Spring Eruption 04.15.2119 from Dayton
- Commissioner Massif Introduction - "Good evening, fans of the GWF! We are honored that you have joined us here tonight. Our first order of business is to determine our three singles challenges for tonight. Over the last three shows, we have held seven singles matches. Those seven winners are here tonight."
The music starts, and the seven winners enter the ring: Slave Beast, Kill Prey, Reckless, Endgame, Tauran, Epoch, and Encubus.
"We shall select one man at random, who will then choose his own opponent for tonight. Then, we will repeat the process until three matches are set. The seventh wrestler will not compete tonight, but will move directly into a contenders' tournament for a GWF Championship Match. Tonight's three winners will join that man for a four-man tournament to earn a title match."
Massif reaches into a box and removes a slip of paper.
"Kill Prey"
Kill Prey walks down the line of contenders, then turns to Massif.
"I challenge Tauran!"
"Very well.", replied Massif, "Kill Prey versus Tauran."
Massif reached into the box a second time.
"Endgame."
Endgame looked over the remaining contenders. His eyes met the piercing stare of Encubus and felt his seething rage. He stroked his chin thoughtfully, then stated, "I choose Reckless".
"Reckless?", roared Encubus. "You coward! You don't have the courage to face me in the ring! Instead, you choose to protect your precious little Guardian friend?!?"
Massif stepped in front of Encubus.
"Enough!", Massif shouted, "It is decided. Endgame versus Reckless."
Massif looked at Endgame. "Not the match I might have expected... but a brilliant gambit. Well played."
Massif turned to the three remaining contenders- Slave Beast, Epoch, and Encubus. He reached into the box again and pulled out another paper. "Remember, two of you will meet tonight, and the third will advance to the contenders tournament. The choice belongs to... Epoch".
Epoch's eyes narrowed as he turned to Encubus. "This is the night you will pay for your arrogance, you fool. Your father is not here to protect you. Tonight, your insults will be repaid in full."
"Mr. Commissioner!", interrupted Slave Beast, "I humbly request your permission to fight in my master's place this evening. It is not right for the servant to rest while the master toils."
"I cannot permit that, Slave Beast. It will be Epoch versus Encubus tonight, and you, Beast, will move on to the contenders tournament! Let the matches begin."
The Guardians vs. The Society of Death for the Galaxian Tag Team Championship Valour defeated Tanck with a Violent Outburst at 23:15 Match Notes: In a spectacular match, the Society dominated Reckless and beat him down badly. Paralyze hit the Brutal Infliction twice, then flattened Reckless with The Paralyzer! Just when it looked like Reckless was finished, Valour entered the ring and cleaned house! Valour tore into both of the GameMasters, pitching Paralyze out of the ring, then going primal on Tanck and putting him down for the pinfall.
- Behind the Scenes - In the quiet of the darkened arena basement, Thantos sat at a table with Vin Strutter and Disaster.
"Make in quick, Thantos," snapped Disaster, "I have more important things to worry about tonight- like my match with Valour for the GWF Title. And your boys had best keep their beaks out of it."
"You have nothing to worry about, Disaster. We have no reason to stand in the way of you taking the title. I am concerned about the bigger picture", Thantos replied.
"Endgame", added Strutter, "we all agree that he must be stopped- but he must be stopped legitmately! If he falls victim to another sneak attack in the locker room, we could ALL face suspensions- or even banishment! I want to know who was responsible for that assault!"
"How do we know it wasn't one of your freaks?", asked Disaster.
"My men are strictly committed to following my instructions. This had to be someone acting alone", Strutter replied, "Someone with his own agenda. I suspect Sly Drury."
"That's a powerful accusation, Strutter", replied Disaster, "but it is certainly a possibility. Old man, do you know anything about that?", Disaster asked Thantos.
"NONSENSE!", snarled Thantos, "Drury is under strict orders to act only upon my command. What about Amazing Mann? That little sneak could easily have penetrated the Guardians."
"I told you once. I will tell you again, Thantos. Don't make me tell you a third time. My men are under strict orders to keep their actions legitimate. I refuse to listen to your idle threats. What are you hiding from us?", hissed Strutter.
"This is ridiculous!", growled Disaster, "I have heard enough. Gentlemen, I have a match to prepare for. Don't bother me with any more of this cloak-and-dagger nonsense until you have your own minds made up."
Disaster stormed away, leaving Strutter and Thantos to sneer and hiss at one another.
- Special Challenge - Kill Prey vs. Tauran Tauran defeated Kill Prey with a Face Lock Suplex at 4:00 Match Notes: Kill Prey was barely getting warmed up when Tauran came off the ropes with a kick to the head, then slammed him down with the Face Lock Suplex to score the victory!
- The Plot Thickens - After storming away from his meeting with Disaster and Strutter, Thantos marched to the Gamemasters' locker room. In the shadows, Sly Drury stepped out.
"Strutter is suspicious", whispered Thantos.
"Perhaps we should wait", replied Drury.
"Wait for what? For Endgame to grow more powerful? His success has already gone too far. We can no longer afford to wait."
"Easy for you to say, Thantos", hissed Drury, "You're not the one taking the risk here."
"Don't tell me you're scared, Drury. I didn't pay top dollar for you to back down from a little political heat. Just cover your tracks.", said Thantos.
Shann-Ra vs. Phantasy for the GWF Women's Championship Shann-Ra defeated Phantasy with a Machete at 13:45 Match Notes: In a hard-hitting, back-and-forth match, Shann-Ra finally prevailed after coming off the ropes and catching Phantasy with a crushing Piledriver to set up her finisher!
- Decision - Alone with his thoughts, Bloodline paced back and forth in the locker room.
Am I a pawn? Is Valour using me to protect his title?
Am I a key player in the course of the Galaxy? Does the balance of power truly rest on my shoulders?
Am I as weak and repressed as Disaster would suggest- just a helpless, weak child at the mercy of those in power?
Is this the time to stand for the protection of the galaxy?
Is this the time to stand up for myself?
- Special Challenge - Epoch vs. Encubus Encubus defeated Epoch with a Maffei Masterlock at 19:15 Match Notes: Epoch entered the match with a vengeance, still angry over the insult which he received from Encubus. But Encubus was well-prepared for the wrath of Epoch, and held his own throughout the very intense opening moments of the match.
Encubus gradually took control of the bout, using his Satanic Skullcrusher with great effectiveness.
As Epoch faded, Slave Beast hit the ring in an attempt to rescue his master! But Encubus was not surprised, and dispatched the Beast. Before the Beast could get back into the fray, The Betrayer arrived on the scene and chased the Beast away from ringside.
The outside threat averted,Encubus went back to work on the wounded Epoch and finished him off!
- Ambush! - Reckless and Endgame prepared silently for their match. Neither wrestler spoke as they laced up the boots in the musty locker room.
Reckless finally broke the silence.
"Sir... I have such respect for you..."
"Don't say it.", replied Endgame, "I expect your best match. A true champion does not hold back. Now, get out to the ring and get warmed up."
Reckless looked confused. "Shouldn't we go together?"
"Go, my son. It is best."
Reckless hesitated, then chose to trust the counsel of his mentor. He departed the locker room and made his way down the hall, then spilt the curtains into the main arena to the cheering of the fans.
The cheers were the cue for Endgame. He pushed the locker room door open, then quickly stepped back. Just as expected, a shadowy figure lunged across the doorway, only to mistime his attack as Endgame retreated. As the figure stumbled, Endgame made his move.
Endgame caught the attacker by the back of the neck and the beltline, using the attacker's own momentum to hurl him forward, face-first into the lockers. The hat fell off the figure, revealing it to be Drury.
Acting quickly, Endgame stepped behind Drury and locked him into a powerful vise-grip sleeper hold. Still stunned from the collision, Drury quickly dropped into unconsciousness. Endgame dragged the limp body to the shower stall, then lifted him by the coat and hung him from the towel hook.
Endgame made his way to the ring, stopping only briefly at the curtain to inform the arena security of the need for assistance in the Guardians' locker room.
- Special Challenge - Endgame vs. Reckless Reckless defeated Endgame with a Flying Hazard at 10:00 Match Notes: Reckless was inspired by the counsel of his mentor and came out aggressively. Keeping the match at a furious pace, Reckless used the ropes to great advantage and put Endgame on the defensive. Three consecutive Flying Hazards were more than Endgame could handle, shocking the crowd as Reckless earned a clean pinfall!
- The Champion Arrives - Valour marched to the ring, proudly carrying his championship belt. He was accompanied by Switchblade and Payback as he strode through the hallway of the arena, preparing to make his entrance.
From out of nowhere, Havoc and Paralyze stormed the entourage and launched an attack on the champion! Switchblade and Payback were prepared, but the onslaught was furious and Valour found himself enveloped in a brutal struggle.
As the roar of the combat filled the hallway, Bloodline hit the scene. He picked up a steel chair and rushed into the melee. Targeting Valour, he swung a mighty chair shot, but at the last second Payback lunged into the path of the chair and took the full brunt of the blow. Payback fell to the floor in a heap, bleeding from a gash across the forehead.
Bloodline raised the chair a second time, but this time Valour was ready. He kicked the chair, sending it smashing backward against the skull of Bloodline and knocking him to the floor. Switchblade, thinking quickly, grabbed Valour by the arm and rushed him away from the scene toward the ring for his title match.
- GWF Championship - Valour vs. Disaster for the Galaxian Championship Disaster defeated Valour with a Decapitator at 20:00 Match Notes: Disaster took advantage of the chaos before the match to gain control. He unleashed a furious arsenal in the early minutes of the match, but Valour took his best shots and kept on fighting. Valour survived the Rampage three times, and the fight continued!
Action spilled outside the ring repeatedly, where both men dished out serious punishment. The referee could barely contain the intensity of the brawl, and nearly disqualified Valour after a violent outburst. But the match was allowed to continue as the combatants could not be contained.
As the match wore on, the power of Disaster took control. He wore down Valour with the Decapitator, and after three applications, the champion was defeated!

