Re: Godsend....he's now 0-2, and I think that plays nicely into the bit in the manual about him wanting to show he's still THE man. Gives me good fodder for him to grab headlines despite losing.
Re: Peacemaker....I wasn't sure how to deal with him either. His blazing right out of the gate gives me some natural options. I was really surprised at how good he is.
Re: Kincade-Avarice....that was something I didn't catch in making the seedings. But it was interesting to have the teammates lock up so quickly.

aCe holoVision Night 04.23.2122 from Four Corners Coliseum
- Tournament Round 1 - Pendragon vs. Mr. Bloat Pendragon defeated Mr. Bloat with a disqualification at 5:15 Match Rating: 2.25 Match Notes: Mr. Bloat is his own worst enemy. The diabolical criminal went toe to toe with Pendragon, but in the end, resorted to his forehead carving and got caught by the referee.
- Tournament Round 1 - Aspin Northstar vs. Totalis Totalis defeated Aspin Northstar with a FINAL ROUND at 6:33 Match Rating: 2.50 Match Notes: Despite his grandiose persona and proclaimed aptitude at tournaments and championship situations, Totalis was undoubtedly stinging from his embarrassing 1st round exit from the Centra Cup.
Tonight, he was much sharper and looked much more experienced than Aspin.
- Tournament Round 1 - Nes Kincade vs. Esperanto Nes Kincade defeated Esperanto with a MTFO! at 7:04 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: Great match. Esperanto really tried to show the upstart, but Kincade is for real. The New School standout pulls through with a very big victory!
- Tournament Round 1 - Nemean vs. Nightmare Nemean defeated Nightmare with a SEASON FINALE at 5:33 Match Rating: 2.50 Match Notes: Adorned with glittering robes, the flamboyant Nemean strode down to this one with extreme confidence. He strutted every so often, and ran his fingers through his hair.
Nightmare wasn't impressed, and attempted to lord over Nemean....but the brash one was sensational in a big victory here.
- Tournament Round 2 - Pendragon vs. Totalis Pendragon defeated Totalis with an OVERTHROW at 5:00 Match Rating: 2.25 Match Notes: The master of tournaments was hoping to upend the war hero, but it wasn't meant to be. Pendragon dominated here. Totalis was furious after the match. He went after the referee, looking as if he was going to clobber him! But he stopped short, thankfully for his own career.
- Tournament Round 2 - Nes Kincade vs. Nemean Nes Kincade defeated Nemean with a NEW SCHOOLBOY at 6:51 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Nemean made an even more dramatic entrance this time, with more strutting, more preening, and more posturing to the crowd. Kincade was not to be outdone in the arrogance department, swaggering into the ring with his cigarette and sunglasses.
Before the match, he grabbed a mic and snapped at Nemean, " You look pretty....for a lizard. But and the end of the day, you're still a lizard. Me? I'm the real f#$@ing deal. Nobody wants to see a f#$@ing freak like you parading around like you're the s#$t. They want to see me kicking a#$, taking names, and then kicking more a#$. Now let's this thing started so I can embarrass you."
It was a solid match. The two went back and forth for a bit, until Kincade took over and never looked back.
- holoVision Championship - Pendragon vs. Nes Kincade for the aCe Holovision Championship Pendragon defeated Nes Kincade with an OVERTHROW at 9:44 Match Rating: 3.25 Match Notes: Pendragon quietly came down, intent on business as usual....and business has been good for the war hero.
Kincade strolled down again, microphone in hand. "You think you're the s@#t because you're a big war hero, eh? That supposed to impress us? That supposed to impress ME? Hahaha. I don't give a crap what you've done out there. You're boring. And I don't dig boring. And these fans don't dig boring. They won't be bored watching me kick the s#@t out of you, soldier boy."
If the future of aCe is in the hands of guys like Pendragon and Kincade, the future is bright. Both of them worked hard to get to the final, and with the Holovision Title on the line, they threw everything they had at each other.
Ultimately, the heroic Pendragon put down Kincade with his suplex finisher and becomes the first Holovision Champion!

