GALAXY CLASH (Card 297)
Morpheus enters Wolf’s locker-room.
Morpheus: Wolf, thank you for the, uh, favor last week.
Wolf: It was kinda boring. That thing never fought back. I didn’t even bleed.
Morpheus: Believe me, I know. Hopefully we will not have to be bothered by him for long. Anyway, I wanted to show you my appreciation.
Wolf: Are you going to offer me a fight?
Morpheus: Oh yea…
The show begins
All the lights in the arena go out. Four spot-lights shine on the ring. Morpheus stand alone showed in shadows.
Morpheus: I stand in the very ring where a grand travesty occurred four weeks ago. One of the great events in the GWF fell into the hands of one of our roster-fillers, Mimic.
A highlight package is shown of Mimic’s victory at BattleZone X, followed by his travails over the last month.
Morpheus: Tonight, this dark era will come to an end as the Mighty Grogan avenges his BattleZone loss to Mimic and returns him to the nether-regions of the undercard. I only wish that you, our loyal fans, did not have to experience this week of dread.
The arena lights turn on.
Morpheus: But enough of the sorry state of the Federation. We have a great card for you tonight, starting with a #1 Contenders match with the winner facing the Junior Champ at the Big Bang.
Gunfire is heard, followed by sirens. Suddenly an entire cadre of security guards fills the ramp area, escorting Commander Krakan. One of the security guards try’s to take Krakan’s arm but Krakan delivers a vicious clothesline to him. The other guards pull him off the downed guard, but keep a safe distance after saving their comrade.
Krakan enters the ring, and takes the mic.
Krakan: Morpheus, you won the match last week, so I guess I am stuck with these guys, but I am not responsible for their safety. I hope you have offered them a good medical plan.
Morpheus: Galactic Law still applies, Krakan.
Krakan: HA HA HA!!! You think the great COMMANDER KRAKAN cares about your galactic laws? I am not worried about this. I will make it work for me, like I make everything work in my favor. So tell me, Morpheus, Who am I facing tonight?
Morpheus only smiles as the Aethran War Anthem begins to play, along with the sound of howls.
Wolf runs to the ring.
Wolf over Commander Krakan by Decapitator - #1 Contender Match - Match quality: * * * * * (Match of the Night) - Wolf: 8-5; Krakan: 7-8 - Wolf 5-match winning streak - Wolf earns a shot at the Jr belt at the Big Bang PPV - This match was an instant classic. Although it was back and forth, Wolf was never actually in trouble. Wolf had to hit the Decapitator three times before Krakan succumbed.
Omega goes to the ring.
Omega: GWF fans, can you believe that match? The talent we have here in the GWF is second to none. I suspect that Krakan and Wolf will be battling for all the belts we have to offer here in the GWF in the coming years. But there will be plenty of time to think about tomorrow later. Let’s get back to tonight’s action.
A video package is played recapping the Code Enforcer / Vice feud, including the brawl that led to Code Enforcer’s injury, and the trading of the title back and forth between Vice, Krakan and Enforcer.
Omega: First, the challenger. He is making his first appearance in the ring since his injury suffered at the hands of his opponent tonight. He is the three-time former GWF Junior Champion… CODE ENFORCER!!!
Police sirens sound as the Enforcer makes his way to the ring.
Omega: His opponent… He is the defending three-time GWF Junior Champion… VICE!!!
Vice’s heavy metal theme begins to play before it is interrupted by the police sirens. The security contingent fills the ramp area before he makes his way out. Vice acts like he does not even notice the security guards and makes his way to the ring.
GWF Junior Championship Match Code Enforcer over Vice by Code Crowbar - Match quality: * * * * - Enforcer: 8-2; Vice: 9-6 - Code Enforcer wins the Jr Belt for the 4th time - A brutal match from start to end. Code Enforcer was almost DQed on numerous occations.
Cosmos is in the locker-room getting ready for his match.
Star Warrior: Dude, you know I will be in your corner if you want me there.
Cosmos: I don’t need you now. I am not sure I ever needed you.
SW: Come on, man. I know you want to concentrate on your singles career now. I get that. But the world is not out to get you. My dad will make it right.
Cosmos: Do you even listen to yourself?
SW: What?
Cosmos got up and headed for the ring.
Cosmos over Santon by Count Out - #1 Contender Match - Match quality: * * - Cosmos: 5-3; Santon: 4-10 - Cosmos earns shot at the IP belt at the Big Bang PPV
Star Warrior goes to the ring to congratulate his partner.