Galaxian Aggression #11 05.01.2119 from Dayton
- Massif Announcement - Massif stands in the ring. In front of him is a table, covered by a black cloth.
"Fans of the GWF, welcome! We thank you for making our Spring Eruption Pay-per-view such a success! And congratulations to our new champions, Disaster and Shann-Ra. Congratulations also to Valour and Reckless for retaining the Tag Team Championship. The former champions will receive their rightful rematches in July at our next pay-per-view."
"Congratulations to the singles winners from Eruption as well. Tauran, Encubus, and Reckless will move ahead to join Slave Beast in the semi-finals of the tournament. The winner of that tournament will receive the Terra Trophy, and a GWF Title Match."
"This evening, I am pleased to announce three new tournaments!"
Massif pulls the cloth away from the table to reveal an array of glittering awards. He picks up a diamond-studded crown.
"First... the Queen's Crown. Each of our six ladies will enter a round-robin tournament. The winner shall receive the crown. Next, a pair of Commissioner's Rings. These rings will be presented to the winners of the Summer Tag Team Classic Tournament. Any finally, the Commissioners' Cup! "You assaulted Endgame! In his own dressing room! Why would you do such a thing?"
"For the money", Drury replied calmly.
"Who paid you?"
Drury sat silently.
"Listen, Sly. We can do this the easy way or the hard way. If you don't tell me, not only will I put you out of the GWF, I'll send you up on intergalactic charges too. Work with me, and your life will go much more smoothly", warned Massif.
Sly pondered his options. "Thantos", he confessed.
Massif stroked his chin. "Predictable," he mused, "but why should I believe you?"
Drury smirked. "What have I got to lose? When that pompous windbag brought me in, he promised to take me to the top. Instead, all I get is Thantos' dirty work and the scorn of the other Gamemasters."
Massif nodded. "Plausible. Your fate will be determined after I confer with Thantos."

