I love this style too. I've been trying to figure out a way to play out my GWFZT without being too overwhelmed with trying to play every territory. This may be the way to go. If you are interested in more "Tribute" wrestlers, check out the CCW stuff in the COTG bootlegs. There are several wrestlers there that you could call tributes, that I'm thinking about using. Off the top of my head their is Phenom(AJ Styles), Rocket(Owen Hart), Cannon(Brian Pillman),Prototype(John Cena), Hawkeye(R Truth maybe?), and that's just a few. Not sure if they were meant to be tributes, or it's just a coincedence, either way, I think they would work well in the Clone Zone.

They weren't so much meant as tributes, but at the time I was horrible coming up with art descriptions and really liked these guys that I made into them. I can't recall honestly, but their moves may be different. I had Cena as Prototype before he was overly popular and just starting out as the heel in WWE. Hawkeye is indeed R-Truth, but when he was in TNA. Chris Czar is also there, my take on Chris Sabin from his TNA run before cable...There's a tag team in there with Joey Mercury (before he was JM) and not sure who the other one is at the time I really enjoyed using these indy guys before they were big time. Cool to see "where are they now."

Thanks, Rob.
The June edition of ZWI (top post) has been updated with results from the inaugural Speed Zone Light Speed tournament..
Also note, the initial ZOO card was run using traditional "fight card" style because I wasn't sure I wanted to run the ZOO as described in the handbook. I'm having second thoughts and may run it in that fashion after all, or I may alternate between fight card style shows that highlight the feuds and personal issues and the "Leader Of The Pack" events. Opinions welcome, of course.

Im in agreement with others who have commented. Very unique write up for your territories. Definitely accomplishes the feel of an old PWI issue. With that said seeing Powerslam beat Umagapotamus is a surprise but that could be because I havent used Powerslam much yet. Cool to see The Ace get a win even if its a count out.

Powerslam beat Umagapotamus is a surprise but that could be because I havent used Powerslam much yet. Cool to see The Ace get a win even if its a count out. I'm chalking the Powerslam win up to a fluke, although the character IS better than I thought he'd be. The Ace was actually in control of that match and may have gotten the pin but when it spilled outside Deftone's high starting pin caused the countout. The July edition of ZWI is coming in ten short days. Here's a preview of what's to come: Spotlight on Blindside and Blitz, The Brain Bashers! Get an inside look at their unique approach to competition in the GWFZ. They will reveal their "regular season" schedule and comment on their prospects of finishing at the top of their division, as well as their desire to go on to win the "Gravity Bowl". Are these guys twisted, suffering post-concussion delusions, or are they crazy like a fox? Maybe you can figure it out!Featured event: The Assassin Island Deathmasque Battle. The Master Assassin has crafted a brutal event to test the will, desire, and cunning of his Assassins. By the end of the night the craftiest, deadliest, and most determined amongst them will be awarded The Deathmasque, the most coveted prize on the Island. plus, the arena reports updated periodically throughout the month and featuring the hottest action from around the galaxy.

Assassin Island is another cool concept and what will happen in July for your Assassins and it'll be fun to see who wins the Death Masque...