aCe Vid Report The First Edition!
Cam C'Baoth here, welcoming you to THE place to be to get the latest news on the hottest entertainment force in Centra....the new aCe!
In short order, we'll had some huge events. The Centra Cup lived up to all its hype -- and what a performance by Peacemaker! This guy was brought in here as an enforcer in every sense of the word, and he made as big a statement as possible. Centra Cup Champion. It's one thing to be anointed THE MAN by the powers that be....but when you back it up with actions, people take notice. And the entire roster better take notice of Peacemaker.
We have our first Holovision Champion as well. After a gutty, hard-fought battle with the trash-talking Nes Kincade of the New School, war hero Pendragon took the prize. There is some irony in a no-nonsense fighter capturing a title that's more about the glitz and showmanship than any other title....but regardless, this guy is going to be a tough out, and may hold that strap for awhile.
The Essence Champion is going to be crowned next, and from what we're hearing, some of the usual suspects will comprise the 8 participants in the tournament. Lance At-Las....Shepard....add to that The Amazing Mann. The buzz is that a notable absence will be Godsend. Once the most feared man in the fed, the former demon is reportedly been rejected as a tourney entrant, because of his poor showings against Mann and Scud. How the diabolical one responds to this slight will be MOST interesting.
Some quick hits: -- There were considerable complaints to the front offices of aCe about Nes Kincade's vulgar tirades at the Holovision tournament. Whether the league responds or not, I think Kincade is quickly going to find himself with a line of people waiting to bust his jaw. Pendragon, the man who beat him for the title, stated afterwards that Kincade was "disgusting" and "completely barren of honor or decency". Nemean, the man Kincade got past to make it to the finals, also had some opinions. "Nemean turns heads and shows he's THE STUFF just by existing. When I talk, people listen and people swoon. I don't need to use naughty words to get attention. That's cheap heat. Kincade -- quit trying so hard, and leave the flash and headline-grabbing for Nemean."
-- With Godsend struggling out of the gate and his luster tarnished by his fall from 'demonhood', a lot of people are taking their shots at him. Even more troubling for him, Darkseed reportedly on a couple occasions now has referred to himself as the leader of their team. Uneasy lies the crown of the once king of villains, especially if his own supposed allies are jockeying to depose him!
-- The Amazing Mann is already becoming a polarizing figure. He has dazzled in the ring thus far, and while many fans are embracing him as the emerging face of the new aCe, some aren't so keen on an "outsider" inserting himself at the top. One former GWF notable and aCe mainstay, Ventross, commented on Mann's arrival: "He's got something to prove here yet. He's phenomenal, don't get me wrong. But a few matches do not make anyone the top wrestler in a new fed. There are some grizzled veterans around here, naming no names, that might need to firsthand test this guy out."

Essence of Excellence -- Tournament for the Essence -- 04.26.2122 from Centra Palladium
- Tournament Round 1 - The Amazing Mann vs. Shepard The Amazing Mann defeated Shepard with a guillotine choke at 9:44 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: This would be a great match that kicked off a tournament that will for a long time be heralded as an entire card of outstanding bouts.
Mann and Shepard duked it out in a see-saw battle that could have gone either way. In the end, the former GWF champ pulled off a sensational victory.
- Tournament Round 1 - Peacemaker vs. Darkseed Peacemaker defeated Darkseed with a deathjump at 7:44 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: The undefeated Peacemaker began his bid to add Essence Champion to a resume that already included Centra Cup Winner. Darkseed, in a strange turn of events, got a spot in the 8-man tourney over teammate and usual juggernaut Godsend.
Darkseed tried to capitalize by taking it to Peacemaker early, but the undefeated enforcer turned this around and never looked back.
- Tournament Round 1 - Lance At-Las vs. Avarice Avarice defeated Lance At-Las with a 7TH SIN at 1:33 Match Rating: 3.25 Match Notes: Two big guns meet in the first round superfight, and this one didn't disappoint!
Lance, who just narrowly missed out on the Centra Cup, had his hands full here. In a long, hotly-contest battle, the amazing Avarice pulled off a HUGE victory!
- Tournament Round 1 - Ventross vs. Paganax Ventross defeated Paganax with a flying shoulder spear at 12:01 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Yet another gem. The accomplished veteran Ventross absorbed tremendous damage from the heavy-hitting Paganax, yet still kept coming back....and he pulled it off!
- Tournament Round 2 - The Amazing Mann vs. Peacemaker Peacemaker defeated The Amazing Mann with a PEACEMAKER'S OATH at 7:39 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: Peacemaker keeps the undefeated streak rolling in a hard-fought war with the incredibly impressive Mann! The crowd really got into this one, with competing "Peacemaker!" and "Mann!" chants, oohs and ahhs, and appreciative applause and yells.
In the end, Peacemaker showed that he is perhaps THE force to reckon with by upending the GWF notable.
- Tournament Round 2 - Avarice vs. Ventross Avarice defeated Ventross with a 7TH SIN at 8:11 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Ventross' bid for his first major championship was stymied by Avarice. The New School leader edged out the legend in yet another great match.
- Essence Championship - Peacemaker vs. Avarice for the aCe Championship Avarice defeated Peacemaker with a 7TH SIN at 13:22 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: An outstanding tournament ends on a match for the ages. Both men were exhausted and barely able to continue near the end. They survived each other's finishers, over a dozen near-falls, and some dangerous deathjumps.
In the end, Peacemaker stumbled into Avarice's finishing suplex, went down and found his shoulders down for the first 1-2-3 of his career!
Avarice captures the Essence Champion and adds that illustrious belt to a career that can only achieve greater and greater things. The New School brings home the gold!
- Post-Card - Nes Kincade and the Brothers Oaken rushed out and celebrated in the ring with Avarice, as an exhausted Peacemaker was on his knees, shaking in head in frustration.
Avarice hoisted the symbol of the Essence up high, the aCe Championship. Kincade jawed at some booing fans in the front row, while Donk and Rorus started taunting Peacemaker and getting in his face. Callisto tried to ignore it as he caught his breath, but the brothers were relentless.
Finally, Peacemaker had enough. He slammed his fists on the mat, then launched at Donk and Rorus with a double clothesline! The crowd went crazy. Nes Kincade spit out his cigarette and went at Peacemaker, but Avarice caught his shoulder. "Not now," he said with a smile. "We got what we came here for."
He motioned for the Brothers Oaken to leave with him and Kincade. Peacemaker watched them go, seething.

