I figured I would go ahead and do one of these myself.
I run a very stats heavy fed, so hopefully I can add a bit of history to each match with my disgusting amount of head to head stats, streaks, match ratings etc...
A bit of fed background...
The Fed is currently in 2085, and is pretty much stable free. I just finished my first PPV of 2085, which I will give a write up for later.
Brief history...
2073 Omega and Morpheus decided to bring more order to the wrestling world by creating a single fed for the big names of the POW and other regional feds to compete. They were able to get stars K.O. Keller and Torin Caelum to agree almost immediately to join the new fed. Soon after, Omega was able convince a young veterain from the Galactic Wars to join. This man was named Commander Sam.
By September, they were able to add Bullwhip and Blacklash to the roster, which made big news and really placed the new fed on the map.
By the end of the year, they were able to add one more tag team, Thetis and Vortex, as well as an unknown wrestler named Santon the Loner. This brought the roster at years end to 10.
2074 With the league set to hold it's first card in early February of the new year, Omega and Morpheus wanted to add one more to the roster so they could get each wrestler an even 10 matches in a round robin-type schedule.
They were not able to get any more "known" wrestlers to commit, since the existing feds began threatening their current rosters to avoid contact with the startup. In late January, they were able to find an unknown from Cygnus named Torpor to join. There were rumors that this signing was actually a favor to the Cygnus government to show that the Fed would be able to last. Reports indicated that Morpheus had another wrestler in the Cygnus system he wanted to get into the league.
The roster was set at 11, and the fed was ready to start, but not without some drama.
Durado Sundown (Blacklash and Bullwhip) and the CrossCurrents (Vortex and Thetis) were both brought in as tag teams, but the new league did not have any tag matches scheduled for the first year of operations. Both teams expressed anger and frustration at the situation developing.
The wrestlers were assured that a tag division would be set up by 2075, and were asked to have some patience in the formation of the new league. Although both teams remained under contract and appeared at all shows, it was rumored that Durado Showdown were NOT happy.
The first year consisted of 11 small shows and one large December PPV featuring a tournament to cap off the first year of the fed.
The first "regular season" ended with Morpheus having the best record (8-2) and earning the top seed in the inaugural Year End Tourney. All wrestlers were in the tourney except Torpor (1-9), Vortex (2-8) and fan favorite rookie, Commander Sam (2-8).
Tag team specialist Thetis made the tournament, and was quoted as saying "If I made the 'post season' of this league as a singles wrestler, I am not sure what the future holds for this thing. I didn't even want to wrestle singles matches." Thetis retracted these comments a week later in a written statement released from the GWF front offices. In a press conference, Thetis said "Of course I am excited to be in the tourney. It is a big deal. I was just trying to be funny."
The first tourney took place with Omega defeating Torin Caelum in the finals.
After the card, Omega stated in a press conference that they would make an announcement about further GWF operations sometime in January of 2075. It had been known that all contracts signed had only been for one year, so this was not a huge surprise. No one, however, expected the league to have much trouble continuing for a second season.

2075 On January 22, 2075, Omega and Morpheus held their long awaited press conference.
It was announced that the GWF would, in fact continue for many years to come, and they had sign a number of long contracts for arenas, TV and PPV deals. They added that there would be considerable changes to how the league would be run and that there would be no cards until March at the earliest.
Through the next few weeks, details of the new format trickled out. The schedule would be changed from 12 cards over 12 months to 30 cards over 6 months, starting in April. There would be a weekly Monday holo-vid show every Monday with a monthly PPV. The season would still conclude with the End of Year Tourney, but there would be two more major PPV events thrown into the mix.
The second PPV of the year (May) would feature a 10-man Battle-Royal type match taking place in a three tiered ring called the BattleZone.
The second major event would take place at the July PPV called the Big Bang. This is also a Battle-Royal type match, but occurring in a normal ring.
It was also announced that there would be three formal divisions established for each wrestler to compete in. These divisions were called Gold, Pride, and Black & Blue.
The winners of the 3 divisions, as well as the winners of the BattleZone and Big Bang would all get automatic bids to the End of the Year Tourney, with the remaining spots going to deserving wrestlers via at-large bids.
The biggest announcement, however, was that the winner of the tournament would also receive the first ever GWF Galactic Title.
As for roster changes, with the promise of the development of a tag division, the GWF was able to resign both the original tag teams to long-term contracts. They were also able to get all other wrestlers from the first year to re-up. Contract terms were never announced.
