Fallout The mood in the Gamemasters' camp was angry and intense after the Group A qualifier. After his loss to Bloodline, Sly Drury fumed and paced the hallways of the training facility. Encubus was much more open with his frustration. In his rage, Encubus pounded the heavy bag for endless hours, cursing the success of his rival Bloodline and snarling over the failure of Sly Drury to put Bloodline out of commission. "We brought you here... for a purpose!", Encubus hissed. Drury held his ground... silently glaring at the cocky Encubus, keeping his arms folded across his chest. Drury's own rage was becoming apparent as his fists clenched inside his jacket and his teeth ground together. As the tension between Drury and Encubus mounted, Thantos appeared on the scene and stepped between the glowering warriors. "Patience, my son, patience. The prize still lies ahead. We must not be distracted by the frustration over a temporary setback. Bloodline will be brought to his knees... in due time. And Mr. Drury will accomplish his purpose."

American Guy vs. Slave Beast Slave Beast defeated American Guy with a Cry of the Beast at 21:30 Match Notes: American Guy dominated the early stages of the match, but could not finish off the Beast. Latasha vs. Thrash Latasha defeated Thrash with a Disqualification at 29:30 Match Notes: This was a wild, back and forth match, with both ladies surviving multiple near falls! Valour vs. Paralyze Valour defeated Paralyze with a Disqualification at 15:15 Match Notes: It didn't take long for this match to break down. Paralyze overpowered Valour in the early stages, but Valour absorbed the punishment and kept coming back. Although he couldn't seem to hurt his powerful foe, Valour slowed the match down with effective use of his triangle choke. This frustrated Paralyze, who dumped Valour out of the ring, where a furious brawl erupted. It could have been called either way, but Paralyze wound up being disqualified for refusing to heed the referee's pleas to return to the ring.
Stars and Stripes vs. Center Stage This match ended in a draw (Time Limit Draw) Match Notes: Stars and Stripes controlled most of the match, but the resilience of the Amazing Mann allowed him to survive. On the Carpet 01.20.2119 from Commissioner Massif's Office
- The Gladiators' Penance -
Following the Group C qualifiers, where Thrash and Paralyze were both disqualified, the Gladiators were called into the office of Commissioner Massif!
Massif issued a stern warning to the Gladiators for conduct unbecoming of the GWF. Thrash, in turn, accused Massif of favoritism, and Paralyze called the Commissioner a "coward" for "holding back" the Gladiators in fear of their superiority in the ring.
Not backing down, Massif warned Paralyze even more sternly, stating that his actions would keep him accountable not only in the GWF, but throughout the galaxy, in response to the injury inflicted upon Vengeance. At this point, Disaster became irate and accused Massif of being a pawn in a galactic conspiracy.
Still standing his ground, Massif issued an Executive Order:
"Any Gladiator who is disqualified from a GWF match will be SUSPENDED from the GWF for one year!"
Paralyze flew into a rage! Despite Disaster's effort to restrain him, Paralyze sucker-punched the Commissioner and knocked him to the floor. Before he could continue his assault, Disaster and Thrash pushed him away from the fallen Commissioner, but Havoc moved in and stepped on Massif's throat!
Thrash moved to stop Havoc, but he pushed her aside and began to choke Massif with his boot.
At that instant, the door to the Commissioner's office burst open, and Valour dashed in! Valour launched himself at Havoc and speared him to the floor. Endgame and Reckless followed closely, and soon all of the Gladiators and Guardians were engaged in a fierce brawl!
Massif finally pulled himself to his feet and managed to restore order. He issued a 2-week suspension for both Havoc and Paralyze! He repeated his previous order to suspend any Gladiator who was disqualified from a match.
Seething, Disaster led the Gladiators out of the Commissioners' office, but not before he promised to annihilate the Guardians and to destroy Massif.

Lorelei vs. Shann-Ra Shann-Ra defeated Lorelei with a Roll-up at 1:45 Match Notes: "The Past against the Future!", proclaimed Shann-Ra as the opening introductions were made. This infuriated the veteran Lorelei, but she was a victim of her own frustration. An aggressive charge by Lorelei at the outset of the match proved costly, as Shann-Ra side-stepped her. Lorelei crashed to the turnbuckle, and Shann-Ra alertly rolled her up for a pin!
Payback vs. Tanck Tanck defeated Payback with a Boot to the Face at 8:45 Match Notes: Another timeless feud brought together in the quest for the championship. Payback came out with his usual aggression and had Tanck on the defensive in the early going. Payback was stunned and disoriented, and ran right into a huge boot from Tanck to fall prey to the pinfall.