You know, looking at Avarice's stats, I thought he might have been passed by with some of the new additions, but it seems that is most definately not the case.. he's on a roll in my fed too.

team title turmoil -- Tournament for the Tag-Team Essence -- 04.27.2122 from The Rose Garden
- Tournament Round 1 - The Brothers Oaken vs. The Archangels Donk Oaken defeated Gabriel with a COUPE DE GRACE at 5:22 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: The debut of the New School's tag team was a resounding success to go along with Kincade and Avarice's fortunes. The Brothers Oaken functioned extremely well together and took a huge one from the always-dangerous Archangels.
- Tournament Round 1 - Primeval Destruction vs. Sycophant and Master Warfare defeated PainMaster with a disqualification at 7:55 Match Rating: 2.50 Match Notes: This was a solid one. Warfare looked very fresh after the layoff between wartime aCe and entertainment aCe. Hopefully the medical work on his war sickness is helping as well.
S&M got themselves DQed in this one, else this could have gone the other way.
- Tournament Round 1 - The Others vs. The Brigade Lance At-Las defeated Omni with a no contest at 0:00 Match Rating: 0.00 Match Notes: The crowd was excited about this one, with pivotal figures The Others scheduled against fan favorites Aspin and Lance.
It was not to be. The Others did not show up. After several minutes, a courier ran out and handed the announcer a note.
The perplexed announcer read, "Odyssey and Omni apologize that they are unable to participate in this tournament. They have learned information that will be revealed soon, and simply put, has made the possibility of them winning the Essence undesirable at this time."
- Tournament Round 1 - Shock Syndicate vs. Hustler and Scorch Holocaust defeated Hustler with a SHOCKWAVE at 3:33 Match Rating: 1.50 Match Notes: This was a squash. Hustler couldn't get it together and never was able to tag out. Shock Syndicate got the biggest pop of the night thus far.
- Interview - PainMaster, frustrated, stopped in front of backstage cameras and snapped, "This league is about entertainment. We else did they let such....dangerous criminals...as myself participate? And yet there are referees who deem it appropriate to ruin an entertaining match by deciding to make things more about themselves than the wrestlers. We were, simply put, robbed."
He turned to go, paused, then went on, "And furthermore, S&M -- an established, successful team -- gets cheated by unfair refereeing, while Lance At-Las and his little whelp get a free pass simply because their opponents didn't show up. Really fair. What kind of operation is this anyway?"
He stormed off, Sycophant silently in tow.
- Tournament Round 2 - The Brothers Oaken vs. Primeval Destruction Warfare defeated Rorus Oaken with an EXTINCTION LEVEL EVENT at 8:12 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Great one. The Brothers looked sharp, but they just couldn't stop Destruction. Once again, Warfare looked at the very top of his game. Hybrid got beaten up badly early on, but Warfare carried the team on to victory.
- Tournament Round 2 - The Brigade vs. Shock Syndicate Aspin Northstar defeated Flatliner with a FLASH OF BRILLIANCE at 11:33 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: The crowd was really divided on this one. Both teams are obviously favorites, but some smatterings of boos at Lance and Aspin perhaps stemmed from them getting a 'free pass' in the first round.
This match got the whole crowd cheering though. Aspin stole the show with his dangerous offense, culminating in a breathtaking FLASH OF BRILLIANCE!
- Tag Essence Championship - Primeval Destruction vs. The Brigade for the aCe Tag Team Championship Aspin Northstar defeated Hybrid with a FLASH OF BRILLIANCE at 5:52 Match Rating: 2.25 Match Notes: Unbelievable! Aspin shows that in short time he has progressed greatly, as he connects with his FLASH not once, but twice on Hybrid. Warfare tried to make the save, but The Brigade -- who had said in recent weeks that tag-teaming wasn't even their primary focus these days -- win the titles!
- Post-Card - Nes Kincade stormed to ringside as Lance and Aspin were celebrating and accepting their belts, the symbol of the Essence.
He grabbed the headset off of color commentary Cam C'Baoth and snapped, "F#%@ing great. These jokers get a freebie, and now are the champs. That's bull#$%@! Way to start off the new aCe, with cowards as the tag champs! I'm telling you right now -- enjoy those belts, Lance A@#-Las and A@$pin....because the Brothers Oaken are going to be ripping them off your scrawny waists soon!"
