Lightning flashed across a stormy sky; rain fell upon the bare shoulders of the demon Godsend. He looked up & lightning flashed revealing Nightmare & Darkseed at his shoulder.
Godsend looked upon the broken stones of the Ethereal Cathedral; blacked & crumbled. The Archangels kneeled at his feet & he held the One Essence in hand.
Another flash of lightning & the figure of Vallah, Keeper of the Cosmos, appeared amid the ruins of the Cathedral. Godsend laughed aloud, Darkseed tensed & Nightmare faded away into a mist of shadow-stuff.
Vallah: "Demons of the Dominion you have won the Battle for Centra. In your hand you hold the key to unravel this Dimension; how will you use it?"
Godsend smiled ear to ear & looked down to the Essence.
Vallah: "Come demon, you cannot tell me that making the choice to extinguish millions of souls does not satisfy your ego?"
Godsend's eyes flared & then narrowed.
Godsend: "I am savoring the victory; I have you & this dimension in hand. I find that holding ultimate power over you is quite pleasing."
There is a transporter flare & Ventross, flanked by The Others appears with General Rankor in shackles.
Ventross: "Nicodemus has vanished. The Ancients have placed the traitorous worm Rankor into confinement. Paganax has pledged himself to the Ravagers..."
Godsend: "Silence lizard. You are ruining my ultimate moment."
Before Godsend could continue the ROC appeared, led by Aegis with Aspin, Lance & Scorch behind him.
Godsend (to Vallah): "Are you conspiring to pit the entire universe against me?"
Vallah: "All of your fates are intertwined Godsend. I have not drawn them here, you have."
Godsend ponders this silently for a moment, staring down Vallah.
Godsend: "What are you playing at Vallah?"
Vallah: "It is my hope to thwart the destruction of this dimension."
Godsend: "This dimension is mine Vallah! You no longer have a hold on it! It is mine to destroy as I wish!"
Vallah: "Of course, if you break the Essence all this will be gone & you will be forced to go back to the dull humdrum of everyday life in damnation."
Godsend: "Damn you Vallah!"
Vallah only smiles in response.
Godsend: "Very well, let this battle continue inside the ring. I will even go so far as to put up the One Essence against everyone in a battle royal to prove my dominance over all."
Vallah: "I am pleased at your decision Godsend; you surprise me."
Godsend: "I didn't do it for you Vallah. I did it because all this (he indicates his surroundings) far outweighs ruling in the 5th Realm. There demons kneel before me; here I can do what I love, fight & manipulate."
Aegis: "You want the aCe to continue?"
Godsend: "Yes Aegis; that is exactly what I want. Of course without the presence of war it will be more difficult to find a good fight."
Ventross: "I think you will find everyone is your enemy Godsend. Finding a good fight won't be hard at all. We can start right now..."
Godsend: "Take a step toward me & I will sunder the Essence & end it all."
Vallah: "Recreate the aCe. Find a balance & thrive. I will be watching."
Vallah disappeared amid the next flash of lightning.
Godsend: "I never thought he would leave. Prepare yourselves my adversaries for with the turning of the year we will meet in the Centra Palladium to begin this new battle with a 20 man battle royal."
Godsend was engulfed in flames & when they dispersed he was gone.

The show opens on a tight shot of the aCe ESSENCE, then slowly pans back to reveal Godsend wearing it over his shoulder; his eyes blazing & a wicked smile on his face.
SYCOPHANT vs. WITCHDOCTOR
- Fingernail rake…open hand slap…Molestation…THE TOURNIQUET…over.
WINNER: Sycophant by THE TOURNIQUET.
Image shifts to the soldiers of the ROC standing at attention under review of Aegis. Lance At-Last walks a step behind.
Lance: "What is Godsend playing at Aegis?"
Aegis: "I wish I knew my friend. Whatever it is, it won't be good for us."
Lance: "We must recover the ESSENCE at all costs."
Aegis: "That is priority one. As long as the demon holds the ESSENCE he can destroy everything we hold dear."
Lance: "That must not be allowed to happen."
Aegis stops, turns to his friend & puts a hand on his shoulder.
Aegis: "Believe me my friend, I will not allow it to happen."
ZETA GREY vs. WARFARE
- Grey used his superior quickness to attack Warfare’s legs with vicious kicks from all angles. Warfare eventually caught him with a Warhammer but Grey rolled away & charged right back in for a quick shoot takedown right into SHADES OF GREY for the win.
WINNER: Zeta Grey with SHADES OF GRAY.
