here, but let me introduce you to my muscle!”
(The commissioner laughs arrogantly as he motions to the collection of villains surrounding him in the ring.)
Sly Drury: “My Martial Law and Rogue’s Gallery teams, will deal with the nagging FDF once and for all and, when the time is right, I will unleash the leader of my new team, the man… no, the monster who will… fittingly… put an end to Endgame! You’ve been a thorn in my side for too long now you overgrown boyscout, but not for much longer! Now, let me take a minute to address that traitorous bitch, Phantasy!”
(The crowd pops at the mention of the womens champion. While she was getting boos as a member of Martial Law, the recent revelation of her own “covert operations” for the Dark Menace has earned her the admiration of the fans.)
Sly Drury: “You really messed up honey! You had it good right where you were, hanging on the arm of the commissioner. Well, that’s about to change real fast. You’re not going to get away with your treason wench! I’m going to make sure 2125 is a living hell for you girl! In fact, tonight you will be defending your title against Mother Superior… AND Strafe!”
(As the crowd boos that last decree, Drury soaks in the hatred with a cocky smile and continues unphased)
Sly Drury: “And speaking of Aethrans, let me silence the rumors once and for all and introduce you to the last pieces of the puzzle, the final members of my alliance… the Gladiators!” While it had long been suspected, especially following the tragic events on Aethra involving Monolith, the crowd still goes ballistic, howling even louder than before, at the revelation that Sly Drury is aligning himself with a man even more hated than himself if that is even possible, the Aethran Overmaster! The familiar sound of war drums followed by heavy metal riffs echoes through the Phobos Sundome as the Gladiators of Aethra (The Overmaster, Rush, Paralyze and Strafe) make their way to the ring. Boos continue, even louder than before, as the Overmaster takes the microphone… Aethran Overmaster: “Boo all that you want, but make no mistake that the new age of Aethran dominance is upon you. The newly formed alliance you see before you cannot, and will not be stopped! With Monolith gone from the GWF forever, there is no one even close to being able to challenge my might and end my reign as champion. Tonight, Strafe will become the Womens Champion and take her rightful throne as the most dominating female in the GWF. We will also reveal the newest member of our team, the awesome Aethran who will team with Rush and usher in a new era of Gladiator tag team greatness. Soon the names Brute & Massacre and Thunder & Overkill will pale in comparison when looked upon in the history books… instead the names Rush & Turmoil will be considered the greatest team of Aethrans to ever compete.”
Sly Drury: “With the Aethrans by my side, nobody can touch us! (turning to the Overmaster) You can trust me and my teams completely! If we watch each other’s backs this year, there’s no way Endgame and his whelps can get the best of us. And, to show that I mean what I say, I am offering you the position of co-commissioner… but my last act as sole commissioner, as a special gift to confirm our truce, I am giving your new tag team the newly vacated tag team titles and declaring them the new champions.” Drury pulls out a metallic case from under his podium and opens it to reveal the GWF Tag Team titles. He hands the titles, formerly held by the Leaders of the Pack before they were forced to vacate them (under Drury’s decree), to Rush. The young Aethran holds the titles high above his head as the boos intensify. Suddenly, music blares on the speakers interrupting the summit in the ring and The Dark Menace emerges from behind the curtain at the top of the ramp. The crowd roars with applause at the welcome interruption, before finally settling down and allowing him to speak. Dark Menace: “I hate to interrupt the meeting of the minds that is taking place, and forgive me for being so presumptuous with my assessment of what just occurred, but it doesn’t seem very in-character for an Aethran to just be handed a championship. If I’m not mistaken, the great teams you just mentioned earned their accolades. Brute and Massacre defeated the likes of the Greek Gods and the New Order. Dynasties are defined by the challengers they left in ruins. Who exactly have you beaten for those title belts?”
(Furious at this interruption, Drury screams at his enemy…)
Sly Drury: “YOU! Don’t you know when to quit? Security, get up there and…”
(The Overmaster interrupt him in mid sentence…)
Aethran Overmaster: “No! It’s ok… for once I’ll agree with him and even admit he’s right. Aethrans prove their dominance in the field of battle. Rush and Turmoil will not just accept the tag team titles. They will win them in the center of the ring against worthy adversaries, proving their superiority through victory.”
(Addressing the Dark Menace…)
Sly Drury: “And let me guess, you have a team you want to fight for the titles?”
Dark Menace: “Oh, quite the contrary Mr. Drury. I think the Gladiators should determine the next tag team champions in a friendly exhibition match against the only other worthy championship caliber team in the GWF… a team from Martial Law!”
Sly Drury: “You’ve got to be kidding me! What do you think…”
(Before he can finish, he is interrupted by the Overmaster again… this time he seems slightly annoyed)
Aethran Overmaster: “Again, he has a point. This ring clearly contains the best collection of physical specimens in the GWF. Why shouldn’t the best team be determined from among the best wrestlers available?”
Encubus: “Yeah! I like the sounds of that. Let the best battle the best... and let’s be honest, I’m more qualified to hold those belts than anyone else in this ring. I’m the most decorated champion here. I have even held those very belts numerous times, despite pretty much having to single handedly win and defend them myself thanks to my handicap of a worthless partner. If anyone deserves a shot at those belts, it’s you and me Drury. You’re the commissioner after all.”
(The champion reacts with a slight aggravated tone)
Aethran Overmaster: “Co-Commissioner, as you clearly can’t pay attention. You’d be best served to watch your…”
(This time Drury does the interrupting. Sensing things heating up and starting to get out of control, Drury tries to diffuse the situation…)
Sly Drury: “Ok guys, no need to get heated! Let’s talk about this. Maybe you’re right… if the Gladiators want to have some legitimate completion for the titles, it’s not like they’re going to get it from Endgame’s group of babies, or whatever hobbled together makeshift team this goof can come up with. At Deimos Perennial, we’ll have a friendly exhibition match between the new Gladiator tag team and Encubus and me. We’ll show these other losers how it’s done! And may the best team win!”
Dark Menace: “Good, now that we got that little matter cleared up, there is one more item I would like to discuss… the Universal Title Match at Deimos Perennial!”
Sly Drury: “I’m telling you, you better…”
(The Overmaster interrupts him again, for the third time…)
Aethran Overmaster: “Let him speak Drury. Whatever this speck has to say to me, I would love to hear it. But you better choose your words carefully Menace!”
