POFC 14: Screaming For Vengeance
Prelims Heavyweight Match: Tynar "The Saboteur" Gelb (0- 3) v Zak "Idol" Polter (1 -2) Zak Polter dominated this match. He came out of the gate, unafraid, and really took it to the sneaky ninja. Polter hit some hard shots on his feet, and was surprisingly adept at controlling his foe on the ground as well. Saboteur, to his credit, did find some glimpses of glory, and took advantage of a Polter mistake to end the fight with a hadaka jime (naked strangle) at 5:44. Not a great win, but the highly talneted Gelb finally gets a point in the win column.
Cruiserweight Match: Talon (0 -2) v Zed Marlowe (3 -2)
While Talon seems to be floundering in the MMA scene, Marlowe has truly absorbed it. The training, the tactics- and the partying lifestyle. The two combatants had a few changes in momentum, with Zed controlling most of the action. But at the 7:22 mark, Talon managed a beautiful shoulder throw which drove Marlowe down on his side hard. He cried and agony and the match was stopped. Marlowe was tended to by medical staff and taken out on a stretcher. Big win for Talon.
Main Card
Heavyweight Match: Mike Fortune (1 -1 ) v Indigo (0 -3) Many expected this fight ot be Indigo's coming out party- many were wrong. The two fighters were content to trade blows for a long while before Indigo pushed into a clinch. He tried for a takedown but was stuffed. Fortune broke the clinch and hit a wild right hand that snet the colorful man sprawling to the mat at 3:13.
Roe Jogan caught up with the winner: "Mike that was a beautiful rotating hammer. Who taught you that?" "Uh... my trainer.. I dunno? Look, I don't know aboot you, Roe, but people gotta stop underestimatin' me, don'tcha know? I love fightin', and we Canadains do it best! The best there is, the best there was and the best there ever's gon...." "Alright, Mike, I got to stop you now before we get sued for infringemnet or something. Your winner, ladies and gentlemen!'
Cruiserweight Match: Brainstorm (1- 2) v Nevah "Parsec" Limdo (0-0) Another member of Team Corporate, and brother of Ha' Vel Limdo, Nevah is a Twi' lek on a mission. He takes his job as part of Team Corporate very seriously and it showed in this fight. Brainstorm brought the pain early and looked to end the fight, but Limdo was knocked to his back. Brainstorm followed, which was a big mistake. The two men changed position, rolling for an advantage. Parsec took Brainstorm's back and made to go for a rear choke, but changed up and worked a very sly STF which made Brainstorm tap at 3:23.
Roe Jogan caught up with the member of Team Corporate "Okay, Nevah that was a very im....." "Silence! I'll have no more of your foolish prattle. Enemies of The Corporation be warned: Cross us at your peril. After all, my brother and I are trained assassins." '...."
Super HeavyWeight Match: Ka' Lek "The Dominator" Zhulan (0 -1) v Mala "The Sledge" Selopina (1-0) Two big guys who brought a lot of action. The Sledge was on the offensive early, landing excellent combinations and keeping the grappler Zhulan at bay. Zhulan finally decided he had taken enough damage and tried to rush Selopina, but The Sledge landed an impressive spinning hammerfist whcih sent the Aran to the mat out cold. Time was 2:06.
Roe Jogan caught up with Mala "The Sledge" Selopina: "Now, Mala, did how did you prepare for this fight?" "I used a brilliant.... concoction of training inhalants, ......and I saw the fragrances that would lead me to the win. I was ready for the win, man. The colors were so loud in my head, screaming almost, like trees do on a calm day Some great stuff, man" "You and I have got to talk about that later. That sounds like really good stuff". "It IS man, it is."
Super HeavyWeight Match:Drussk Ventross (0 -0) V Hanuman (1 -3) Ventross, just returning for some amazing galactc war in another dimension, was accounced as an acqusition for the Freak Pantheon, owned by Hawyer Santroi. If that is true, that is a huge plus for Santori, as Ventross is a hellacious fighter. As for the fight, it was a very game contest. Both fighters came in hard and unwilling to let up an inch. Hanuman scored a few well placed shots to the Ravager Warlord, but Ventross pressd for a close and scored several takedowns. Hanuman was good at getting back to his feet, but Ventross scored with a huge chest throw, lauching Hanuman and knocking the wind out of him. The ref noticed this and stepped in at 4:03.
