I really like how this card shows the power of the fans voice. They pretty much decide who your faces and heels are going to be and it is going to be an interesting flip to see Dorado Sundown on the face side of the fight with Omega/Morpheus. Oh and I hope Screw puts Omega down. Screw vs. Omega is the biggest match of the EC so far. I can't wait to see how the dice roll out that match. Glad you like the crowd reactions. That is one thing I am focusing on. Most of the time, they are being prompted by Morpheus' plants. But the Dorado reaction was unplanned (even by me). It will be fun to see the Dorado's booked as faces and The Guardians booked as heels (even though they still act like faces). Thanks for reading! |

This points a finger to exactly what it was about this fed that I really liked. The fans have a life of their own!! Thanks Dharneth for pointing this out! GREAT JOB CAKE!!! I am so glad that the fans are coming across as a character. One of the things I wanted to focus on in the Early Classics era was how the GWF went from an upstart promotion to the galaxy wide phenomenon we all know and love. The fan's reaction to the wrestlers and the action is a big part of this. Of course, it is also fun to have Morpheus influence the fans with his 'plants'. Glad you guys are enjoying this aspect of my fed. THere will be more of it coming. |

Great stuff, cakejedi! I just read the whole thread in one sitting. The storytelling is awesome! As you know, I just started in 2087, so reading your fed is a great way for me to learn about these classic characters.

Omega walks into Morpheus’ office. He has heavy circles under his eyes. Morpheus looks up from his desk.
“You look horrible!”
“I did not sleep. I spent all night trying to figure out what went wrong last night.”
“I thought we agreed that if the ticket sales were down, we were going to bring back Gina?”
“No, not that... Well, yeah, I guess that is a small part of it. But…they booed me last night. The GWF is supposed to be about honorable competition. I tried so hard to be an honorable champion. And they….they booed me.”
“That was great!”
“WHAT?”
“Listen, ‘old friend’, honorable competition is great. I get that. But honorable competition in and of itself is not going to sell tickets. The fans need to connect with the wrestlers. They need to feel an attachment to the characters that compete in your ‘honorable competitions’. Most of the common, ordinary people that come to our shows are miserable in their jobs. Because of that, they hate their bosses. And as a result, they resent authority. We are the authority figures in the GWF. So the fans resent us. And they resent the fact that we are the Champions here. We just lucked out that The Dorados decided to rescue Torpor. That act of defiance made them instantly popular. The Dorados did what all those miserable fans do not have the courage to do. They stood up to Commander Sam and, due to his association with us, they spit in the face of authority. The GWF FINALLY has someone the fans want to root for. We MUST capitalize on this.”
“But I don’t want to be ‘the bad guy’.”
“You can wrestle in your ‘honorable’ fashion. You don’t have to change anything. The fans just have to perceive you as the bad guy. Trust me, ‘old friend’; this is the beginning of big things for the GWF.”
“…I…I hope so…”
“Have faith, my friend, have faith!”

Gina Willa Firestar rides up to the camera on a horse. She is wearing leather bikini top, leather bikini bottoms, and a cowboy hat with the Dorado Sundown logo on it.
“WHEW! It is hot out here!”
Gina reaches into a saddle bag and brings out a bottle of water. She takes the cap off the bottle, takes off her cowboy hat, and pours the water over her head.
“But it is not as hot as it is going to be at the Deimos arena for the next GWF card. That is when Screw, the most impressive man I have ever seen, challenges Omega for the GWF Heavyweight Championship. And my new heroes, the Dorado Sundown, team up with that cute little alien Torpor to take on that hot head Commander Sam and Defiance in an exciting six man tag team match! I hope I will see you there!”
Gina turns the horse around and rides off towards the horizon.