ZWI: July edition Spotlight on: The Brain BashersThe Brain Bashers bring a---unique approach to competition to the GWFZ. Insisting on competing in 16 match (or "game") seasons, calling teams within their home territory "divisional opponents", and all of the other tired sports cliches a person can handle have many fans questioning whether these two took too many shots to the head in their pro ball careers. Others think they may just be crazy like a fox and it's all part of some psychological tactic. Either way, they have released their 16 game 2126 season schedule and here it is, along with comments from Blindside and Blitz. Brain Bashers' 2126 season schedule1. Rhythm And Bruise "Big win on opening day, baby!"2. Venusian Guard 3. Serpent And The Rainbow 4. More Beautiful And Beastly "They wouldn't even be our water boys!"5. Bros Before Heroes 6. Luck Day "It won't be such a lucky day for them!"7. Godspeed "Blindside got somethin special for you two."8. Mercury Rising "Make or break time."9. More Beautiful And Beastly 10.Rhythm And Bruise 11.Elitists "Full speed, all day. That's the way we play the game."12.Paranoia Paranoia WE'LL destroy ya!"13.Venusian Guard 14.Bros Before Heroes 15.Grindhouse "Let's go out there like a bunch of crazed dogs and have some fun!"16.Mercury Rising Arena Reports Planet Z from the Solar Flare Stadium, Mercury Hegemony demolished Beer League Brian, going OLD SCHOOL for the pin; Venusian Guard beat More Beautiful And Beastly when Apollo pinned Vain after JEWEL OF THE SKY; Mr. Psycho pinned Galactic Defender after an attack with the chain; The Brain Bashers beat Rhythm And Bruise after ALL OUT BLITZ on Man In Black; Mr. Vega defeated Illustrious with LET IT RIDE; Mercury Rising beat Bros Before Heroes in a cage match.Sisters Of The Stars Amaranth beat Diva....Of Doom!; Destina of Aethra pinned Lone Star; Nemesis defeated Sabre with "No Quarter"; Pitch Black dominated and defeated Princess Persephone; Miss Black put ALL ON BLACK to beat Solstice; Nightmare Nikki got RAVER'S REVENGE on Fang Banger; Andrea won an epic battle over Honey Bunny with the STRANGLE DROP.Featured Show: Battle For The Deathmasque! from Assassin Island Master Assassin entered the ring to much pomp and fanfare and announced his rules for the opening round. Assassins are to be paired up in teams of two and wrestle in qualifying matches. The man who gets beaten is gone from the competition and the one who gets the win automatically moves on to the championship. The other assassins not involved in the fall go on to the next round where they'll meet in an elimination match and the winner will advance to the championship round. Akuma and Kanazawa defeated Hoodlum and Death Knight 3 when Akuma pinned Hoodlum. DK3 and Hoodlum were at a disadvantage due to the superior teamwork of Akuma and Kanazawa. Kanazawa took DK3 off the apron as Akuma scored the pin to advance. After the match Akuma made a pact with Kanazawa to help him in the next round.ExZcutioner and Dogma defeated Harm and Y2K Kid Rumble. Y2K showed exceptional ruthlessness and cunning when he actually broke the pin as his own partner was trying for the win on Dogma, which would have meant Harm automatically advanced to the championship match. That ended up backfiring on Y2K though, as he ended up being the one to get pinned by ExZcutioner meaning he was eliminated from the competition.Master Assassin once again took center ring to put over his brilliance in coming up with such a tournament to test the determination, stamina, and resourcefulness of his Masked Assassins. After every sentence "applause" signs behind him would light up and he would stop to soak in the (forced) adulation. If those weren't enough the gun wielding guards on either side of the signs forced the issue. Once the Master Assassin was done stroking himself (figuratively, of course!) the action continued. Death Knight 3 won an elimination match to advance to the championship round. 1. Dogma pinned Kanazawa. Kanazawa looked for help from Akuma, but found none. 2. Death Knight 3 pinned Dogma. Dogma had no answer for the agility of the 3rd Knight. 3. Death Knight 3 defeated Harm. Ferocious battle. DK3 gutted it out to advance to the championship.Master Assassin entered the scene once again. The crowd knew the drill by this point and just started cheering wildly. Having his ego properly satisfied Master Assassin simply took a bow and introduced the participants for the championship match. Death Knight 3 finished his marathon night with a win to capture the Deathmasque. 1. Death Knight 3 pinned Akuma after Cosmic Lance. Kanazawa caused a distraction that set up his partner's defeat. 2. Death Knight 3 beat ExZcutioner with the Cosmic Lance.winner of the Deathmasque- Death Knight 3