Dark Menace: “As I was about to say before I was so rudely interrupted… after your cowardly attack on my Monolith, you no longer have an opponent this Sunday. But how can you expect your team to fight for their titles and not lead by example. A true fighting champion would take on all challengers, and seeing as I now once again own Monolith’s GWF contract, I would like to name his replacement. At Deimos Perennial, you’ll be defending your… no, Monolith’s title against my newest signing… Havoc!” With that, the former Aethran joins his manager on the stage and the crowd erupts with cheers at the news of the new main event for the PPV. Everyone in the ring, particularly the Gladiators, reacts angrily and begins shouting at the crowd to shut up and at hurling insults at their enemies on the stage. Havoc and the Dark Menace just smirk and await the Overmaster’s response. Aethran Overmaster: “Ha! Is that the best you can come up with? You actually just saved me the trouble of cleaning up one last piece of unfinished business. No one disserts the Aethran army! You are a disgrace, and a traitor and I will enjoy crushing your bones. I accept your challenge! But first, you’re going to have a warm up match before you face me, scum! You might not even make it to Sunday, because tonight you’re going to face Rush!” Havoc and Rush stare each other down as the match is set for later tonight. The challengers leave to an ovation from the crowd while Drury tells everyone to shut up and says that when we come back from the commercial break, Phantasy is going to defend her title. Loud boos as we head into… *** Commercial *** When we return from the commercial, we see footage that occurred during the break. As the newly formed Alliance made their way backstage, Commissioner Drury stopped at a television monitor and observed the ringside announcers having a conversation they clearly believed to be in private… DragonMaster: “I’m telling you Rocket, he’s out of control! Things were bad before, but he is sinking to new lows when it comes to abusing his power! Stripping the tag team titles from the AniMen without a fair fight for some tournament he is forcing wrestlers to compete in against their will, not to mention something he is clearly making money on? Settling personal grudges by forcing wrestlers into handicap matches? Handing the tag team titles to his friends? Not to mention everything that went down with Monolith!”
Johnny Rocket: “Watch it DM! Trust me, I know what you mean! Like he said though, hate him all you want, but you’re talking about the Commissioner of the GWF! Unfortunately, right now he’s the guy calling all the shots and as long as you got a wife and kids at home and want to keep pulling in that paycheck, you gotta keep your feelings in check my friend!” Drury took note of what he just heard, smirking as he turned away from the monitor to leave. He was met with Panther Warrior and Malkuth, the former tag team champions, who snarled and showed their teeth menacingly at the Commissioner. GWF security flanked Drury and cocked their assault rifles in response. The AniMen stepped back as the Commissioner spoke with a smug look on his face… Sly Drury: “Sorry about your damn luck boys! But if you really have a problem with how I run things, you can always… Fight the Power“
(He laughs at his obviously less than ideal ultimatum)
Malkuth: “Laugh it up Drury. And good luck this Sunday. We’ll be pulling for you. Because we’re going to be the Infinity Challenge tag team champions at the end of this year and we hope it’s you we get to face for OUR titles so we can rip you to shreds.” The former champions head off, leaving an angry Commissioner behind. GWF Womens Championship Match Strafe and Mother Superior defeated Phantasy in a handicap match at 5:12 when Strafe pinned Phantasy to become the new Womens Champion We head to the ring and see Phantasy alone, looking none too happy with the recent turn of events. She is joined by her opponents, who begin to circle her menacingly, taunting her as they do so. The referee however, was able to keep things somewhat fair as he managed to get Strafe to the ring apron before the signaling for the bell. Despite her disadvantage, Phantasy came out swinging and gained the upper hand against Mother Superior early in the contest. Eventually, the numbers game caught up to her as she was blindsided from behind by Strafe when the referee was checking on Mother Superior. Her opponents took turns punishing her until Sultana made the save and chased off Mother superior. In the confusion, Strafe nailed a Ground Zero and picked up the win and the title. During the action, a cloud of black smoke swirled on the top of the entrance ramp and when it cleared, Coven Black appeared. He remained for a few minutes and appeared to be studying the females in the ring, tilting his head from side to side and smirking before licking his lips and disappearing again into another cloud of smoke. Before we head to commercial, we see Tristan sitting in the lock room next to an empty locker with Nitro’s name on it. The Titan has his head in his hands, shaking his head in disbelief over what occurred earlier. He is suddenly joined by The Betrayer who site next to him and pats him on the back consolingly as he speaks… The Betrayer: “Don’t worry bro! I got your back! Forget that turd; it’s you and me now! We’ll take care of him. You and me, Titan Blood, baby! Yeah, I can dig that!”
(He gets up and walks off, talking to himself as Tristan looks on bewildered, shaking his head) *** Commercial *** When we return from the commercial, we see the Gladiators celebrating Strafe’s newly won title backstage. As they pump their fists in the air in victory, the party is suddenly interrupted by… Wolf! Aethran Overmaster: “What are you doing here you flea infested mongrel?!? I thought you were forced to leave the GWF after your embarrassing loss in the Fatal Showdown?”
Wolf: “I made a deal with Monolith and his new manager the Dark Menace. I wanted one last match before I left, and since you’re already spoken for chump, I’m going to take out the only Gladiator without a match this Sunday – Paralyze!”
(The crowd goes wild at the indication of Wolf fighting one last match before he leaves, especially against someone as hated as one of the Gladiators!)
Wolf: “I might not like that big oaf, Monolith, but I’ve come to respect him after what we went through this past year. Not even he deserved what you did to him, and seeing as I enjoy kicking Aethran ass, it’s gonna be my pleasure getting a little revenge for the big guy! Owwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!”
(Wolf points at Paralyze as he lets out his signature howl, then takes off) Paralyze: “Don’t worry; I’ll make sure that he has a matching hospital bed right next to Monolith… when I break his neck!” Infinity ChallengeTeam Dialectas (U.S. Male, Leaders of the Pack) defeated Team Abroz (Bloodline, Dark Futures) at 6:07 when U.S. Male pinned Bloodline Team Dialectas made a statement, winning the first contest of the Infinity Challenge. U.S. Male and the Leaders of the Pack isolated Bloodline the entire match, cutting him off from his teammates and preventing any tags. Towards the end of the bout, a frustrated Tricks and Oracle attacked their tag team counterparts outside the ring and instigated a wild four man brawl. U.S. Male put the match away when locked in Seize the Day on the worn-down, opposing captain. As Team Dialectas celebrated together in the ring after the match, Tricks and Oracle left their fallen leader behind and flashed him a gesture as to say “forget about you” before heading to the locker room. DragonMaster: “Team Dialectas with the big win tonight, drawing first blood in the Infinity Challenge. I have to say U.S. Male and the Leaders of the Pack looked solid as a unit tonight… not so much so for Bloodline and Dark Futures.”
Johnny Rocket: “I’m telling you DM, there is no gas left in Bloodline’s tank, and even he knows it – you can see it on his face out there. He’s done! Looks like Abroz better make the best of his next pick Sunday to try and get this thing back on track!”