The Guardians vs. The Troubleshooters Reckless defeated The Bomb with a Reckless Driver at 2:15 Match Notes: Another surprise ending! - Gamemasters prepare for the Final - Tanck sat in the Gamemasters' dressing room, focusing his thoughts in preparation for the Group D Final against U.S. Male.
"I will crush him," said Tanck, "he is soft."
"Without his partner, he will not survive," agreed The Betrayer.
"Finally, our place in the Grand Championship awaits," said Tanck, "and the opportunity we have sought to face that retched Bloodline! He has escaped our wrath once too often."
Tanck glared at Sly Drury, who sat silently in the corner, still in anguish over his loss to Bloodline.
"Yes...", replied The Betrayer, "failure is not an option this time."
"Indeed," agreed Tanck, "no more squandering Thantos' money only to lose."
At this, Sly Drury leapt to his feet. He grabbed Tanck by the shoulders and shoved him against the wall.
"You will address me with RESPECT!", sneered Drury, "I am not a man who takes defeat lightly. Sly Drury WILL prove to be a threat to any who cross me... paid or unpaid!"
With Tanck trapped, The Betrayer approached Drury from behind. Drury deftly shot his left foot backward with a stunning kick to the Betrayer's midsection. The Betrayer staggered back, and angrily drew back his fist to approach Drury again.
"ENOUGH!", thundered a voice from behind. Thantos entered the room, followed by Encubus. "I will not tolerate in-fighting among the Gamemasters."
Thantos pushed aside The Betrayer and moved to Drury. He took Drury by the coatand moved him away from Tanck. He gave Drury a pat on the back. "I am not worried, Sly. My investment will pay its dividends. Now, Tanck, go to the ring and bring us our spot in the Championship."
Tanck moved past Drury on his way out of the locker room. He gave Drury a nod as he passed by. In the background, The Betrayer glared angrily at Drury, who fired back a sneer of his own as Tanck departed.

Steele Freak vs. Encubus Encubus defeated Steele Freak with a Second Coming at 22:00 Match Notes: Encubus pounded the Steele Freak relentlessly. How the Freak survived 22 minutes is anybody's guess, but Encubus kept his focus and dispatched his foe with the Second Coming.
She Devil vs. Thrash Thrash defeated She Devil with a Femme Fatale at 21:45 Match Notes: Thrash surprised and stunned the sellout crowd with an outstanding performance, controlling the weaker She-Devil. - Tag Team Semifinal - The Fighting Titans vs. AniMen Invasion Tristan defeated Minotaur with a Flying Bodypress at 5:15 Match Notes: The Titans looked sharp! Payback put a beating on the Minotaur, wiping him out with a Payback Time. With both wrestlers stunned, Payback managed to tag Tristan, who executed a fabulous deathjump to score the pinfall.
- Build-up - Who will be the first team to put two men into the Grand Championship?
With Bloodline and Tanck already having moved on, the battle for the Group E spot in the championship took on tremendous importance to both the FDF and the Gamemasters.
Star Warrior made a rare appearance in the FDF locker room. Observers were unable to penetrate the closed quarters to hear the words of the FDF patriarch.
The Gamemasters locker room was more animated, as Thantos railed and roared, whipping up his charges into a frenzy.
Finally, the moment arrived. Encubus marched to the ring, accompanied by his fellow Gamemasters, chanting and clapping in unity. In contrast, Switchblade was deliberate and focused, waiting patiently as officials cleared away the Gamemaster clan and ushered them back to the locker room to ensure a clean match.
- Group E Final - Switchblade vs. Encubus Encubus defeated Switchblade with a Maffei Masterlock at 24:00 Match Notes: Encubus rode the momentum of his entrance to a flurry at the opening bell, putting Switchblade down to the canvas with a Satanic Skull Crusher. But Switchblade kept his composure, and worked his way back into the match. Blade took control, leveling Encubus with the Slicing Kick.
As the opening emotion wore off, the match evolved into a tortuous battle of wills. Switchblade worked the Centaurus Leg Lock, while Encubus countered with his array of finishing moves. In the end, the skill and the will of Encubus was too much, and Blade was forced to tap out after repeated applications of the Massei Masterlock.

Group F Preliminaries 02.09.2119 from Dayton
- Anxious - Paralyze paced back and forth around the Gladiator training room.