Roe Jogan caught up with Ventross: "Well, that was a VERY impressive fight, Drussk. What did you think of Hanuman?" "He is a noble fighter, but just not in my league. Let us face it: I am a conqueror of angels and demons alike, of traitors, primal forces, of elements so holy and so foul, what can a mere genetic mutation do to stand against me?" "You adapted well to th..." "Of course I adapted well. I am the Ravager Warlord. I endure. It is my reason for being." Heavyweight Title Match: Shlylock (4 -1) v Cypher (3-1) for the Heavyweight tilte.
The two fighters come out and meet in the ring as the ref gives his final instructions. The ref concludes and Shylock raises his gloves for a touch... but Cypher turns his back on him and walks back to his corner! Shylock looks pissed!
The bell ring and we are underway!
Both men circle, throwing a few testing jabs and low kicks to guage the mettle of their foe. Shylock rushes forward, throwing heavy leather. Cypher goes on the defensive, blocking and dodging shots, working the ring and trying to get away. Cypher manages to step around a Shylock hook and get out of harm's way, as Shylock turns and presses the offense. Cypher lands a nice gut chot, but Shylock seems unfazed and continues to come forward. Oh!!! Cypher hit with an nice uppercut! And another! Cypher is stumbling around! Shylock presses, looking to finish. Cypher shoots in and Shylock sprawls, pushes off and starts to throw leather again. Cypher is tagged again. Cypher is running away from Shylock! Cypher tries to shoot in again, he gets in more, but Shylock stuffs it and maintains the clinch, Shylock muscles the challenger around and drops him to the mat with an nice Greco Roman throw! Shylock tries to mount, but is tossed off and Cypher comes up from behind, looking for that twister he likes to use. Shylock rolls out, and pulls guard. Cypher starts to drop some elbows from the guard. Shylock pushes away as Cypher loads up for another elbow and gets to his feet, but Cypher shoots in and drops him with a nice double leg! Cypher on top and raining punches, Shylcok defends well. Shylock rolls over and Cypher locks on a body triangle! He is going for the choke... but they are in the ropes and the ref is forced to stand them up. The two combatants start again, and Cypher, eneregized from his recent success, pushes Shylcok back with a barrage of strikes. WOW! Nice haymaker and Shylock is now stunned. Cypher clinches and WHOA!!! Beautiful hip throw that takes the champ to the mat. Cypher moves into side control Shylock trying to get out. Cypher with some hammerfists.. Cypher tries for a kimura. Shylock manages ot power out. Cypher is out of position and Shylock is able to stand up. Cypher does not want to lose his momentum, and moves in- right into a jab, and a hook! He is hit hard! Cypher is crumbling! A knee to the chin seals the deal! Cypher is out! He is down and counting the lights! Great, great fight! Wow! That man has deadly fists! Time fo the KO was 12:25. Wow!
Roe Jogan will talk with the Champ, Shylock: "Shylock, wow that was awesome!" "Yeah he is a pretty tough guy. I am tougher, as I just proved" "So what was your strategy tonight? I loved that finishing uppercut!" "I don't think that was an uppercut, but that is nothin'. I wanted to throw leather- that is what I like to do. I knew my stand up was better than his, So I wanted to exploit that." "So what is next for you? Who would you like to fight?" "I don't care, as long as they keep putting guys in front of me to smash. They got some #1 Contender match between Raze an' Terminus or sumpthing, right? Whoever. They ain't gonna beat me. I don't care."