DragonMaster: “When we come back, our main event is next as Havoc faces off against Rush in what is sure to be a high-paced confrontation! Don’t change that channel!” *** Commercial *** Following the commercial break, prior to the main event, the announce team runs down the final card for the first pay per view of 2125, the Deimos Perennial, as a video package highlighting the matches and the competitors plays… DragonMaster: “A new match just added to the card, Co-Commissioner Drury will be debuting the newest member of his Martial Law team in an open challenge against anyone willing to step up to the plate from Endgame’s team. Who will the new member be, someone we already know or a new face? And who is brave enough to face the unknown?” Johnny Rocket: “Announced earlier at today’s press conference, Drury’s scary new Rogue’s Gallery team, Nosfera along with newcomers making their GWF debuts Coven Black and the new Bishop Hell, will be in action for the first time against the FDF, Interplanetary champion Tauran, Ensor and new member, Retribution! Based on the amount of hatred brewing here, this one’s gonna get ugly!” Infinity Challenge Womens Championship Match DragonMaster: “The top two women drafted in the Infinity challenge, Shann-Ra and Deadliest, face off to become the first Infinity Challenge Womens Champion and stake their claim as the most dominant female in the tournament!” Infinity Challenge Tag Team Championship Match Johnny Rocket: “Fresh off of being stripped of the GWF Tag Team Titles, the Leaders of the Pack are angry and looking to take it out on somebody! They’ll get their chance against their long-time foes from the Dark Carnival, Tricks and his Dark Futures partner, Oracle, who is not too surprisingly already predicting victory and the Infinity Challenge Tag Team titles!” Infinity Challenge Championship Match DragonMaster: “The Infinity Challenge captains square off to see who will walk away with the Infinity Challenge Title! These two are no strangers as they clashed as tag team opponents in the past. This time though, it’ll be one on one as both men seek redemption as well as championship gold!” Johnny Rocket: “The icon of the GWF, the original Wildman, the one and only Wolf will wrestle what could be his last GWF match ever against the brutal Gladiator, Paralyze. With Wolf looking for revenge for his Fatal Showdown opponent, monolith, and considering his past track record with Aethrans, this one promises to be anything but pretty!” GWF Universal Tag Team Championship Match DragonMaster: “In a match suggested by the Dark Menace of all people, The Gladiators of Aethra look to begin a new era of tag team greatness as they take on the team of Co-Commissioner Sly Drury and his partner Encubus. Will we see what was promised to be a Universe-class display of tag team wrestling in this “friendly exhibition match”, or will cracks emerge in the newly formed Alliance?” GWF Universal Heavyweight Championship Match Johnny Rocket: “And in the main event of the night, the Aethran Overmaster, originally scheduled to take on Monolith in a match a year in the making will instead face the Aethran-deserter, Havoc. Can the Gothic Ex-Gladiator make the most of his newfound opportunity, or will the new era of Gladiator dominance continue? Find out this Sunday on pay-per-view as the GWF brings you Deimos Perennial 2125! What are you waiting for?!? Call your local Holovision provider!!!! But first, it’s main event time! Let’s head down to the ring…” The Main Event! Havoc defeated Rush by pinfall at 12:09 Rush surprised Havoc early on with his high octane offense and managed to hit the Tempest for a near pinfall. After some competitive back and forth action, Havoc took control by nailing a Gothic Tomb Spike. He continued to punish the younger Aethran outside the ring in a clear message to his Deimos Perennial opponent, the Overmaster, before finally ending the contest with a Fallen Dreams. Following the match, a man emerged from the crowd and blindsided Havoc as he celebrated his victory with what appeared to be a pair of railroad ties connected by a chunk of cement. It was apparent that this massive, facepainted assailant was the newest member of the Gladiators of Aethra – Turmoil! As he pummeled Havoc, Rush recovered and joined in on the assault. Turmoil then slammed Havoc over the top rope to the floor outside the ring, and in a truly amazing feat, ran against the opposite ropes, leapt onto the turnbuckle, then onto the top ring rope and then finally crashed onto an unconscious Havoc with a flying senton bomb. If this wasn’t enough, Rush rolled Havoc back into the ring and laid a chair on top of him. The larger Aethran, with a possessed look on his face yet noticeably affected by the last maneuver, ran the ropes and dove on top of Havoc, chair and all, with a big body splash. As the crowd sat stunned in awe of the massacre they just witnessed, medics rushed the ring to attend to the injured wrestler. Meanwhile, his two Aethran attackers stood in the middle of the ring over his bloodied body with their fists raised in the air to end the show. ©2125 GWF. All Rights Reserved. - The Dark Menace also informed the Overmaster that, as Monolith’s new official contract holder, he was able to announce his replacement for the Universal Heavyweight Title match at Deimos Perennial and selected his new signing, Havoc (NOTE: Monolith had previously forfeited the title one year prior in order to compete exclusively against Wolf in the Fatal Showdown, with a clause that he would get a title shot at this year’s Deimos Perennial against the current champion – in this case, the Aethran Overmaster)

- Following the match, Turmoil made his debut when he attacked Havoc from behind. The two Aethrans brutally bloodied Havoc and left him lying broken in the ring to end the show.