By the time the fed started up again in April, 5 new wrestlers were announced as joining the ranks of the fledgling organization.
Omega was able to sign a promising young athlete from Maffei II named Cosmos. Reports were that although raw, the kid had some real talent.
Two more completely unknown wrestlers were signed by the fed based on a recommendation from one of Omega’s close friends, Solaris. These wrestlers, Actagon and Rune Larrs never discussed their past, and no records have been found of them prior to showing up with Solaris on Kronos in late February of 2075. Some more “out-there” rumors said that these two were from 1000 years in the future and wanted to assist the GWF in establishing itself as a viable league in it’s formative years. Many in the media attributed this rumor to Solaris and his history of time travel theory. Where these two actually came from has never been established.
It appeared that the GWF convinced the Cygnus government that the GWF was for real, and they cleared one of their stars, Mangus, to join Torpor in the fed. They announced they would form a team in the new tag division called Invasion.
The final announced was for yet another unknown, this one claiming to be from Dimension X. The GWF was really getting a reputation for some pretty funny back-stories for their wrestlers. This competitor went by the name of Rafaki.
Based on all the announcements, press conferences and media guides that had been distributed before the first card in April, it was expected that there would be 16 wrestlers in the GWF for 2075. However, when the final division rosters were announced during the first card, a mystery name, Mimic, was inserted into the Black & Blue division, and the total roster was 17. No explanation was ever given as to where he came from or why he never talked to the media about his history.
Omega, Morpheus and Cosmos ended up winning the singles divisions with the CrossCurrents winning the first tag division. Mangus won the BattleZone and Torin Caelum won the Big Bang. Rafaki, Santon and Bullwhip were all added to the Tourney as At-Large bids, with Morpheus defeating Omega to be the first ever GWF Galactic Champion. Morpheus was named WOY, Cosmos was ROY, and the CrossCurrents were TTOY.
Mangus got tired of carrying Torpor in their tag matches, so he ordered the lesser fighter to leave the GWF. Mangus never wrestled a tag match again. Torpor has not been seen since.
Rafaki also disappeared immediately following the season. No reports of his whereabouts have surfaced either.

2076 2086 saw a large influx of talent into the GWF, and further refinement of the divisional format.
Although the GWF saw it’s first wrestlers leave the organization (Torpor and Rafaki), they were able to sign 9 new stars to bring the roster total up to 24.
Included in the 9 new wrestlers were 4 new tag teams. Paladin Power (Moonstrike and Solar Flare), Mensans (Cordsar, Trotarus), Rock Solid (Ricken Prince, Screw) and the Wind Riders (Rama, Tano). Rounding out the rookie class was Blood. Apparently he was part of a tag team as well, but his partner, Jammer was injured in his last match in another fed against none other than Ricken Prince. Jammer was unable to compete in the GWF in 2085.
A new division was added to the mix in 2086, the Challenge Division.
The division champs were Mangus, Torin Caelum, Blacklash and Morpheus with Durado Sundown taking the Tag Division. Bullwhip won the BattleZone and Mangus won the Big Bang. Omega, Blood and Cosmos were named to the Tourney to round out the field and Torin Caelum defeated Blacklash in the finals to take the Tourney victory. Morpheus held on to the Galactic Championship the entire season.
WOY was Morpheus; TTOY was Durado Sundown; ROY was Blood.
2077 2077 saw the league stay pretty consistent roster-wise. No one left, and the only additions were Jammer, who had actually been signed the previous year but was unable to compete due to a leg injury sustained at the hands of Ricken Prince prior to appearing in the GWF, and Silvar.
Divisional play was changed again as the front office attempted to figure out how to deal with the influx of talent.
The Challenge Division was removed and tag-specialists who did not want to compete in singles matches regularly were removed from divisional play.
The Fed established a GWF Tag-Title which was established when the CrossCurrents defeated the Wind Riders at BattleZone III to win the first belts. They would lose the belts 2 months later at Big Bang 2077 to Paladin Power who held the belts the rest of the season.
Also at BattleZone III, K.O. Keller became the second ever GWF Galactic Champ when he defeated Morpheus to end his 40-card reign as Champion. He would drop the belt 2 months later at Big Bag 2077 to Omega, who lost it back to Keller almost 2 months later at the final holo-vid taping of the season, just before the Year End Tourney.