POFC 14: Screaming for Vengeance notes: Attendance: 29, 080 Tynar Gelb picks up his first win. Still, he did not look good in the match. Rumor has it he may drop to Cruiserweight and try his luck there... Talon may have a lot to learn, but that was one hell of a throw. Zed Marlowe is out at least four months.Well, at least he has enough time to party now that that silly training thing will not be in the way.... The Limdo brothers may not have a lot of name recognition, but these two come to fight. It was a huge coup for the Corporation to acquire their services... That being said, Drussk Ventross' signing with Freak Pantheon was even larger. This guy has seen it all, and I am glad he is giving the POFC a go. He is a tough customer and his name alone puts him at the top of the title picture...Mala Selopina's win was huge this guy is a real gamer. The "Sledg-end" has begun ... people keep counting Mike Fortune out and he keeps proving them wrong. Hey at least he is a profitable bet... Shylock has another impressive win here. He looked to be in trouble on the ground a few times, but he was able to turn the tides and score a big win. Cypher looked good in his loss, and hopefully his ego will recover enough for him to bounce back... Thayne Sigursson is reported to have a broken hand from his fight with Stigma. He will be out a month or so... Vito Torre apparently had to restrain some GWF personnel and lawyers as they wanted to publicly address the fact that Koro "Rage" Taiaha competed in the POFC last card, despite the fact he is under GWF contract. Torre and Corporation security had it under control, but this situation is far from over..... Crucible has announced that he will no longer compete in the POFC. I am sure that all three of his fans will be inconsolable..... Gunnar is supposed to be shooting a movie scene with his main squeeze, Jolly Lickings. No, not that kind of film; it is a small part where Gunnar plays a bouncer protecting Lickings' dancer character. It will be Gunnar's first movie appearance, and well, probably Lickings' first non- illicit role... Chuck Norris, absent from last card, was providing guest commentary for the title fight. That man really knows his stuff.... Mr T was seen chatting with Trent Lawless. Trent is apparently now allowed on premises depite what President Prodigy had said, and maybe they are mending ties. Still, if Lawless wants his old job back, I'll be more than glad to fight him for it... The crew of the USS USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-E) was in attendace. They were all noted for the service they provide the galaxy. To rankle the bigwigs in the Corporation, Hawyer Santori purchased a private luxury box for them to enjoy the action in.... The 'friendly" rivalry between the Corporation and Santori is going to get ugly. The Limdo brothers may not be known as fighters, but there are rumors about other activities they have been involved in. My advice to Santori: Never turn your back on a Twi'lek, and in Jolly Lickings' case, why would you want to?
End of the Year Awards: Cruiserweight of the Year: Thayne (4 -1, CW Tournamnet winner, CW Champion)
Heavyweight of the Year Shylock (4 -1, HW Tournamnet winner, HW Champion)
Super HeavyWeight of the Year: Rubicon - (4-2, SHW Tournament winner)
Fight of the Year: Nero defends the Honor of POFC as he def. Sly Drury at POFC 8 Fighter of the Year: Shylock ( A close one between he and Thayne, but the relative ease in which Shylock has dispatched his foes put him over).
POFC 15: The Coming Curse
Absalom (2- 3) v Chino "Morbid" Huerta (1- 0)
Ahnu (1- 3) v "Amazing" Wayne Mann (1- 3)
Thad "TK" Killian (4 -2) v Pendakar Bilat Tukur (2 -1)
Gene "The Sloth" Ciecelski (1-0)v A' Khas "The Leviathan" Fel (0- 1)

POFC 15: The Coming Curse
Prelims Absalom (2- 3) v Chino "Morbid" Huerta (1- 0) Boy did Hawyer Santori pitch a fit when his boy Heurta was put on the prelim match. Prodigy told him to stuff it. Anyway, this was a pretty quick match. Absalom was taken off his feet after Morbid pulled a guillotine and tripped the larger man to the mat. Absolom survived the choke, but was unable to survive an tranisition anaconda choke. Time was 1:10.
Ahnu (1- 3) v "Amazing" Wayne Mann (1- 3) "Amazing" Wayne Mann, hired back as a journeyman, looked impressive in this fight. Ahnu was the aggressor early on, throwing heavy combos but not doing much damage. Mann, was patient, and took the Jardilli down. Mann then transitioned from submission to submission, tying up Ahnu so much that he was unable to tap out when Mann applied a reverse crucifix choke. Mann held the sub for a while and finally let up. Ahnu had passed out at approximately 3:07. Medical crews had to revive Ahnu's breathing and this took several minutes. He was finally escorted out of the ring by medical staff.
Main Card
Thad "TK" Killian (4 -2) v Pendakar Bilat Tukur (2 -1) Pencat Silat fighter Tukur is back after a sprained ankle that kept him on the shelf last month. TK tried to bull rush the smaller Tukur, but The Pendakar was able to use the True Way Warrior's momentum against him and hit an nice drop- knee seoinage. Still dazed after being upended, TK was unable to defend the triangle choke Tukur applied . Refusing to tap, TK passed out. The ref stopped the fight immdeiately when he say TK go limp at 0:34. TK had to be helped from the ring by medical staff.