SW: See, Cosmos? I always knew…
Cosmos leaves the ring without speaking with his partner. Star Warrior looks on in shock, then leaves the ring area to go to the back.
Silvar is in the back with Sam.
Silvar: Sam, your match with Hechilles is coming up in just a minute. How are you feeling?
Sam: I am focused. I am ready. I went into real battles during the war, so this is nothing.
Silver: But Sam, you got pinned by Omega last week. How does that affect your momentum entering your match with Hechilles tonight?
Sam: Everyone is entitled to a bad night every now and again. Mine was last week.
Silvar: But Omega had been winless on the season, until you. That has to eat at you.
Sam: What was your record when you were a wrestler here in the GWF, Silvar? Why don’t you answer that question?
Sam leaves to go to the ring.
Silvar: What did I say?
GWF Inter-Planetary Championship Match Hechilles over Commander Sam by pinfall - Match quality: * * * * - Hechilles: 12-3; Sam: 7-8 - Hechilles wins the IP Belt for the 3rd time - Hechilles 5-match winning streak
Hechilles tries to help Sam up and offers his hand in gratitude for a great match. Sam rips his hand away and storms out of the arena. Caiman comes to the ring to celebrate with Hechilles before his own match.
Caiman over Torin Caelum by DQ - Match quality: * * - Caiman: 9-5; Caelum: 3-11 - Torin Caelum 8-match losing streak
Silvar is in the back, speaking with Wolf.
Silvar: Wolf, nice match against Krakan earlier tonight.
Wolf: I love great matches. They really get my blood boiling.
Silvar: I can see that. But what is up with you entrance music?
Wolf: What about it?
Silvar: Well, it seemed last week that Brute and Massacre did not want you to alter the Aethran War Anthem.
Wolf: I didn’t alter it. I just sang along to it. HHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWLLLLLLL!!!!!!
Wolf walks off laughing.
K.O. Keller over Morpheus by Ten Count - #1 Contender Match - Match quality: * * * - Keller: 7-4; Morpheus: 3-7 - Keller earns a shot at the Galactic belt at the Big Bang PPV
GWF Tag-Team Championship Match Defiance over Estorians by DQ - Match quality: * * * * - Defiance: 9-3; Estorians: 9-4 - Estorians defend the belts for the 5th time since winning them at card 287 (4-1) - This was a back-and-forth match, but not very technical. Parsec and Tantalis were beating on Blood until Blood was able to make the hot tag to Jammer. Jammer came in and cleaned house until he was able to lock in the Bad Night on Tantalis. Blood came in to break the hold, but the ref called for the DQ. Jammer, irate that they missed their chance at the belts due to the DQ locked in the Bad Night on the ref. Blood was trying to pull Jammer off when Tano ran to the ring and clothes-lined Jammer, breaking the hold. Tano jumps back up and immediately goes after Jammer again. Blood pulls him off his partner, and all three exit the arena.
Morpheus is in Grogan’s locker-room.
Morpheus: Here we are. Are you ready?
Grogan: Am I ready? We are talking about Mimic. I am not worried.
Morpheus: Neither am I. But remember, he did beat you last month in the BZ Finale.
Grogan: I was tired. No way it happens twice.
Morpheus: Good. Now get out there.
GWF Galactic Championship Match Mimic over Mighty Grogan by pinfall - Match quality: * * - Mimic: 9-5; Grogan: 9-7 - Mimic wins the Galactic Belt for the 1st time
Morpheus is watching the results of the match from his office. He drops his head into his hands.
Morpheus: No no no no no no no no no.
Omega looks over from his desk and smiles.
The lights fade…

Monday Night Wrestling (Card 298)
Morpheus is in the back, Speaking with the Gang of Three.
Morpheus: Vice, I have an offer for you.
Vice: Yea?
Morpheus. You want to lose your baby-sitters?
Morpheus nods toward the security guards.
Vice: I could really care less, but I guess they are a bit of a thorn in my side.
Morpheus: Good, I have a favor to ask of you and your friends here…
Televised Show
Omega is in the ring.
Omega: Last week was a historic night in many regards. However, it is with great regret that we have to start tonight’s show on this note.
A video package is shown from the Defiance / Estorians match at Galaxy Clash.
Omega: We cannot allow our wrestlers to attack the referees, so I am forced to do something we have never done here in the GWF. Effective immediately, Jammer is suspended for 3 weeks.
Omega somberly leaves the ring area.