Three weeks before the end of the season, Torin Caelum and Morpheus had a match on a holo-vid program. Morpheus won the match and was about to leave the ring area when a large fan ran into the ring and began to beat Caelum. Morpheus was so shocked, he did not respond immediately. By the time he realized what was happening and began to move to Caelum’s aid, a large reptilian ran into the ring from the crowd and attacked Morpheus. By the time security and other wrestlers were able to get to the ring, Caelum had already been brutally injured. Luckily, Morpheus was able to escape injury. The next day it was announced that Caelum had suffered 4 broken ribs, a concussion and a collapsed lung. Needless to say, he was out for the season.
The next week, Morpheus and Omega stated that the best way to get revenge against the hooligans who did this to Caelum was to put the offenders in the ring against fighters who would not be blind-sided. It was announced that the fans, local tough guy fighters from a wrestling gym in the area, had been signed to GWF contracts starting the next season. The GWF had officially signed their first major heals, and no one even knew who they were yet.
Division Champs were K.O. Keller, Santon, and Bullwhip, with Defiance winning the tag division. Omega won the BattleZone and Mangus won his second straight Big Bang. Moonstrike, Rama and Morpheus rounded out the field for the Tourney, with Omega beating Keller in the finals to win his second ever Tourney.
WOY – K.O. Keller TTOY – Paladin Power ROY – Jammer

2078 2078 saw their first major defections. Bullwhip and Blacklash were unhappy with the lack of tag-team focus in the GWF, so they left for greener pastures.
With the defection of Durado Sundown, the GWF was maintaining a constant roster with the arrival of the two rookies that attacked Torin Caelum at the end of 2077. The identities of the two fans were finally revealed as Hechilles from Omicron and Caiman from Vega.
This was the first year that the GWF began using the organized divisional play that is in use today. The Pride and Black & Blue Divisions were disbanded; the top 6 wrestlers (Santon, Torin Caelum, Morpheus, K.O. Keller, Omega and Mangus) were placed in the Gold Division, and 6 established wrestlers (Rama, Moonstrike, Tano, Solar Flare, Jammer and Blood) were placed in the Challenge Division.
It was explained that the loser of the Gold Division each season would drop to the Challenge Division and the winner of the Challenge Division would be promoted to Gold. The loser of Challenge would be dropped out of divisional play and replaced by a deserving wrestler from the ranks of all non-divisional wrestlers.
The Galactic belt never found a stable home in 2078. Keller entered the year as champ, but it went from him to Torin Caelum to Commander Sam to Morpheus and finally back to Keller before all was said and done.
Rookies Hechilles and Caiman entered the fed and immediately made everyone forget about Durado Sundown. Hechilles went 11-3 and Caiman went 11-4 in their rookie campaign’s. Together, as Deadly Venom, they went 11-3, won the inaugural Tag Team Tourney, won TTOY, and they won the Tag Titles from Defiance at BattleZone IV and held on to them the entire year. Torin Caelum refused to face either one in the ring as he felt it was the wrong message to send other fans that may think attacking the contenders in the ring is the way to get into the fed.
Morpheus won the Gold Division; Solar Flare won the Challenge; Caelum won the BattleZone and Omega won the Big Bang. Keller, Sam, Hechilles and Caiman finalized the Tourney.
Omega defeated Keller for the second year in a row to win his third Tourney in 5 years. In the first Tag Team Tourney, Deadly Venom defeated Milky Way Galaxy.
WOY – Keller TTOY – Deadly Venom ROY – Hechilles
2079 In 2079, The GWF lost their second big Tag Team in as many years. Milky Way Galaxy (Actagon and Rune Larrs) and Solaris left with little fan fare. They were reportedly last seen on Kronos.
A new team showed up to replace them, however, as well the formation of a new team.
Tantalis and Parsec, from Estoria, joined the Fed and were immediately pegged to challenge Deadly Venom as the top team in the fed. Just before the season started, however, Hechilles and Caiman declared that they wanted to concentrate on singles action, and would only tag on a part time basis for the ’79 season.
This left Omega and Morpheus short one tag team, so Omega decided to bring in his son, Star Warrior, who had been a sparring partner for Omega over the last year or so. The two were good friends and formed a new tag team called GameMasters to round out the tag corps.
Screw also announced that this would be his last season and wanted to concentrate on singles action instead of tag teams. Ricken Prince teamed up with Mimic.
Mangus had lost the Gold Division in ’78, so he was now placed in Challenge. Rama lost Challenge and was replaced by Hechilles.