Deimos Perennial 2125 Preview Open Challenge Commissioner Drury has extended an open invitation to anyone from Endgame’s camp to face the newest member of Martial Law, a newcomer brought to the GWF by the mysterious beings behind the Infinity Challenge, Abroz and Dialectas. Who will accept the challenge? The Commissioner says it doesn’t matter, because whoever it is, they are going to lose. Six-Man Grudge Match The first salvo is fired in the war between the FDF and the Rogue’s Gallery as the FDF, including with its newest recruit Retribution, take on Drury’s new team of villains, including the debuting Coven Black and the new Bishop Hell. Deimos Perennial carries a longstanding history of new wrestlers debuting for the first time, trying to make a name for themselves. How will Black and Hell fare? How will Rogue’s Gallery function in their first match together, and for that matter can Retribution fit in with his FDF teammates? Infinity Challenge Womens Championship Match The top two women drafted in the Infinity Challenge square off for the right to be called the first Infinity Challenge Womens champion. Abroz feels that Shan Ra’s experience will prove the deciding factor, while Dialectas is banking on Deadliest’s youth and strength, while the women themselves aim to prove they will make a bigger impact in the challenge than their male counterparts. Infinity Challenge Tag Team Championship Match Stripped of the GWF Tag Team Titles, the Leaders of the Pack will be looking to take out their anger and frustration on someone. Dark Futures should not be taken lightly though as Oracle has already predicted victory for his team and Tricks promises to have a few… tricks up his sleeve. Having faced off over the past few years as long-time foes in the AniMen/Dark Carnival feud, these two teams know each other very well and both sides will be looking to take home tag team gold. Infinity Challenge Championship Match Drafted #1 and #2 in the Infinity Challenge, Bloodline and U.S. Male will meet in the ring to determine the first Infinity Challenge champion. These two have clashed as tag team opponents in the past as part of the Divided We Fall/Common Enemy feud, but this time it will be one on one. There is more on the line than just championship gold though, as both team captains will look to set the tone for the Infinity Challenge and lead their teams by example. On a personal level, both men begin a journey of redemption. Bloodline, the aged veteran, looks to prove he still has some great matches left in him and hopes to distance himself from his former teammates and “family”, Encubs and Mother Superior. U.S. Male hopes to redeem himself to Endgame and the FDF after leaving them to side with Covert Operations in what he believes was the worst decision he has ever made. Who will turn things around and stake their claim as the dominant Infinity Challenge captain? Farewell Match In addition to debuts, Deimos Perennial is also noted for hosting many farewell matches throughout the years. The GWF legend, Wolf, steps in to the ring for what could very well be his last GWF match, against the brutal Gladiator, Paralyze. After a year of competing exclusively against Monolith in the Fatal Showdown, the Wildman walked away with a newfound respect for the big man and seeks a measure of revenge against the team he feels is responsible for the tragic “accident”. Will Paralyze ruin Wolf’s farewell match and put him in the hospital next to Monolith, or does Wolf have one last victory left in him before he says goodbye. GWF Universal Tag Team Championship Match Sly Drury has built what he believes to be the ultimate Alliance, adding the dastardly Rogue’s Gallery to his already formidable Martial Team and partnering with the deadly Gladiators of Aethra – a series of moves he believe will keep anyone from challenging his authority or removing him from his office. When he tried to hand the newly vacated tag team titles to the new Gladiator tag team as a sign of goodwill, he was interrupted by the Dark Menace who manipulated the alliance members in to facing each other for the belts in what he called a “friendly exhibition match” between the two best teams in the GWF. Will a new era of Gladiator tag team greatness begin? Will Encubus add more tag team gold to his already impressive resume? Will the two teams manage to keep things “friendly”, or will cracks emerge in the newly formed Alliance? Did the Dark Menace have a hidden agenda for suggesting this match, and if so will his plans be revealed? GWF Universal Heavyweight Championship Match A year ago, Monolith vacated his Universal Heavyweight Championship in order to compete exclusively against Wolf in the Fatal Showdown. However, he added a clause that stated he would receive a title shot against the current champion at this year’s Deimos Perennial so he could reclaim his title. The Aethran Overmaster won the vacated title and a match that was a year in the making was postponed indefinitely following the tragic events on Aethra that left Monolith hospitalized and lucky to even be alive. While the Overmaster and Sly Drury claim to have nothing to do with the explosion of Monolith’s spacecraft and deny any involvement, fans question the convenient timing, just weeks before the two men were set to face off. Left without an opponent, the Overmaster was informed that he would instead be facing the Dark Meance’s newest signing, Havoc. In another notorious attack, the debuting Turmoil brutally attacked and dismantled Havoc after a match with Rush, leaving his ability to compete in this match uncertain. Will Havoc even be able to compete, or will the Aethran Overmaster’s reign of dominance and destruction continue? Don’t miss any of the action! Call your local Holovision provider now!!!! ©2125 GWF. Card #2 - 1/7/25 Deimos Perennial 2125 Deimos Intergalactic Arena, Mars A video package plays to start the broadcast. “DEIMOS PERENNIAL”… shots of the GWF’s “home” one of the moons of Mars, Deimos. “AN ANNUAL TRADITION”… years quickly flash across the screen counting up from the first Deimos Perennial until the current year, 2125. “NEW CHAPTERS BEGIN”… shots of the many debuts that have occurred throughout the years at this event, including the new stars set to debut tonight – Coven Black, Bishop Hell and Turmoil. “OLD STORIES END”… shots of the often times emotional goodbyes that have taken place throughout the years at this event, including the star scheduled to wrestle his last match tonight, Wolf. The Deimos Perennial logo then displays before we join the announcers at ringside… DragonMaster:“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the first pay-per-view of the GWF calendar year, the annual tradition, Deimos Perennial! It’s an understatement, but we’ve got an action-packed night in store for you!” Johnny Rocket:“You said it DM! We’ve got 5 big title matches, 3 debuts and 1 farewell… not to mention we’ll be announcing the remaining draft picks for the Infinity Challanege! The crowd here at the GWF’s home, the Deimos Intergalactic Arena, is going crazy tonight! Let’s send it down to the ring for our first match…” Infinity Challenge Womens Championship Match Shann-Ra pinned Deadliest at 20:54 to become the first Infinity Challenge Womens Champion The first two females drafted in the Infinity Challenge put on a display in the opening bout of the Pay-Per-View, setting the bar for their male counterparts. In a match that hit the twenty minute mark, after a grueling back and forth contest and several near falls, Shann-Ra finally put away her opponent with a Machete to claim the Infinity Challenge Womens title. The two competitors acknowledge each other after the hard fought contest, with Deadliest even raising her opponent’s hand in a sign of respect. The crowd showed their approval by providing the women with a standing ovation for their efforts. During the match, Coven Black appeared at the top of the entrance ramp, like he did at Monday Night Mayhem, and again appeared to study the females in the ring in a similar fashion before disappearing once more in a cloud of black smoke. Johnny Rocket: "That