Roe Jogan caught up with the winner, Bilat Tukur.
"Wow was that some kind of judo throw you used there?" "Yes." "Uhh... okay, so could you talk us through the Stevie's Draft replay...." "No." "Well I guess we are not gonna get anything form him. SO ... uh.. did you hear the one about the redhead and the popsickle truck? Well one day...... wha? Uh, okay. Sorry folks I am being called back to the booth. The next fight is about start." Gene "The Sloth" Cicelski (1-0)v A' Khas "The Leviathan" Fel (0- 1) Corporate fighter Gene Cicelski was overwhelmed in this bout from the opening bell. The Leviathan outstruck the much larger man, and controlled him on the ground. The Sloth tried to mount some offense, but Fel had all the answers and eventually tapped Cicelski at 6:36 with a tail choke.
Roe Jogan down with our winner. "Hey, you won with a tail choke, is that legal?" "I usually kill my prey with my tail. Would you like to see how it works?" "No, not really....."
Neron "Minotauro" Arona (1- 1) v Gunnar (4- 2) Neron is making a good go of MMA fighting, he just seems to be fighting the wrong people to get his hooves wet. Gunnar blasted Minotauro with a stiff knee kick and then ended the fight with a spinning backfist at 2:31.
Roe Jogan is down with crowd favorite Gunnar. "Hey man, what a shot!" "Shut the hell up you poser!" "Hey man calm down! I just wanna talk...." "Yeah yeah, you just wanna talk to us and be around us and get to tell alla your buddies that you know us, that you are buds with us. Screw that and screw you! Go back to you menial little stand up job, you schmuck!"
Number 1 Contender Fight: Heavyweight Title: Maruk Terminus (2-1) v Raze (3-1) Terminus, a high price free agent, is a very talented fighter. But Raze had his number. Quickly moving to the clinch, Raze worked several takedowns, coming close to ending the fight several times with a guillotine choke. Terminus managed a sweet uranage, but raze got to his feet quickly and KOed the Aran with a right hook at 4:56.
Roe is with Raze now.
"Raze what a.." "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I won! I'm gonna fight for the belt!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOO!!!! I am going to Disney Planet!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "Wait a minute, most people go to Disney Plant after they win something big and you..." "What are you trying to say, that I did not have a big win?" "No I was ju..." " So, This was a win, right I did win, huh?" "Uh, yes" "And That scaly guy is supposed to be pretty good, right?" >sigh<" Yes" "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I'm going to Disney Planet!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!"
Super HeavyWeight Title Fight: Mensar (4- 2) v Puma (4-1) Mensar's first title defense and he is supremely confident. Puma is stalking back and forth and ready to go. The ref signals both fighters to the center of the ring for final instructions. He calls for a clean fight. Puma raises his glove for a touch, and Mensar turns and walks back to his corner! Puma backs up, nodding with malice in his eye. The ref calls the ball, and we are underway.
Mensar charges out, throwing heavy combos. Puma takes a few shots and then clinches up. The two men trade shots in the clinch, trying for a takedown. Mensar breaks the clinch and Puma is all over him. Several hard kicks find their mark- the Champ is reeling. Mensar fires back and stuns the challenger, and throws him with an great osoto gari. Puma hits the mat and pulls guard. Mensar throws a few hammerfists, and struggles. Puma sweeps and is on top, he clinches the neck and goes to a side position....Mensar taps! Mensar was submitted! Puma is the new champ! At 3:39, Puma submitted Mensar! How cow! Puma has beaten Mensar!!
President Niles Prodigy straps the Super Heavy title around Puma's waist and announces: "Winner and your new Super HeavyWeight Champion, Puma!"
Roe is now with the new Super HeavyWeight Champion: "Wow, great fight, you really controlled the flow in there. How do you think it went?" " Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwrrrrrrrr!!!! Obviously! I won did't I?" "Yes, well how did Mensar's not touching gloves affect you?" "The moron got what he deserved. I took respect from him. Rrrr." "Speaking of respect, what do you think of the Aethran Rage fighting in the POFC?" "Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!! No one can ever let that conflict go, can they? The Kilrathi- Aethran war was along time ago. It is no secret that my people bear no love for Aethrans, and I follow the same. Still, neither he nor I were alive during that time, so as long as he stays out of my way, we should be fine."