Torin Caelum won the Gold Division, with Mangus taking Challenge. Omega surprisingly, lost Gold and would be in Challenge in 2080. Tano lost Challenge to complete Wind Rider’s showing in the singles scene. Defiance won the Tag Division.
Screw won BattleZone and Santon won the Big Bang to join Caelum and Mangus as the automatic bids in the Tourney. Omega, Keller, Solar Flare and rookie Star Warrior rounded out the Tourney roster.
The GameMasters defeated Deadly Venom mid-way through the season to snap their 37 week reign as champs, and held the belts the rest of the season.
The Galactic Belt continued to see a lot of action. Keller entered the season as champ, but quickly lost it to Omega. Omega lost it to Caelum who gave it back to Omega who eventually lost it again to Caelum.
Omega defeated Santon in the Tourney finals to win his third straight and 4th in 6 years. At this time, there had only been one Tourney finals that Omega was not involved in (2076 – Caelum over Blacklash). In the Tag Tourney, the Estorians defeated Defiance in the finals to take their first Tourney.
WOY – Torin Caelum TTOY – Estorians ROY – Estorians

2080 For the first time in the history of the GWF, the roster shrank from one year to the next. The Mensans left the league to help support a start-up fed on their home world. Screw also retired, as he had announced at the beginning of 2079. Omega urged Hechilles and Caiman to re-enter the Tag Division to even out the roster, and they obliged. Omega was also able to convince POW veteran Mighty Grogan to sign on with the GWF. Star Warrior was promoted to fill the void in Challenge. Morpheus won Gold for the second time in 3 years and Omega joined Mangus as winning Challenge immediately after losing Gold. Mangus, however, lost for the second time in Gold. Blood lost Challenge. Grogan won the BattleZone and Keller won Big Bang. Grogan, Keller, Morpheus and Omega had automatic bids to the Tourney and were joined by Caelum, Mangus, Hechilles and Caiman. The Galactic Belt traded hands among the “big four” (Morpheus, Omega, Keller, Caelum) through out the season with Morpheus holding it for the bulk with a 15-week reign. The Tag Belts continued it’s consistency, however. Warrior and Cosmos held the title until Big Bang 2080 when they lost them to Deadly Venom. Hechilles and Caiman held the titles the rest of the season. Omega once again took the Tourney by defeating Hechilles in the finals. This was Omega’s fourth Tourney win in a row!!! In the seven year history of the Tourney, Omega has won it five times!! Deadly Venom won their second tourney when they defeated the GameMasters in the finals. WOY – Omega TTOY – Deadly Venom ROY – Grogan 2081 Not a lot of change occurred in the GWF in 2081. Ricken Prince retired, which broke up the Imperial Alliance, so Morpheus brought in Sin and Salvation from Pleides to replace the team. Hechilles and Caiman once again dropped from the tag ranks despite Omega’s pleas. Mimic, having lost Ricken Prince as a partner, took perennial undercarder Silver as a new partner. Their team was called Silent Intensity. Based on his impressive rookie year, Grogan was promoted to the Challenge division at the start of the season. Keller won Gold, Hechilles won Challenge. Morpheus lost Gold and Jammer lost Challenge so will be dropped from divisional play. Even though Deadly Venom was no longer an “active” tag team, they still held the Tag Titles most of the season, dropping them just before the Tag Tourney to CrossCurrents and snapping a 34-card reign (second only to their own previous reign of 37 cards). The Galactic belt settled down a bit with only 3 title changes during the season. Omega entered the season as Champ, but lost it to Caelum one week before BattleZone VII. Caelum was able to successfully defend the belt at the PPV, but immediately dropped the strap the two weeks later to Keller. Jammer had earned a shot at the title by winning BattleZone VII and he made the most of his opportunity by defeating Keller for his first title reign. Jammer went on to hold the belt for 22 weeks!! His reign reminded many of an old character from late 20th century cinema named Rocky Balboa. As stated above, Jammer won the BattlZone, and Omega won the Big Bang, joining Keller and Hechilles with automatic bids to the Tourney. Caelum, Grogan, Caiman and Sam all received at-large bids. Keller was able to snap Omega’s string of four consecutive Tourney victories, but he had to go through Omega to do it. The Estorians won their second Tag Tourney by defeating the Guardians in the finals. WOY – Keller TTOY – Estorians ROY – Polarity 2082 Absolutely nothing of interest happened in 2082. OK, I skipped the year and am just too lazy to write up a reason for it. Sue me

2083 No one retired or left the fed between 2081 and 2083. 3 new singles wrestlers joined the ranks however.
Vice joined Polarity and essentially formed the first “stable” in the GWF. Although it disturbed Omega and Morpheus, they remained quiet on the matter as it did not appear to be a spreading problem. Lord Nexus joined as well, and although he trained with Moonstrike and Solar Flare, they refused to join each other at ringside, so no one was concerned. Montrol also joined in ’83.