Dragon Fighter over Dark Star Creature by pinfall - Match quality: * * * - DF: 4-7; DSC: 5-9 - DSC 4-match losing streak
Silvar is in the back, speaking with the Wind Riders.
Silvar: Rama how are you doing?
Rama: That maniac wrecked my leg! How do you think I am doing?
Tano: Rama will be fine. He is just a bit upset right now.
Silvar: O…K…. But while he has been out, you have been making a bit of a splash. First you had that great match against Hechilles that really got the fans’ attention, then last week you had your altercation with Jammer and Blood.
Tano: Jammer took him out a few weeks back. How can you expect me not to go after Jammer?
Silvar: But Jammer has been around for a long time. He does not have the track-record of hurting his opponents.
Rama: Look at my leg!! What kind of track record is needed?
Tano: You saw the vids. Jammer hurt Rama intentionally…
Blood sees Silvar speaking with Rama and Tano and comes over.
Blood: Tano, what were you thinking? Do you really want to get Jammer going after you?
Rama: Jammer deserves a lot more than just getting tackled. When I get clearance to get back in the ring, Jammer will be my first match.
Tano: And then we will be gunning for both of you.
Blood: Well, how about I teach you a lesson tonight?
Tano: Let’s go!!
Silvar: All right guys, calm down. Let’s do this in the ring…
Blood leaves for his locker-room.
Silvar: Not sure it is a smart move to take those guys on, but it should be a fun match.
Tano: I have no choice. This is for Rama.
Tano and Rama leave to prepare for the match.
Meanwhile...
Lord Nexus is already in the ring when the Aethran War Anthem begins to blast in the Arena. Massacre and Brute step onto the ramp and make their way to the ring.
Brute over Lord Nexus by DQ - Match quality: * * * - Brute: 1-2; Nexus: 5-6
Krakan is in the back speaking with one of his security detail.
Krakan: Neither of us likes this situation. What do you say we work together to benefit the both of us?
Guard: Look sir, I am only doing my job. Omega and Morpheus are signing my checks, so I listen to them.
Krakan: I am a man of many resources, you know.
Guard: I do not want to cause waves. I have to go.
The guard walks off and Krakan looks frustrated.
Tano over Blood by pinfall - Match quality: * * * * - Tano: 1-1; Blood: 0-3 - Rama was at ringside. After the back-and-forth match, Rama jumped into the ring and hit Blood in the leg with his crutch. Hechilles: Shoot.
Caiman looks down at Hechilles IP Belt.
Caiman: We have our Gold Divisssssion match next week. Let’ssssssss make it interessssssssssting.
Hechilles: You want this? That sounds fun. You’re on.

The next match is announced as Mighty Grogan vs Vice. Grogan comes to the ring first and is waiting in the ring.
The heavy metal theme of Vice begins to play, followed by the typical sirens of the security officers. Vice breaks from the security team and sprints to the ring and immediately attacks Grogan. Sin and Salvation then come down and Sin joins in on the attack while Salvation looks on in concern. Grogan is completely overcome by the double team and is unable to protect himself.
Code Enforcer appears on the ramp and tries to get to the ring to save Grogan, but is delayed by all the security. By the time he gets to the ring, it is too late; Grogan is unconscious.
The match is ruled a no-contest.
Commander Sam over Cosmos by Sam’s Atomic Drop - Match quality: * * * * - Sam: 8-8; Cosmos: 6-3
Morpheus is in the office with a big smile on his face when the door crashes open and Omega storms in.
Omega: What was that? Did you instruct those crazies to take out Grogan?
Morpheus: Why would I do that? Grogan is my friend.
Omega: Are you that deranged about Mimic that you will go after Grogan?
Morpheus: I just told you, I had nothing to do with it. I am just as upset about this as you are.
Omega: So help me, Morpheus. If I find out you were behind that attack, I will…
Morpheus stands up and leans into Omega.
Morpheus: You will WHAT?
Omega picks up the monitor from Morpheus’ desk and destroys it against the wall. He then stares Morpheus in the eye and leaves.

Wolf: HHHHHOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWLLLLLLLL
Massacre: Wolf, we appreciate your wild manner, but when we agreed to allow you to enter with us, it was with an understanding that you would be here as a member of the Aethran military. As such, you need to follow orders.
Brute picks Wolf up and slams him against the wall.
Brute: Continue with the desecration of our War Anthem, and this will go much further.
Wolf: OH YEA!!! Let’s do it!!! HHHHOOOOOOOOWWWWWWLLLLLL