Galaxian Aggression #12 05.15.2119 from Dayton
- Massif meets Thantos - "Is it true?", demanded Massif.
Massif stood behind his desk, glaring over at Thantos.
"You ignorant fool", snarled Thantos, "You are too gullible for a position of leadership."
"This is not about me", replied Massif calmly. "It's time to come clean. The allegation has been made. It can be dealt with here and now, or referred to the Galactic authorities for further investigation."
"Your threats are meaningless to me. Only a coward would bring in the Galactic officials."
"Only a coward would hire a thug to do his dirty work. Admit it, Thantos, you fear Endgame and you lack the courage to confront him yourself.", said Massif.
Thantos leapt from his seat. "I fear no one!"
Massif stood his ground. "That's the old Thantos. The Thantos of 2119 is tired and weak. Your prime is past and your influence is fading. You are irrelevant!"
Thantos' anger boiled over. He reached back and swung a mighty fist at Massif, but the Commissioner calmly reached up and deflected the blow. Massif reached forward and grabbed Thantos by the throat. Thantos' eyes bulged as Massif forced him back to the chair.
"Did you hire Drury?"
"Let me go...."
"Did you hire Drury?"
Thantos kicked his legs weakly.
"Last chance... before the authorities get involved..."
"Yes....", hissed Thantos.
Massif dropped Thantos, who collapsed back into the chair.
"Thantos, you are SUSPENDED from GWF for the remainder of 2119. If you show your face at any GWF event, you will be turned over to the authorities."
Massif took Thantos by the collar and tossed him out of the office.