NIGHTMARE vs. SCUD
- Scud controlled the living shadow but when he hit a Scud Missile, Nightmare slid outside to regroup while he recovered. Scud charged him when he climbed back in through the ropes but Nightmare kicked him away, hit a Dread Lariat & finished with blast of mist.
WINNER: Nightmare with a blast of mist.
Image shifts into the Chamber of the Ancients aboard the Ravager Mothership. There we see General Rankor on trial before a Tribunal of Ravager Ancients.
Ancient 1: "Your crimes are numerous traitor..."
Ancient 2: "...too numerous..."
Ancient 3: "...the crime of treason warrents he be hanged..."
Ventross approaches the Tribunal & kneels before them.
Ventross: "Revered Ancients, I have a request for this Tribunal. I have need of Rankor in the aCe; he is a proud fighter & did only what he thought was right in the War. His acts were treasonous; his honor & titles stripped away..."
Ancient 3: "Such is the Ravager way with traitors..."
Ancient 1: "...stripped of everything..."
Ancient 2: "...and hung by the neck to die a slow agonizing death..."
Ancient 1: "...from which he cannot escape."
Ancient 2: "Then..."
Ancient 3: "...and only then will he understand the depth..."
Ancient 2: "...of the cost of treason."
Ventross: "The fighting is over but the War has not ended. The demon Godsend holds the ESSENCE; with that he can destroy all of creation. That includes the Ravagers! I need Rankor to help me keep the ESSENCE from the vile demon's clutches; for all our sakes."
The Tribunal whispers amonst themselves for several moments then address Ventross.
Ancient 3: "We have discussed your request..."
Ancient 2: "...and our determination was not unanimous..."
Ancient 1: "...but we will set aside the traitor's punishment..."
Ancient 2: "...and parole him into your care."
Ancient 3: "Know that we will observe his actions..."
Ancient 1: "...and will not hesitate to execute his sentence..."
Ancient 2: "...should his actions require it."
Two Ravager soldiers step forward & release Rankor without hesitation.
LANCE AT-LAS vs. NEMEAN
- Lance couldn’t do anything but attempt escape after escape as Nemean hit him with everything he had. Nemean was totally dominant until the last few moments of the match when Lance hit WANDERER’S CLUTCH twice in a row; Nemean went for a full nelson suplex but couldn’t connect & Lance hit the World Beater for the 1..2..3.
WINNER: Lance At-Las with the World Beater.
HUSTLER vs. NES KINCADE
- Kincade punished Hustler all around the ring until a Curb Jaw put Hustler firmly in control of the match. 4 successive Street Soldier Suplexes set up the big finish with back to back SKULL CAPS.
WINNER: Hustler with SKULL CAP.
Image shifts to the ruins of Antilia...on a wide shot of a mass graveyard...it tightens in on a single grave...as the image tightens a skeletal hand reaches out of the ground.
aCe ESSENCE CHAMPIONSHIP – 20 MAN BATTLE ROYAL
AEGIS vs. AMAZING MANN vs. ASPIN NORTHSTAR vs. AVARICE vs. ESPERANTO vs. GHEIST vs. GODSEND vs. HYBRID vs. MACK CALIBUR vs. MR. BLOAT vs. NEUROMANCER vs. NICODEMUS vs. ODYSSEY vs. OMNI vs. PAGANAX vs. PENDRAGON vs. RANKOR vs. SHEPARD vs. TOTALIS vs. VENTROSS
- Gheist didn’t waist any time attacking Avarice & paid the price :20 in as Avarice simply dumped him over the top rope with a back body drop.
- Hybrid took up residence in the middle of the ring & started attacking everyone within reach; Pendragon battled with Nicodemus in a battle of wills along the ropes; Hybrid threw Neuromancer into the pair & Pendragon took advantage to lift the Ravager Ancient into a gorilla press & deposited him on the floor.
- Paganax charged Hybrid in the middle of the ring with a wild roar & tried a running clothesline but Hybrid ducked; Paganax continued his charge into the corner & destroyed Ventross with a Roaring Elbow, sending him out to the floor as well.
- Shepard goaded Hybrid into a charge & planned on pulling down the ropes to eliminate him but Hybrid showed incredible insight & dropkicked Shepard instead. Hybrid backed up across the ring to get a running start & eliminated Shepard with a power clothesline as he got back to his feet.
- Totalis smacked around Aegis & looked primed to eliminate him but the veteran commander turned the tides with a slick reversal & hit RAMPARTS REVENGE to send Totalis out of the ring.
- Pendragon tried his luck with Paganax & the two worked the collar & elbow around the ring with neither man gaining advantage. Rankor surprised Pendragon with a Treacherous Throwdown & Paganax finished him off with a PAGAN VOID down to the concrete.