GWF Card #6
March 2075
Deimos Arena
Attendance 8,217 (Capacity 27,000)
-Morpheus walks into Screw’s locker room. Screw is attached to an IV.
“I see you are eating dinner. Too bad you can’t taste the joy of a nice steak.”
Morpheus walks up to Screw and slaps him on the chest.
“Tonight is your night! You will be the biggest star in the GWF. No matter what happens tonight, make sure that Omega does not stand triumphant in that ring. NO MATTER WHAT! Do you understand?”
Screw nods his head.
“Good.”
Morpheus walks out of the Screw’s locker room and turns on his communicator.
“Are your men in place? Good. And you know what to chant and when? Good.”
Morpheus turns off the communicator. He walks into his office where Gina Willa Firestar is waiting.
“Miss Firestar, you understand what your promo is about tonight?”
“Yes sir.”
“Good. Make sure you are extremely enthusiastic during your promo. You know, lots of jumping up and down and clapping your hands, okay?”
“Yes sir.”
“Good”
Morpheus reaches into a desk drawer and pulls out a very small bag.
“This is what I want you to wear for your promo. You better go and get dressed.”
“Yes sir.”
Gina leaves Morpheus’ office.
Morpheus pours a glass of Romulan ale. He takes a drink.
“Now that all of that is taken care of, it is time for me to work out how I will make ‘Morpheus’ into the top character in the GWF.”
-GWF HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
The Guardians: Omega (1) & Morpheus vs. The Mensans: Cordsar (1) & Trotarus
The Mensans walk to the ring. Cordsar takes a microphone.
“I want to thank Dorado Sundown for what they said here last month. They had the courage to say what everyone in the locker room is thinking. The GWF is corrupt. I told you that when Omega and Morpheus left me out of the GWF Championship Tournament. Omega and Morpheus, your cover is up. The Mensans and The Dorados have exposed you for the power hungry frauds that you are. Now we will take those Tag Team gold medals from around your necks.”
The Guardians walk to the ring to the boos of the fans.
The Mensans focus their attack on Morpheus. They keep throwing him out of the ring, inflicting damage, and then rolling back into the ring. Morpheus finally gets frustrated at being thrown out of the ring and grabs a chair and hits Cordsar over the head with it.
The referee calls for the bell, disqualifying The Guardians.
Blacklash and Bullwhip walk to the ring. Blacklash has a microphone.
“Here we go again. Another example of the corruption in the GWF. The referee only disqualified The Guardians to protect his bosses. He was clearly acting under orders of Omega and Morpheus.”
Omega grabs a microphone and begins screaming.
“HOW DARE YOU! We are honorable champions. We did not tell the referee to disqualify us. I will prove it to you. Referee, restart this match.”
The bell rings and the match begins again.
Morpheus hits TRIP TO HADES On Cordsar.
Bullwhip climbs up to the to turnbuckle and delivers a flying elbow to Morpheus’ head, knocking him unconscious.
The Mensans are disqualified.
WINNERS and STILL GWF HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM CHAMPONS: THE GUARDIANS
Morpheus is injured for one fight card.
-K.O. Keller (1) vs. Torin Caelum
Caelum hits Keller with a shoulder breaker. Keller rolls out of the ring. Caelum follows his opponent out of the squared circle. K.O. Keller grabs Torin Caelum and body slams him on the concrete floor.
K.O. Keller is disqualified.
WINNER via DQ: Torin Caelum
-Santon the Loner vs. Ricken Prince (1)
Ricken Prince and his Royal Page walk to the ring. The Page takes a microphone.
“All of you peasants of the galaxy have a once in a lifetime opportunity. His royal highness, The Prince, will select one of you lucky peasant to be his princess. Of course, once chosen, you must prove that you are a true princess by inspiring his royal highness to victory. Now, The Prince will scan this crowd of peasants and select a princess.”
Ricken Prince looks over the crowd. He sees a young blonde haired woman sitting in the third row. He points to the woman. The Royal Page walks to the fan.
“Young lady, you have been given the great honor being chosen as The Prince’s princess. Before you can prove yourself worthy, you must sign this contract. It is a one night only GWF contract. This contract says that you will not hold the GWF responsible for anything that happens to you in the ring tonight. Of course, if you prove yourself worthy of being called a princess, The Prince himself will protect you from all harm. Do you understand?”
The young girl nods her head and signs the contract.
The Page and the “princess” step into the ring.
“Kneel before your Prince.”
The young girl begins to giggle.
Ricken Prince speaks.
“SILENCE! The Prince will not be mocked. Kneel and kiss my ring or forfeit this opportunity.”
The girl kneel and kisses the ring.
The match starts.
Santon hits Ricken Prince with a SPIKE PILEDRIVER. Ricken Prince kicks out.
The Royal Page looks to the “princess” and says
“Good job, my lady.”