The first man he encountered was Switchblade. His question was answered in a heartbeat.
"Coward!", screamed Switchblade.
Switchblade slapped Bloodline across the face. In an instant, a fierce brawl erupted. Both men rolled on top of the other in an explosion of fists and fury. Neither man gained the advantage until Havoc arrived on the scene. Havoc immediately took up the fight, helping Bloodline take control of Switchblade. With Switchblade on the floor, Havoc handed Bloodline a steel pipe.
Without hesitation, Bloodline grabbed the pipe and smashed it violently onto Switchblade. Switchblade rolled to the side just before the pipe smashed against the concrete with a resounding clang. Without warning, Tristan burst through the curtain and nailed Bloodline with a dropkick to the back! Bloodline went down, but Havoc grabbed Tristan and slammed him to the floor. Switchblade sprinted up the ramp to protect his ally as Havoc began putting the boots to him.
Before the melee could get out of control, Massif stormed onto the scene, accompanied by a horde of security guards. The guards quickly separated the brawlers as Massif picked up the microphone.

Galaxian Aggression #14 06.15.2119 from Dayton
- Massif Announcement - Fans, the Galaxian Wrestling Federation regrets that Switchblade was injured during an altercation at the last Aggression show. As a result of his injuries, he will be unable to appear tonight. It is likely that he will be out of action for several months.
Further investigation of the incident revealed that Bloodline was acting in self-defense at the time of the altercation. Switchblade has been on record issuing threats to Bloodline, so no disciplinary action will be forthcoming.
- Commissioner's Cup: Loser's Bracket - Steele Freak vs. Tanck Tanck defeated Steele Freak with a Disqualification at 7:45 Match Notes: Steele Freak held his own against the powerful Tanck for a few minutes until the big guy turned the tables and took control. - Queen's Crown - Shann-Ra vs. Lorelei Shann-Ra defeated Lorelei with a Huntress Claw at 22:45
- Celebration - "It's a good day to be a Gladiator!", roared Paralyze.
The raucous celebration in the Gladiator dressing room began the instant that the announcement about Switchblade was given.
"Here's to Bloodline!", called Havoc.
Bloodline managed a smile as the Gladiators celebrated. Disaster patted young Bloodline on the back.
"You see, my boy, you made the right decision. When you bring strength alongside strength, there's no telling what you might accomplish", he said.
Bloodline felt his mind at ease. Finally... a mentor who could be trusted. Betrayed by his father and cast off from his upbringing, he had finally found his place. Thoughts of the brutal beating of Switchblade left him with mixed emotions, but the platitudes of the Gladiators were far more satisfying than the angst and the moralizing of Switchblade. Bloodline allowed himself to savor the moment.
- Commissioner's Cup: Round 2 - Valour vs. The Betrayer Valour defeated The Betrayer with a Warrior's Rage at 8:15
- Commissioner's Cup: Round 2 - Kill Prey vs. Paralyze Kill Prey defeated Paralyze with an Ambush at 29:15 Match Notes: An epic battle!

In an effort to demonstrate loyalty to his new allies, Bloodline stormed out to ringside and took up the fight with Havoc. Muss was not far behind, and a four-way brawl ensued.
GWF security forces were dispatched and the melee was quickly broken up. Havoc was disqualified for outside interference.
- Losing Ground - The mood among the Gamemasters was tense. The cohesive leadership of Thantos was gone, leaving a gaping void in the tenuous chemistry of the remainder of the group.
After Encubus was defeated by Endgame, the tension grew thicker. Drury remained elusive and was rarely seen after Thantos' departure. The Betrayer grew melancholy, and Tanck was becoming frustrated with the lack of fighting spirit shown by his partner.
"It is make or break tonight!", howled Tanck. "If we defeat Havoc and Paralyze, we will finally earn our shot at the championship!"
"And if we lose?", said The Betrayer softly.
"NONSENSE!", roared Tanck. "No partner of mine will enter a match of this importance with that attitude!"
Tanck grabbed The Betrayer by the shirt and hoisted him into the air, pinning him against the lockers.
"Now get your head on straight! We WILL win tonight and we WILL defeat those miserable Guardians! I want to hear you say it!"
The Betrayer gritted his teeth. "Yes... yes, Tanck. Tonight our destiny will be one step closer. My strength and my will are committed to victory."