"Our suspension is OVER", he hissed, to no one in particular, "but we have no qualifiers for the Grand Championship. And worse yet... that filthy Valour is in the Championship AND in the Tag Team Finals!"
Havoc fumed and joined the conversation. "Right you are. We must act NOW to prevent the Guardians from achieving domination and putting us out of the GWF."
Paralyze roared. "VENGEANCE IS OURS!"
Disaster stood and raised one hand. Paralyze allowed his mentor to speak. "We must be cautious, friend. The suspension is lifted, but the eyes of Massif are still focused upon us."
Paralyze pounded his locker in frustration. "This cannot be! Are we to cower to Massif? I say, we take him down and the Guardians with him! A show of force will put Massif- and the GWF- in its rightful place- at the feet of the Gladiators!"
Disaster held his hand out again, unfazed by Paralyze and his rantings. "There is a better way. We must exploit the weakness of the Guardians. We must force them to make the mistake- then we shall open the door to conquer them- and Massif will be powerless to interfere."
Anivar vs. Kill Prey Kill Prey defeated Anivar with an Ambush at 18:00 Match Notes: Anivar controlled the early segments of the match, but Kill Prey battled back to take control. It took three tries, but Kill Prey finally succeeded in pinnging Anivar with the Ambush.
- The Confrontation - After Kill Prey's victory, Paralyze and Disaster stormed the ring. Disaster took the microphone.
"It seems that things in the new GWF are just peachy... the Grand Championship is coming soon and all the factions are geared up. But you fans need to know the truth. You are nothing but pawns in the bigger picture. You are being used and manipulated as part of the GWF conspiracy."
The crowd booed lustily as Disaster continued his ranting.
"This tournament you are watching is rigged! Massif and his minions fear the Gladiators. They disqualify us and they put over the weaker competitors for the shallow purpose of pleasing the brainwashed masses like you!"
A pair of GWF officials moved in to try and stop the speech. Paralyze stepped in front of Disaster and pointed his finger menacingly at them. The officials froze in their tracks, allowing Disaster to continue.
"So, instead of an honest and fair competition, you ignorant sheep are given nothing but the dregs of the GWF... worthless losers like Valour! Valour represents everything that is wrong with the new GWF. He is weak-minded and undisciplined. Only the ignorance of people like you enables him to enjoy success."
At these words, Valour stormed into the main arena and grabbed his own microphone. Reckless stood behind him, pleading with him to keep his cool, but Valour would hear none of it.
"Disaster, you and your Gladiators are SORE LOSERS! You can't win matches, so you come out here and cry about conspiracy."
Disaster replied, lowering his tone. "You are a pawn, too, Valour. You do the bidding of the GWF for a paycheck and a few cheers. You have proven NOTHING with your hollow victories. You're a SELLOUT!"
Valour was clearly stung by the accusations from Disaster. He threw down his microphone and shoved Reckless aside. He charged into the ring at Disaster, but Paralyze intercepted him and a fierce brawl broke out!
Disaster stepped out of the ring and shouted to the stage crew.
"Lower the cage! Lower the cage! It is time for Valour to prove himself in a Cosmic Cage Match!"
- Special Challenge - Cosmic Cage Match - Paralyze vs. Valour Valour defeated Paralyze with a Warrior's Rage at 17:45 Match Notes: Angry and intimidating, Paralyze set out to destroy Valour. In the opening moments, Paralyze met with great success. He seemed impervious to everything Valour would throw at him, and proceeded to pound his Guardian foe into the mat and grind his face into the cage.
Valour tasted his own blood. If anything, this seemed to inspire and energize him! Valour came back with a fury, using the cage to his own advantage, propelling Paralyze face-first into the steel.
Unlike his foe, Paralyze was shocked and dismayed as his face turned into the proverbial crimson mask. Valour sprang into action, mounting theturnbuckle and launching a series of flying attacks onto his nemesis. Four flying leaps onto Paralyze were enough to soften the powerful Gladiator. The fans roared with approval as Valour slammed his foe to the canvas with the Warrior's Rage and left the cage triumphant!
Endgame vs. Muss Endgame defeated Muss with an Ultima Leap at 10:45 Match Notes: Endgame was barely challenged by Muss. Even the beautiful Phantasy at ringside could not help the overmatched Troubleshooter.
- Group F Final - Kill Prey vs. Endgame Kill Prey defeated Endgame with an Ambush at 20:00 Match Notes: In a surprisingly one-sided contest, Kill Prey used everything in his arsenal to subdue the heavily favored Endgame.
