Good stuff Swarm.
Damn refs messed up last week at GB. Our defense didn't help.
As for playing the Saints, expect the worst but hope for the best. You never know. If we don't turn the ball over and can answer TDs, we have a chance!
Either way, to make it this far was like winning the Super Bowl anyway. Godspeed LIONS!!!

Today is a GREAT day to be a Lions fan! 1st playoff game in over a decade! I vivdly remember Paul Edinger hitting a FG to beat the Lions and it led to the Matt Millen era.
Schwartz got hired after the worst season in NFL history 0-16. He drafts Stafford, who gets hurt and they go 2-14, but end last season on a 4 game win streak to go 6-10.
Now this season despite losing their top 2 draft picks for most of the season, Stafford hurts his hand, top RB Jahvid Best goes on IR, Stafford throws for 5,000 yds and the Lions go 10-6!
I really hope they beat the Saints but I realize that's a long shot, but even if they lose, at least their last game of the season will have been a playoff game!
GO LIONS!

Since i have lived within 100 miles of New Orleans for over 12 years the team has grown to become my "second" team (i will forever be a RAIDERS fan...forever...childhood team). Saying that, if the refs had NOT blown the whistle on the fumble this game is completely different. Lions go up 21 - 7 on that play and the Saints would have changed their game plan to start pressing to get big plays much sooner than they did...would have played to the Lions. I will tell you i was not comfortable until the second Saints interception...until then i still thought the Lions had a chance to come back.
They are going to be very good next year...and i hope Best come back stronger than ever (since i have him in the Keeper League, i really NEED him to be the guy!)

Well, we went out fighting! I actually thought we'd be done in by the 2nd quarter but we were in it until the early 4th!
Too bad for Stafford throwing 2 interceptions. It was also unfortunate we blew the opportunities with the fumbles we recovered from the Saints.
But, we made our statement this year. We're now a team to watch again! Young, hungry, and successful. God bless Schwartz, Stafford, Johnson, and everyone else who turned this thing around!
It was an incredible season filled with drama. What a ride. Can' wait til September!
Now my blood pressure can return to normal.
LIONS!!!

This is the play all Lions faithful will point to but in all actuality the whistle blew BEFORE the recovery which means the ball SHOULD have remained with the Saints. The Lions should not have even gotten the ball let a lone a TD. The refs blew this call all the way around but no matter 45 yes 45-28 says it all. Rejoice though Lions fans because your team is going to get nothing but better and better and will be so for a long time. I see 2 (at least) Super Bowl titles in their near future.

The whistle should never have been blown in the first place. Something has to be done about the refs next season. Roger Goodell holds his players accountable for everything from how they tackle to how they wear their socks. When will the refs begin being treated the same? Overall nothing to complain about. I'm positive Lions unhappy but as a fan it was a hell of a season. Tons of ups and downs, a lot to learn from. Both on the field on off of it. Looking forward to our 4th straight grade A draft this April and be back next year.

110% agree with all you said, the refs single handily cost the Lions their game with the Packers. There was 2 horrible calls, the worst being the NO TD when Titus clearing caught the ball and got both feet down. Like I said though rejoice because your future is bright indeed. I see a cat super bowl soon, very soon. LIONS vs. Bengals...... These teams have done major builds and are primed for dominance.