- Summer Tag Team Classic Champions! - As the show drew to a close, Commissioner Massif entered the ring and awarded the Commissioner's Rings to Havoc and Paralyze in honor of their victory in the Summer Tag Team Classic!
Disaster joined them in the ring, sporting the GWF Heavyweight Championship Belt. They were joined by Bloodline, which drew the resounding boos of the packed house.
"It's a great day to be a Gladiator!", howled Paralyze.
In an instant, the arena darkened. A single spotlight circled the arena and finally settled on a shadowy figure in the balcony. A deep, bellowing voice echoed through the arena.

But Payback's aggressiveness proved to be costly, as he charged headlong into the turnbuckle, missing Bloodline and crashing headfirst into the steel. Bloodline took control, punishing Payback and leaving him a helpless victim of the finisher.
After the match, Bloodline continued to pound away at Payback, but Payback mustered his strength and fought off the attack.

- Awards Ceremony - In a bizarre scene to close the show, Valour received the Galaxian Title and Reckless was presented with the Terra Trophy! The Guardians were joined by Endgame as they received congratulations from Massif.
At ringside, Havoc and Paralyze held the Tag Team belts, but their envy and dismay was palpable as they stood alongside Disaster and watched the celebration.

Encubus hung his head as he acknowledged his father's banishment.
Epoch broke the silence.
"What's done is done.", he said, "We must marshal our remaining forces to overcome these Guardians."

But the distraction was all that Minotaur needed to hit the Minotaur's Charge and capture a stunning non-title victory over the champion!

Galaxian Aggression #16 08.15.2119 from Dayton
- A Hero's Welcome? - As the show opened, Commissioner Massif stood in the ring to address the audience.
"Welcome, fans, to this evening's matches! Before we get started, I want to personally thank a GWF competitor for an outstanding show of sportsmanship at our last event. Minotaur, please join me in the ring."
The Animan strides gingerly to the ring, his left arm in a sling.
"My friend, you have rescued our GWF champion from a dangerous situation, at your own peril. For this, on behalf of the Federation, we give you our thanks. The actions of Slave Beast were uncalled for, and you did well to prevent his attack. In gratitude, I am offering you a match against Slave Beast with the stipulation of your choosing."
Minotaur pondered.
"Forget Slave Beast. I did what any sensible creature would do."
"Are you declining my offer?", replied Massif.
"Have you forgotten what I accomplished?", answered Minotaur, with a hint of sarcasm. "I defeated the GWF Champion! Slave Beast is meaningless to me. Commissioner Massif, I respectfully request a GWF Title Match against Valour!"
A startled hush came over the crowd. Massif's eyes widened and he stroked his chin thoughtfully.
"Minotaur... you must understand... title matches are reserved for those who demonstrate sustained excellence. Like all others, you must win a tournament- such as the Commissioner's Cup. A title match is not a suitable reward for one victory."
"I defeated your champion!", proclaimed Minotaur, "And I busted up this arm in saving his hide. I deserve more than a meaningless feud match!"
Before Massif could respond, Valour appeared at the top of the ring ramp.
"I accept."

"It's PAYBACK time!", he shouted.
Bloodline walked up the rampway. He stopped directly in front of Payback, staring him down, without a word.

- What Next? - Kill Prey seethed and paced as he met with Vin Strutter. Strutter, meanwhile, sat calmly at the table, seeming to have no concerns.
Kill Prey hissed his displeasure. "Now what? You were outsmarted by those goofballs. Your plan failed... worse yet, it brought strength to Endgame."
"Let Endgame have his happy alliance," replied Strutter calmly. "What does it matter? There's room enough here for all our factions."
"You're gonna let Endgame rule the GWF?"
"For now. Kill Prey, you must see the bigger picture. Without the hatred of the fans... the hatred of me, and you, and Encubus and the others... the GWF would be nothing.", Strutter said.
"But Endgame holds all the cards!"
"That's only partly true. The power of Endgame is not in the title belts. His power comes from the fans. The simple-minded sheep who pay their money and cheer their heroes. They lust for blood... the blood of the villians. Without the villains, there is no Endgame... and there is no GWF.", Strutter explained.
"What do you mean by that? We're just supposed to lay down for Endgame?"
"It means patience. Give the fans a show while we empty their wallets. We'll take care of Endgame when the time is right... but it is foolish to force the issue. That is where Thantos made his mistake and he paid the price. But I am smarter than Thantos... and I have a plan."
Kill Prey appeared puzzled as Strutter laughed deeply and leaned back in his chair.