Coven Black creeps me out DM! We’ve had some weirdos here in the GWF, but he might take the cake. What a match though by the ladies to kick off the night" DragonMaster: "Yeah, Black will definitely fit in with a guy like Nosfera for sure. Shann-Ra and Deadliest pushed themselves to the limit tonight to earn the right to be called the first Infinity Challenge Womens champion! The guys are really going to have to step their games up tonight if this is any indication of what the level of competition is going to be like in the Infinity Challenge!” Johnny Rocket: "Well, we’re about to find out exactly who will be competing against who this year. Tonight, we’re going to periodically bring you the remaining draft picks, as selected earlier today by Abroz and Dialectas” The large screen above the entrance way lights up and we see the next two picks displayed… #7 Pick (Abroz) – American Guy #8 Pick (Dialectas) – Tanck Johnny Rocket:“Those are some big, bad dudes that just got drafted there! Abroz and Dialectas coming out of the gate tonight with the heavy hitters!” DragonMaster:“Both American guy and Tanck had impressive performances in the scouting battle royal Monday night and it looks like they paid off. Will they be able to keep up their momentum, and what will happen when these behemoths collide? We’re ready to head back to the ring for our next match-up as we will meet the newest member of Martial Law and see who steps up to the plate to answer Drury’s open challenge!” It was time for the debut of the newest member of the Martial Law team - newcomer, Symbiosis. Everyone got their first look at the brightly colored alien, who appeared to have four arms, as he made his way to the ring for the open challenge Sly Drury had laid down on Monday night. The crowd waited with anticipation to see who his first opponent would be, and erupted into cheers as Swarm ran down the ramp with a head of steam towards the ring. Open ChallengeSymbiosis defeated Swarm at 10:39 via pinfall Swarm took it to the newcomer early on and hammered him with his high octane offense. Symbiosis eventually evened the score and the two competitors exchanged control of the match before one of the most bizarre events ever witnessed in a GWF ring took place. After a devastating maneuver by the AniMan, part of Symbiosis appeared to detach itself and fall to the mat before wildly shrieking, scampering around the ring and rolling under the bottom rope to the outside. Dumfounded by what had just transpired, Swarm was caught off guard by the remaining portion of his opponent and launched violently backwards into the turnbuckle, hitting his head hard. Symbiosis then hit an underhook duplex on his stunned opponent and picked up the win. After the match, the piece of Symbiosis which was outside the ring crawled back inside and reattached itself to the back of the other portion. The whole thing was very bizarre as Swarm rubbed his head in the ring, trying to figure out what just happened. Johnny Rocket:“I think I’m just as stunned as Swarm! What the hell just happened in there!?!” DragonMaster:“I don’t know Rocket, I thought Coven black was odd, but what we just witnessed was even more bizarre! Regardless, it looks like Drury’s newest recruit just made an impact at the expense of Endgame’s team” The big screen lights up again as we see the next picks in the Infinity Challenge draft… #9 Pick (Abroz) – Mantis #10 Pick (Dialectas) – Nitro DragonMaster:“From the big guys to the next breakout stars! These two, maybe more so than anyone else in the Infinity Challenge, have the ability to really shine this year and take that next step up the GWF ladder.” Johnny Rocket:“My money’s on Nitro in this one, I’m digging his new attitude! And speaking of Infinity Challenge, our next match is for the Infinity Challenge Tag Team Titles. Will team Dialectas even up the score here or will Team Abroz continue to build on their lead?” Infinity Challenge Tag Team Championship Match Dark Futures defeated Leaders of the Pack at 5:41 to become the first Infinity Challenge Tag Team Champions when Tricks pinned Panther Warrior The Leaders of the Pack looked to be well on their way to reclaiming tag team gold as they controlled the action from the onset of the match. The frustration and anger over being stripped of the GWF Tag Team titles was apparent, as the AniMen dominated their foes. Appearing to be on the verge of victory, Malkuth launched into a Lord of the Pounce on a helpless Oracle and accidentally knocked out the referee at the same time. Quick to take advantage of the situation, Tricks hit the ring with a chair and violently slammed the back of the Lord of the Jungle’s head as he made a futile pin attempt. Panther Warrior jumped over the top rope in an attempt to aid his partner but was met with a chair shot of his own. The evil clown then pulled his partner on top of the downed Malkuth as the referee came to. Not realizing what had just occurred, he made the three count and awarded the titles to Dark Futures. Tricks jumped around the ring celebrating the win and mocked his opponents before he and Oracle left for the back. Johnny Rocket:“Pure chaos! Tricks really did have some tricks up his sleeve tonight, pun intended! Big win for Dark Futures and Team Abroz is on a roll with another title win and another 6 points!” DragonMaster:“Tough break for the Leaders of the Pack, being robbed twice now, especially after everything that occurred with their GWF Tag Team Titles. I have a feeling the ending of this one may be reviewed though. We’ll continue with the Infinity Challenge now, as we learn the next two picks…” #11 Pick (Abroz) – Titan Blood #12 Pick (Dialectas) – Frontal Assault Johnny Rocket:“Wow! I can’t believe it! I agree with Dialectas, it doesn’t seem like Abroz uses any logic in his picks! These guys have never even teamed together before… in fact, I don’t even know if they like each other! I gotta give the edge to Dialectas on this one.” DragonMaster:“I wouldn’t be so sure Rocket. Frontal Assault has been spinning their wheels for a while now and haven’t really been going anywhere lately. Maybe Abroz has a feeling Titan Blood can surprise a few people.” The big six-man match was next as the Rogue’s Gallery made their debut as team, with Coven Black and the new Bishop Hell making their GWF debuts. The trio had an entrance as frightening as they were. The arena went pitch black and flames suddenly engulfed the entranceway at the top of the ramp. A lone figure emerged from the fire and brimstone, lit only by the glow of the fire around him, it was quickly apparent that this was the new Bishop Hell. He was joined by Coven Black, who appeared in a cloud of black smoke as he did earlier on this evening. Lastly, screams echoed from the capacity crowd as Nosfera leapt and bounded about as chairs flew and fans scattered, before he hopped over the guardrail and joined his teammates. Six-Man Grudge Match The Rogue’s Gallery defeated the FDF at 8:27 when Bishop Hell pinned Tauran The first of many matches to come this year between these two warring factions started off in predictable chaotic fashion with all six men brawling in and around the ring. The referee eventually gained control and called for the bell, with Tauran and the newcomer Coven Black starting out. Black managed to get the best of his exchange with the Interplanetary Champion, dazzling his opponent and the crowd with his speed-based offense. The FDF eventually managed to gain some advantage, but it was short lived as the heels fought back and isolated Ensor, dominating him with surprisingly effective teamwork for the newly formed faction. Towards the end of the match, Ensor made the hot tag to Tauran who cleaned house on his enemies before turning around into a nasty Demon’s Breath from Nosfera. Retribution charged the ring and knocked both himself and his hated enemy over the top rope to the floor where he pursued the Brymstonian through the crowd in a wild chase. Back in the ring, Coven Black landed a Rogue Revolver on a wounded Tauran and Bishop Hell, the legal man, finished things off with a piledriver for the 1-2-3. DragonMaster:“A