Spotlight on: The Clone Zone

The Clone Zone is owned and operated by eccentric artist (and rumored clone himself) Andy Pop and shows are held monthly at Andy's War-Hall, an arena built to be a replica of Madison Square Garden circa 1985. Andy has a special fondness for Earth pop culture and pro wrestling of the late 20th century and his roster is a clear reflection of this fact. Not all of Andy's clones come out quite like the originals however, but that doesn't mean they don't have a place in the CZ. The likes of Shiek Yerbouti, Valenstein, and Bookeroo bring their----unique abilities to the ring to do battle with more perfect clones like Big Superstar, Freak Out, and Avalanche. There are even occasional appearances by "pop clones" like Oak Ridge Monster, Cosmic Ray, and Johnny Gizmo.

Rings Of Saturn: Tag Team Title tournament

round one: Arial Foundation beat ExZcutioner and Death Knight III via disqualification; The Bulldogs defeated Assassin Creed when Kid pinned Akuma; The Serpent And The Rainbow beat Y2K Kid Rumble and Harm when Dragonlord pinned Y2K; Dogma and Hoodlum beat Titan Revenge when Hoodlum pinned Stryker.
semi-finals: The Bulldogs beat Arial Foundation when Titan Kid II pinned Flash; Hoodlum and Dogma upset Serpent And The Rainbow when Hoodlum pinned Quackenbush.

round one:Achilles beat Death Knight III via ACHILLES LOCK; Chalupacabra won by disqualification over Bro Gnarly when Bro got caught using DON'T TASE ME BRO!; Titan Kid II defeated Dread Pirate with a top rope bodypress; Andromeda Dragon defeated La Vuelta with Reptillian Mutilation; Bullet pinned Castaway; Magnifico defeated Torque with a running knee blast in a matter of seconds; Shiitake Jr. pinned Undercover Alien following MUSHROOM DRIVER; Blue Tornado used the TORNADO DDT to beat Chronoking.

The Ace won via countout over Deftone; Lucky Day defeated Godspeed when Irish Heat pinned Ajax; Joe Olsen defeated Atlas with a stepover toehold facelock; Hardcore Jim Steel beat Dogma with the STEEL TRAP; Pride pinned Natural Man Bobby Roberts with the PRIDE PUMP HANDLE to defend the Earth World title.

Tortalis pinned Trash Animan in a short opener.

Tortalis complained about opening the show instead of being in the main event. Trash Animan wanted to shut him up , but the tortoise with an attitude got the win.

Powerslam attempted an in-ring interview with Forlorn which was going nowhere when Umagapotamus rushed the ring and attacked Powerslam to begin the next match.

Powerslam used a FULL POWERSLAM to beat Umagapotamus.

Umagapotamus was savage as always, but Powerslam is tougher than he seems and picked up the huge win.

Ram Jam pinned Harris with the RAM JAM.

Ram Jam is a sentimental favorite, but the fans cringe and fear the worst every time he ascends to the top rope. It paid off this time though and the veteran picked up the win.

Razor Sharp defeated Chuck The Roo.

This was a hard-fought brawl. Razor Sharp didn't so much win as just survive and end up on top for the pin, as both men took a lot of punishment during the match.

Jack Rabbid pinned Chilly Fu.

Chuck The Roo and Chilly Fu should end up as a tag team, as it was obviously a rib on the ring announcer that these two were scheduled to compete one after the other. At any rate, the insane animan picked up the win over the popular penguin.

Andromeda Dragon won by disqualification over Cernunnos.

The bizarre one was overwhelmed by Dragon early on, but took over and got nasty. He took it too far and ended up getting disqualified.

Cardinal Sin and Saint Bernard defeated Sons Of Capricorn.

Cardinal Sin and Saint Bernard were surprising with their teamwork and The Sons ended up on the losing end of this long, thrilling tag team battle when Bernard pinned Ibex.

Pandamonium defeated Tusk in a no-disqualification Leader Of The Pack championship match.

Brutal. Bloody. Intense. The giants ripped into each other with the kind of ferocity reserved for a Leader Of The Pack match. Pandamonium picked up the win over his massive rival and took the championship.

Y2K and Harm lose, hope to see more of Y2K. LOL'd at Andy Pop and the War-Hall. Very funny. Cool feature on the zoo and the LOTP stuff.

I like this style / approach with your Territory write-up's and the touch of humor with Andy Pop and his Andy's War-Hall is killer...

Dogma & Hoodlum losing to the Titan Bulldogs is not a bad loss really...

I've taken a liking to Razor Sharp and it looks like he and Chuck another favorite had barn burner of a fight...

Too bad the Sons of Capricorn were offset by CS & SB, but that's the way the dice roll..

Great opening Mark! Love the section by section overview you are doing so far...however, Tortalis winning?!??!!? I call major sheenigans on that one! ;D

That was a cool show. I plan on bringing Avalanche (and Draconian Sheik's second card) to my GWFZ for a bit of action as well.

Y2K and Harm lost, but it was an excellent match. ZWI will be featuring Y2K more in the future for sure. As far as Andy Pop and the War Hall goes, I just tried to imagine what kind of mind would come up with all of these clones and why. Warhol the artist was known for his pop art "reproductions" so it seemed like a natural.

Neily, you got it; playing this way gives me a lot of leeway and I can just play out whatever territory the mood strikes instead of worrying about heavy write-ups and show-to-show continuity. This implies lots of stuff going on "off camera" that I can just recap and come back to whenever the mood strikes so everything stays fresh.

CC, Dogma is so good (and Hoodlum's pretty good too) that the team made it all the way to the finals with a total of three defense tags between them. And all on level 1, no less. Sons Of Capricorn got some bad rolls and Saint Bernard really was hot for that match. A rematch is definitely in order.

Tortalis was the beneficiary of dreaded "snake eyes" on his first pin attempt! Olympus will be seeing action shortly since the Clone Zone is the territory I've been planning and most looking forward to running since I heard about them being a part of GWFZT (I've printed up a lot of "tribute" type characters out of the pdf download library here over the past few months just for this reason).

I agree with Troy on it being a Cool show and this is an exciting time with all these New ZT cards...

It'll be interesting to see if Y2K can win for me which his match is coming soon...

Plus, it will be Fun to see how your ZWI unfolds Mark...