The young girl chuckles.
Santon goes for a deathjump. Ricken Prince raises his knees and nails Santon in the head.
The Royal Page looks at the “princess” again
“It looks like you are indeed royalty, my lady.”
Ricken Prince hits Santon with BOW TO THE PRINCE.
The referee disqualifies Ricken Prince.
WINNER via DQ: SANTON THE LONER
The Royal Page grabs the “princess” and drags her into the ring.
“I am so sorry, your highness. This wench is not your princess.”
Ricken Prince gives the young girl BOW TO THE PRINCE.
The fans boo.
Santon climbs into the ring with his sword. Ricken Prince and The Royal Page run away.
Santon looks at the girl lying unconscious on the mat. He starts to climb out of the ring but stops. He walks over to the girl, picks her up, and carries her backstage as the fans cheer.
-Commander Sam & Defiance: Blood & Jammer vs. Torpor & Dorado Sundown: Blacklash & Bullwhip
The Dorados and Torpor get a huge pop as they walk to the ring.
Blacklash and Blood fight outside of the ring. Blacklash gives Blood a body slam on the concrete floor.
The referee disqualifies Blacklash.
The fans boo loudly.
Blacklash quickly grabs a microphone.
“NO NO NO! They did it again. Omega and Morpheus ordered the referee to disqualify us at the smallest thing. The GWF is corrupt!”
Morpheus walks to ringside. He is chuckling under his breath.
“I am getting a little tired of your whining, Blacklash.”
“HAH! You are just afraid of the truth.”
“The truth? The truth is that you guys suck. The truth is that you could not beat a pregnant cow. To prove this, I am going to restart this match.”
The match begins again.
Commander Sam hits Bullwhip with STAR SPANGLED BANNER.
Torpor makes a pin save.
Sam hits another STAR SPANGLED BANNER.
Torpor makes another pin save.
Commander Sam hits a third STAR SPNGELED BANNER on Bullwhip. Both Torpor and Blacklash try to break up the pin, but are stopped by Defiance. Commander Sam gets the pin.
WINNERS: COMMANDER SAM & DEFIANCE
Morpheus takes a microphone.
“I told you, you guys SUCK. I am so tired of you talking about how corrupt the GWF is to cover up the fact that you SUCK. In fact, I am so tired of your mouths; I have a challenge for you. Omega and I will give you yet another chance to take the Tag Team gold medals from around our neck. But if you lose, neither Blacklash nor Bullwhip can say ANYTHING here in the Deimos arena. Not in the locker room. Not in line at a concession stand. And definitely not in this ring. Do you accept?”
Blacklash takes a microphone.
“Do you fans see how scared he is of the TRUTH? Omega and Morpheus want to stop the truth from getting out my shutting us up. But you cannot silence Dorado Sundown. And you cannot defeat us in a fair match. So yes, we will accept your challenge. But on one condition. It must be an “I Quit” match. That way, your little puppet referee’s cannot disqualify us for no reason or give us a fast count.”
“Not only do we accept, but the ‘I Quit’ match will be the Main Event on the next GWF card.”
The fans cheer loudly!
-Gina Willa Firestar runs to the ring. She is wearing a bikini. Over one breast is the letter “P”.
Over the other breast is the number “2”.
“OH MY VALLAH! I just heard the new single from Paladin Power’s new band P2. It is AMAZING! I am so excited! I just found out that they will be HERE next month to perform their new single LIVE! I can’t wait.”
Gina begins to jump up and down, clapping here hands. The men in the audience cheer!
“I want all of you to hear this great new song by those two cute guys. So if you come to get your picture taken with me after tonight’s show, I will give you a code to download the song for free off of Galactic Tunes! I will be in the lobby outside of section E4. I hope to see you there.”
-GWF HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Omega (CHAMPION) (2) vs. Screw (3)
The fans chant “SCREW YOU!” as they wait for the challenger to come to the ring. The chant continues for several minutes, getting louder as the minutes pass. Finally, Screw appears on the stage.
Screws entrance:
The fans go crazy, cheering loudly. Screw walks to the ring as the chant “SCREW YOU!” continues.
The Champion walks to the ring to the boos of the fans.
Screw used his power to devastate the Champion. Each time he hit a power move, the fans would chant “SCREW YOU!”
Omega used wrestling holds to counter the power of Screw.
Omega hit a COSMIC WAR DANCE, but Screw kicked out. The fans go crazy.
Screw kicks out of a second COSMIC WAR DANCE. The fans go crazy again.
Screw began to unleash a new round of offense. The momentum seemed to be going his way when out of nowhere; Omega hit a third COSMIC WAR DANCE and got the pin.
WINNER and STILL GWF HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: OMEGA
Screw stands up. Omega offers his hand to fulfill the galactic code of conduct. Screw looks at Omega’s hand. He stretches out his arm and…………………
Delivers a devastating clothesline, knocking Omega to the mat. Screw then grabs Omega’s hand and shakes it as the fans cheer.