wild match as we expected! It’s going to be a long year between these two teams, but first blood definitely goes to the Rogue’s Gallery.” Johnny Rocket:“Drury’s new team of wackos and weirdos did look impressive as they got the job done out there tonight! The FDF is going to have to try and bounce back from this one.” The big screen does it’s thing and we are shown the next two draft picks… #13 Pick (Abroz) – She Devil #14 Pick (Dialectas) – Vidtek DragonMaster:“It looks like Abroz pulled a wily move here and drafted She Devil sooner rather than later, knowing Dialectas would be stuck with Rotunda. Abroz clearly comes out ahead with the better female roster for his team.” Johnny Rocket:“Watch it DM, I wouldn’t want to be on Rotunda’s bad side! Vidtek may be upset that he wasn’t drafted above She Devil, but a nice pick-up for Dialectas though regardless.” We go back stage and see Bloodline taping his wrists, getting ready for his match next. As he is finishing up, he is joined by his former tag team partner, Encubus. The two clearly do not like each other, and bloodline gets right in his face and asks what he wants before Encubus responds… Encubus:“Easy, relax… (sarcastically) I just wanted to congratulate you on being the number one draft pick! (more serious) After tonight, everyone is going to see that I was the one who carried your sorry ass! I’ll be walking out with gold and you’ll just be the same sad, pathetic broken-down has-been you’ve been for the past few years… you just won’t have me there to make you look good!” Encubus heads off laughing as Bloodline gryts his teeth and stares him down. He punches his fist to his hand before heading out to the entranceway for his match. Infinity Challenge Championship Match U.S. Male pinned Bloodline at 3:57 to become the first Infinity Challenge Singles Champion Both Infinity Challenge captains looked to capitalize on this opportunity and become the first I.C. singles champion. However, Bloodline seemed to be off his game in this one and U.S. Male took advantage by dominating his opponent from the start. When it looked like he might make a comeback after a brief offensive flurry, the older captain fell victim to a Patriot Missile and a quick roll-up. Both men (not to mention the announcers and the crowd on hand) appeared to be in disbelief with the relative lopsidedness of the bout and the quick ending, but Bloodline nonetheless shook hands with the victor and raised his hand in victory in a sign of goodwill and sportsmanship. As U.S. Male celebrated in the ring by holding his newly won Infinity Challenge Singles title in the air, Bloodline headed to the back shaking his head and appearing visibly frustrated. DragonMaster:“U.S. Male with a huge victory here tonight, turning things around for Team Dialectas and bringing home the singles gold. Tough loss for Bloodline, he really looked upset out there.” Johnny Rocket:“Male has his number DM! That’s twice now that he’s beat him, right in the middle of the ring. That’s how you lead a team. It’ll be hard for Bloodline to get his guys behind him after that loss. Speaking of which, time to see the final members of each team…” The big screen reveals the final four draft picks of the Infinity Challenge as the teams are now complete… #15 Pick (Abroz) – Gryt #16 Pick (Dialectas) – Plethador #17 Pick (Abroz) – Scimitar #18 Pick (Dialectas) – Rotunda DragonMaster:“So the final four picks have been made and the team rosters have been set. I’m guessing Plethador is hopping mad at getting picked so low when he was predicting big things for himself!” Johnny Rocket:“You better stick to the play by play and let me do the jokes around here DM! That was about as awful as Dialectas’ last few picks!” DragonMaster:“I guess everyone is a critic! Up next, we say goodbye a GWF icon, but not before one last match, take a look at this…” A video package begins to play highlighting the GWF career of Wolf. From his start as a member of the Gladiators through the Fatal Showdown with Monolith, the retrospect shows his numerous title victories, his brutal hardcore battles, and ends with a slow motion shot of Wolf giving his signature, howling yell. Farewell Match Wolf pinned Paralyze at 17:40 The GWF’s original wildman went toe to toe with the ruthless Aethran, Paralyze, in a match that saw more action outside the ring than inside. The two warriors punished and bloodied each other with brutal shots to the ring posts, steps, announce table and anything else they could put their opponent’s head into. Neither man would cave and the crowd was ravenously behind the Andromedan and chanted his name loudly, rocking the GWF’s home arena. However, after two devastating Permanently Paralyzeds, it looked like Wolf’s farewell match was going to be a loss. However, as Paralyze lifted him up for a third, Wolf surprised him with a Skullcrusher before locking in the Savage Face Claw for what could be the last time. Following the match, the crowd at the sold out Deimos Intergalactic Arena littered the ring with streamers and provided the legend with a standing ovation, showing him their admiration and appreciation. Battered and bruised, Wolf headed to the top of the ramp and acknowledged the crowd with his signature howl before departing. DragonMaster:“A touching farewell to one of the legends of the GWF! Vintage Wolf as he goes out on his terms, bloodied and alone.” Johnny Rocket:“That was a brutal match! I give both guys props for enduring that much damage, but, Wolf goes out on a high note… although, I have a feeling that might not be the last we see of the Wildman!” Next, the Gladiators made their way to the ring for the match to determine the new GWF tag team champions to what was audibly the loudest boos of the night. This was matched only seconds later as Encubus made his way down the entrance ramp towards the ring. As he walked out, his entrance video on the giant holoscreen above the entranceway began to distort and started to play his father’s entrance video from his early days as the rule-breaking Gamemaster. Once he realized, Encubus appeared angered and shot a menacing look towards the production crew backstage who threw their hands in the air indicating they were just as surprised as he was. At that point they switched to Sly Drury’s entrance instead, who made his way out with GWF security in tow and We Run This Fed! made their way to the ring. At this point, Drury turned to his security guards and sent them to the back as a sign of good will to the Aethrans, assuring his partner they had nothing to worry about in this friendly exhibition. GWF Universal Tag Team Championship Match The Gladiators and We Run This Fed! wrestled to a draw at 9:50 in a match to award the currently vacant GWF Tag Team Titles, match stopped due to referee losing control after outside interference The match which was influenced by the Dark Menace on Monday night and eventually agreed to by the newly formed alliance of “co-commissioners” Sly Drury and the Aethran Overmaster turned out to be a more intense contest than may have originally been expected. Perhaps both sides were looking to stake a dominant position in the alliance, but whatever the case the friendly competition got heated quickly. Encubus and Turmoil started things out and with each move, picked up the intensity. At one point, Encubus failed at four straight pin attempts on the newest Gladiator and his frustration was clearly evident. While the Gladiators worked well as a team for their first outing, Encubus did most o the work for his team while Drury picked his opportunities wisely. Rush and Turmoil seemed poised to win the vacant gold as Rush hit a wild springboard throw off of the ring apron, sending Drury flying into the crowd. Turmoil, who had been perched on the top turnbuckle with a maniacal look on his face, crashed down onto Drury (and several unfortunate fans who did not realize what was about to happen) with an insane suicide dive, knocking both men out cold. While Rush surveyed the carnage from the ring apron, Encubus blindsided him from behind and pulled him back into the ring before locking on the