Torin Caelum won Gold and Caiman won Challenge in his first year in the division. Solar Flare’s impressive run in Gold finally came to an end as he lost Gold and will be dropped to Challenge for 2084. Moonstrike lost Challenge and will be removed from divisional play. The GameMasters won the Tag Division.
The Galactic belt once again fell into complete havoc as there were 8 total reigns during the year, 3 of which lasted only 1 week. Jammer (twice), Caelum (three times), Keller (twice) and Hechilles (once) each held the belt during the season.
CrossCurrents entered the season as Tag Champs, but the lost the belts to the GameMasters two weeks after BattleZone VIII. The GameMasters held the belts until Big Bang 2083 when they lost the straps to Polarity. Polarity held the belts for the remainder of the season.
Jammer won the BattleZone for the second year in a row, and again was able to translate that into a title reign. Grogan won the Big Bang.
Caelum, Caiman, Jammer and Grogan had auto-bids for the Tourney. Hechilles, Keller, Star Warrior and rookie Vice all got at-large bids. Omega, for the first time ever, did not receive a bid for the Tourney. A true sign of the times for the GWF. Omega was the last wrestler who had been to all Tourneys.
Grogan defeated Hechilles in the finals to win the Tourney. Deadly Venom won their third Tag Tourney by defeating Defiance in the finals.
WOY – Torin Caelum TTOY – GameMasters ROY – Vice
2084 Moonstrike and Silvar both retired at the end of 2083. Although this broke up 2 tag teams, the Tag Division had been down-sized to only 6 active teams to more mirror it’s singles counterparts, so no new teams were needed.
Four rookies joined the fed, however. Krakan, and Marcel De Sade signed together, and many thought they would be a tag team, but apparently, their signing on the same day was no more than coincidence. Another newcomer billed himself as “Big Superstar”. Not much is known of his background. The final signee, Code Enforcer, came in with a purpose. He did not like the establishment of The Gang of Three, so he intended to break them up.
Caiman won Gold with Grogan winning Challenge. Vice had been promoted to Challenge to replace Moonstrike at the beginning of the season. Omega lost the Gold Division, dropping to Challenge, and Solar Flare continued his slide as he lost Challenge. Solar Flare later announced his retirement.
Polarity held the tag straps most of the season until losing them to GameMasters just before the Tag Tourney.
Once again, the Galactic Title changed hands many times. Grogan (2), Hechilles, Keller, Caelum, Morpheus (2), and Sam (2) all held the title at one time or another through out the year.
The fed established 2 new singles belts in 2084. First, an 8-man tourney took place during the first month of the season culminating at the first PPV for the new Inter-Planetary Belt. In the finals, Cosmos became the first ever IP Champ as he defeated Mighty Grogan for the belt. He lost the belt at the next PPV (BattleZone IX) to Sam. Caiman, Solar Flare and Hechilles all added turns as the IP champ.
A new Junior Belt was also established, open to anyone with less than 3 years experience in the GWF. A 4-man tourney finished at BattleZone IX when Krakan defeated Code Enforcer to become the first ever Jr. Champ. Code Enforcer, Big Superstar and Lord Nexus each took turns as champ.
Hechilles won BattleZone and Caiman won the Big Bang. Caiman already had a bid to the Tourney by winning the Gold Division, so that opened one extra at-large bid. Sam, Morpheus, Krakan, Vice and Keller each got at-large bids.
Entering the Tourney, the race for WOY was generally considered a run away for Grogan with Sam having an outside shot if he did well in the Tourney. However, Grogan missed out on his chance for a 20-win season by losing in the first round and Sam did himself no favors by also losing in the first round. Caiman, although the #1 seed in the tourney (by winning the Gold Division), was a surprise winner as he defeated Vice in the finals.
With his Gold Division, Tourney and BattleZone victories, Caiman was able to over come a season in which he won only 16 matches (Grogan won 19) and Grogan’s long run as Galactic Champ (almost 3 months) to take Wrestler of Year honors.
Workout (Sam and Keller) defeated CrossCurrents to win the Tag Tourney.
WOY – Caiman TTOY – GameMasters ROY – Code Enforcer