- Amazing Mann went to the ground with an armbar on Hybrid but the beast only grabbed him up by the hair & slammed him into the top of the turnbuckle until he broke the hold. After that, it was a POISON DRIVER & done. Hybrid raised both hands in the air, threw back his head & roared.
- Hybrid got Paganax’s attention with the roar & the two tangled blow for blow; ever the opportunist, Godsend eliminated the Heathen Chief with a blindside clothesline. Hybrid didn’t take kindly to Godsend’s interference & hammer fisted the top of his head, sending him sprawling into the corner. Odyssey hit Hybrid with a flying dropkick but it didn’t move Hybrid at all; he swatted Odyssey away & went looking for his next victim.
- Odyssey however wasn’t finished with Hybrid & hit CHRONOCHASM; that only angered Hybrid further. Odyssey bent under a crushing face clamp & then was run over by a couple of sloppy running tackles but it was Downburst that eliminated him. Hybrid was on a rampage.
- Aegis & Godsend fought back & forth until Mack Calibur blindsided Aegis with Glass Knucks to eliminate him. Godsend locked him in a dextral choke & ground it in. Neuromancer tried his luck with Hybrid, bounced off him a couple times & then got powerbombed to the floor.
- Godsend quickly turned Mack Calibur into SPEAK OF THE DEVIL; before he went out you could clearly hear Godsend’s whispered words before rolling him over the top rope:
Godsend (into Mack Calibur’s ear): “Hustler slighted you tonight, take revenge next week.”
- Hybrid pushed Mr. Bloat backwards to the ropes & ripped him to pieces; it took 2 POISON DRIVERS to stun Bloat so that a sloppy shoulder tackle could knock him over the top rope & eliminate him.
- Hybrid looked around the ring; Avarice battled with Omni; Rankor traded blows with Godsend & Aspin Northstar crouched in the corner with Esperanto, avoiding notice. Hybrid did the sensible thing, he charged Avarice & Omni to deliver a double clothesline that knocked both men to the mat. Hybrid drug Avarice to his feet by his hair & hit 5 Brain Damagers in a row to eliminate him.
- Aspin took advantage of Omni’s position & tried FLASH OF BRILLIANCE but missed; Omni started after Aspin but didn’t get far because Hybrid snatched him away by the back of the neck for a POISON DRIVER. Aspin hit Hybrid with a NORTHERN STAR SUPLEX but Hybrid backhanded him away & turned back to Omni who had wobbled back to his feet; a diving clothesline sent him out to the floor.
- Aspin & Esperanto double teamed Hybrid but a blindside clothesline from Rankor on Aspin turned the tides for Hybrid; He clamped a crushing face clamp on Esperanto & hit him with a Downburst…Esperanto was finished.
- Rankor pounded Aspin back into the buckles but Hybrid hit them both with a sloppy shoulder tackle into the buckles. Aspin dropped to the mat but Hybrid caught Rankor & lifted him off the ground in a crushing face clamp & deposited him on the floor.
- Hybrid bent down to grab Aspin by the hair but Godsend struck with a snapping neckbreaker; Hybrid shook it off & got back to his feet…Demon Bomb…no sell…Dextral Choke & Hybrid grabbed his hand & chopped down on his elbow to break free & then hit him with a vicious clothesline that flipped him over backwards. Aspin tried to step in but Hybrid backhanded him away & went right back to Godsend & pitched him over the ropes. He turned back to Aspin but Godsend wasn’t finished yet; he had caught the ropes & dropped to the ring apron.
- Aspin kicked Hybrid in the leg, hit him with a couple right hooks & tried an enziguri but Hybrid hit him with a big elbow & followed with Downburst & eliminated him with a POISON DRIVER. Godsend attacked & tried another snapping neckbreaker but Hybrid smashed him with a giant fist to the face that knocked him backwards into the ropes & eliminated him with a running clothesline.
WINNER & NEW aCe ESSENCE CHAMPION: Hybrid by POISON DRIVER.
Godsend slaps the ring apron & his eyes flare...Hybrid claims the aCe ESSENCE & is covered by a golden nimbus of power...Godsend climbs into the ring & steps up to Hybrid...the nimbus coaleces into Hybrid's eyes & they momentarily flare before turning the color of liquid gold...Godsend backs down when Hybrid leans forward & roars at him. Hybrid holds the ESSENCE up for everyone to see...
(Fade to black)
(End of show)

MY GOD! Hybrid destroyed an entire half of the competitors not to mention eliminating the Essence Champion in the end to claim the title. Hybrid + One Essence = Scary!