Maffei Masterlock. Before the referee could get into position to see if Rush would submit, two men hit the ring and began assaulting Encubus and Rush. MMA fans quickly recognized the men as Clinch and Shoot, successful MMA champions from Trifid Nebula. As the referee signaled for the bell, Clinch pounded on Encubus with his fists before pulling him off of Rush and delivering a flying kick to the head, knocking him out of the ring. Shoot, who had had Rush locked in an arm-trap triangle choke, transitioned into a grinding leg submission maneuver while Clinch began pounding on the trapped Aethran with brutal fists to the head and body. At this point, GWF security rushed the ring, causing the ultimate fighters to relinquish their hold and bail up the entrance ramp. As Clinch and Shoot backed up the ramp towards the locker room area, taunting the men in the ring (including Drury, Encubus and Turmoil, who had recovered by this point), they were joined at the top of the ramp by the Dark Menace. The three men laughed and shook hands as the Alliance looked on, seething with rage. DragonMaster:“I can’t believe what we just saw! The Dark Menace may have just pulled off his biggest play yet in this war with Drury, convincing the Alliance to take themselves out then jumping them when they were at their weakest!” Johnny Rocket:“Yeah DM, it looks like the bad boys from Trifid Nebula, Clinch and Shoot have decided to try their hand at wrestling and they picked the biggest party on the block to crash! You know this isn’t going to sit well with Drury and his Alliance by any means!” DragonMaster:“Well, I for one am happy to see Drury get a taste of his own medicine for once…” Johnny Rocket:“(interrupting as to cut off his partner before he said too much) I can’t wait to see what happens next, as you know this feud is just beginning! But right now, it’s time for our main event!” The Main Event! GWF Universal Heavyweight Championship Match Aethran Overmaster pinned Havoc at 8:08 to retain the GWF Heavyweight Championship It was obvious that the Gothic Ex-Aethran was in no shape for this match following the events of the last holovision broadcast. Despite that, and being heavily bandaged, he valiantly made his way to the ring for the championship match. Clearly upset at what just transpired in the previous match, the champion took his frustrations out on his foe. The much larger champion had no trouble taking out his injured challenger and proceeded to brutally pummel him, almost toying with him as he refused to make the pin. After two devastating Reigns of the Overmaster, the referee threatened to stop the fight if the Overmaster did not end it himself. Suddenly, Havoc surprised his rival with a series of blows before the all-too-brief comeback was crushed with a Revolutionary Spear and one last Reign of the Overmaster for good measure. The Overmaster stood over his downed foe and raised the GWF Heavyweight Title above his head in a sign of dominance amidst an overwhelming chorus of boos to close out the show. ©2125 GWF. Thanks! I'm trying to get back into things, but I have some catching up to do with 2125 now that the little guy is finally a little older.
I get a little carried away with my writeups, but am trying to throw in 'condensed review' posts after each card to get to the highlights.
Thanks for the compliments!

Card #4 - 1/15/25 Monday Night Mayhem Sycorax Circus - Sycorax, Uranus The show opens with a video package displaying the events that took place at Deimos Perennial. We see the Alliance members engaging in a hard fought, physical match. Highlights include Turmoil’s suicide dive onto Drury in the crowd and Encubus locking the Masterlock on Rush. We then see the Ultimate Fighters hit the ring and take out both men before cutting to a clip of the Dark Menace shaking hands with the two MMA fighters and the three laughing and taunting the men in the ring. The video shifts to The Overmaster’s brutal beatdown of Havoc, including him hitting his finisher multiple times, picking Havoc up to break pin counts, and finally putting him away before standing over his fallen opponent with his fist raised in the air in victory. The opening to Monday Night Mayhem plays and pyro goes off as the sold out crowd at the Sycorax Circus on Uranus makes some noise. Your announcers tonight are DRAGONMASTER and JOHNNY ROCKET, with MOT AND KRAM running interview duty… The Alliance members, Co-Commissioners SLY DRURY and THE AETHRAN OVERMASTER along with RUSH, TURMOIL and ENCUBUS, flanked by the GWF Security Squad, make their way to the ring amidst a chorus of boos to start the broadcast. Drury tells the crowd to shut their mouths as he is not in the mood tonight (which, of course, draws even more heat). Drury tells us we were witnessing a 5 star classic between the two greatest tag teams in the history of the GWF last night before the match was ruined by a pair of street thugs, who he might add, do not have GWF contracts. He announces that a rematch will be held at the next supershow, Cosmic Clash 190, and that this time GWF Security will be at ringside to ensure that there are no repeats of last Sunday… and if the Ultimate Fighters show up anywhere even remotely close to a GWF ring again, they’ll be arrested and the GWF will prosecute! Encubus chimes in and says that the worst thing about what happened was that he had Rush on the verge of submitting and two seconds more and he’d have been a champion right now. Rush takes offense and two begin to trash talk, with Turmoil joining in after Encubus accuses him of being out of control and nearly killing Drury with his suicide dive. As Drury and the Overmaster attempt to diffuse their respective team members, they are interrupted by the music of THE DARK MENACE who came out to the top if the ramp. The Dark Menace laughs and says that his plan worked perfectly. He manipulated everyone in the ring into fighting amongst themselves, and not only that, but they are still fighting with each other. Then, when they had already worn themselves down, he made his move and took them out. He also told Drury not to worry about their contracts, because he just signed the Ultimate Fighters, Shoot and Clinch, to his team Covert Operations! The crowd cheers wildly at this news, but Drury says not so fast and that the commissioners must sign off on all contracts for new GWF wrestlers… and he will never sign their contracts! The Overmaster interrupts and says that when an Aethran is disrespected, they must have vengeance. As co-commissioner, HE will sign their contracts and the vengeance begins tonight as they will face the Gladiators in individual competition. At first, Drury appears to be angry from the Overmaster going over his head, but then keeps it in check. The Dark Menace then turns his attention towards the Overmaster and accuses him of not being a true champion, saying a real champion would take on a challenger at 100% and let the battle determine who is the best man. Instead, he was a coward who sent his underlings to do his dirty work. Of course he could beat HAVOC when Havoc could barely even make it to the ring, but he could never beat him at full strength. The Overmaster is furious and tells the Dark Menace that Havoc better heal quickly because he’ll give him a rematch at the Cosmic Clash, but this will be his last chance because this time he is going to end his career! *** Commercial *** Shoot forces Rush to submit at 8:20 Shoot managed to keep Rush grounded the entire match in various MMA style grappling holds, negating his high-flying offense and not allowing him to get any offense. The Ultimate Fighter finally ended the match after locking his opponent in the anaconda vice maneuver known as Tap Out, and forcing the submission victory. *** Commercial *** Inside the Infinity Challenge Locker Room American Guy is at his locker when Tanck approaches him and gets in his face. He tells him that he should have never beaten him in the battle royal last week and should have never been drafted ahead of him. American Guy shot back that he did and he was and what is Tanck gonna do about it? (This garnered him some cheers