POW FED REPORT EARLY JANUARY 2123
2123 is off to an explosive start in the POW. The reintroduction of teams has set off some wars already. The Dissidents and The True Way have already had some of the most violent encounters thus far. The opening edition of EDGE for 2123 saw 5 out of the 10 scheduled matches end in disqualification. Among those matches were Raze vs. The Zealot & TK vs. Absalom. Rematches were scheduled later in the week on a special card called Unfinished Business. On the card Raze managed to defeat the newcomer The Zealot via THE AWAKENING as well as TK showing some major improvement and beating Absalom with his new finisher ONWARD SOLDIER. This past week in 6 man action THe True Way scored a victory over The Dissidents when The Zealot trapped Raze in OVERZEALOUS.
Another hot feud going into 2123 is Thayne & Konari vs. Ahnu & Onami...so far this war is dead even. The first battles ended in violent disqualifications which saw Thayne and Konari victorious but at Unfinished Business the Jardill struck back with a vengeance with Ahnu defeating Konari and Onami wasting Thayne with FEAR STRIKE. Last week the match between Thayne and Ahnu ended in a violent bloody brawl with Ahnu being DQ'd. Bloodthirsty POW fans are clamoring to see these four in Circinus Cell Matches or even inside of an MMA cage!!!
2123 has not been a good start for Raven and Hanuman... on the opening EDGE card Puma defeated Hanuman with the SIDESWIPE...to make matters worse Dr Barnabas ordered Darwin's Legacy to the ring...the Species crew did a number on Hanuman and have put him in the hospital with severe neck trauma. Raven wanted to even the score at Unfinished Business but he too fell to Puma's SIDESWIPE and another post match beatdown as well! Raven's injuries are not quite a severe as Hanuman's but expect him to miss at least a couple of week.
Domination Dojo and Prison Time are locked in a dead heat with one win each. In singles Cypher has gotten a win over the newcomer Conundrum.
A newcomer named Dravus Maxima (who was trained by none other than CPC Legend Matador of M83) debuted on the first EDGE show of 2123 by beating JJ Smooth. He has also defeated Mad Jester on the second EDGE card. How well will he fare in the tough POW enviroment? Only time will tell.
The POW Cruiserwieght Wrestling Title tournament has begun! In first round action Quetzal advanced over Crucible, Thayne over Ahnu, Brainstorm over Zed Marlowe, and Dante over Euritar...
Speaking of Dante, he has been humbling Euritar in every one of their matches. In fact, Euritar is winless against Dante. Could it be that Euritar has met his match? Euritar is one of THE BEST in this sport bar none, but if he doesnt pick it up real soon here people are going to begin thinking that maybe his time has passed.
On the first EDGE card of 2123, Trent Lawless called out Excalibur on the Zone of Lawlessness and basically stated while he respects him and his abilities, he doesnt think he can handle Gunner. So far Excalibur has proven Mr. Lawless wrong... on the following EDGE card Gunner fell victim of POINT OF THE SWORD.
And finally, POW has a new Heavyweight Champion... on last week's EDGE card Mensar (with some help from Cordanus) ended Shylock's long reign. Shylock will recieve a rematch, but he is going to need an equalizer. Perhaps Splatter can be of assistance...or perhaps a special match to keep Cordanus away from the ringside area. Whatever happens it's going to be a highly anticipated rematch!

Mensar's been a thorn in Shylock's side for me, too, although that has gone both ways. And who ever said Trent Lawless could get a prediction right?!

Euritar getting schooled by Dante surprises me mildly.
Good job, Mensar -- I've come to like Shylock, but Mensar is a sentimental favorite.

Great card.
Good to see Dante dominate his feud with Euritar. I've never been big on Euritar anyway.
Big win for Mensar, even if he cheated. You do what it takes to win the gold.
I expect big things out of Excalibur this year, he's coming in to his own finally I beleive.
Keep it up my friend.