from the crowd) Tanck growled that Guy was lucky last week and that he is going to be the more dominant force in the Infinity Challenge and he was going to prove it at the Cosmic Clash. But he doesn’t need to wait until then to start kicking his ass and challenged Guy to an “Over the Top Rope” challenge for later tonight. Guy just smirked and said you’re on. We then see Bloodline in the background, apparently studying some tape of his match with U.S. Male at Deimos Perennial. He is interrupted by Tricks who calls him a broken down old man and says that he should be the captain of the team, after all he actually won his title match, patting the title on his shoulder. Bloodline responds by saying he saw how Tricks won the match, and he wasn’t impressed. He’ll win next time, and it will be clean in the middle of the ring. Tricks fired back that he does whatever it takes to win and to score points, and Bloodline used to understand that but now he is nothing more than a joke. Bloodline tells him we’ll see how good Dark Futures are when they have to face Leaders of the Pack next week in a rematch, but this time there will be two referees. Bloodline smirks and goes back to his tape and Tricks fights back his obvious anger. Vidtek’s Video Lounge With special guest, Nitro Vidtek welcomed his partner on Team Dialectas to the ring for this edition of his Video Lounge interview show. Vidtek started off by saying it was a pleasure to be on the same team as Nitro for the Infinity Challenge and it was a no brainer that they would win. While they were clearly meant to be the singles stars on the team, maybe they’d even have to team up some time to rack up some big points together! But the big question on everyone’s mind, why did Nitro turn on his long-time partner Tristan? Nitro, who looked even more cocky and arrogant than ever before, laughed and answered by saying that he was sick of being held back by his worthless partner. He was the one who carried the team and he was the real superstar. Guys like Tristan and even Lord Nexus were jealous of his wrestling ability, his good lucks, his ability to get the ladies, and most of all his power. He laughed again and flashed a cocky smile as he shot a blast of red energy into the air. All the Titans did was try to tame him and control him, tell him what to do… but no more! Now he has real friends, people like him and people who get him! People like Vidtek and… the Master Race! With that, Thraxx and Zygon made their way to the ring and joined their Infinity Challenge partners. Nitro said that everyone needs to say hello to Energy Incarnate! The three men posed to loud boos from the crowd. Zygon said they would be changing their names back to the Master Race at Nitro’s suggestion since, after all, they are the best tag team in the GWF. They then promised to destroy Titan Blood for being drafter before them to which Nitro responded they could have what was left of Tristan after he humiliates him at Cosmic Clash. All four men laughed and posed as we go to commercial. *** Commercial *** Over the Top Rope Challenge The challenge ended in a draw at 4:12 The rules to the ‘Over the Top Rope Challenge’ were described as whoever was able to knock their opponent over the top rope and to the arena floor first would win. The two big men wasted no time laying into each other with wild punches. Both competitors came close to eliminating the other, but ultimately they ended up tumbling over the top rope and to the floor together. American Guy hit a big clothesline near the ropes, the momentum of which carried both men over the top to the outside at the same time. Rematch Clause After the match, we see Commissioner Drury in his office with his feet up on his desk talking to someone on the phone. He is interrupted by an angry Phantasy who demands to exercise her rematch clause for the Womens Title. To Co-Commissioner tells her that shes lucky he doesn’t just terminate her contract after everything she did to him. If it wasn’t for him giving her favors, she would never have even been the womens champion in the first place. Instead, he is going to keep her around and make her life a living hell from now on. She can have her rematch, as it is a GWF rule that champions who lose their title get an automatic rematch, but she will get a rematch of the exact match she lost the title in… a handicap match against Strafe and Mother Superior. The match will be next week on Mayhem, and if Sultana interferes this time, both women’s contracts will be terminated. Phantasy storms off furiously as Drury just laughs and goes back to his phone call. *** Commercial *** Clinch defeats Turmoil at 13:09 The MMA fighter surprised Turmoil and dominated him almost the entire match, controlling the bout with a wide array of MMA style strikes. He nearly put the match away on a number of occasions, but the Aethran managed to kick out repeatedly causing several near falls. At the end of the match, Turmoil took a breather outside the ring to escape the onslaught, only to be nailed with a flying plancha from his opponent on the arena floor! Clinch rolled his opponent back in the ring and picked up the 1, 2, 3. The Ultimate Fighters sent a message to the Gladiators tonight, clearly getting the better of their foes on both occasions! The Enforcer! We see Paralyze backstage watching the previous match on a monitor, in disbelief and frustrated over his teammates performances tonight. He is interrupted by a cocky Anivar who openly mocks the larger Aethran for his teammates losing to the Ultimate Fighters tonight and for him losing to Wolf at the pay-per-view. Paralyze becomes irate and responds at least Wolf is a GWF legend and former Gladiator… who exactly is he? A nobody! Anivar shoves his tattooed fists right in Paralyze’s face and says he is The Enforcer! Enraged at the sign of disrespect, Paralyze slaps Anivars hands away and pushes him backwards, yelling at him to get out of his face. Anivar just laughs and walks away leaving the red-hot Gladiator behind. *** Commercial *** Interplanetary Title Match Tauran wins by disqualification at 8:39 Commissioner Drury awarded an Interplanetary Title match to Bishop Hell after he pinned Tauran in the six-man match at Deimos Perennial. The champion controlled most of the match and had several near falls. When it looked like he was about to put things away after connecting with a Victory Star Drop, Coven Black and Nosfera hit the ring and attacked him to draw the disqualification. The Final Rogue Revealed? Following the match, a three on one beatdown ensued. The crowd went wild as Endgame, Ensor and Retribution stormed the ring. Retribution clotheslined his blood enemy, Nosfera, over the top rope and two two tumbled to the floor, continuing their wild brawl into the crowd. Ensor started throwing punches with Coven black and Bishop Hell bailed to the floor as Endgame knelt down to check on Tauran. Suddenly the lights went out, sending the arena into darkness. Fans screamed in panic as flames shot from the four corners of the ring. A familiar (to aCe fans at least) sound of tribal drums and chanting began to play as an eerie red light illuminated the ring. The Heathen Chief, PAGANAX, was in the ring and he had both Coven Black and Ensor goozled by the throat. Endgame looked up at him, with a confused look. The big man looked first at Ensor, then at Black and finally at Endgame, locking eyes. He then threw Black to the mat and let out a monstrous, primal scream before hoisting Ensor high in the air and crashing him down to the mat with a thunderous clothesline! He beat his chest violently and let out another scream as he continued to stare at Endgame. Mind Games Sly Drury is shown sitting in his commissioner’s office watching the events that just unfolded on a large holovision screen. He laughs and smiles at what just transpired. He spins around in his chair to sit at his desk and sees a teddy bear sitting on his desk. His face goes white as a ghost as he slams his chair backwards in disbelief and he actually begins to tremble as the camera zooms in on his look of disbelief as we fade to black. ©2125 GWF.
